Absolutely love!!!

The best part about PocketFrogs is the humbleness. Im so sick and tired of all the apps on the store now BOMBARDING ME with 2 ads ever minute! This game is so fun and addicting, and cute too! And the only ads you get are CHOSEN to be watched, AND you get prizes for each ad you watch. Thats just so generous and nice. I seriously love collecting frogs. I do think maybe more mini-games that require more input from the player may be nice. The frog search game is legit random, so i never do it as Ive never been able to win. The race game is fine but you dont do anything but maybe give the frog a potion. The puzzle game is the best by far, and I think more games along that line would really improve the game. Id play those while waiting for the eggs to hatch.
I love this game for the fact that it doesnt run my data dry when im out and want to play. So many apps require connection just to get on it. Very annoying. Overall, for a FREE app that has VERY minimal ads, this game is so well made and really caters to its audience. The game features I mentioned are just a nitpick, and I understand that since the game has rarely any ads, the developers dont make much from it. However, the community for PocketFrogs is actually quite dedication and large. And I think maybe even adding an ad before a minigame could be ok as long as its not ridiculous. Anyways, love this game!

Relaxing Game, Best Developers

I’ve been playing Pocket Frogs since iPhone III was brand new. There’s just something very soothing and relaxing about tiny frogs that come in so many colors, and the challenges of finding the exact pattern and color combination you want. When I upgraded from iPhone 6s to 8, the data transfer service from Apple corrupted a bunch of save data from various games. Apple store says that happens, and there was nothing they could do.

I was devastated, I’ve had these froggies for over a decade! I reached out to Nimblebit support as a long shot, and to my surprise they were helpful and responsive. I found an old backup save on an old computer of mine, restored it to an iPhone, and they helped me get my save data back! Now my frogs are happily living on my iPhone 12, and Nimblebit has coded their own cloud syncing service into their game so I never have to worry about losing them to Apple’s errors again. Pocket Frogs has come a long ways in the past decade!

You would be hard pressed to find developers who care more about their game than this crew. They went out of their way to help me, and did not have to — I’m deeply appreciative and won’t forget it. :)

Good but some glitches

I had this game years ago. Got so far and had so many frogs, I believe I had every breed. Got bored with it and deleted it. Saw it again recently. Decided to try it again. However since I’m on a different device now I had to start all over. Which is fine. It gives me a chance to fall back in love with it. Only had it a few days so far and I’m already almost at level 8. The game itself is still pretty good. But one thing I’m getting tired of is the screen freezing in the gift freebies screen where you watch videos and advertisements for free stuff. After starting a video or ad, it only gets a few seconds into it and the screen freezes. Only way to fix it is force stopping it by backing out, then clearing your recent pages so the game has to load all over again. But lately not even that is fixing the problem. I’ve even tried powering my device off and back on but it’s still doing it. That needs to be addressed. I also like that although you can pay real money for things, you’re not forced to. And your progress doesn’t halt or become impossible unless real money is spent. My best advice, be patient and enjoy the game. If you’re not patient and want everything right away sure you can dump a ton of money into it. But why 🤷🏻‍♂️

A Classic that Remained a Classic

What’s great about this game is that I remember playing it on the first gen iPod Touch, and it was my favorite. There was a point where grinding XP to level up was very time consuming, but I guess that’s half the fun; looking back to how far you’ve progressed. It was friendly towards anyone who played it. No skill gaps or pay to win.
Began anew last night after many years, and I’m already at Frog Rarity 5, with 4 habitats plus the nursery. Still a nostalgic classic. No emphasis on paying to progress like many games, or pressure on the brain involving strategy or extra skill. Simple and fun. Breed frogs, sell rarer varieties for gold, unlock new cosmetics, and play mini games. Looks like they’ve added new breeds, new decor, and a new mini game since I’ve played. No ridiculous, constant, game-changing updates, battle passes, DLC, or premium junk (i.e. selling out). Same old classic blast from the past, that was kept an original all these years. Also the game is very generous with giving the player premium currency (potions and stamps) from gifts at the pond. Almost all games squeeze money out of you for premium in-game currency.
Giving a 4 star rating, only because I don’t like giving 5 stars, due to the fact nothing is perfect. Nice job with the game. Love it!

I absolutely love this game!

