I purchased this, but it doesn't work. Always says the server is having problems when I try to load it. I click on purchase, it then tells me I already purchased it and click "ok" to download again. At his point it says the server is having problems. Should I ask for my money back?

In good faith I purchased a FREE app that gives such limited-in-size-and-depth material. To make up for that I purchased the in-App Pangaea Passport for $9.99 to access all the lessons but realized they get you to keep buying over and over. Sleazeful developers and Apple should be ashamed! Every time I try to access additional lessons in the beginner, intermediate, or advanced levels I keep getting a window message telling me I have to purchase the Pangaea Passport. What for? It doesn't work
all. A real waste! What does one do to get his/her money back?
A letter to the state attorney general and the commissioner of state consumer affairs might do the trick or, at least, make me feel better. If you ask me "Wie Geht's?" My answer is "Nicht sehr gut!"

I agree with the other author- LearnGerman is a Ripp-off,it is from WILLIAMS software,(not a German company), and all they do is try to soak you for more money.
LearnGerman is 66 megabytes,yet does nothing.
I actually only bought the license because I was being bullied by APPLE (a Chinese company), because if your payment fails,they lock up LearnGerman store until you hand over the money.
Hey Apple,remember when I paid you for "expedited shipping"? You forgot to add that the product was being sent from Shenzen,China-which is your REAl headquarters.
Sick of being bullied by Billionaire Corporations (Walmart,Apple,Microsoft).

This program has terrible support. It costs $10 for the passport, which isn't much, but then you realize the low quality of the following lessons. Things like four options for the imperative tense where two possible answers are hyphens, but only one is correct.

Really? As a language teacher, I'm insulted. What a lack of attention to detail.

Fix your program, or don't charge for it.

I asked for help from support twice. No answer. I'm appalled. You charge a price tag and then don't answer customer questions? Not cool.

Get it together guys.

iPod users & travelers take note: Upgrade is based on log-in state and server authentication, so user must be perpetually logged in or lose access to paid upgrade content—more like leased content than purchased.

If LearnGerman cannot connect with the server, then the paid content becomes inaccessable—i.e. in *Airplane Mode* or outside of cell tower range, such as when *traveling*.

Generally, the application does what it claims - providing pronunciations for common German words and phrases. Overall, the user interface is graphically well presented. But for such an uncomplicated application there are a surprising number of programming mistakes. Under Zahlen (Numbers) for instance, dreihundert (300) is given a pronunciation of zweihundert (200) and vierhundert (400) is given a pronunciation of dreihundert (300). Under 'Die Kleidung' (clothes) the term 'anzienhen' is incorrectly pronounced as 'abziehen'. Words are also occasionally misspelled. Finally, the application has crashed several times.

In the grammar exercises, it is impossible to distinguish between "sie", as in she and "sie" as in they. Also capital S "Sie" many of the verb tenses are incorrect. I am a fairly novice learner, but I know these errors are in LearnGerman. so I wouldn't trust it that much. I found this out after I spent $10 for the passport. I suggest Babbel as an alternative far superior. It costs more, but it's worth it.

I love LearnGerman, but it really needs bug fixes. It will make it better. Like the little sign that pops up saying, NO ACCESS. It drives me crazy! And a few other things. But in all this is a really cool app!!!!!

My family is of German descent and I've always wanted to learn this language. I found LearnGerman to be extremely helpful in enriching my culture background. Pronunciation is spot-on and LearnGerman provides many ways to remember the information. I recommend LearnGerman to anyone. It's definitely worth it.

I'm currently learning German and I look a 3 month break but when I came back to looking at the beginning German words I remembered how to say it all of it. This is a great learning tool. I strongly suggest it.

LearnGerman will have you learning German in no time. Only problem is that I bought the Pangea passport in LearnGerman and can't use it on the Italian app even though I've synced.. Overall a great app though!

Very good! In no time at all I was counting in German, naming colors and animals... Awesome app! Great of you are taking German in a class or just want to learn. If you want to learn German, this is LearnGerman for you! Well worth the $5, every penny is well spent.

I've always had a fascination with all things German. I've just now downloaded LearnGerman to my iPad & I love it! I've tried some of the other apps on German & really wasn't all that impressed....definitely not the case here! I would highly recommend LearnGerman to anyone who has a desire to learn a foreign language. I have prior knowledge of German so I love the fact that it offers different levels based upon your working knowledge of the language.
Having said this, I do have an issue with the practice section. When conjugating verbs, the program fails to differentiate between formal Sie & sie as in she or they.

I spoke a little bit of German several years ago and lost my knowledge due to lack of use. LearnGerman has not only helped me to regain my German knowledge, but to surpass it! It is a great app for learning the language and it includes everything you need to know. The full app is available with an in-app purchase of $10. It sounds like alot, but it is totally worth it. I highly recommend LearnGerman for learning German. Fünf Sterne! (Five stars!)

LearnGerman is the BEST! I never knew languages could be so easy to learn until I saw LearnGerman. It's like they force info into your brain and you won't forget anything you Learned, even if the last time you used LearnGerman was a long time ago!!

This developer has a great format. The way they categorize everything is superb, and you'll not find the explanations of the language building blocks such as 'accusative prepositions', anywhere else. Also, the phrases and words are recorded as one

I find LearnGerman very useful and it's not not that hard to use it might have a have a few bugs but that's ok ive already been learning the basics and a little bit harder stuff but LearnGerman helps me stay on track and has anyone noticed German is very similar to English like blut which means blood

I think it's a great app. It has phrases, quizzes, audio, and games you can play to practice. If ppl need more than that, then they should just get a teacher instead of using an app as a shortcut to learn. Learning is just based off of repetition. The more you practice, the easier the memory will become. Overall, I'll say again, it's a great app. Two thumbs up👍👍
