Locks up on my iPad 10

I can not log on to DailyTracker after downloading it to my new iPad 10. To bad been using this for years.

The worst app ever

This is not a user friendly app, I can't find the simplest items unless I eat out and it loses all of my entries after I have gone to the trouble to find them. I know it is only 99 cents, but this is not worth a penny. After two days of trying to work with DailyTracker , I got so aggravated that I asked for a refund. All this crap did was make me angry trying to find the food items that I cook, not order out and about 95% of the food items I can't find. And when I do find them and save it all disappears. Don't bother paying for this, your better off just throwing your money into the garbage can. I'm sorry but I ended up hating DailyTracker. Even when I clicked on the help, there was nothing useful there to help me have a better understanding on how to find any item I wanted. Save your and your sanity.

Latest update super buggy

With the latest update it constantly erases my whole days food log. It erases the current day I’m on after I finish it. It also erases the days in the future when I’m trying to plan ahead. Getting very sick of having to keep adding the same things over and over just to have it erased.

Love the layout BUT...

I've been using a points based system to track and maintain my weight for over 9 years. This is the BEST layout I have seen for the iPhone but..... there is a MAJOR flaw. In order to enter any type of point you are REQUIRED to look up each and every food from the list that is in the program. If you already know what the point value is, why force me to look it up and go through thousands of foods in a list that I probably will never eat. WHAT A WASTE OF TIME!!!! Great layout though... love the whole design other than that but I deleted this an hour after I got it because its basically a not usable when you have to look everything up to enter it. Ditch the food list Keith and replace it with a food calculator. Your making this WAYYYYY too hard for everyone including yourself!!!!

Can’t see daily food items

LOVED DailyTracker for many years (since about 2010). I don’t think it’s active anymore because I haven’t seen an opportunity to update. Everything is working except when I click on the daily “food” icon (bottom left) it glitches out of DailyTracker and back to my home screen…which is annoying when you want to see your daily list of consumed food. That is the most important info I want to access, and I can’t. PLEASE UPDATE IF YOU STILL CAN! I noticed the website is gone now too… :(

Nice app

The only gripe I have is It won’t display in lbs, even though I have made it so in settings.

Like the app, food data base needs help

I've been using DailyTracker for a year and it's awesome in the ability to do either WW points or Points plus. I also like I can customize and add my own food list. The only complaint is the food data base, I really wish I could just default to my favorites. Looking for fruit always brings up tons of baby food. Really Babyfood? I wish I really had the option to delete items that I would never eat. Overall DailyTracker is great and helps me stay on the old WW point system which I love.

Great!

I have lost 7 pounds since I started using DailyTracker 2&1/2 weeks ago. I have done Weight Watchers in the past so I am familiar with the system, making DailyTracker very easy to use. Love the sounds that play when making entries. Nice touch. Two drawbacks are not being able to browse the food catalog unless you are making an entry. Same goes for adding food to the catalog. You can only do it through making a new entry. One of the access icons on the bottom should be for the food list. The water icon could be combined with the charts.

Track it to lose it app

Having done weight watchers for the past year I was happy to find this track it app. I was unwilling to pay WW or continue with weekly weigh ins to get use of theirs. DailyTracker took a little time to get used to but once I had my favorites saved, daily tracking is easy. I don't get much use out of all the name brands and restaurant items in the lists as I try to eat fresh unprocessed foods. A suggestion to DailyTracker makers to include an area for daily notes was greeted with a prompt response and was up and working within two weeks. As with anything there has been a few little glitches but overall this FREE App works well for me.

Great app at a great price

DailyTracker is great for food journaling, especially if you don't want to fork over the cash for the weight watchers program. If you know enough about how WW works, DailyTracker is a great substitute without the high costs. Love that they include blogs to help keep you informed about new findings, but wish they blogged more often. Love the fact that you can customize your tracker and add foods to your own list. Has a great list of foods that are already calculated and is very easy to add foods that are not on the list already.

Good, but...

DailyTracker is really good and useful, but it's not without problems. The first is that the menus are fairly complicated and the help page gives very little actual help.

Second, it doesn't explain the difference between things like "Value" and "Value+", which can be confusing to newbies.

Third, there's no way to sync across devices. I know the developers tout the fact that you don't have to sign in to anything, but signing in is what allows other apps to sync across devices (or at the very least, have it sync with GameCenter to do the same thing). I hate that if I put the info into my iPad all day, then go out with my iPhone, I have to either re-enter all the info or just go without knowing.

And finally, and this is just nit-picking (but would be nice), there is no option to scan a barcode to enter all the relevant nutritional data like other apps allow you to do.

In all, I'd give DailyTracker 3 1/2 stars, but I rounded up to be nice to the developers, who I'm sure are hard at work and will hopefully address some of these issues.