Let me start this off by saying that I have never written a review for a game before, that is how much I enjoy this game. I used to play it years ago, and love the joy that the little frogs bring me. I redownloaded this game about a year ago, and was sad to see that the little mini frog games weren't a part of the game anymore, but after revisiting recently and finding the mini frog games are back, I have found myself playing again! The frogs are so relaxing, I love to listen to the lil thump sound they make jumping around in their habitat. I love how simple this game is, I love how cute the frogs are, I absolutely enjoy the color dynamics and designs of each lil froggie. I enjoy the goal of completing the froggydex and the little frog sets. I also like the newest addition of the list and found, the little items you can buy in the catalogue for the froggies, and even the awards! I love how you can have neighbors, and send frogs that you like to your friends. Thank you so much for creating PocketFrogs, and I hope it never dies :))

Just how I remember it (sometimes not for the better)

I am so happy that Pocket Frogs is being updated again! I played as a kid, and the game is exactly how I remember it! I got my friends to start playing too, and they enjoy it tons even without the nostalgia. Something that irks me a bit is that the habitat background skins are the same quality as they were when I played on my original iPod Touch…so pretty low-def, especially with the crystal-clear frogs and decorations there for comparison. New habitat skins (or even the same ones, but HD) would be fantastic!

I feel like I remember there being a “Requests” feature on the menu that was another way to make money (ex. “I need a Marine Tingo Roboris for my amphibian research. I’ll give you x coins for it” or “A customer at my tropical pet store has requested a Purple Pruni Stellata; if you can breed one for me, I’ll buy it for x coins”). Maybe I made that up, but I think it would be cool to add that (or add it back!)

Thank you Nimblebit for reviving this wonderful game!

I Mostly Love It!!!

I just downloaded the game after I last played in 2012... now it won’t let me click past the first pop up verifying that my age is at least 16. I’m 22. I have no patience; please let me have my childhood back. Until then, 1 star.

EDIT: I had to delete it and redownload like twice and then it actually let me play. And I love the bits of nostalgia I get from playing. I love that I can go about the game without a rush to complete tasks, makes it very easy going and the different breeds is enough incentive to continue playing as well. My favorite is going to the pond and making my frogs happy and getting prizes along the way. One thing I noticed from other reviews was that the puzzle game was gone for a bit? I’m glad it’s not now. However if I’m not mistake, wasn’t there a Frog Request function where a certain frog genus and species would be requested and you could get extra points for supplying the demand? I wish that were still in the game, I liked going out of my way to breed frogs to fit the request. Other than that, I’m so happy I have this game in my phone again lol

Very fun, relaxing casual game

I downloaded this game way back in 2010 or so, then completely forgot about it until a friend of mine who loves frogs found it. Now I’m back into it, and it’s a lot of fun. Very chill atmosphere, progress feels steady, no necessary in-app purchases, nice sound, lovely graphics, simple, and probably impossible to complete to 100%. It’s pretty much the perfect casual time killer.

If I were to change or add anything to the game, it would only be the ability to get a closer look/larger picture of each frog., and to make the Frogidex searchable.

I also wish I could purchase just the ability to move eggs to any habitat, rather than the whole VIP package. Nothing else in the VIP package is particularly useful enough to pay $30 for it. To be fair, though, the game is completely enjoyable without spending a dime, and the IAPs they do offer are all useful if you want a boost. All in all, I highly recommend this game for anyone looking for a relaxing casual toy to zone out on.

Fantastic game!

I’ve been playing this game for a few years now, and I haven’t gotten bored of it. It’s a nice calm game to help you relax, and I definitely recommend it. There aren’t any pop-up ads to annoy you, and even though there are in-app purchases available, you’re not pressured to buy them. I’ve had a lot of fun working on the Froggydex and collecting frogs with patterns and colors I like, as well as completing awards and sets. Even with those, if you’re more of a lax player and don’t like achievements, then you can simply breed frogs that you like. The Chroma and Glass frogs are fun to breed, especially when they pop up unexpectedly as a possible offspring between two frogs that don’t have those colors. The sound effects aren’t overwhelming, and your frogs don’t die if you leave for a bit, which I really appreciate as someone who spends a lot of time hospitalized.

Overall, I absolutely love this game and I would definitely recommend it.

