Is this malware?

I downloaded this app, installed and tried to print to my canon printer. Instead of printing it shuts off the printer then says the network connection has been lost.
I unplug the printer. Plug it back in turn it on and try to print it again but then it shuts off the printer again. Either this app is malware or the printer has been hacked.
Not loading and unable to access app help

I’ve used this premium version of the app for many years and just recently in the last month or so I have not been able to print anything. Loading the app gets me no icon operators to make choices within the app. I’ve deleted and reinstalled the app without any success. When I tried to send a ticket I receive a 404 error message. Please advise and help me continue to enjoy this app. Thank you.
Won't recognize new printer

Had this app for a while and it worked great. Bought a new Epson printer and the app can't see it. Shows up on network scan so I know it's alive. Tried manually adding but to no avail. Out of ideas. Disappointed, as I really found app useful previously.
