Action News Jax Reviews

ActionNewsJax is actually terrible. Aside from not being able to disable the sports notifications, the sequence of news is awful. When trying to find news that’s not considered a “top story,” it’s nearly impossible. For example, when news broke about a missing child, the entire Top Stories page was full of repeat articles and information with no real updates and there was no way to pull the news about other important things happening in the area simultaneously (shootings, accidents, school lockdowns). I love watching Actions News Jax on TV, but this news app is a poor attempt at keeping the public up to date on local news. It would be nice if a search bar were integrated into ActionNewsJax . Additionally, grammatical errors and typos are extremely common in their articles. The design of ActionNewsJax is also very choppy. Major updating is needed.

I hope I get these tickets however it was my Mom whom wanted me to submit it for her she’s not a text person and this her favorite place she told me when she see thisCommercial on 47Station it warms her heart that life is returning back so she can go to her favorite theme park so if I don’t get the tickets look out we’re coming anyway and we love you 47 News this would be a gift for her 80 birthday

I turned on Apple TV this morning and was surprised to see the difference with the action news Jax app. Way easier on the eyes. The options on the screen are easier to navigate and it just looks more clean. I like being able to watch the news while scanning through any news stories that I may want to get to, now. Great job, guys!

Too much biased reporting….focus on crime…..
Why as a news team are you not hammering on doubling gas tax?
You know they are getting infrastructure money from the government…..why are you not hitting the city council and the mayor about this? To many Jacksonville citizens are already hurting badly with inflation. Are you FOR the people?
You should be doing stories on trash all over Jacksonville streets?
All focus from media and elected officials is only about making downtown pretty, but the ugly will still be visible.

Action News Jax is my “go to” news channel now! I find them to be accurate, factual and entertaining. I like the way Action NewsJax presents the news. Their news is animated and interesting. I like the news personalities as they mesh together quite well. They bring professionalism and ethics in their news coverage. I’m glad I switched and look forward to the 5 o’clock
News!

The only problem is when they give wrong information and you contact the station to correct them the get an attitude... some stuff they report is not correct.. let’s not talk about the pronunciation of words oh boy.. Also giving the correct locations.. they need a history lesson…

I really loved using ActionNewsJax but for the past few weeks or more it no longer allows me to update it, so I reluctantly deleted it. I may try again in a month or so and hopefully by then it may work for me again. 😔

I’m sick of the biased reporting that I’ve been getting out a CBS channel 47. Between Gayle King in the morning and Nora O’Donald in the evening all they need is a gas can in a match because all they are is fire starters. You don’t know if I’m black or if I’m white but I am just sick to death of your station and so are a lot of my friends here in Saint Augustine. It would be nice if you didn’t make it so obvious how left you all are. I’m not the only one that’s noticing

When I get a news alert on my iPhone or iPad Air when I hit the notification it takes me to the home page not the news story that I was just notified. I’ve reloaded ActionNewsJax , powered off my devices and verified that my IOS is correct. There is a bug in ActionNewsJax and it needs to be fixed.

No better news channel in our area! Current, fresh information and genuinely interested and determined in getting answers for the viewers! Thanks for all you do!

I can’t stand ActionNewsJax. I prefer it for my local news but the alerts never redirect to the actual story on ActionNewsJax . And then you spend forever searching for the story to match the very important alert until you forget what you were even looking for. Please update ActionNewsJax. Check out some other new outlets and see what they’re doing. Thank you.

I’d like to why the Government is helping all the companys get there money they need but the people Out of work no one can help they also need to Pay there car payment House rent light bill and all the other bills they can’t even get there unemployment help , help , help

All types of issues with ActionNewsJax. Your competitors app is up to date, routinely updated, and works much better. When I click on a notification, then it should send me to that link in ActionNewsJax , not a safari link that attempts to play the live feed.

Jax News said app provides crime alerts in your area. It does not. App kept closing while I tried to choose settings. The current temperature is in the 60s. App show 17 degrees. Disappointing.

Only news app I use for Jax, but it's one flaw is that when switching to another app and back, it completely reloads to the home page. Leaving ActionNewsJax , mid-article to replay to a text or email or answer a call results in the whole thing refreshing. Hope you saved your place.

Biased Reporting....only tell one side of every story they cover.....
For the most part....They typically find fault with our Police Officers rather than the criminal who breaks the law. They report one found murdered but do not mention they were also involved in in a crime at the time of the murder. Tell the WHOLE story!

App does not appear to work on iPhoneX. At first it would just give a blank screen. So I removed/deleted app and reinstalled. Now ActionNewsJax gives a failure to launch error message.

Totally clumsy convoluted application. Tried to get news during trying times and couldn't get past advertisements.

They should be glad someone views ActionNewsJax , yet full blown ads overtake live tv constantly

Update 2/18 improving but still not near as good as the old layout. Who really cares about the national feed? We get that from the much better national apps. More local content front and center! Why arent the restaurant reports compiled in their own section on the video tab???

OLD It had a much nicer graphical polish and it had the restaurant report videos which was great because that's local reporting. Regurgitating the national news feed that you already get from much better national news apps is just a waste of time.

ActionNewsJax for the station used to be quite fine but has become a horrible mess which crashes on every new item selection. The situation is compounded with absolutely no advisories about the problems or response in any kind from ActionNewsJax staff. I have written them through various of their station channels and no one has bothered to even acknowledge one of my messages. Everyone working on ActionNewsJax should be led to an exit door. With the failures of communication regarding ActionNewsJax , the management staff should also be terminated. Complete and total app and communication failure.

Loved ActionNewsJax for local news. Then installed the latest update that "fixed" some issues. Well it seems the fix was to add CONSTANT advertisements that block part of what is already a small screen. You can't get rid of them and they are placed so that when you try to scroll the screen you frequently hit the ad and open a full page ad instead. I'm done with this one. Deleting now.

The last update had different stories in different categories, but now they have old stories and in the US and world category they have stories on the attacks in Paris. A MONTH AFTER THE ATTACKS!!!!!!

...to update to the current version. Reviews are terrible. Please read and fix crashing issues, etc. I use ActionNewsJax often but was looking forward to some minor improvements. Update or revert to previous version. I'm giving you 3 stars which is a giant leap above the other ratings you've received. I will revise the rating with the next update.

ActionNewsJax is not afraid to put news pertaining to COJ Employees "important/touchy" in their breaking news. No other app in Jacksonville will bring you this...and I have all the apps!!! So if you are looking for the truth this us ActionNewsJax to get