This makes me so happy! 💛

When me and my brother were really little, we were often bored and couldn't find anything to do. My mom downloaded this on her iPad so both of us could raise these cute little frogs together, and it was great. A few years ago, I remembered the game and searched for it. I was so happy when I found it, and had a lot of fun playing it again (now I had a better grasp of what I was doing). At some point, the device I was using broke and I spent a fair amount of time with no device. I somehow forgot it existed. But today, when I found it again, I realized PocketFrogs icon changed and thought, "No, way! Did they update it?" I always thought the game was just a forgotten masterpiece, so I was overjoyed when I found out they added new frogs AND a mini game! This lovely game will forever have a spot in my heart, no matter how many years go by!

Nice, but needs work:

It’s really fun and addictive, but gets boring eventually. This is pretty easy to get good at, so I suggest making it harder to find new frogs. All I had to do was play it for like, a week, and I was done with it. Please think about this!
Another thing you should think about is the update. It really ruined the game... Please add the games, achievements, and other things again that you removed, too. I would absolutely love it if you did this! I remember playing it and then deleting it for whatever reason, then getting it again- and bam! All of those incredible features are gone.
I mean, overall, I am VERY thankful you made this game, it was one of the first games I have ever played. Now I play a verity of things, but I still wanted you to know that I appreciate Pocket Frogs and all of the memories I have of it. Thank you. :)

(Btw just in case notify me if the mini games are back, I don’t have this game anymore and just tweaked this review a bit, it’s kinda old)

PUZZLES!!

Listen hear developers. I’m a nice person. I just was so disappointed to find out after downloading PocketFrogs 8 years later now during quarantine, that you removed the puzzles feature. I have had a horrible day and when PocketFrogs popped in my head out of boredom I couldn’t wait to download it and play the puzzle game. It was the best! Way better than the racing game where you pretty much do nothing. I would really appreciate it if you added the puzzle game back. :,). I don’t want this to just be a review you skim by. This would make my quarantine 10x better I enjoyed (and still enjoy!) PocketFrogs so much😭😭! Please please please please bring the puzzles game back. I’m literally almost 18 and I have never been so saddened before than to discover the puzzle frog game is off PocketFrogs. Thank you so much developers. You were apart of my childhood. Listen to my prayers 🥺🥺🥺🥺

Please change Froggydex

This used to be my favorite game but I stopped in 2014 after they stopped adding new weekly sets. I just noticed an update was available and very happily surprised that weekly sets have been reinstated. Two things about Froggydex that made the game less fun/challenging for me. First was when I discovered that Froggydex was updated when the egg was created, that took away the surprise of waiting for it to hatch. I think Froggydex should not be updated until egg hatches. Second, being able to clone prior frogs reduces some of the challenge of the weekly sets. I’m trying to pretend that I can’t just buy most of the frogs for the weekly set (maybe not exact, but ones that I can quickly breed) but I know I can which makes it a little too easy. Not being able to clone also makes it more fun waiting to see what’s in the shop each day.

AMAZING!!! DOWNLOAD ASAP!!!

This is such an amazing game! I got this game because I love frogs and I rarely encounter them in real life. I really love how this game allows you to TURN OFF ads FOR FREE. No other game I’ve played has this feature, and I really appreciate it, although I would still pay to remove ads but I’m just so glad I don’t have to with this game. I also love how you can leave the frogs alone basically forever and they’re totally fine when you come back! It also has some actions that take time to complete so I have time to do more productive things while I wait. I also love the fun minigames and exploring the pond, which is often exciting. And the frogs themselves also have all kinds of unique and beautiful patterns. This is probably my favorite game I have on my phone, and I believe this game is really worth downloading!

Fun game

Very cute. Very addicting. I think the frogs eggs should grow faster but overall I love this game.

I wrote the above review so long ago. It was one of my favorite games but in the years PocketFrogs had stopped working and I lost the game from my old phone. Im happy to see updates for it and being able to play again, even if I do have to start over. So fun and I hope it stays around for a long time. I would love it if there was more ways to make coins since those are the hardest things to get. Plus maybe when you sell stuff (backgrounds) you can get coins. Not asking for a ton but even just a few would be good since getting new habitats take a while. I missed these little frogs and I love you can lock the ones you want to keep. Seriously. Please don’t stop making updates! This is really a great game.

Increase store rotation plz!!

