BullionVault: gold and silver Reviews

This company took $150 from my newly opened account (over the course of 5 months x $30 for late penalty fees). I was in the hospital during that time. After many emails, they only agreed to return a single $30 payment!

I don’t appreciate companies that capitalize on fees, and they said that they weren’t that kind of company. So why take $120 from me for nothing? 1 star, for practically stealing from me.

Look elsewhere (GoldMoney is better) unless you LOVE fees.

I LOVE this app. Their process for trading PM is excellent. Very good customer service. BullionVault does seem to be a bit glitchy but all I use it for is just checking balances and values every couple of days.

Second by second price & very useful charts for gold. One of the best apps on apple store

Nice app but desperately needs facial password unlock support.

I've been playing with BullionVault today and really like it. Clean interface, charts are nicer looking than on the website. Personally, I'd love to see the ability to set a pin number security access to BullionVault , which would make me feel better about staying logged in. I don't like logging in and out when I'm trading because my password is rather long. It would also be nice to be able to read the news and analysis available on the website... then I could go completely mobile.

It used to be ok, but after the last update, it crashes when I try to login.

5 stars if only there were an option to display everything in oz instead of kg. Kg is about as meaningless as showing my USD bank account in EUR. I guess it's the same limitation as their website which could use the same improvement instead of providing a calculator for me to do the math. It's a small change (or so it's seems) that would make a huge difference in the user experience. I'll even pay a few bucks for it.

Very nice app. Very simple and useable. Graphs are great too. The only issue I have is that, like most of the world, I am used to the price of gold and silver per ounce, not per kilogram. On the website you can easily select between the two, but not on BullionVault . I'm not sure why they don't have this option. BullionVault is handy for me to login and see my balance, but what I really want to check is the price per ounce.

Does exactly the same thing as web page. Charts look very good compared to the web app. Would highly prefer using BullionVault.

I like BullionVault , the chart is awesome but there are a couple of things u need to improve
1. After logging in the first thing that should be displayed should be the customer balance/holding
2. There should be a setting to change kg to oz
3. The order history screen shows value for 1kg of gold / silver , i prefer to see my order amount instead of amount for 1kg of gold

Other than those things I like BullionVault !!!

App freezes immediately after opening it. How people who want you to feel safe keeping bullion with them put out a product like this I don't know. Hoping to see the freezing issue fixed to be able to see if it is a useable app or not. Unusable until then.

I can access the charts but I can not log into my account. Please fix this.

I think we need to have choice to keep old app without upgrading.
Right now that option is not available.

When a user is authenticated and signed in -if the session is let to be inactive- pretty common scenario - and he clicks on account tab a weird unhandled exception comes. App is pretty much unusable after that. You can’t even restart or wait for hours also won’t bring back app just a blank white screen. Only recourse left is restart phone. Seriously bad quality check

My device won't run ios 8, and since BullionVault update requires it, it is now unusable. Stupid.

No option for viewing the price as currency/oz

BullionVault was a poor afterthought of data.

App looks decent enough, but half the point is to be able to manage an account and buy/sell. If you can't log in (username or password incorrect) then you can't do what BullionVault is meant for. I can log in fine on the website.

The latest update appears to have either increased the default font size or added dynamic font size capability on the iPhone. By default, the font size is too large, causing the locations and amounts to wrap on the markets screen. The dynamic font size can be reduced in the iPhone Settings to bring the this app font size to a normal size, but this will make the font too small for other apps. I would not have updated BullionVault had I known they were going to make this change. The previous version had the perfect font size.
