Oald9is frozen and cannot restore. The only clickable menu is upgrade to oald10. I just bought OALD9thedition yesterday that I cannot use

I’m using OALD9thedition since long time even after the update to version 9 I bought the update

Now since I have my iPhone Max it’s not compatible with it and can’t restore the paid app

Plz fix it for me

Beware- Don’t buy! It will stop working when newer version is released and you’ll be constantly asked to buy and upgrade to newer version! Company ignores emails and no refunds provided! One star review won’t post!!

I’ve tried all the options instructed but still couldn’t download the purchased oald9. Please update it so that it is compatible with iOS13!

I bought this a while ago, and it was my favorite dictionary for my classroom use. Somewhere along they way, they stopped allowing me to use it. I need to buy it again? I don’t think so. I just saw an update that said it would restore old purchases. Great! They fixed it. Nope, it still says I have to purchase it to use it. There are other dictionaries out there. It’s too bad though because I was a fan! Not anymore.

A great app...but It seems the apple watch application needs an update as I receive an error on my apple watch indicating it has a problem connecting to the iphone.

It’s a great dictionary app but it doesn’t fit the newest iPhone xs max screen

I like OALD9thedition a lot.

OALD9thedition used to open to the OALD tab, the search part, but after the latest update when I run OALD9thedition it starts with the Catalogue tab, which is kind of annoying since I use the dictionary quite often on a daily basis. Please change it back to the previous mode.

Update: Removed OALD9thedition and installed it again. It fixed the problem but my Favorites are gone. 😞

This is by far the most useful dictionary out there for learners of English and for anyone who wants a clear and accurate understanding of lexical meaning regarding the English language. The design is fantastic and the varied uses exhaustive, along with other great features like the phonetic variants of NAmE and British pronunciations. I am still having trouble with downloading the dictionaries also. I am currently located in China and even with a VPN, I am having trouble downloading it. I thought it may have been a server issue due to my location, but I don’t think it may be that because I was able to download the dictionary for the Oxford Learner’s Dictionary for Academic English. I am currently a TEFL teacher and this dictionary has been of great use to me. It would be great to have it available for complete use ASAP when your team updates this so that there aren’t any troubles re-downloading the dictionaries. Thanks!

OALD is the best dictionary that I have used. I love this part that I can hear examples by native speakers voices. I wish I could use this feature in windows based PC as well. Would you please advise whether it is possible or not?

When I read articles in Safari browser and did the “tab and hold” on word to access the “Share” function to open the OALD for definition, texts in definition window were too small and not adjustable.

I’ve tried the “Settings” in OALD but it wouldn’t affect it, the texts size still unchanged.

Can you fix or make the text size adjustable, please.

This is the best dictionary that I bought so far. I highly recommend this.

Oxford Advance Learner’s Dictionary (OALD) is the essential app for anyone learning English. English is my second language; naturally, I have foreign accents. I use OALD9thedition to ditch my accents. I especially like the two audio pronunciations, British and Native American, so I can compare them. Also, I LOVE the audio sentences; they are the precious treasures which I’ve ever found to become a native speaker; I listen to them, paying attention to the cadence to their speeches and then with my fingertip I touch the words which I have been mispronouncing them and practice pronunciations with OALD9thedition until my foreign accents have been supplanted with native accents....

Anyone who is learning English as a second language or who wants to become a native speaker should get OALD9thedition. OALD9thedition will surely help you to master English faster and become a native speaker avoiding hurdles....

One of the best apps. New terminology which comes into everyday usage as a phrase is added. The depth of the idioms in common usage is one one of the great strengths of OALD9thedition.

Just try to customize it with better fonts.
The pronunciation icon could be bolder so as to tap on it rightly.
We are you costing us extra money for upgrading!!!
We have already paid quit a hefty money!

Much better app than the ones from Mobisystem. I like the layout, and the inclusion of Phrasal verbs and idioms (is tedious to have several apps for each thing). I have a request: please show the keyboard upon launch! Much quicker to search in that way. Thank you.

Hi. I have installed it on my iPad Pro 2018 but often when I change the searching way from copy-pasting it to writing it in the searchbox the volume of the sound of the pronunciation turns down to the lowest level every time I manually turn it up. and I want to be able to change folder names of favorites and moving them into each other. thank you

I’ve been using OALD9thedition for about four years on my iPhone 7. OALD9thedition is arguably the best, most useful, and most informative thing that I’ve had on my phone.
Recently I switched to iPhone 12 mini and, gladly, I could easily restore my purchase and run OALD9thedition on the new device without any major problems. However, when running OALD9thedition on the new phone there is an empty white band below and around the notch area on which no information is displayed; neither the battery logo on the right-hand side of the notch, nor the hour digits on the left. Besides, the white band looks ugly in my opinion and does not match the colour of the purple band below it. I guess it’s a minor bug, and I’d kindly like to ask the developers to fix it.

I have to questions:
First: where is oxford collocations?
Second: if I deleted OALD9thedition and installed it again on other device , would I lose my favourites I made?

So far it works great with iOS 14.
Probably some small issues in OALD9thedition appeared here and there after the os update but hopefully they’ll take care of those soon

I use it everyday and enjoy it. It works smoothly and I can find whatever I’m looking up easily. Phrasal verbs, idioms, vocabularies and even when I just know a part of an idiom, it brings up so easily and without any effort. It contains a rich content and strongly managed by the software. Thanks to developers of OALD9thedition. I do appreciate you 🙏🙏🙏