Hi big fan lol!...I’ve been level 35+ for half a year now and only needed three new patterns to have them all up until about a month ago when by some miracle one that I was missing finally popped up at the store... I’m really hoping I won’t have to wait another year to get the last two (if ever).... there needs to be a way to collect patterns you don’t have faster once you’ve hit level 35+ plz!!!

As it is for the last 5 months all I’ve done is briefly check the store once a day to see if one of the missing specimens has popped up. Once I get them all-you know I’m going for 100% completion haha. Hoping won’t have to pass my game on to my kids and their grandchildren to complete haha. So please put an easier or at least a guarantee way to get one of every species after you get passed level 35+. Love this game! Wanna beat it in this lifetime! Thank u!

I’m so glad you’re back! Here’s my feedback...

This game always brings me so much peace and joy! I was so sad during the time that I couldn’t get new sets to collect!

I hope you stay this time!

I am very much getting into online marketing. I hope you can find a gamer or YouTuber or someone with a large audience that can help you promote it! I’m only saying this because I see you only have 700 something reviews. Maybe they were reset or something...idk?

It’s a really great game. I love that there are no ads and that you aren’t too pushy about purchases. The game is 100% playable even if I don’t have the money to spend on it, which is what makes me stay.

I would consider making purchases if the prices weren’t so high. I want to support you but we don’t all have a lot of money to sacrifice. Make the prices low and the reward high.

I wish you all the best. You are doing this the right way, compared to some of these other games that are basically a billboard for ads that end up being boring after level 10 or where they become unplayable if you don’t fork out the dough. This is just a turn off and makes me delete them after a few days.

Pocket Frogs, though....I’ve had it on my phone since like 2012.

Love you guys ❤️

Game Crashing after Update

UPDATED- I emailed tech support and they were super friendly and helpful and I got my game back, right where I left off!

I absolutely love this game, I find it so relaxing and I spend more time than I should probably admit playing it. I paid for the pro version of the game. HOWEVER, three days ago my app automatically updated without me knowing and for the last three days I have been unable to play. I open PocketFrogs and it appears to work fine but once it loads to the habitat screen, the game freezes. Frogs freeze mid-jump and I can’t click on anything. I don’t want to delete PocketFrogs and re-download out of fear that I’ll lose all of my progress. Not sure what to do but I miss being able to play the game before I go to bed.

Impressed

This was the first game I downloaded when I bought my first iPad like a million years ago. I spent hours in it. It’s harder to play on the phone—the lily pads in the pond seem too far apart or not quite as easy to jump to for whatever reason—so when my youngest shattered my iPad, I stopped playing. But I noticed an ad for this a few days ago, and was full of nostalgia, so I re-downloaded it.

They’ve done a good job updating the game. The only thing they’re missing is the network, which would ask for random frogs in exchange for money or potions or stamps, and it’s not a huge deal. I like that you can choose the set you want to work on without endlessly cycling through them. I don’t remember being able to lock frogs before so you couldn’t accidentally sell them, which is a huge bonus when you have small children.

I just realized the depth of this game

When i was younger i loved this game, and liked getting the cool, glass frogs with rainbow patterns, thats it. I got PocketFrogs again about a month ago and wow, the depth of this game is much bigger then I expected.

At first i went for all the colors and all the patterns, I really liked seeing the frog dex fill up. Eventually i found my self broke on coins so i started breeding my highest profiting frogs and made loads of money, got new habitats and made sure my habitats increased my friendship as much as possible. Now I'm into competitive breeding, making the best frog out there for the runing competitions, with perfectly balanced stats

While the game is so fun there are somethings i want to change. First off is the nursery. Why can i only have one? i would get wanting to make it so breeding is limited but i feel it could be done better. Maybe after a certain level you can buy nursery for extra coins? My second problem is the level system. Sense i like to breed my frogs a lot levels are not a problem, but for many they are. Making levels a bit easier to get would be a big help.

