Paid for this app years ago when it was just starting out on the app store. Always had access to full step-by-step solutions, as detailed in the description for the [then] paid version. Recently updated and got downgraded to basic privileges. What a slimy thing to do, the developers have no respect for those who helped get them off their feet. Since they replied to another review saying the same thing, let me say this to the devs: I will change my review back to 5 stars if you *choose* to make things right. If my review is still 1 star while reading this, then steer clear of the subscription and just use the free version — I paid and got downgraded anyways, so you might too. 100% comes back down to greedy devs, do better. I’ll bet my bottom dollar they’ll ignore this review too. So disappointed

Searching with this app should render some great results based on what Wolfram Alpha's website states. Yet, it is not easy to search for information or get results that help to enhance my life. It seems like it requires a certain way to speak to it, in order to get a certain usefulness. While that may seem great for certain cases, putting the customer at the center of the product's usefulness will greatly enhance its reach and potential. I feel there is some real limits with this app. Especially with the inability to get detailed information using Siri and from Apple Watch. The app just isn't intended to provide a usefulness. You would think that chatbots would help to make the user experience even easier. But that may point to the lack of the company's willingness to play with creative ideas in expanding its usefulness.

I would have give this app 5-star a couple months ago. However, I was only able to give it 2 (I originally want to give it 1, but at the mercy that it helped me a lot in the past). I paid for this app many years ago as it can request longer computation time and show step-by-step solution than the web version. However, this additional feature is curtailed after a recent update, and there is practically little difference of using this app now and the web version (maybe the UI is a little bit cleaner and user friendly, but remember this is a paid app, and now you have to pay for the subscription to use those features as you do with the web version). If this app is not for free, PLEASE DON’T BUY IT !!! Use the web version and it doesn’t cost you anything, your one-time payment makes no difference. If this is app is free, I would wish them to refund my money back, and I will probably give it a 4-star.
