The limitation to what you can do is absolutely ridiculous. You can’t even change the alarm sound or add snooze without paying. The design looks gloomy and sad. The alarm doesn’t even work for me. I put 9 PM and it’s just saying “take ur pill” at 10 am?? It doesn’t let me change the time zone either so i don’t know what’s wrong. There isn’t even a sound when i get my notification when supposidly it’s supposed to make a basic noise. terrible. Use your alarm built in your phone instead don’t waste your time with this.

myPill may be useful-ish, my actual main reason for deleting myPill is while reading reviews the developers response to someone questioning whether it was worth $14 premium charge was “well our developers need to eat!” And then proceeded to explain why all free apps are crap etc, who runs your PR? Seems like you need to hire a professional for your communications. I don’t want to support developers who feel the need to be so condescending to those who give a negative review.
myPill itself...isn’t bad, can be useful to some for sure. I will download and pay for an app where the developers have better communication skills to handle criticism.

I really liked myPill for like 2 days until I opened up my email to see I somehow purchased a “Premium Membership” upgrade. I never even KNEW there was a premium membership until I was charged for it. There was NO checkout screen, password/fingerprint purchase confirmation, NOTHING indicating somehow I was about to buy an upgrade.
After being charged, I went into myPill description and the details state the membership is OPTIONAL. Nothing about a free trial, and certainly nothing informing me about being forced to buy a membership. Apps in myPill Store tend to get away with a lot of crap, but this is downright thievery. And according to some other previous user reviews, I’m not the only one who’s had this issue either. Stay away from myPill! Find another one of the many birth control calendar apps out there.

This was my last time trying myPill. The reminder will go off and I’ll mark a pill as “taken” then 5 min later the alarm goes off AGAIN and I open myPill and it shows the pill was taken but the reminder will keep going off… why? Then the next day I’ll go in and it’ll show I missed 1-3 days of pills. I didn’t… Every pill has been taken and logged on time. I’ve downloaded and used myPill multiple times over the years, I’ve updated it, I’ve deleted and reinstalled myPill and it’s a consistent issue. When I eventually do miss a pill I can’t rely on myPill to track it to use back up methods because myPill sure isn’t reliable. I’m better off setting an alarm on my phone and using google calendar to document I missed a pill than myPill. This has been a 2+ year issue.

I don’t normally write reviews, but I’m writing this in hopes they will fix the bugs and glitches in myPill. It was great! It reminded me everyday to take my pill. It made taking the pill so easy. It kept track of everything for me, I didn’t even have to think about it. That was until myPill got glitchy, it continues to remind me to take my pill, even though I already “punched in” that it was taken. Which gets really annoying. Also, the screen on myPill glitches out so I can’t see the settings anymore, which means I can’t change anything if I need to. I really enjoyed myPill for about 1 month until it stopped working. I had to delete it. Which is a shame because I payed for the premium version.

myPill will sneakily try to get you to do their subscription. It will pop up Apple Pay and without a secondary prompt or a cancel action allow you to be charged. Will never use again.
Response to Developer : If this was true I wouldn’t of had to call Apple support for getting charged for something I never ordered and didn’t even know what was selected and it went through the Apple Pay because my finger was partially on the home button when your app selected a plan unprompted. I agree with the other user on here the developer just wants you to spend more money on premium content every year and makes myPill terrible with out it. Look somewhere else.

myPill has so many wonderful things and it’s really the only great app of its kind in the store. I understand the Dev’s need for premium, I really do but having my pill pack reset from 84 to 21 when I close myPill is extremely inconvenient. Hell, I’m fine without the placebo pill notifications if myPill will just let me keep the 84 pill counter. If you are on extended cycle birth control like me, either try to find a new app (if you can, the others hate extended cycle too) or be prepared to constantly change that every day....

If it weren't for myPill, I'd never remember to take my pill. I also love how you can make the reminder discrete if wanted, and the calendar options for ways you're feeling, that's helpful to me so I can see if I've been on time monthly !
Update: it’s been about six months at least, probably longer since I first reviewed. Recently, I got a new phone. So I had to redownload myPill of course. The newest version limits almost everything to premium usage. There are very few features left for non-paying users. I use myPill not only for birth control reminders, but I also take my other daily medications at the same time, it’s just easier that way. But when I’m on my break week, I’m no longer allowed to receive reminders for the entire week. It doesn’t sound like that big of a deal but to me, it is. Also, unless you are premium, you can’t choose how often the reminder goes off if you haven’t hit “pill taken” so it’s automatically set at 20 mins. A lower one time charge would be cool. But monthly is reaching. And personally, myPill isn’t worth the $14 forever premium charge either. Just something to consider for new users !

It started off pretty cool because it customized to my pack, but the reminders get a little annoying and sometimes don’t shut off after I let it know that I’ve taken my pill. It also sends me multiple reminders to take my placebo which I don’t ever need. Recently, myPill would remind me once to take my pill and never sent more reminders as I go on with my day, resulting in almost forgetting to take my pill a couple times. Seems like there need to be more improvements. Going back to my old app.

I’ve been a long time user of this app, but I have decided to uninstall this today. It’s been telling me that I’ve missed my pill and that I am unprotected, even though I’ve been marking it as “pill taken” on time. The reminder also keeps on popping up/ringing even after I’ve marked it as taken sometimes. It just did it again as I was typing this review!
I thought that it will just clear itself up after a few updates but I don’t think that’s coming up anytime soon. Too much bug and not it’s just not worth it anymore.