Stil one of the best games I've played, would recommend to evryone

This game is my childhood

I love pocket frogs, always have and I always will. This game has brought me so much joy throughout the years, and I absolutely adored collecting frogs as a child. I remember when the iPad frost came out and my parents got us one for Christmas, pocket frogs was already downloaded on. It’s just a very easy going and relaxing game, almost therapeutic in a way. I’m simply here to say thank you for working so hard to keep this game going for all these years, I’m sure it’s not easy to keep up with the constant changes and updates and upgrades. We are lucky to have pocket frogs at all thanks to your work, yet that being said, it would be really amazing to have all (or at least some) of the old features back, especially the mini games. I understand if it can’t be done and I’m sure you hear about it often, but this game just means very much to me. I wanted to make sure that the makers knew how much I cherish it and how much I would love to see it back to the way it once was. Pocket frogs has a special place in my heart, and I’m so thankful that it didn’t disappear like some of my other favorite childhood games, but it feels a little emptier these days. I hope you take my request into consideration, but there’s no worries if it’s unrealistic. I’m just happy to have the game back on my phone again, mini games or not :) thank you <3

Many glitches/bugs... disappointed :(

used to play this a lot, and occasionally redownload when I get that pang of nostalgia. usually it’s no problem, I didn’t mind restarting when my frogs didn’t carry over, but this time was something else entirely... from the very start it couldn’t seem to decide which two frogs I had been given and changed their colors several times even after I tamed and bred them. not in the fun chroma way-I started with a green and pink frog, tamed the green one, and the pink one was gone replaced with a brown one. after I bred them, the green loaded as black (though the baby frogs still had the old green colors). the pond was weird too, lily pads appeared on top of each other, dragonflies spawned in and out on screen instead of flying across, and twice the frog didn’t even jump and instead just appeared on the lily pad I touched. also the new fly balance doesn’t seem nearly as straightforward. plus, the mini games like the puzzle I enjoyed aren’t in this version. I wouldn’t have minded their removal so much if the frogs themselves were functional, but I just can’t see myself getting invested in a collection game that can’t keep track of my collection. at least the set collection isn’t stuck on that same mother’s day set anymore, I guess. I hope all of this gets worked out because I used to genuinely love playing this and it’s a shame it doesn’t seem to work right at this time.

Leveling & Mini Games

I have played this game on and off for years but I have always enjoyed my time on this game and I just recently downloaded it again to play and the mini games are gone now? To me it’s kind of frustrating because it was a way to wait for my little ones to hatch and gain xp/coins from these games. I really think some mini games should be put in place again because it kept us players more involved that way. Also leveling seems to be hard for me to achieve easily due to the fact that you seem to only gain xp by taking frogs now which in early game stages you’re not really getting much from the Anura breed when taming them. I’m not sure if any other player feels like I do but I think mini games the reward you with xp and coins would be nice to have back in the game. Because when you are doing the sets you have to wait until you are on that level to even be able to get that frog in most cases which tends to be a very long and tedious process. Daily Challenges would also be a cool addition to try and breed a certain frog or to catch so many flies in the pond to gain xp or coins.

The game of a lifetime... for me that is

I used to enjoy playing this game on my mother’s iPad when I was younger... It was when the first few iPads came out and we were lucky enough to own one. My mom downloaded the game for my sister and I to play and I always enjoyed it when I was younger, although at the time, I had no clue what I was doing and just enjoyed playing with different colored frogs and lily pads. Now that I’m older, I have my own set of devices that I play different games with. It was actually today that I recollected my thoughts and wanted to try and find this game.. since it had been so long I didn’t even think it would still be an app, as old as it is. But I went on safari and searched up “what is the game with frogs and lily pads called?” And sure enough, it was there. So I got PocketFrogs and i started playing again and it was kind of like reliving a small portion of my early childhood. So thank you for giving me that, and I hope for the generations to come, that PocketFrogs may do the same for others as it has done for me.

Disappointed with the update

I've been playing this game on and off for 8 years. It was one of the first apps I downloaded, and I absolutely loved it. I completed every single set as it came out and was a bit sad when they ended, but I still came back occasionally to breed some frogs and see how much I can complete the froggydex (I've gotten 100% on the 7 lowest-level types so far).

I guess it's been a while since I last played, and a lot of features have been removed. It seems like the races where you can win new frogs are completely gone as well as some other menu options (probably not things that were super important to me, but the menu is definitely quite a bit smaller). I've also lost all of my completed sets. I still have the same frogs in my habitats, so it's not like all my progress was lost, but I'm still a bit upset about losing multiple years worth of progress on the sets.

I'm not sure why things were updated but it's a total disappointment from the way the game used to be, and I wish I had known to keep it non-updated.