Easy to use

DailyTracker really has helped me lose weight! Easy to use, once you get the hang of it. I love the "save your favorite foods" feature, which is a shortcut way to record your calories. And you can "create" your own favorite (I make a fruit shake every morning, so rather than enter all of the individual ingredients every morning, I just created one "favorite" with all of my ingredients and calories imbedded in one entry). One small criticism: I can't seem to get DailyTracker to delete a "self-created" favorite like my shake, so if I mistakenly enter the wrong # of calories for a favorite I create, I can't delete it and start over - or at least I can't figure out how to do it,, and the directions/help function doesn't say. (I'm hoping the creator will fix this soon.). But overall, this is a great app to help you lose weight, and it's easy to use, even for me, a 55 yr old woman like me!

Shows promise

So far, this is the only points tracking app that I've found that has a database lookup. I was very excited about that till I started browsing the db. The amount of scrolling that is required is a bit cumbersome but tolerable. The most glaring problem I've seen so far is that the points don't seem to be calculated for the points plus program. I know I can change them manually but that kind of defeats the purpose of looking up in the first place.

I would also love it if DailyTracker could show remaining points on DailyTracker icon as another tracker app I have does. It's so handy to just be able to look at the phone screen and see my points rather than having to open my tracker.

I'll continue using DailyTracker because it is very functional and helpful and I'll be waiting for the updates to make it into the 5 star app I know it can be!

great app

Glad I found DailyTracker. It has everything I was looking for. Just a couple tweeks would be nice to make it perfect. In the quick entry screen, it starts every item out with a 0.00 value, so before I enter the value I have to erase the 0.00. It would save time if each box started out blank. Also when I entered 2 servings for an item it did not multiply to double the points used. Instead I had to go back to double it manually to make sure the correct points were deducted from my daily allowance. Last when I enter a food in the quick entry screen, it would be nice to have the option to "add to favorite foods list" right on that screen (maybe a button). That way I don't have to go in later and reenter it. Those are just very minor things. DailyTracker is otherwise wonderful and I know I will get a ton of use out of it! Thanks so much :)

LoveIt!

DailyTracker had all that I need.

Best point tracker

Unlike other Apps, this one has a huge inventory of food items which eliminates the need to enter in the nutritional values for everything you eat like the other Apps. I have lost 2 pounds so far in 5 days by tracking points and making smart choices, which DailyTracker helps me to do. My friend tried another App and it has zero food inventory so she stopped using it because it took so much time to enter values for each and everything she ate. DailyTracker allows me to add foods if I need to but most of the time the item is in the inventory. Yay! Thumbs up!

a must for any weight watcher!

DailyTracker has everything you need to track your food points, it even claps for you when you lose weight! very intuitive user interface, searchable food point database, ability to add exercise and it does the calculations for you! thanks to DailyTracker i dont have to lug around/fumble through a huge paper booklet to record my points or look food points up! thank you for building DailyTracker, i will be telling all of my friends who do this program!! A++!!!!

A low cost alternative, exactly what I needed!

I did the weight watchers at home flex points program 7 years ago and lost 80lbs. After putting back on a few lbs over the years I decided it was time to get back on the wagon. I still have all my program material from before, except now I can use my smart phone to calculate points values and keep track throughout the day. DailyTracker is basically a calculator/tracker from the old flex points system, but without the expensive membership. Thank you, Keith Kiser!

THE BEST!!!!!!

I have had multiple phones in my lifetime of weight struggles and tried out many computer and phone apps to assist in the battle. WWcalc for the Palm trio was a great application that did everything I needed. As I upgraded my phones that was lost.

Then, I found DailyTracker for the iPhone. It is the best App for logging weight, exercise, and, food that I have come across. Cross referencing to create my customized food library, or using the built in food list, I can maintain a log to keep me on track with my diet minus the $$$ some site wants for an online option. THIS IS PERFECT!

On the support side, the requests and question I sent in we're responded to in a time that customer service managers would admire. Great support!

Thanks for DailyTracker. It allows me to log and keep myself accountable and allows for social media posting as well if you want more accountability.

In summary - GREAT, GREAT, GREAT!!!!!!

Great app!

I love DailyTracker. It has a great Food Tracker system, it allows tracking of points rather than calories, and I can add my own foods and their point values to the list. I just learned from the news page that it follows the Weight Watchers system, which is what I do. The food points are off in the data base but that's because WW revised their method of determining points values this year. The admin is planning to update the values in DailyTracker and it will be great. Love being able to track exercise and weight along with what I'm eating. And the admin posts information relative to DailyTracker and eating right. Does everything I need, in one app!! Super!
