Don’t bother

Downloaded and registered my name and email. Then tried to add my motorcycle and it wouldn’t let me. Only option was to contact customer support. I think it’s only a scam to get your email address.

Could use some improvements

I give credit to Pirelli, map tracking is pretty good, speed tracking is good, but I'm still figuring out whether or not the lean angle tracking is relatively accurate. I don't expect it to be perfect, it's a free app after all. I've noticed that even though I select 'Road' for tracking my route, DIABLO thinks I'm at a track. Whenever I finish a route and save it, DIABLO locks up. I have to shut down DIABLO and then restart it to look at the route. It's not bad for free but could use some improvements.

Could still use an update

I think DIABLO works well for basic information (lap times, lean angle), but could still use an update to incorporate a larger database of new bikes and tires from other manufacturers.

I think it would be really helpful if we could edit information for each session post-riding. For instance, I was able to try out new bikes at the track but forgot to change my bike selection (or it wasn't available) before riding.

Also, I had one session on the track where my laps were not counted (I had 0 laps for that session even though the map shows me going around the track.) Please fix this bug!

Note: My review is only based on use at the track. I have not used DIABLO during one way trips.

Pros: DIABLO does a good job of tracking gps data on the track and it's fun looking at the data afterward.

I really like how you can view the course map afterwards and see your speed and angle and various points during your laps.

Cons: The average speed is often inaccurate at the track since you sometimes have to wait to get on the track the the average time is calculated from the hitting of the start button. The delay time has been useful in decreasing this, but it would be nice if it would automatically calculate when you start on the track.

Also, it would be nice if we could share times and lap info with our friends without having to log in to Facebook.

Nice

It's a nice app, but only really useful as a curiosity. The gps accuracy is relatively poor. It gave me multiple top speeds above 180mph at the track on my 848 Evo. Trust me, my bike is awesome, but she ain't that fast! For that matter, neither is the track! I know both for fact. DIABLO does seem to track highway speeds with acceptable accuracy.
The lean angle is completely useless. Straight line braking and accelerating produces the highest lean indications and reorienting the phone or placing it in a different pocket makes no noticeable difference. Also, I've never logged a lean angle beyond 25 degrees with DIABLO, where my onboard video clearly shows 45+ degree leans for the same session.
In short, it's free, it's kinda neat, and you get a nice google map track of your ride. It's just not very 'real world' useful for data collection.

great concepts

DIABLO could be outstanding, but it has a lot of functionality issues. prime example is I just got done an 11.5 hour ride and it stopped logging 44 minutes into the ride, didn't log the mileage of the 44 minutes either. also couldn't share or compare either. also would suggest an overlay for the mapping like road ID's and topography. and maybe a "play" button the replays the mapped ride on the map while displaying speed and lean angle data. had some issues with it crashing as well while trying to navigate through DIABLO . also the "FAQ" section could answer more questions. basically it's a great app when it works and the only one I've found that does as much as it does, again, when it works

Good app when you can get on it.

I've had DIABLO for a year now and really like it, just one issue I'm having with it is that when I had to get a new phone it made me do my profile again and for some reason when I try to fill it out the "how far have you traveled in a year" part doesn't allow me to select anything and the thing just stays there at the bottom of the screen even when I select back. I haven't been able to use DIABLO for little over a month now because of it. Really wish it would get fixed.

Great App! (When it worked)

I used DIABLO to track my lap times at the track and it was fantastic! Now, after the latest update I’m forced to re-create a profile and DIABLO crashes whenever I get to the screen to choose a motorcycle and click the ‘make’ field. In addition, I can type info in the previous text fields, but the text is either transparent or the same color as the background. I can’t get DIABLO set up any more. I’m bummed about it since it was such a cool app.

Great when it works

Works great almost all the time. On one of my longer rides it didn’t save the ride when I ended it which was frustrating because I really wanted to see the stats for that one.

Pretty good but needs some upgrades

Overall DIABLO works as intended. However, it does have trouble connecting to Facebook. Can't seem to get it to work. Google+ would be another awesome connectivity.

Would be nice to have it tell you average corner speed or average straight away speeds.

All in all good app to see how you're doing on a road or track.

