May as well use the site

The this app app has never been a winner. It can’t show you what you’ve ordered for a given day if the 9:00am ordering deadline has passed. It crashes when you try to save required options for a dish. It never did save your delivery preferences if, for example, you work in an office with two floors. Fooda would set no default location but required a location before confirming an order so if you frequently forgot to pick your floor at least Fooda would remind you to pick one — it would be better to be able to save a preference but it seems that saving preferences is too complicated a puzzle for the this app app developers to solve. Now — they’ve topped themselves. Fooda chooses a default for you! It doesn’t save one, mind you, it just picks a floor and sets that as your delivery location so you’re no longer reminded to choose one and if you happen to forget that you have to choose the right floor you’ll end up with good delivered to the wrong place. Is it a small inconvenience? Sure. But honestly, how have you managed to make a bad app worse!

Could be better, could be worse E

It gets frustrating when it’s stated that the vendor is supposed to be there until 1:30, but they’re usually packing up before 1pm (because they’ve already sold out). Also frustrating when we don’t learn that vendor can’t make it until 15-30 minutes before they’re supposed to be at that location (or don’t learn of a new this app pop up location until a while later).

Negative Service from Gyro Cafe

The lady preparing my gyro had taken the shell placed it down on the plastic that the carry out containers come in while she got the container out. I asked her to please get another one I did not want that one. She looked at me crazy then threw it to the side. While preparing the gyro I could feel the attitude and she didn’t ask what I wanted. Once she was done and told me my total I looked and backed up to check the menu on the wall, she gave me a very distasteful look and then held her cell phone up and see!!! I didn’t understand the purpose of her doing that BUT I did feel the attitude and WILL NOT PATRONIZE THIS ESTABLISHMENT EVERY AGAIN seeing as though my order doesn’t matter!!! I will also make sure to spread the word!!!

Good idea poorly executed

First let me say I really like the this app program. The vendors are usually local and the food is generally great. It’s incredibly convenient when 80% of my day is meetings and I just don’t have the availability to go out.

The only good thing I can say about Fooda is that it gives me a general idea of who’s coming this week. The menus are often out of date or changed on the day by the vendor. There’s no rating system so I can remember if I liked a vendor or not (even though this was a feature promised over a year ago). There’s a new reward system that rolled out with no instructions and even the vendors don’t know anything about. Ya’ll need to get it together!!

Hard to use

I received an email with instructions on installing Fooda . After installation I can’t seem to add my location. I received an email with a coupon but was never able to use it because the vendors didn’t know how to accept it. I recently received an email saying I can earn points using my app. Based upon the inability to get it to work I don’t have much confidence in being a part of the rewards program.

Unresponsive, doesn’t work

Can you guys finish QA on your app before you send out a push email asking for phone numbers? I’ve tried 3 separate times to submit my phone number to earn rewards. The first submission apparently didn’t work at all. The second, once it submitted I was asked to verify my number (with no way to do so). The third, after submission it said it would send me a text to verify. I never received a text. And the “resend now” button at the top of my profile doesn’t work. I swear every time they do a new marketing tactic I won’t even try, but every time I just hope they’ve figured out the issues on this really simple app. And every time it’s clear they haven’t.

Fan

This is a very nice app! The downside is you don’t get enough notification when a company cancels on this app, That’s not their fault! It’s fun to go to one location and to eat different foods from different companies and not drive across town to that location. That’s what I love! I just wish there was some kind of backup system where if a company did cancel then this app could have a replacement.

Doesn’t let me order food

My building recently started using this app for break times. I downloaded Fooda , created an account, entered my card info etc. All I can do is see menus. It won’t let me actually order food. I reached out to support/customer service and they were extremely unhelpful. What’s the purpose of having this service if I can’t order food and pay for it thru Fooda ? I’m not wasting 20 minutes of break to stand in a long line for food. And having an incompetent and unhelpful support team that can’t listen & just sends a prewritten response that doesn’t address the issue is beyond ridiculous.

