GOAL gets the formation wrong every time. I’m a wolves supporter and today is wolves vs watford. GOAL said wolves were playing a 343 formation when it was actually 3421. Another time with El-Classico, GOAL said Real Madrid we’re playing a 433 and it said Isco was in LW. Even when the match started they didn’t bother to change it. It makes you look like an idiot in front of your friends. I showed my friends the el Classico formations on this app and they thought I was joking. It’s called ‘this app’ for a reason, it’s best known for getting goals early.

this app used to be a great app. I have used this app for news and scores for probably 8 years at least and its gotten to the point where I hate to use it anymore. For starters, the AD’s are incredibly intrusive. Its one thing for AD’s to just be everywhere but this app forces them upon you and anytime you open GOAL or a story AD’s constantly pop up in your face and you cant even use GOAL until time has expired. I cant even remember one AD because I get so mad when it pops up I refuse to look at it. Additionally media does not work on the iphone app. I have never been able to open a story with a video and watch it on the iphone app. Multimedia on iphone apps is pretty norm so it shouldnt be hard to deliver videos to a mobile iphone app.

In my opinion, this is the best application to use for football news and live scores. If you know how to use it, GOAL can be wonderful. Just turn on notifications and set some teams/leagues you like in your favorites. You sometimes get live scores notifications before happening on tv, you can tell it’s a this app and flex on your friends without them knowing. Talking about football news, they send notifications of the latest rumors and news about your favorite clubs.

Upon opening GOAL , it was showing the revolving loading circle on the blue screen for a long time and would not progress past it until I minimized GOAL and brought it back up again. Sometimes when I open up a page, GOAL has some random ad audio paying even if there is no video ad on the page.
You needn't have destroyed the ease of use of GOAL by introducing ads. You make solid content that a lot of the soccer community would be more than happy to pay for if you decided to make a pay-to-remove-ads feature.

I used to love GOAL. It has stayed at the top of my football (soccer) news apps through multiple generations of iPhones. I can’t remember the update where the relationship began to degrade, I just know that now it is no longer tolerable. For one reason: ads! I know apps make money from ads (we all experience it), but GOAL forces it down your throat. You can’t even open GOAL without an ad popping up (without warning) and with no visible way to close or stop it. If you have the patience to actually make it to an article, be prepared to be “attacked” again. The this app app was world-class, no I’m looking to the bench. Plenty of other apps for the football news I’m looking for.

GOAL is nowhere to be found now on my iPhone, I uninstalled it.

Adapting to the biased writers and the poor editor’s choices in articles was easy. Given the fact this app did an excellent job in keeping you up to date with soccer statistics from around the world.

Now this app’s app is an atrocity to all news and entertainment apps thanks to their broken ADS. I don’t mind closing an advertisement once in a while to support the company. What I do mind is having to close ads two to three times at a time. In one session alone I’ve been bombarded with 4 ads in a span of 5 seconds !!! Unacceptable !

After the inconvenience of scanning for the x button around the screen, I’m ready to digest the content with a little music... Well you can’t, you see this app controls your devices audio, so you’re forced to watch their ads with full audio. Then you’re expected to return to your music app and reselect your playlist/song just so you can continue vibing to your music.

Well, I’m vibing out of this app’s foul and annoying joke of an App.

The World Cup is over, can we have the old app back now? I hate the new app. I hate it I hate it I hate it!!! What makes it more frustrating is that it used to be amazing. How could it fall so low?

I can’t get specific news anymore. Like I can’t search arsenal and get news, I have to go go to the website for that. Then the adds are so intrusive, they just pop up. It used to be tolerable, but now they’re every where. At least I could still read news bout a league, team or country. Now it’s whatever is compiled for me and it stupid. I’m actually thinking dumping GOAL for an alternative. Still hoping an update comes out to fix this.

When I first started using this app as an app I was blown away by how great it was. I could search for team specific news, see the games scheduled to play that day across the world, and follow live games with ease.

The newest update has gotten rid of most of that. It is now almost impossible to follow anything live on the iPhone app. You click into the story and it just loads a blank page with adds on it. Additionally, team specific news is gone. I can no longer read stories that may not be headlines on GOAL because all they show us are the headlines.

Used to be a great app. Now I don’t know why I still have it on my phone.

