They took my payment and gave me an error that said “Payment successful but Booking Failed.” Then refunded the money to BMS cash. It was a huge payment, I had clubbed it with bank discounts, so they refunded what I paid in BMS cash. Then when I tried to do the booking and use BMS cash, I had to pay MORE than my initial price because surprise surprise, BMS cash can’t be clubbed with any discounts and this is the way they scam people out of their money. Check their reviews, a lot of people have faced this issue. They usually do this to people after 2-5 bookings but no one is safe. Do not trust the positive reviews, it WILL happen to you too.

Get a UI-UX designer and understand how people browse for movies. The location feature doesn’t show the precise area. There is no ‘Search’ button on the map. The map stupidly shows just the theaters which fall under the nearest city auto-selected. Such a pain to use BookMyShowMoviesEvents on iOS. I’ll prefer walking to the theater and booking my tickets than using this level of poor online service.

Why in any world would I pick the type of movie screen BEFORE I choose the location I want to watch a movie at!?!? In a city that takes an hour to go 1 km, why wouldn’t location be the first choice after choosing language and movie!?!?

BookMyShowMoviesEvents is not stable. Gets hung up often. The features are not very well designed. For one example, If you purchase a ticket without logging in, which they still allow, you wont be able to add the purchase later to your account after logging in. Needs lot of improvements.

Your payment gateway doesn’t accept international credit cards! It’s a global world. Grow up!

Even after using a domestic card, payment doesn’t go through it an offer is selected but goes through when a card with no discount offer is used! BIG FAIL, BookMyShow!

Useless app tried 4 times 3 times money got debited and they will refund in 7 to 10 days . Why the yell u need 19 days to refuse d my money . Will u give me the ticket and collect money after 10 days . Worst of worst app nit even sure if the payment gateway is secured with back to back failure .

The current incarnation makes it way too easy to book a movie for the wrong date. You now have to work much harder to avoid the trap of booking for today when you want tickets for some other date. Customer Service is also super unhelpful; they wont correct the booking or refund you, so you have to pay twice if you make a mistake.

I would now directly contact the theatre and not support BookMyShowMoviesEvents. Would also encourage all my friends and family to do it. They just charge you exorbitant costs for ‘customer service’ which they deny to provide. They didn’t cancel my transaction less than five minutes after making the booking because of their ‘policy’!! I had a family emergency and cannot make it for some reason. They won’t acknowledge it. unhappy customer...

Card offers are selectable but when it is selected and details entered, it always says that the offer limit is reached.
There is some unethical stuff going on in the backend to avoid customers availing their card offers.

The customer support staff do not respond promptly either. After 1 month when someone eventually get back to you, they give some lame reason abt system issue or try again later and the issue persists.

While booking music concert in Bangalore, I was shown a music concert from a Jaipur location. This was ridiculous. In hurry, I thought it was a mistake from BookMyshow and booked it.

Only later when I was planning my commute I got to know that this was intentionally placed to promote event from other city. How is a customer wrong on this issue?

I was not shown any warning stating that "my search results will not meet my stated criteria". Their customer feedback team got feedback but declined taking an action to refund Rs 3000 spent on this.

What I see is an intent issue to solve customer issue and then after repeated emails team stopped responding. Today was my last day to use BookMyShow and I’ve to moved to Paytm, EventsHigh for booking tickets from here.

Recommend other to move to other apps. Once you face issue, BMS hands will be tied and they will decline helping you.

I used the service to book 3 tickets for a movie show Sui Dhaga and on the way my phone battery died and there was no way to retrieve the tickets.

Even theatre management didn’t have a way to trace our booking were asking to call customer service for help finally after 45 mins, manager try to intervene and use first and last letters of email with which he said he would allow. After all this we had to walk away as almost half of the movie was over and there was no proper handling of the situation.

We tried to reach customer service to our dismay there was a long queue of calls to wait hence I wrote to them about the incident hoping that they would resolve but there hasn’t been any response

Even though this is a convenient way of booking - but now that they have grown this big there should be a way to handle simple situation like ours.

I use BookMyShowMoviesEvents as a free resource. I don’t want them to have any of my money. I have taught everyone i know this trick because you never run into problems this way. I will continue to promote this way of using BookMyShowMoviesEvents not because of any issues I’ve ever had. I just think it’s really funny they will never get me or my friends money. The employees of this company are pan chodes and the person who is getting paid to read these reviews is the biggest pan chode haahahahahhahahhahaha yes you saaar!!!!

BookMyShowMoviesEvents is really badly made. Do not install or use book my show. It makes my iPhone hang/ freeze and crash repeatedly. From the time i have installed BookMyShowMoviesEvents it has made my phone battery reduce drastically. AVOID BookMyShowMoviesEvents.

Stop changing the date, there are late night shows available but why does BookMyShowMoviesEvents automatically change the date? It is stupid and annoying.

Sometimes getting error while booking need to improve

More offers should be available to be redeemed. Convenience charges are too high.

It will be more easy to remind about buy tickets notification when out favorite shows on sale

I’ll be honest… I think I’ve last booked using BMS only in 2016. I only use BMS to view the show times and go to the theatre to buy tickets 😏

It’s a good movie. Don’t understand y many are making it unpopular. It’s such a nice movie by Puri Jagannath and greatt acting by Vijay Devarakonda.
