It’s very buggy. I have multiple teams and if I click on my Thursday team schedule to change my availability, it pulls up my Saturday team.
MatchTimeSports is great in concept but I am working on a tablet and I have no idea how to add players, edit information, etc.....I went on google and looked for how to edit on this site, yet when I go to my tablet there at NO TABS FOR EDITING. This is really frustrating because I have added several team members and instead of just sending out emails on TennisPoint, as I had anticipated, I have to create an email on TennisPoint and then forward it to the new team members or just create an email outside of the TennisPoint app. It’s also frustrating for the players I cannot invite to join the site since they feel out of the loop and I can’t get their availability unless I send an email asking them. If someone could tell me how to make edits or add new players I would really appreciate it.
I have been using MatchTime (previously TennisPoint) since 2018. For the most part, I love having MatchTimeSports for its ability to allow players to set availability and to view multiple teams from multiple leagues. However, I now am a captain and have been having a few problems with MatchTimeSports .
First, I am unable to load multiple accounts although I didn’t have this issue in the past with TP.
Secondly, MatchTimeSports has a problem with syncing new players that were added to the team (I.e. via USTA) after the original team and roster was imported. The player name will appear on the roster, but when trying to add the player to the lineup, I receive a message that the person is not registered.
I appreciate when teams use MatchTimeSports but I have one huge suggestion. I would like to see a calendar of when each my teams have matches. If I get put in a lineup I need to quickly know if I have indicated my availability for other matches on that same day so i can make myself unavailable. As it is now I have to cycle through every team to make sure I update my availability. Using a calendar function I would like to see each team’s matches in chronological order. Also, when I look at the schedule on the mobile app I cannot see the times of the matches. It’s a great app but still needs improvements.
I captain both USTA and ALTA teams and enjoy having MatchTimeSports handy so I can manage my teams from my mobile devices. However, I really wish the developers would make a couple of changes:
1. Please allow captains to deselect players not in the lineup when sending out lineups. You can do this from the site, but not MatchTimeSports and my players don’t want to be bombarded by emails when they have plans for the weekend.
2. Please give captains the option to print blank scorecards from MatchTimeSports . Modern day printers will allow you to print from mobile devices over a WiFi connection.
3. I know the site has posted that they’re working on auto input of USTA scores, but it’s really tedious as a captain to have to input these manually, especially when we’ve already done so once a match through the USTA site! Please continue to work on this!
All in all, my players like the ability to change their availability through MatchTimeSports and find it more convenient to use. We switched from netlineup (although I never used their app, just the site) and plan to stick with TennisPoint for now.
Great app, lacks 2 things... Ability to enter scores and copy/paste the court address. I understand that as a captain you can enter scores, however our captain understandably wants us to enter our own scores asap. So it would be nice to enter them right after the match via MatchTimeSports as the web version is cumbersome to navigate from a phone. Also, I understand you can open up the location in Waze or other GPS app, but there are other reasons to copy/paste the address. Such as to put on my calendar or to paste in text. I can see the address, but it's baffling to me why copying to the clipboard would be disabled.
It would be perfect if we were able to text our team without an additional charge.
Love that all teams are in one place with all the details of matches, practices, roster, location, etc.
The one opportunity is to improve the addition to calendars from MatchTimeSports .
Many fits and starts and not as obvious as it could be.
I had to poke around using my Game Changer days intel to find the link, etc. very clunky process. Doable, but not streamlined or intuitive .
I just switched over to matchtime after years of using Tennis Point. A lot is the same but I really miss the old dashboard features. There used to be a calendar with a monthly color coding view to let you know what matches were going on that month and if you were in the lineup. It also used to show me who else signed up for tennis practices. Both features are gone and I miss them.
I like what you’re trying to do with MatchTimeSports . There are just a few things that would make it so much better. It is difficult to schedule lineups in MatchTimeSports because you can’t see all of the info that you need to see when doing that. Announcements and things like that that you can put on the dashboard don’t even show up on MatchTimeSports , also, I would like to be able to see stats on MatchTimeSports . One other thing that I think would add a lot is if there were a notes section when adding in matches in draft mode that the captain could list which players would be scheduled for two weeks ahead, when you don’t want to post the line up yet.
With that said, I did give four stars because there is a lot of potential and their support team is great.
There are a ton of “team management” apps out there, and I guess there are some sports they work fine for. But those apps are as useful for tennis team management as a basketball scoreboard is for keeping score of a mixed doubles match.
As a USTA rec player, I’ve suffered through many seasons of confusing communication about availability, lineups, and practice opportunities. As a USTA captain, I’m relieved I found MatchTime!
MatchTime does what I need. It syncs with USTA data, it stores contact info for the opposing teams, it lets me configure my lines and scoring, it exports to CSV and PDF, and it helps me communicate with my team.
As with any app, there are areas for improvement; but MatchTime is simply the best tool for tennis team management.
Make life easier…some are attempting to copy it. Use it. It makes life easier for sure!

I’ve been using MatchTime and MatchTimeSports for double digit years. MatchTimeSports is super convenient, particularly on match day when I need directions. MatchTimeSports has full functionality and is easy to use.
I captain a USTA team in Austin Texas. MatchTimeSports has been so helpful in streamlining team communication with 17 players. It makes doing the lineup so much easier too! It took a couple of weeks to get my ladies used to using it, but now it’s working great!! I schedule team practices weekly, send out lineups, team emails, record scores (which link to USTA website) all thru MatchTimeSports. Definitely recommend!!
That are very courteous and professional. They take the time to explain how to use MatchTimeSports and if you have a problem technical support is there to solve the problem
App is really easy to use. It allows you to set your availability so the team captain can plan a roster properly. It also keeps track of your teams ranking within the division. It is very handy.
