Tureng Dictionary Reviews

I use this dictionary for looking up Turkish words in English. Since there’s often not a simple one-to-one correspondence, I like how it shows all the possible translations. For many words it also includes a link to a video/audio sample so you can hear it in a context. The interface is simple but includes auto-suggestion, back-button and history which make it surprisingly effective for looking up words and phrases on the go. One thing I’d like to see is daily/periodic suggestions, which the website actually does quite nicely! Ads are always annoying so I went ahead and paid for it which works great for me because I use it multiple times a day.

The less than 5 star reviews should really be ignored for practical reasons. Would you rather watch an ad or pay money to use the application? The less than 5 stars are people who do not know what they are doing or don’t plan ahead for the application. You can email the company and ask them to fix their system if it doesn’t work the way you like it. I love it, I use it all of the time TurengDictionary. Would highly recommend.

Lately, the ads have been popping up too often and they last so long! This is a good translation app but the ads are frustrating in case of urgent need

This is a great resource but having an add pop up when I am in the middle of my work is very annoying. I would gladly pay a few dollars to avoid disruptive ads.

I have used Tureng for years and loved it but the ads have become so distracting. i switched apps but Tureng is more user friendly. Please considered making a paid version with no ads I will happily buy it.

First time I comment for an app. Application doesn’t work any more since more than one week and it’s not fixed at all!

people use this dictionary for school or immediate messages/emails and nobody has time for ads... this is an essential app and i'm so tired of this apps. i can not even explain the anger i have any time i use TurengDictionary. solve this problem. people have been saying this for years and you literally do not care. so disgusting.

TurengDictionary doesnt open anymore, it crashes immedieately, please fix it.

Love TurengDictionary. Very helpful for looking up words and common phrases. I especially like that it lists definitions by common usage, trade terms, etc.

One complaint is the recent addition of pop-up ads. Didn't have them in the old version. It is VERY annoying to have an add take over the whole screen when I'm in the process of looking up a word.

TurengDictionary's icon seems low resolution and awful. Please upgrade it to a brand new shiny one.

Practically, it's classical Tureng. Well done.

There are some tech issues happening such as long delays when using the search engine. Voice feature should be used as it not available in the meantime.

Launches fast and gets the result. The pronunciation part not working do iOS 5.

It is a good app and need to be developed because some couldn't be found and adding the translation feature would be a very good bonus

Banner ads are acceptable to some extent but full screen video ads render this great dictionary almost useless. Release a paid version or one time in-app purchase to remove ads and save us already!

Using TurengDictionary for many a long time however it hasn't been developed up to now. Continously improvements are supposed to be needed at intervals. Thanks!

TurengDictionary shows full-screen ads that are impossible to pass without clicking on them. A definite no-no.
