Crashes every time you try to use any of the functions and email support will not allow you to email them. It blocks you from sending emails or reporting problems! COMPLETE Waste of money!

App says it will allow more than 20 texts so far not true.

At&t limits group texting to 10 people with "MMS" messaging turned on. So you have to disable MMS messaging every time you send a group text to more than ten people. I had repeated problems sending group SMS messages. I emailed the support link for SmartGroup and all they said was "Each wireless carrier determines the maximum number of SMS recipients". Well thats great. They didn't offer a work around or anything. I had to google search to find answers. SmartGroup is designed for the iPhone, and the only wireless carrier for the iphone is AT&T, they SHOULD LIST THE LIMITATIONS OF SmartGroup UPFRONT! They know that AT&T limits group SMS, but they don't tell you. What shady characters. I would never buy SmartGroup again. I want a refund.

I have used several of the group texting apps and they work great but lack the ability to use groups already built in your address book. I was excited that SmartGroup apparently had corrected that issue. Alas, it did not. When I create new groups in my Contacts they show up in SmartGroup , but are empty (no contacts in the group). And worse, you can't send a message to the groups that are there. You can only send pre-created messages from a list and even in those cases, many of the messages don't get sent. Worst group text app I have seen.

I texted one distribution list and it worked good. I then texted another group and it would only send the people that have iPhones. I check to see if it was sending imessages and it said no. I turned off iMessages. It still didn't work. I've e-mailed them twice and no response. If you want customer support don't buy.

Downloaded SmartGroup today. Unable to use. Every time I try to use SmartGroup it crashes.

The reason for the crash it seems only specific to when using Exchange based mail account on the iphone.
I have isolated this and sent a support request to the developer for further testing.

I hope the developer seeks to remedy this to work with MS Exchange so that I can use it and update my rating, as it seems like a longed for application.

I probably haven't given this enough time, but the first time I tried to send a group text to my girls cross country team it didn't work. I've been sending out emails one at a time. It does organize my girls contact info into a group so that they are easy to find.

A quick and easy way to send group sms, would be 5 star if it can send attachments.

This is exactly what I needed. The greatest thing it has is the ability to create Smart Groups. iTunes can not sync smart groups from mac, but now I can create smart groups on my iPhone.

I have been looking for smart group apps for a while. This is the best I’ve got. Until Apple brings the smart group function to iPhone, I will stay with this one.

Bought SmartGroup today. It took me a couple of minutes to setup 3 distribution lists with 20-40 contacts. Easy to set up and edit lists. It integrated with iPhone Contacts, so I didn’t need to type the contacts information. It helps me to keep in touch with every one from my iPhone. I would highly recommend this application.

This has been a great app for my iPhone. With coaching a club soccer team it makes it easier to send out notices to all of my parents/players. It was a pain trying to txt and email over 20 people at one time before I downloaded SmartGroup. It saves a ton of time. It is worth the money if you coach or manage any kind of sport.

Finally found an app with real smart group function. It's so slick to send group text/email.

SmartGroup has been a wonderful tool enabling me to build multiple smart groups and lists.

SmartGroup crashed, emailed the developer, got really quick response with a fix.

SmartGroup is very powerful. My contacts are automatically enrolled into the selected group. Thanks!
