Loved the old format, hate the new. Also; I guess this game was popular and had many followers. Consequently the developers got greedier and greedier. We all know that they want, need, advertisement revenue. Fair enough. There were plenty of adverts with a tolerable amount of time to watch the adverts. It seems that the time the adverts are now shown has recently expanded to at least twice that of the original exposure. The game is still good but the time devoted to advertisements now feels too intrusive.
I have played FreeCell for a long while, but the recent generation of ads will cause me to drop it. They change view to landscape, count down from a full 30 seconds, and make the ad cancellation click difficult to do. I play free games and will tolerate a certain amount of ads, but there is a limit. It is now exceeded.
My rate for the game is 4 stars, but the experience has declined to one star.
I’ve been playing this game for years, mainly because of the style of the cards - more realistic looking than many other “FreeCell” games out there. Please bring back the old style or offer an option to choose the previous viewer friendly style. I’ll be playing this one a lot less now☹️ if this can’t be done - but of course we all know it can be done if you want to! Thanks
I always liked this Freecell app. My favorite feature is the ability to specify the the deal number - most apps don’t allow you to do that.
However, this latest version made some really annoying changes that hurt the game:
- you can’t tell which cells are foundations and which are free cells. Annoying, but not a killer
- I frequently find that when I grab a card from a free cell, that I pull down the command center instead - or both?!?
- on the positive side, the annoying ads that started a while ago, mostly don’t seem to be as annoying as before. This is because you can close most of them almost immediately.
Please go back to the previous version!
I play FreeCellSolitaireCardGame every day! Because it is difficult and challenging! There is no other app like this! I wish they would make a more difficult one! I would buy it immediately! The very best out there!!
I just updated to the latest version. I much prefer the face of the older version, but can not find a way to revert back to the old card fasces.
This used to be one of my favorite apps. After the latest update it is nearly unplayable. So, disappointed. Change it back to readable cards.
I enjoy playing very much! I DON'T like the pop up ads between each game. I like to watch the game start and the dealing! I do not like the new version. Can I change back. I have plaid for 15 years.
It would be nice to be able to back up step by step—even to beginning if necessary but not HAVE to start over! It’s very nice, though, to NOT have to deal with ads!!
The new update is terrible. The top line all runs together. The cards are too fat. Guess it was changed to accommodate the new iPhone. What about those that play on an iPad? Sharo
One day I tapped the button to update all the apps on my phone and found that FreeCell looks completely different. The cards are smaller and closer to a square than a rectangle, with a stubby looking font, which is harder to read in a split second. I hit the tools icon, hoping to find options to change the appearance, but found I could only change the background. I want my old game back.
Card face was recently changed from classical to ugly. What a shame! I suggest you make a card face selection option. Otherwise, an excellent implementation of this game.
This is the best app I have ever played. There are few , if any, easy wins. I had FreeCellSolitaireCardGame on my old iPad and could play endlessly without any deterrent. Now that Ihave a new iPad, I must wait 5 forever seconds to restart. Today, I couldn’t get past an Ad for another game. If you want to keep me, charge me or lose me.
Good interface. Makes it easy to waste time. Other versions are less polished or are visually distracting.
Still using 4 years later. Still as good as it gets for FreeCell
I paid for this game and for the first couple of years it worked fine. But then they started putting ads in the middle of my game. Since I paid for it they have no right to put ads in there. Thieves ripping me off.
Have loved this game forever, it is my go to no matter where I am. However imagine my surprise this morning when I now get at least 30 seconds of stupid, in wanted commercials! Please fix this! Or I’ll just stop playing to avoid that aggravation.
This latest update is horrible. Who thought up this stupid cards, save it for the kiddie version. Give me my real cards back, maintain the correct aspect ratio, this makes me not want to play. At least give us the choice to select the card type, oh, and make it easy to do.
Come on!
This free cell app has all the features I want: I can select a specific game, or play a random game, I like the look of it, it can automatically finish a game when all remaining moves play directly to the upper right four spaces, and so forth. I don't notice the advertisements.
Plays well. Smooth. This is still true and I am pleased to see the clock now remains at the top of the screen I hate the look of the cards now. Wish there was a wat to go back to the old graphics.
Best game around. It’s like solitaire but I like my 4 extra spaces. But only use for short time -it’ll limit your ability to move stacks ( if your free cell is clogged!!)
