I was very interested in the SOS and programmable strobe, but all I got was a light switch. No way to add the other features ? In app payment not accessible.

Wow it's awesome

Used the flashlight while climbing on a boulder rock face down to a hot springs . We only had two regular flashlights. The flashlight app was the 3rd and shone more bright light than the other two combined and lasted for well over an hour of phone battery. Would be nice to be able to focus the light and change the color balance of the light.

I like the intuitive nature of the on and off switch. If I had one wish it'd be that you could pick colors for your light. PS- I never use the strobe option; not sure of the practical applications of it.

I don't usually right reviews, but when I downloaded DroidLight as a backup flashlight and saw how truly original this flashlight was over all the rest I had to move it to my main flashlight and write a review! Definitely the best flashlight I have found!

I've bought the top 3 flashlight apps and none are as fast as droid light! They all claim to be the fastest but this one really is - even with the ads! I just paid $1 to get rid of them and it's even faster! BUY IT!!

I really love DroidLight! My husband had it on his phone and it's what I wanted when I got my phone. I downloaded a different one not realizing it wasn't the same as my husband's. I quickly uninstalled it and found the droid flashlight to install!

Downloaded DroidLight, used it to signal the rescue chopper after my plane went down in a secluded forest lake, having to survive using only the hatchet I got as a birthday present and my iPhone 4, which I remembered I had after four months living in a cave.

I've really enjoyed DroidLight for several months. I use it basically daily to see while climbing stairs with the lights off to keep from waking my kids. Thanks for the timely fix last month.

This is a life saver. My most used app.:
On the road, finding stuff in my purse, during the night, no need to wake up hubby with bright lamps! It never fails me. Wonderful. Even read by the lite! Most important, keep phone batteried
up should you need to call 911.....I've had to do it.

My phone broke and I was down-graded to a phone without a flash...I hated loosing my flash because that meant I lost my flashlight ....now that I have my new phone (with a flash) I made sure to download a flashlight app ASAP! It's one of my most used apps! I'd be lost without it!

I love DroidLight!!! I had to use it when I was sharing a large open living space with others during some training sessions. I did not want to turn on the main light in the bay and wake everyone up but I did not have a flashlight on hand, fortunately I always have my phone with DroidLight. Get DroidLight you will not be disappointed.

This is the best light app there is. I had to get a new phone and downloaded several other light apps before I finally found this one again. I use DroidLight every single night to see what my dog is doing when he jumps off the bed. It's automatic as soon as you click on it if you set it right. The other apps just don't work like this one.

The most bright between free app for iPad

None of the other free flash lights were bright enough on my iPad. This one gets super bright! Easy to use. And it's free.

I never write reviews. Writing this one because it's such a good, simple, useful tool.

I've had the ad-sponsored (free) version of this for years and have used it often. Tried a newer, cooler-looking app from iHandy. That one has lots of skins for the flashlight and some fun strobe options. This one doesn't have as many bells and whistles, but it also just turns your phone into a flashlight right after you open it. Launching iHandy's version takes you to a loading screen, then the options screen (where--surprise!--you can buy other apps from them!) Finally you hit the flashlight button and another load screen... And then the light comes on. I have a 4s, so I imagine this lag is worse for many users. It's a difference of like 5 seconds between iHandy and Droid, but if I'm looking for my keys in a dark room or trying to find something when I'm camping, I just don't want to wait for my flashlight to turn on (you'd never put up with that in a maglite, right?) I just want to click once to open the program, and have light. Period. And with this, I do. It loads quick, without upselling you via arbitrary interstitial menus. I Deleted iHandy, and just upgraded to the ad-free version of Droid Light. (Sorry it took me so long to pay for a good program, devs!)

Overly long review of a cheap simple tool? Yes. Worth buying? Yes, easily.

8 of us were out to dinner last night at a restaurant whose lights were all out for Earth Hour. That was great, but nobody could read the menu by candlelight. Instantly 5 of us at the table whipped out our iPhones for light, but only the Droid Light was powerful enough to be truly useful. I had downloaded it on the spot to my iPhone 4, while the others had the 3G, and before long they were all passing mine around the table.

Great light. Best one I have found. All anybody has to do is try it. Get in a dark room turn it on & then make ur choice. No body carries a flash light around with them but everybody carries a phone with them. It only makes sense to have tools u need on the thing u have with u from the time u depend on that same phone to wake u up if ur like me that is till the time the music from the same phone puts u to sleep.

I have at least 5 flashlight apps on my iPhone. But this is the only one that I use. And I use it every night.
I like its simplicity. I just select DroidLight and instantly have a nice useful light coming out the back of my phone.

I only wish it worked on the iPad. (I have not found any flashlight apps that use the backlight/flash on the iPad.)