Not enough choices Some vendors horrid

I paid $6 today for inedible guacamole that tasted very bitter, cold cheese and stale out of the bag chips. I threw it all away.
We need a rating system for the vendors so they don’t come back. Better food descriptions to explain what’s homemade and what allergens are in them. Some vendors don’t even know what ingredients are in their food.
Can we get more variety than BBQ and Mexican? How about Thai, Chinese, Mediterranean, and things like burgers, wings, soups, and more creative salads. It’s a great idea but the execution of the service and app are poor.

Fooda is great

I had never heard of this app. My experience with this app is 5 star. I am so glad they came to our office building. Our dining options were limited. This gives us choices and convenience. It has also given me a chance to try new restaurants. I just love it. I hope they keep it up. My favorite so far was Giordano’s Detroit. The pizza was great! Thanks for coming our way.

Like the app, but needs some added features

I wish there was a barcode to scan instead of giving your phone number to earn rewards. I also wish there was a way to rate the restaurant so the bad unpopular restaurants wouldn’t come back. Also where I am there is always a lot of the same type of restaurant within the same week, like three barbecue restaurants in the same week.

Sneeze Guard, Franchise Restaurants

Good morning, the food is decent and if possible it would be nice if more franchise restaurants could participate in the this app program. In addition, for sanitary purposes a taller, clear glass sneeze guard would be great. This way the customer would not be able to lean over the sneeze guard and point their finger directly over the food.

Lunch options not that great

I ate 5-6 times from this app vendors in the last couple of weeks and I was more often disappointed than not. The cost is about the same as what I pay outside. this app is a great idea but they need to better scouts who can discriminate between good and not so good options. Some of the options are so bad that we are wondering how they were even allowed into the network. Give users an option to rate the vendors and that way you could weed out unpopular restaurants or food trucks.

Unhealthy and expensive

Most of the restaurants selected by this app specialize in “heart-attack-on-a-plate” cuisine, such as barbecue and hot dogs. I think that this app is classifying Mexican as health food. Additionally, aside from salad, there are nearly no vegetarian options, such as vegetable based soups. Surely, I am not the only vegetarian in the company. As for the salad option, while priced as an entree, the actual size is that of a small side and the only vegetarian proteins are chickpeas, egg and cheese, the latter of which are hardly healthy on a daily basis. How about some black beans or tofu? And how about giving a reasonable sized product commensurate with the price?

Horrible app and no customer service

Fooda doesn’t tell us how to order - and neither does the website. Do you just show up at the pop up? So you need to order beforehand? I have no idea and there appears to be no way to order on Fooda . I called customer service and it just rung and rung. I emailed twice and no response. My initial feeling when they came to out building was that they were poor at marketing - they should have told us how it worked at that time - but now it appears like there’s poor execution and service.

Great app but needs some updates

Love Fooda but wish you could edit/adjust your pickup window before you place your order. Would also ask they lower the rewards criteria I’ve had to spend a lot of money to get a $2 coupon this seems kinda….in short, cheap.

Updated Review

Updated: Developer reached out to me to help. After a few emails, we figured out the issue was due to an incorrect location in the settings. Thankfully, I can now see the menus as they are updated. Looking forward to receiving the emails as well.

Minor inconveniences, but still very helpful

I was able to save some money on lunches, and certainly enjoy the convenience of on-site restaurants, but had some minor difficulties:
1: No in-app payment
2: Unable to register for frequent user discounts due to an error in registering my phone number

Still, nice to have Fooda and lovely to have the food.

Stale bread?

The turkey BLT was great once I removed the bread. I had to cut off the edges of the bread since it was way to hard and dry. Even then it was hard to eat. I ended up eating it on just the bottom piece of bread after removing the edges of the crust. Another person said hers was the same. I don’t normally have to remove the crust edges... I eat all of it. Napkin was really rough on my face, like sandpaper.

Fooda has made my life so easier!

I love this app. I'm not a lunch-packer, and I'm always so busy during the work day that I barely have time to go out and grab something to eat. Since they've been in my office building, it has made grabbing a bite to eat so much easier for me! They are also very communicative.
