I really want to like Yrno, especially because I like Norwegians. But there are a couple of problems. First, it is slow to start. You need to do more cacheing or prefetching or something so that it seems more responsive, even if the data are a little bit stale when Yrno first loads.

Second, every morning at 6:15 AM, I get a notification with the weather report for the weather for, in order: tonight, this afternoon, this evening. That is not chronological order at all, and it skips the most important thing, which is this morning. As in, “what do my kids need to wear to school today?”

Also, my wife heard me leaving this review, and wanted me to ask why you need to check location three times a day. When there’s only one notification a day.

Yrno is the best weather app I have encountered to date. I love the Sky animation showing not only the cloud coverage but also the moon phase, moon rise, transit and setting time. Yrno is also the only free weather app that doesn’t sell your location information to advertising agencies. Fantastic weather app all around

Really wanted Yrno to work - it’s clean, has beautiful UI, is ad free, and even shows the state of the moon and when it rises and sets (in the background animation).
However, it appeared totally inaccurate.
I tried it for a bit, regularly comparing it with other weather sources; Yr was always way off from the others, sometimes by as much as ten degrees.

This version has broken the list of locations under "My places". It used to work.

There is a little pencil to indicate editing the list, and you can hold and drag to change the order of the places in the list. But it doesn't keep the order. It looks like it is always reverting to alphabetical order. As a result, it will not ever start with my preferred location. It always shows a different location.

For example, if I add "St. Louis (Missouri)" and "Albuquerque" to "My places", then it always starts with Albuquerque, and reverts to Albuquerque, even if I go back to the list and click on St. Louis.

This makes it completely inconvenient. Otherwise, I really like it.

At first it had accurate forecast, and now it also has beautiful graphics to go along with it.

Yrno is one of only two apps I have used that is accurate. I would love it if you guys can add apple watch compatibility... I would happy pay to support ongoing development of Yrno.

There is only one way I can criticize Yrno: the wind speeds (Cape Town) are often very wrong, compared to all other weather apps I use - Weatherbug, Windy, AccuWeather. Today and the rest of this week, the wind speeds are roughly one quarter of the other above apps.

They did a really good job with the UI and it’s the best no-nonsense weather app in Yrno store

This is not an app that gets a lot of publicity, but definitely deserves high praise. Does what it says, simply and in an easy to understand way.

A visually appealing app but it does not track my location despite being given permanent always on location access. Secondly the weather data is inaccurate, a day of heavy rain and it is reporting 1mm of rain. Uninstalled.

Using Yrno but because it doesn’t have UVI data I have to look it up the stock iOS Weather app.

Love Yrno but the map function never works on my phone. Not once has the radar ever shown. Just the map pin and the sad “loading” circle ...

Great features and nice look, but I finally deleted this after 3 months of back-and-forth with my wife about what the weather would be (she uses a different app) and my constantly ending up wrong.

By far most accurate weather app.

I find it very useful in Europe and pretty good i. North America but sometimes less accurate there with rain forcaste.

After the update it takes 3 clicks to get to a location overview that took only one click before.

The good: free and unique UI

The bad: inaccurate, 10 degrees off compared to other apps.

Verdict: looks good but inaccurate weather report. Once improved, it’s a nice app.