Needs Feedback Support

This is an amazing app with one minor issue, there's no forum for users feedback. Which is the reason I'm writing this review to request features..

1- Integrate a small map of user's ride in the middle of the speedometer of the share screen.

2- Allow user to zoom in/out and select start/end points of the ride before sharing. (So map doesn't lead directly to user's home)

3- Add a Playback option for the ride with varying selectable speeds (1x, 2x, etc.) that will playback the user's ride in the same fashion as dragging the slider to manual go through the ride.

4- Add animated visual representation of lean angle on the playback page that correlates to map/speed etc. (same one that shows max lean angle on the summary screen)

Better than most

The one thing DIABLO does great on is allow you to see your lean angle and speed for a specific corner. This is also where the frustration begins. The problem is on a longer ride the data becomes to condensed and makes it hard to examine the data. If they added a feature to zoom in on the graph it would fix this issue and be perfect.

Overall I think it’s awesome

I mean yeah it has a few bugs here and there but come on this is a free app that can be quite a useful tool Especially if you’re lucky enough to live near one of the amazing canyons that you can ride over and over again or a track that you can link up with DIABLO

Great but It has limits

Tracks well and let's you step thru the entire ride.

Only real problem is it does not track speed very well or it is limited to 156 mph. When modifying the number of teeth out n the cogs and changing the exhaust it is important to see how this changes performance on the track. Changes may allow me to reach speeds faster but limit my top speed. On short tracks this is not an issue but on long tracks it is. At these speeds I want DIABLO to track the speed and other aspects so I can concentrate on the track.

Making positive progress

I've had DIABLO for a while and it seems when the lean angle is accurate the GPS top speed is off, especially when cornering over 100 mph. I know this because I have a very accurate speedo healer on my bike and video of my speedometer up to and throughout the corner. Having said all that I can say this is the best app out there for what I want. Other apps require social media login or make claims that I've found to be a stretch (at least where I live). I have recommended DIABLO to other riders several times before this review and will continue to do so.

Got To Give Them Credit Where It’s Due

I Really Enjoy This Application , and I like the data feed back tremendously the only thing I wished it would have is some kind of rider tracking mode in the event of a Spill on the track or Road Collision , also it would be awesome to see development for some type of digital pod display since time angle and speed are tracked it would be awesome to see live read out of speed , lean angle , shift light reminder (where the phone would flash red ) , and a way to convert the KM/H to MPH , I know it may be a long shot but maybe developing an attachable device for the bike kind of how battery tender does for phone charging and such I think it would be a big hit , other then that as a rider I truest enjoy the application platform and the features it does have I really enjoy the lean angle and speed feature.

Really Enjoying the App!

It's simple to navigate. Right to the point. Unlike the other guys here I feel like the Lean angle is a little off. I'm more concentrated on the Lean Angle than the MPH. Thats the easy part of riding, anyone can go straight at high speeds. LoL. I don't expect DIABLO to be perfect, but I can say I'm really enjoying it even if the numbers are just a little off. It's better than most other apps! I wish they were to not be as bias when it came to tires. I do love my Michelin P3.

Really cool app

Really cool app. it's understandable that it doesn't do anything but Perelli tires. but all the other data that shows it really really need to see. I ride a cruiser and it's nice to see that my cruiser was shown in the model area and of course I don't have that much of a lean angle but it is kind of cool to see what kind of leaning to let have had. The top speed and G Force areas of DIABLO or also really really cool

Amazing App for riders

Not sure why it’s rated 2.6/5, but I love DIABLO. I use it to track my rides and compare states with my fellow riders. They need to have an auto start when DIABLO /GPS Seneca you moving. I keep opening it and not remove ring to start it once I’m already on the road. Love it and will refer it to other riders in my area.

Excellent Motorcycle App

I like using DIABLO for my pleasure rides on my 2017 Aprilia Tuono motorcycle. It is interesting to go over the trip, and look at the data I recorded using DIABLO . I can't speak to accuracies in in accuracies but it works quite well for me.

Loving this app!

I really like DIABLO especially since they added mph to it! Now if we could email the rides or text them to people it would make it that much better. Right now the only way to share is on Facebook and really I don't want everyone to see that I am doing 130+ on the country roads. Some people get upset over that, lol!