I think I am going to delete GOAL. Its on my phone since 2010 but these days ads are too much. I understand advertising is needed but a 15 second video with high sound which i cant skip. Last day i want to see a score during dinner, the girl in the ad screaming like she was moaning and all my family members were looking at me surprised. Time to say bye unless they change add policy. As a soundless app i at least hope the ads should be also soundless.

Poker adds just to open GOAL ....team schedules that don’t start at most recent events leaving you to scroll through the past season to see recent games...recommended teams and leagues I don’t care about show up before my favorited teams and leagues...same style articles I read in the past three years(ronaldo wont be able to do this/that, madrid don’t miss ronaldo soon to be real lack ronaldo firepower, fluff piece for messi, mourinho is garbage) this app lacks original content, is difficult to navigate and gives you more adds than useful information.

Do yourself the favor and delete GOAL now.

GOAL used to be my favorite football go-to news app. Since the past few months, i ve seen more ads pop-up than the actual soccer news. It gets further annoying when the ads auto-open GOAL Store to install a “scam” app even when we try to close and re-open it. While I understand that ads are renumeration for these companies, do not force users to watch those ads.
Currently looking for another football news go-to app.

I would be writing a better review for GOAL but alas GOAL rarely ever works properly on IOS. Fails to update score lines or send notifications when events in matches happen. But will then bombard my phone with countless notifications hours after the match is over, finally letting me know. App is not currently showing ANY matches in GOAL right now. Unbelievable. Fix your app. Also, I’ll be more than glad to pay to get rid of those annoying ads.

Used to be my top app. Used to check this app at least 7to 8 times at least a day. Now it’s been months. The direction in which they are moving towards with their app is disappointing. Add popup non-stop, GOAL crashes constantly, no supply for iPhone X, and overall lack of new content. Although I have been hearing and reading that the people at this app have been hiring more credible sources and trying to catch their previous spark. However if they keep repeating the same mistakes they are doing I can’t see my self using GOAL again.

GOAL used to be my favorite to keep up with futbol but as the upgrades kept coming it all started to go down hill. The main reason being it became a cash cow for ads. Every time you open GOAL you’re forced to watch an ad but god forbid you accidentally click on the ad cause then to get back to app you have to watch another ad. You can even listen to music and read anymore due to the fact that all the ads are on auto play so it stops your music. The developers have got greedy and destroyed GOAL.

It keeps getting worse and worse somehow. Now you can’t even switch apps while reading an article because the article text will start disappearing after locking the screen/switching apps for even one second.

Completely incompetently coded, and has been for years and years. The ads don’t help at all. There are just too many ads. Nor does the X button that closes the ad when it moves from left to right to trick you into clicking the ad. Shame on you.

I LOVE GOAL and I’m not one of those people who r friends with the owners and just say this to make people download GOAL so this is LEGIT. Like I said this is the best football app ever but I have an idea to make it EVEN BETTER :

1. Add a place where u can send friend requests to people and then u can make friends

2. With those friends then u can make groups where u can chat in about football

3. In those groups u can also bet points that u get so let’s say u start with 100 points then u can bet those points on game and then who ever wins the bet get the whole tables points

I can’t even read an article in peace without some obnoxious ad popping up and forcing me to wait a minute to exit out. On top of that some articles are becoming less like news and more like a neck-bearded meme page. I’ve been a fan of this app for a long time, but unless it starts to remove these annoyances, I might have to look elsewhere for my source of football news

I like it, simple to use, easy, I’m able to see all my favorite teams and keep up with the latest news

I run a business. I get the need to make money. But why on earth does anyone think they forcing someone to watch an ad the second they press on the ad? Do you realize how many people turn off GOAL ? I deleted it the second this happened.

It is obnoxious and yet another sign of how out-of-touch advertisers continue to be with customers.

I wonder why anti ads continue to be the most sought after extension for every browser?

This has to be the ultimate football app from a global perspective! The amount of data is beyond huge. You could spend hours trawling around in it.
I’ve got a few of us in the office into it so you can guess productivity is dropping off work wise!

In the old version it was quicker to view news for my team now i have to tap and scroll just to go to my teams news but other than that its great especially since it shows almost every league and the notifications are quick