Still a few bugs

I'm so glad the game has been updated and is still playable, but there are a few issues with this update.
The pond is glitchy. Sometimes lilypads spawn very close together or overlapping, which makes the frogs jump awkwardly. When they're too close together, you can't catch any flies between/on them. Also weird is the fact that flies and the fish in the background will suddenly appear on screen instead of spawning off-screen and coming in from the sides. Not a bad thing, just weird to see. Lastly it seems like flies aren't worth the same amount of minutes that they used to be. Originally, the biggest flies were worth 4 minutes. Now it seems like any random fly is 4 minutes and there's no predicting which it'll be. It's kind of annoying.
Also, I miss the frog requests. They were something to work towards and the biggest help for leveling up.

Again, I'm thankful this game is still playable. I'm happy that we can own more habitats as well, but this update needs some ironing.

What happened...

I've recently started playing again and I've already played this game for many years as a kid growing up. Coming back I've noticed a few changes.... and at first I didn't think much of it, and I'm talking about the "games" you can play the races, puzzles, awards?, etc. At first I thought maybe you have to unlock them (the games)? But I was wrong... I did some research just now moments ago and figured that many things of the game were just cut out for quite some time now..... And that kinda hurts, but it obviously hurt the game more than it did to me. This game is still addicting and that's one reason why I came back to it after so many years later. It's still fun... Just that a lot of it's addicting features were removed, and also I've noticed and I'm not sure if it's just me, but the pond now feels quicker? It's no longer slow majestic frog jumps but now quick teleportations.... Pls add a few new things or bring back the games and awards. This game can easily go back to a 5 stars and be a recommendation for "Games we like" on PocketFrogs Store ;-;

Classic, still hopping

I took a long break from this after breeding over 70% of the frogs in the game, so when I recently got the urge to go back and finish the job, I was glad to see it’s still available, maintained, and all my frogs were waiting right where I left them.

There are a few issues with the current version, pros and cons.

The great thing is that we can now buy many more habitats. That does speed up the indexing/breeding program in the long run.

Although there are a few classic features missing/retired now (racing, catalog, sets) the only thing I’m really bothered by at all is that breeding takes longer. I still have muscle memory of rapidly breeding batches of 8 frogs, rapid fire. Now there’s a slight delay in the pop up boxes you have to confirm that slows it down oh so slightly but oh so noticeably when you’ve bred as many frogs as I have.

But I can adapt to that.

Only two things on my wish list: auto-flow of frogs from nursery to habitats while breeding (if you’ve bought the egg carrier upgrade) and “sell all” in a habitat. I would pay for those features, and to prove it I bought both stamps and potions today even though I don’t use them and I already have collected thousands of each.

But I know the deal: there has to be enough chance of such new features paying for themselves to put in the effort of making them. Still, I dream.

Anyway, happy to be back to frogging. Happy I CAN return to frogging.

Long overdue update delivers less than perfect results

This was a welcome update, but after installation I found a few things that were unsettling. Request system for rewards were gone: I was waiting for a frog to mature that would get me multiple potions and since the request system was gone I was out of luck. Pond animations are lightening fast: dragonflies zoom from one location to another and require a lot of luck to catch them and when you jump your frog, it's there so fast your eyes have spots. Slow it down! Habitat animations are similarly difficult with eggs moving a significant distance at a time and frogs are harder to catch. Again, slow it down! The cataloging system is now gone, so if I want to retrieve a lost, but catalogued frog, I'm SOL. I'm lucky, I have all colors and pattern colors as well as every breed I have found so in my habitats, but not everyone plays as organized as I do. Right now, this is a step down from what it was, please make a step up back to where it was before another update "forward".

Not so fun anymore

I had this game a long time ago and loved it; sometime earlier this year I got it again and was having a great time. When I saw there was a new update I was so excited. However most of the features that made it so much fun are gone! The requests, the catalog, and the minigames have all disappeared so that the only thing left to do is just breed frogs, seemingly for no purpose other than to get more frogs to breed. I worked very hard on my catalog and now all the frogs I put in there are gone. Also, I think that while it's nice that you changed the lily pad designs, the pond moves really quickly and it's harder to get flies so it's not as charming anymore and is more of a hassle. Additionally, the new menu screen makes it really hard to see the frogs in the each habitat since they're all squished in the middle.
In general, this update took away a lot of the charm of the original game and made it boring and challenging as opposed to fun and relaxing. I hope that they bring back some of the old features or at least introduce some new ones to help make it fun again, otherwise I might have to stop playing.

