I have to agree with many of the other reviews: the updates are so far and few in between, that you can hardly call the content "news".

On the Politics page, the articles mostly relate to the November 2012 elections, and are between 150 & 175 days old. That means LongBeachPressTelegram is so important to the PT that they look at it every six months, whether or not they need to.

LongBeachPressTelegram constantly crashes, and updates to current news are often slow.

Good app. But the advertise got to go. You cant read the paper without that glaring advertisement for cars distracting your eyes and make me close LongBeachPressTelegram and go somewhere else. Your so broke you need to make people happy this would be a good way.

Deleting LongBeachPressTelegram . You can't read most of the articles now. You have to buy an account ? Good job. Long beach always finds a way to try to get money out of things.

Why do I now have to purchase a subscription to view any articles? I'll just rely on the always dependable google news.

App is bad, newspaper is getting worse, local long beach app with only LA weather? Photos and news stories primarily out of town news...we want local info, stories and focus...the rest of the Internet serves all the general info in a million other places...get the hint before you take what was a great local newspaper and run it into the ground.

Once I select an article, LongBeachPressTelegram asks for my sign-in information then kicks me out of the article and back to the headlines. I have not had to enter account information previously in order to read articles. Annoying.

LongBeachPressTelegram is terrible. There's no way to search for something specific, not to mention trying to find Archbold, Grobaty, etc.
Not that it's not perfect (to be sure), but the L.A. Times has the PT app beat in every way.
Get a pro in there to get LongBeachPressTelegram straightened away.

Gives basic info for news. Would be better if the obituaries weren't the first link. Maybe moving it down the list would be better and not the first link.

The application is terrible. All you can see are the top two or three stories that I suppose the editors choose. We subscribe to the print edition. If you are out of town and want the news that is in the Press Telegram you are out of luck. I gave it two stars...should have been one.

I've been using iOS 5 for a long time and would prefer not to update it, yet I'm not even able to use LongBeachPressTelegram without updating it now, and I can't update because I have iOS 6? How about instead of adding new features and such, how about investing in backwards compatibility? I used to like LongBeachPressTelegram so, two stars.

It's done me well but it's not doing everything but it could be my continueist updating lol

Haven't been able to read a single article since the update on 1/6/15. After clicking, it would immediately divert me back to the headlines. If you have photographic memory, this would be great...

The old layout was much better. This updated version is not user friendly. I agree with a previous reviewer-the info needs to be updated more frequently.

Very much improved since 2012 and its only going to get better. Only concern is the quality of writing and reporting has decreased, I think the PT lost some staff because it hasn't been the same. But app is great nonetheless.

I downloaded LongBeachPressTelegram and I like the look, the ease of use, and the news seems to be updated as often as the website is updated. Very user friendly. I like being able to choose a category or just read the breaking news headlines for quick and easy access to the latest information on the street. I recommend the Press Telegram app.
