Drudge Report (Official) Reviews

There are things you need to understand when looking at Drudge Report for news. It is NOT the same readership with what you’re going to see mainstream.

There are click bait titles and also sometimes you would think the apocalypse is happening tomorrow with headlines, however the articles take less than 2 minutes each to read. This news station is all about information. Gather your own opinions and knowledge by clicking around.

I personally compare several forums and news stations as each provides different angles of the same news. Don’t just take main stream news for its word. Open your mind.

The apps main page is not refreshing. The breaking news work but not the main page. Also when I select the three column button on the bottom, DrudgeReportOfficial then crashes. Can we fix this? Also can to enable the dark mode feature? App is very bright when reading at night.

DrudgeReportOfficial is just brutal , almost no real time news of events around the world or useful information . Just constant clickbait and Covid doom news. Example: not one article on the recently missing woman found dead in Grand Teton and the ongoing investigation that the nation is watching but articles on a tight rope daredevil, a flight attendant tell all about rich people , and TV shaping how we eat and travel 🙄

Great app and site, just difficult to read at night, wish there was a way to swap to a dark screen like most other apps during the night hours. Thanks!

DrudgeReportOfficial is great! The refreshing however, gets annoying but it doesn’t upset me

Been a reader since 1996, soon after it started. I love the retro format, the content and its political bent.

You have to realize it is not a standard news site.

I only read the headlines. Started getting A LOT OF BATTERY DRAIN from BACKGROUND ACTIVITY. Why? I turned off Background Refresh under preferences but I don’t feel like I should have even had to research this drain in the first place. Terrible app!

This used to be my favorite app, now the articles are absolutely silly and bent left, no longer impressed given the fact that 90% is speculative clickbait

An awful lot of left ideology articles 🥴 not the Drudge Report we all know and love. What a shame. 🤡 don’t download unless you use they/them and love soy lattes from Seattle.

Right leaning stories seem to glitch at a far more accelerated rate than left leaning. Often times just clicking on a story link closes DrudgeReportOfficial entirely.

terrible user interface... this used to be a good app... i’ll never understand why developers can’t leave things alone when they’re good... ‘if it ain’t broke... don’t try to fix it’. ZERO stars...

The used to be me go to news source but it has been destroyed by opinionated bias reports with no basis in fact. Really sad, but you are being deleted!

Website always crashes

Drudge changed to an anti-Trump neocon website… it’s terrible. Support for liberal sites like MSNBC and Daily Beast… I switched to The Liberty Daily. So much better!

Drudge is no longer peddling truth. By definition not a conservative news source. Avoid at all costs.

I love the information from the Drudge Report. However since your latest update, DrudgeReportOfficial is essentially no different than the website. You had some really great improvements for iOS8 and then mysteriously abandoned them. I liked the innovative navigation "compass", that was something to get used to, but eventually I really dug it.

This latest update makes me think I'll just use the website, since DrudgeReportOfficial no longer formats to the size of my iPhone, there's just no benefit to using DrudgeReportOfficial . Also, if you do decide to make DrudgeReportOfficial worthy again, make the refresh something I control. There's nothing more annoying than scanning the headlines only to have DrudgeReportOfficial refresh on its own and lose my place.

Hoping you'll get your mojo back and make a relevant app again.

Today, and for the last several months, DrudgeReportOfficial is a pain to use. But only a few months ago it was the best Drudge app and better than reading the Drudge site on a mobile browser. That was way back in version 3. Versions 4 and 5 seem to have completely rebuilt DrudgeReportOfficial from scratch. Now DrudgeReportOfficial is inferior to simply reading Drudge in my browser. I'm currently trying out alternative Drudge apps now, because after being a user of DrudgeReportOfficial for years, I find it is no longer convenient or a pleasure to use. I'm severely disappointed because I used to get a lot of enjoyment and information from DrudgeReportOfficial several times each day. It was my go-to when I had a spare minute of down time to kill anywhere, anytime. Now DrudgeReportOfficial is absolutely incapable of showing me Drudge in the timeframe of a spare minute. And believe me, I've tried and tried. I hated to give up because I loved DrudgeReportOfficial once. But now it simply won't perform. As others have said, it's slow, it refreshes and reframes spontaneously and it's riddled with app-store pop-up adds to the point that it's nearly unusable. I have to work hard to make it work. It's so frustrating. I rarely write reviews, but the unusually disappointing decline in quality of this once-great app has moved me to speak up about it.

I can see the entire Drudge page on the browser version and quickly scan the whole page and zoom in to show as little or as much as my heart desires. DrudgeReportOfficial , however, pre-selects a font size that you cannot adjust, feeds you headlines that (because of the font size) run into extra line spacing reducing total headlines available. It’s a very inefficient way to view the news, like being fed M&M’s by the piece when what I want is a handful. And not having that option is not preferable to the browser. It’s an issue if time, space, control, and efficiency. Just my take. I’d use it if they could give me controls over all of that. The only benefit I see is getting alerts, but then again, just who decides it’s worthwhile or rises to the level of sending a notice to my phone makes it all questionable.

