Wont let me in

2022-05-29

Literally won’t let me login. I try to attach my facebook and it says “ User is not allowed to see the application.: The user is not allowed to see this application per the developer set configuration.”. Literally The most frustrating thing on this earth that there isn’t a settings button or way to troubleshoot through SchoolsApp .

Inactive account

2022-06-30

I logged in once with my Facebook account and I wasn’t able to access anything. Kept saying error messages. So I deleted SchoolsApp and tried again a few days ago and it says my account is inactive. It makes no sense because my school resent my invitation to join SchoolsApp and I haven’t been able to access it and I’m not sure what it is going on. Would be awesome if I can actually ACCESS SchoolsApp !

Y’all should fix this 👀

2022-06-24

Really dislike how i can only communicate or see people who are in my graduating class. My roommate and i are looking for another roommate but can’t see anyone who isn’t a sophomore like me... Doesn’t make sense.

Also, the gender options on SchoolsApp are incredibly annoying and offensive to anyone who has to go through feeling invalid by their gender, you make fun of it by listing ridiculous options like “unicorn” and “earthworm” . Sad... i wish my school cancelled whatever connection they have with SchoolsApp.

It just won’t work

2022-09-01

Every time I open SchoolsApp . I get stuck on a page that says “connecting” and at the bottom of the screen it says that it requires an internet connection. I am connected to wifi that works, and i know this because every other social media app I have works perfectly. So as of right now, i can’t even use SchoolsApp

You absolute philistines.

2022-08-26

This is the most absurd, idiotic, boomer-designed app I have ever encountered in my life. Hunter college requires that I use this piece of worthless filth to select my classes, and I can honestly say I’d rather get circumcised and then go to a nightclub and spend my entire night viciously grinding my wounded member on the fattest, sweatiest, most disgusting people I can find whilst wearing no undergarments. It’s truly spectacular what a dysfunctional piece of absolute trash SchoolsApp is- I hope the developers read this and know that I am not exaggerating when I say that I have literally met 13 year olds who have created better functioning apps than this one.

Okay I guess

2022-09-27

Seems like a good idea for an app, but there’s no notifications for it. I have to manually go in to view my messages, which kinda defeats the purpose of meeting and chatting with new potential college friends or finding a roommate. Also, I keep having errors pop up when I try to open it. I end up having to exit out and log back in about three times before it works again. Hopefully they update soon

glitch

2022-12-05

i literally hate when apps have buggs or glitches and you cant even BEGIN to use them. like this kept telling me to log in with facebook (first of all who even uses facebook anymore) and every time i clicked log in it kept reloading the log in page over and over again

For those who are anti Facebook

2023-01-05

Not sure why with all the news on Facebook with its leaks and controversies why organizations insist on still utilizing them. There has to be a better way for students to be able to meet and participate without telling Facebook their personal business. I’m also not thrilled about having a system that connects nationwide and that you can be looked up. I’m sure some find this great but I find it too much of a security issue. I will just check the school site online to see about any happenings there thanks.

Lots of Potential, Less Functional

2022-12-30

An okay platform that gets information across. It’s be really nice if I could access people’s profiles from my messages, that’d save me 2 minutes from typing their same into the search bar. There should be a separate feed for school approved people to give information, that way it isn’t lost in the posts.

good idea, poor execution

2023-03-10

SchoolsApp has some really good things and some flaws. first, i love how you can connect directly to staff at your school. however, notifications don't always work and sometimes ill get a message somebody sent me a few days ago late. i also like the many different ways you can narrow down your search. but, sometimes SchoolsApp literally doesn't work. i get error messages all the time, and i have to delete SchoolsApp and redownload it for it to go away. i also don't like that you have to connect to facebook, as not everyone has a facebook anymore. one thing i think SchoolsApp could benefit from is a huge update, as this hasnt been updated in 7 months. in the update i think you should fix bugs, get rid of the facebook thing or at least add more options like twitter, insta, google, and finally, add a quiz that can help you narrow down your results that would include something like room temp, sexuality, political stance, etc.

I can no longer use the app

2023-03-04

Since I have had to connect through my Facebook recently I have been unable to use SchoolsApp . SchoolsApp keeps crashing and has told me my school isn’t part of the community when I was using it a few weeks ago with my university.

Has potential

2023-04-02

Needs one of the computer science or programmers from the schools to take a look at SchoolsApp im sure they or even i (with minimal java and c++ knowledge) can execute a better and simpler program thats easier to use and a key word search option. with more demand may come more improvements.

Notifications Bug?

2023-05-04

I have an iPhone 6 and I tried to activate my notifications for SchoolsApp. When I did that, I still didn’t receive any notifications even when I get messages on SchoolsApp . Is this a bug or something?

Has potential

2023-06-04

SchoolsApp definitely has potential to be great ,especially if more people utilized it. Anytime I have a question ,other student AND THE STAFF ! Reply so quickly, so I barely ever have to be confused. Also ,we should be able to access SchoolsApp without a Facebook account. Not everyone has a Facebook & you shouldn't eel forced to make a social media page just to have access to interact with your school through SchoolsApp. Overall , I wish more people used it & I wish it did not require a Facebook account.

Good idea, bad execution

2023-07-06

I like the thought behind this, but there are a few things that really need upgrading. First, notifications don't work for me. The only way I've found is to have them email me when I get a private message, or comments on a post. Second, way too often does it crash and come up with a message saying "Schools app error" This should not happen as it drastically lowers the usability. Finally, add a block feature, or mute. If someone I'm not interested in talking to keeps messaging me, I shouldn't have to put up with it. Fix these, and it'll be wonderful

Great app with some bugs

2023-08-06

So SchoolsApp worked really great for 2 of my schools. Unfortunately I decided to attend the one which SchoolsApp does not work. I contacted my school’s IT department and the customer service at TargetX (company that owns this app). The lady I talked to was soooo nice and very helpful but the problem still exists.

Some good features...

2023-10-15

I use this to network with classmates since I am an online student. For the most part its kind of like Facebook but for college. The downsides are you can't block people, you can't customize your experience, and you are bombarded with notifications.

No notifications?

2023-11-15

The design of SchoolsApp could be better, but it’s alright. Also, I don’t get any notifications so I constantly have to keep checking on it to see if there are any updates to things :/

Different

2023-12-17

SchoolsApp is pretty easy to use once you actually get signed in but the gender options include a few weird things such as “agenda”, “me me big boy”, “earthworm”, “toaster”, “Walmart”, and also “confused by all the options”

But other than that, it’s a great app

Will not work

2023-12-11

SchoolsApp stopped work. I have uninstalled and reinstalled and it says it needs an internet connection. I am connected. I am writing this review. I love SchoolsApp and I need it to work. Can someone help with this?
