Right away the program deleted all my contacts. Need them back or this things junk to me.

Nobody responded and I was just charged again. I need out but nobody responds

ContactsDuster steals money from you. Works badly and is high on the list of things not to download. Don't do it you'll be sorry.

As soon you open ContactsDuster you gotta pay something to use. But it says is for "free".

ContactsDuster is in desperate need of an update. I paid for the upgrade but it prompts to purchase the cloud backup option every time you open it, which is extremely frustrating since I back up to the iCloud. ContactsDuster ’s auto-dust feature does not work well, at least on my device running the latest iOS. There is also no support for ContactsDuster, from ContactsDuster itself. I was expecting more from a paid app.

Free version requires manual removal of each duplicate contact. This is only slightly better than not having this free app at all. You have to buy the paid version "Auto Dust" which is not exactly automatic because it crashes after removing about 220 duplicates. Then you need to relaunch, re-analyze, and then re-merge again. I had to do this ten times to remove 2000 duplicates. The paid version needs more refinement. The free version is practically useless and its description needs to be more truthful about its usefulness.

ContactsDuster is ok, I wasn't really sure what to expect, it doesnt do anything that you couldn't already do yourself but it makes the process more simple and easier. It means you dont have to go through all your contacts one by one, instead it groups them all together for you so that it is easier to sort through. I would recommend downloading the free version before buying first as you may be dissapointed, although pricing is reasonable and hardly bank busting!

I got ContactsDuster 3 years ago, I heard somewhere it was good. I only opened it once while bored waiting in line, I "dusted" my duplicates. I opened it again today while upgrading my iPhone, deciding what apps I want to kill. I dusted again and made a few groups. This is a GREAT App if you are like me and have hundreds of disparate friends and acquaintances around the planet. I have a number of mail/phone/message apps each with their own contacts that have vampired from other Apps. You know the deal. ContactsDuster gathered them all up and "dusted" the dupes!
I found 2 contacts I thought had been lost!! No idea how it is able to get inside all my Apps but better this software than Big Brother. Thanks

Does a good job with recognizing and merging duplicates - beyond that it seems you need the paid version.

A manual clean up would have been more tedious. The extra time it took to sort through my contacts was to modify labels on duplicate entries that didn't match up perfectly. This failure to match made ContactsDuster 's list scan miss those duplicates. It may have taken less time to use the paid version as it lets you complete tasks for multiple entries at once instead of merging one by one but the free version worked just fine!

Programs just makes sense, find duplicates and merges several contact into one so all your data is in one contact.... instead of having 4 contacts such as email, phone number and address you now have one. Programs also has a backup that's great just in cause you press the wrong button our have a issue. Only request would be to move groups an merge them or rename and create a new one. Other than that app is worth the upgrade once you have reach the free functions portions.
Great for me when you have 5800 contact and 2000 are duplicates.

Ever since Apple updated to iCloud, my contacts have all been messed up. So annoying. All the other phone book cleaning apps were either a rip off, or didn't work.

This one not only worked, but backed up my info first. And for only $2. Nice work, and I appreciate the free trial with in app purchase that's not a rip off. Anyone who complains about the in app purchase is a dolt.

Ok I had 55 copy's of a ton of my contacts in my phone ,the free version make you do each contact one at a time so it took me a few days but I am happy with what I got for free I have tried many apps to fix this problem ,and this is the 1st one to get me there ,I am going to pay the 3 bucks ContactsDuster is quick and I went from ,18,000 contacts down to the true number of contacts I have .

I have been haunted by duplicate contacts for years. This is an excellent solution, and it worked extremely quickly. It consolidated all the duplicates, eliminating over 650 entries. I am pleased. One note: in the description it says that the price is $0.99 The actual price is $1.99. It's only a buck, but this did needlessly add a twinge of disappointment to an otherwise fantastic purchase experience. It is certainly worth two bucks.

sometimes you find an App that does exactly what it was developed for, ContactsDuster does just that. I have been using iphones since 2007 and my contacts have mutated into a sea of duplicates. Sometimes I have sat down and tried to correct them taking hours doing it, but iTunes can be a mystery and do what it pleases. ContactsDuster will clean my contacts everytime.

To all those wanting to clean up tons of duplicates, forget the free version that everyone is complaining about and go for the $ 1.99 and clean up the mess in your contact list in less than ten seconds. Very useful app and saves a lot of time. If it was you, would you take the time and trouble to make a functional, decent, app and give it away? Doesn't the developer deserve his "big" 30% cut from Apple for his time? Just buy ContactsDuster .

I can say i have allot of duplicates in my contacts, and its so frustrating. Its just a pile of unnecessary things that are time consuming. It hardens the ability to find a contact and makes the list even longer. ContactsDuster helps me to avoid this frustration and cleans up all the duplicates with ease. Also let's me sync contacts easily from other phones without spending time doing them manually. All the number pressing i saved because of ContactsDuster.

Although personally I'm not in business, I would so recommend this to people in business though who have a million of contacts and in great need for a "clean up " of their contact books. I have lived in a lot of places, thus I know many people and my contact book is always in chaos. With contact duster, things have been so much easier and organized with its easy-to-use interface and helpful searching engine. Loved ContactsDuster !! Definitely worth it!

I've been spending my free time matching and merging duplicates manually. I suggest nobody try this I finally downloaded several free apps to see if they worked or were a waste. This one worked, I didn't use the auto dust, but I was able to quickly match and merge duplicates faster than how I did it before. The others had little control over what I could, ContactsDuster gave complete control. I will recommend ContactsDuster to family, friends, and strangers, like you.

When I merged two contacts it appears to work but when I start the program again or look at the contacts in my main file they aren't merged. I emailed support at Contacts duster and got an immediate reply. It turns out that they are working on a newer version which will solve my concern and they will also be adding more information about ContactsDuster to avoid the confusion I had about the differences between the paid version and the free version. Whenever an application's developer is quick to respond to a customer complaint I always give them five stars as this kind of immediate support can be as important as the software being great in the first place. Anyone with 2000 plus contacts like me should consider the paid version of ContactsDuster for weeding out the duplicates and blank contact entries.

An excellent application with exactly the features needed to get your contacts properly managed and your duplicates removed, a feature that is unmatched in the Outlook email client I use on my desktop.

In some environments, like mine, I can‘t use the Contacts Duster‘s Auto-Dust feature, simply because my corporate contacts do have legitimate duplicates, like when two or more individuals working in the same department, have their own email address, but still share the same phone number. Despite the fact that Auto Dust can‘t be applied, Contacts Duster gives me a great overview of my duplicates, like I have never seen before. Through it‘s interface, I can manually choose to merge them or manage them in any other way I choose.

Although the free version has most of the features I need, I will be going for the Pro version for three important reasons: a) I like the Pro grouping feature, b) You get all future new features, pro or not pro, free of charge, and most importantly c) their tech support is excellent and I believe they deserve every penny they charge for the Pro version (Just wait and see the enhancement in the next version due in a week or so).