Not the same anymore.

Dear developers,
I’ve played this game off and on since the first year of its release. I was recently looking for a game to go full out on and remembered one of my favorite games as a kid! I downloaded and looked through finding there are so many new frogs to love and collect! I was so excited! But lo there were none of the features that made the game worthwhile :( no mini games to pass the time, no achievements to shoot for and add depth to the game. I know you had to completely reboot the game recently and that’s completely understandable! However, the fact that you said you may not even try to reimplement it really struck me to my core. This game was so well made and enjoyable but now it’s just hop around, breed, repeat. There is no depth nor guidance to the game anymore. I’m not saying make it like it was but we need something to do to make the game worthwhile. I will not be deleting the game in hopes of a new update implementing new functions, but until then, I’ll still be looking for another game.

Yay, more years of frogs -but...

But, this update is just not doing it for me. Don't get me wrong, I'm thrilled that I can continue trying to breed every combination of frogs, but there are some things that are just wrong now. Like the list of habitats doesn't display correctly. It's super narrow now and the frogs are jammed together so you can hardly tell what's where. Then there's the lack of notifications. Please bring those back so I know when to check on my frogs and breed a new generation. Also, the Froggydex used to stay where I had last viewed it, which was awesome for quickly checking if I already had a combination, now I feel like I spend more time scrolling around trying to find where I left off. Lastly, the animation when the text boxes pop up takes too long. I've played this game so long that I can practically do it by muscle-memory, but the lag time puts me out of sync. Thank you for not letting PocketFrogs die, but do ya think some things might go back to the way they were?

Perfect...but

It’s absolutely perfect when taken at its simple value. Breed frogs. Collect colors. So on... but I know it has a lot of (for lack of a better word) dormant features. The speed and endurance levels still exist, not to mention the happiness bar. Even though this contributes to price when selling, i know it’s a remnant of past features. I can see a whole collection of past features that have been taken off PocketFrogs , and it makes the game very basic and not as compelling. Now, I effing love PocketFrogs , I play it every morning when I wake up for like ten minutes and when I’m waiting for the bus and things like that. I know I’m for the most part satisfied with just collecting the colors and the breeds, but I would love the other lost features to come back. Just to add another layer to the game. Wonderful game for kids who love frogs, and wonderful for people who find themselves staining at the phone for hours but having nothing to do (and are too lazy to do puzzle games haha).

Hate the update!

I played this before iOS 11, and it was so fun! The graphics were gorgeous, and I loved the games! Would easily rate it five stars. I’ve rated this five stars so you have a better chance of reading it. Right now, I wouldn’t give it more than two stars. And I won’t play as often. After the update, you can no longer...
- catalog your frogs which was helpful to me before: I cataloged all of my potion frogs so I would know which ones they were.
- play games with them anymore which is very saddening, since I loved the puzzles and I had amazing racing frogs. The thrill of getting a new frog, or a prize made it hard to put the game down.
- see what frogs you have at a glance since the habitats are squished down, basically forcing the frogs on top of one another, whereas before they were more spread out.
-relax at the pond. It is not smooth, it is too jerky and is hard on the eyes.
-get and send requests. I liked the requests because there was an extra element of something to work towards.
There’s one bit of praise I have to give you though, I’m very glad you gave us codes instead of having to manage our friends through Game Center. Specifically because some of my friends didn't have an Apple phone so they didn’t have Game Center. Even MORE specifically, Game Center was removed in iOS 10. I hope you will read this and fix the bugs, so it makes the game more enjoyable, and more people will continue to play.

Please Please do bring the minigames back!!!

I agree with one of the reviews I read. I also used to play this game a few years back. What happened to the minigames?! Who decided to take them out? If it's about budgetting, then simply post on social media about how the game used to be and ask how many people miss the mini games and wish that they'd be readded. And possibly have a little fundraiser that you think would work best. Those of us who are fans also can give suggestions for fundraisers too. Just simply ask all of us on a social media platform and who knows we may help y'all raise so much that y'all are able to fix all the bugs and bring the minigames back too. And also there can be a weekly or monthly challenge of breeding a certain breed of frog and selling it for a lot or trading it for a substantial amount of potions...actually I am pretty sure you already had that in there...

In short, when able, please readd the minigames. All fans, me included, thank you in advance.