A ONCE GREAT And indispensable application has lost its way for a long time from over design. Nobody wants to use an application that is worse than a browser based solution.

This was a quirky but functional app until late mid to late 2014 when it began to receive a rewrite. Now all of its features are gone, there are no configuration options and it is slower and more difficult to navigate than the Drudge repot website itself.

Why Why Why? I am now saying goodbye to a product which ranked among my used apps. It was quirky, it was annoying, but it beat the heck out of using Safari on an iPhone. It no longer does and I now see no value add whatsoever to DrudgeReportOfficial.

Don't see a way to fix this in the numerous settings. If there is one it is under a misleading name.

Also there are many blank page issues which come and go with each release.

It’s funny how corrupt Apple is and will not populate Drudge Report when you type in ‘news apps’ in their search bar. Every other news app and especially left leaning ones are right there at the top and nowhere even on the bottom is Drudge Report listed. This is why the Drudge Report is the best news app as Matt Drudge and team counter the phony hypocrites in the media. These corrupt pseudo-journalists acting as wanna be pundits are the fake news—and these media outlets openly have it out for him. Keep up the great work Drudge!!

As a simple news aggregator, Drudge has always been great. Up till recently one of the most unbiased sources for the latest headlines.
But over the last few weeks, Drudge has only been pushing the Impeachment narrative. While the impeachment effort is news worthy, Drudge has failed to show proper balance on the topic. I believe Drudge is now compromised. Choosing money over balance. This change has been noticed by many.
If you want a better rating from me, you’ll have to demonstrate balance.
If not, I’ll change from 2 stars to 1 and update my review accordingly.

Very disappointed in the Trump bashing I’m seeing nowadays on Drudge. I have been a faithful daily reader now for over 4 years, and am very disappointed in the shift away from the right. Please reconsider this shift Mr. Drudge.

DrudgeReportOfficial is ok... when it works. As soon as I click on an article to read it, the screen goes black like it’s about to play an ad, then goes back to the article, then back to black, and back and forth, etc. It’s easier for me to read the articles in Safari. 🤦🏻‍♀️

I’m so disappointed in Drudge. I’ve been reading his page as my main source of news since the Blue Dress. Recently I’ve been searching the web as to why the sudden change over Trump. Apparently Mr Trumps counter attack on the left wing media and threats over losing credentials is the issue.
All I would say is be careful Mr Drudge There are a lot of Americans that believe our country is under attack from the left like no other time in our history. If we lose this election we may lose what’s left.
We are watching.

Safari is still a much better experience when it comes to the Drudge Report.

The added navigation features in DrudgeReportOfficial aren’t very helpful, the notification bar appears cut off at the top, which is awful in a way I’ve never seen, and there are too many annoying ads. Maybe if you really want the alerts, it might be worth it to you.

I’ve been following Drudge for many years now and something materially changed in his views over the past year, as if he was either extorted or was a wolf in sheep's clothing all along. His articles were heavily weighted in the Libertarian/ Conservative space and now it is heavy left-leaning. What happened to you Matt? What changed? Who is financing this? Nobody changes who they are or what they stand for that quickly. Absolutely disappointed. You were my go-to news source, but alas, no more.

I’ve always loved Drudge but hate DrudgeReportOfficial . It was more like a website with pop up adds. This current version is absolutely amazing. Finally the Drudge I was looking for - easy to read with great format!!!

The update is still bad. Please fix. I don't understand why you changed this. This terrible app will get few good reviews. DrudgeReportOfficial gets worse each update. Refreshes constantly. Go hire some decent programmers. DrudgeReportOfficial just keeps getting worse. I do not have to touch anything and it still jumps to app store. Update: still terrible and getting worse. I’m going to give you 5 stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ simply due to the fact it’s Drudge and it’s not TR (not a bad app, it satiated my interim needs). However, you really should offer some kind of font size “adjuster”. Not all of your readers are old conservatives with bad eyesight

I used to rely on the Drudge Report, like so many others, for alternative news articles that resonated with my reasoning. You simply couldn’t find major new outlets covering the same topics or challenging the news of the day from the main stream media. Now unfortunately, it seems as if Drudge too, has joined their ranks. No longer is this site a bastion of conservatism. It’s alienated its base recently and in doing so will lose its ‘subscribers’ to competition. I for one won’t be back.

Not sure when or why it happened, but Drudge Report used to be a place where you could get the conservative headlines and the leftist shock parallels evenly. Drudge Report in the past year gives off an air of “Never Trump” RINO’s. I don’t know if this is due to a chance of leadership or this has been done as a means for financial survival... but sadly, it’s no good anymore. More doom and gloom/Sky is falling headlines that is already in abundance everywhere else in the news spectrum.

Choppy, reloads half a dozen times while you’re in the middle of an article and have to scroll back down to where you left off. The old App from like a year or two ago was the same. Can’t believe it’s this bad.I love Drudge and getting my news from them but unless there’s a better version, im sticking with the POTUS timer app that offers it with a much better and reliable article reading experience with far less kinks.