I really loved myPill when I first started using it. I even signed up for the monthly subscription cause it was super cheap and why not!! However about a year later I started experiencing issues with myPill . I would go on myPill and it would tell me to purchase the premium membership almost every time. Then other times it would work as normal, considering the fact I literally had a monthly subscription that would automatically be automatically renewed every month… I kept experiencing the same issue over and over except this time recently myPill would not go back to normal and I was continually being told to purchase a premium membership. Come to find out the reason being was they raised their prices and the price that was being renewed automatically in my Apple subscriptions were less than what was supposed to be paid. After realizing this I renewed my subscription and paid $15 total for a forever membership almost a week ago. After doing this I thought everything would be fine but boy was I wrong. Went back on myPill today and once again it’s telling me my subscription is expired and I need to renew AFTER JUST PAYING $15 FOR THE FOREVER MEMBERSHIP!! This is beyond me and pretty annoying to say the least. I contacted support about this so let’s see how that goes at this point because to be honest I’m on the verge of just getting my money back and using a different app🤷🏼♀️

I’ve been using myPill for awhile now. I don’t ever write reviews so I really hope the developers read this. I like the apps dynamic and everything however, when I miss a pill and I double up the next day I would like to see that, and how it affects my protection, instead of it being counted as a missed pill, leaving it as unprotected when indeed I did take the pill but I just took it the next day at the same time. I would love if myPill can do something to reflect that such as missed pill, doubled up, and late and what’s the protection status in regards to that. Other than that I have no problems with myPill .

I wish I could rate myPill with 5 stars, as it is really helpful in remembering my pill and tracking time taken...BUT.... every time I open and close myPill it resets my settings for active days and placebo days. I reached out to tech support which was no help... their solution was that I needed to pay for it to stop resetting 🤷🏽♀️😒... so that was disappointing. The developers should really fix this issue, as there are multiple kinds of birth controls out there that have different day requirements (I’m on minipill). Overall great app but support wasn’t interested in help solve my issue.

I’ve been using myPill for the past 4 years. It’s great a for remind you when to take your pill but when I go and log in my symptoms on the calendar and make a note when my period started and ended, somehow every time after two weeks all the data erases. Idk if this is a glitch but it would be nice if you guys can fix it so I can keep track of my symptoms and my period. Thank you!

myPill is awesome. I’m on the pill so I love how it has a pill pack to show when you’ve taken one or missed like the real life thing! It’s super cute and easy to use. However, the reason I couldn’t give it a five is because the feature to change my pill pack to a 28 day one is a feature I have to pay for. I don’t think that should be the case. Reason being, because it’s another form of taking the BC and that shouldn’t be restricted. :( I just started using myPill , so it’s coming up on the week where I would take the placebo pill, so I’m hoping I can just jump to the next pack. Let’s see how that goes :)

I’ve used myPill for about 6 years and it’s the best one for period tracking and pill reminders. I’ve tried others because I liked the feature that it would give me other more in depth insights into my period and cycle, but this by far always had the best pill tracking so I could 100% sure I didn’t miss one. I hope it’s keeps updating!

I’ve been using myPill since I started my birth control pill and it’s been wonderful. It’s simple enough for me track things like my period easily. I love the notifications, they can be tailored to your preferences like what the text says and the sound. I also had an issue when I upgraded to iPhone 11 from 8 in how myPill was laid out. I contacted support and the issue was fixed promptly with an update. The support staff is very attentive and kind.

I'm really picky about reminder apps and this one was easy to navigate through, easy on the eye, and, most specially, it doesn't fail to notify me about the pill when the time comes.
Most recently, they added an update that shows the leaflet of the pill I'm currently taking.
I can keep track of my mood and symptoms and interact with the community. Loved it, loved it, loved it.

I love myPill! I started taking birth control towards the middle of 2017 and my doctor recommended me myPill . It has helped me remember to take my pill! It is also a nice forum where you can meet other girls who might be going through similar situations as you! I would 10/10 recommend myPill if you have just started taking the pill or even have been on it for years!

The UI needs a little fixing with Dark mode, I can’t read the settings really well since dark mode messes with the font. Also the navigation menus on the bottom are blocking the other options that are under the pill calendar. Other than that, everything works great.

I loved myPill. This was one of the only easy to use apps for someone on birth control. I recently switched over to an IUD and I loved that myPill was also compatible with that. Although, out of no where it started limiting my options, changed the date of when I need it replaced and lost all of my data. I have tried to reinstall with my backed up data, it doesn’t work. I am no longer able to choose the brand of IUD I have and it no longer gives me the information I need. I would no longer recommend myPill and am deleting it asap.

myPill is really useful for reminders. However, I hate that if you forget to log your pill for a few days, myPill stops sending reminders.
I always forget to log my placebo pills, and by the time the week is over myPill has stopped giving me reminders. I’ve missed pills a few times because of that.
myPill should continue giving me reminders regardless of how often I use it. I should be the one that decides if I want to stop getting reminders, myPill should not decide that for me.

I enjoy myPill. It helps keep track of all the different types of birth control and it will let you place how you’re feeling that day, your activities, etc. the only reason I didn’t give it a 5 star is because it doesn’t send you notifications telling you to get your shot or take your pill so you have to remember to go into myPill and check your schedule.
