I have never paid for a subscription to a wallpaper app in my life and will never do so. I understand expenses which is why the app is add driven. That should be enough. Especially if you were offering a one time purchase to remove the ads. Perhaps the revenue from this model was not enough, yet in your infinite wisdom, you believe people will pay 50 dollars a year for content that is readily available for free with a simple google search. Had you had artists offering their creations, then you may be on to something with a subscription. Your expenses are not anyone else's concern. You offer nothing more than any other wallpaper app. All your content is free in other apps. You don’t seem to understand this. But you will. Your app has been deleted, and you won’t bamboozle a penny out of me.

I used to like this app. Hadn’t tried it for a while and went to open it. All of a sudden there’s some woman’s voice loudly blabbering about subscriptions. I’m in a quiet place, so thanks Kappboom! I don’t want subscriptions, don’t want the noise, don’t want the taptic engine pinging away! I feel like I’ve been ambushed and I press a “continue button” to try to get the hell out and back to the normal app. But -- POOF! I’M SUBSCRIBED! And after a short free trial I’d be charged $50!!!. Yeah I should have paid more attention but you know what Kappboom? You knew exactly what you were doing, hoping to sucker people who’ve become accustomed to your app. Being unethical to put it mildly. I’ve cancelled the bogus subscription, removed your app, and filed a complaint with Apple. Lowest possible rating.

One of the first apps I downloaded and paid for years ago. Now there is a pay wall because they were not making money. They claimed they were losing "millions". Well, that was Kappboom's choice to continue year after year and lose millions, whoever did you even continue? Is that something we knew about when we bought the app? So now you come in, steal what we bought because there was ONLY ONE CHOICE at the time and give us a sob story. You're retroactively blaming us for a choice we weren't even given. We should be grandfathered in pure and simple. 10 bucks a month? That's an overreach.
