My follow up to original review... Continues to be my most used app, but I'm getting discouraged. They've loaded up too much junk on system making it hard to navigate. Frustrated with nit being able to run my playlists with the sounds! If you run RelaxMelodiesP over your playlist, you get combined volume control, unlike RelaxMelodiesP music feature where you can set your music volume and your soothing noises volumes separately. There are too many little things going whacky. Too many crashes. Too many bugs. Recently, turned on app and found new format—and the auto upgrade deleted my music! They’ve never figured out that, if someone is a serious user, the music list will be long. Having no way to save the music, having to reinstall all after a crash or upgrade is just all wrong!!! I'm looking for something new and more user friendly.

First review: My most used app. Use it for daily relaxation and night time sound block. Wish there were more sounds to choose from. Wish there were sound controls on each page rather than having to return to Home page. Also wish volume control was separate from iTunes content cuz I often run water sounds or brown noise under soothing tunes.

I am so upset. I’ve been using the free app for years, then finally, a couple months ago I purched this in a bundle. LOVED it. But since the update a week ago, my favorites are gone, all the meditations that I loved are now requiring subscriptions (and if the developer thinks I’m gonna pay monthly for their app they’re insane.) I understand needing to make money, but subscriptions are a waste of money. I paid for RelaxMelodiesP, and I want it back the way it was. ***in response to developer’s response: you did not read my review. I had many of the meditations - for over a month - and all of my favorite mixes were saved, but with the update that all changed. I do not see how this has anything to do with subscribing. Yes, I get that you want me to subscribe to get the meditations now, but it didn’t used to be this way, and I am upset. I hesitate to even say this, cuz you’ll probably change it, but with another app in your bundle I still have access to many of the meditations, and my favorites are still there, just like RelaxMelodiesP used to be; I purchased it at the same time I purchased RelaxMelodiesP and I am not subscribed to it. So, something isn’t adding up.

Devastated that RelaxMelodiesP I paid for years ago and have loved so much is now crashing instantly when I try to open it; this happened immediately after the iOS 14.2 update. I’m devastated because I don’t have the cash to drop on an annual subscription for the other version of RelaxMelodiesP and I don’t want or need all the bells and whistles of the other app version. I’m very upset with this and feel like the developer is trying to push users away from what used to make Relax Melodies great - simplicity and affordability. I just want my sleep sounds back. I can’t even migrate my mixes from RelaxMelodiesP to the other one - that’s absolutely unacceptable in my book. I paid for those mixes I made when I paid for this version of RelaxMelodiesP ; I don’t want to lose them or have to pay for a subscription to be able to remake them. Very upset with the developers over these shenanigans!

Updated review: I used to love RelaxMelodiesP and use it every night, but when I got a new iPhone and I had to reset RelaxMelodiesP. It’s absolutely horrible now. None of the sounds that I’ve repeatedly made save, NEVER. Once RelaxMelodiesP closes, I have to recreate every single sound. Also, if you paid for premium to get the meditations back in the day, DONT UPDATE RelaxMelodiesP ! They now make meditations only available for subscription, which is a total rip off, when you’ve already paid for the premium version of RelaxMelodiesP . Overall, you’d probably be best looking elsewhere.

Original Review: I love RelaxMelodiesP, it has essentially every sound you can think of, that's relaxing and soothing. I can't sleep without it. You can set an alarm on it, so it goes off on its own or set an alarm for it to turn on. Either way, if you're an individual that likes to sleep to nature-like/relaxing/zen-like/soothing sounds, RelaxMelodiesP is for you!

I am very happy with the options available on RelaxMelodiesP. The interface of choosing them is visually good, with the golden icons with symbols, but a couple of suggestions: 1- when a sound is chosen, the icon changes from golden to yellow. That slight contrast is too subtle when searching it out to discontinue that sound. 2- it would be nice to have a listing of running sounds, to avoid scrolling all icons to find the one you want to alter or discontinue. ( which, honestly may exist and I just haven’t found it?)
The selection of sounds is nicely varied and I have found options I like very much, and having the option to mix them is great.
Overall, I am satisfied with RelaxMelodiesP and I would recommend it

Can't sign in to save your mixes from one device to another. Very archaic in that sense. A person works hard to create what they deem as little masterpieces and it's all gone when the phone leaves you. Should be able to sign in. Can't adjust the volume of each sound without the complete sound needing to be turned off first then back on again to which the volume appears then disappears fast. Over all great experience. Possibly too nice only to find its short lived and proprietary to that device. I just can fully commit my love and heart to apps that don't let you sign in so they can save your time and effort for a lifetime. I'm really sick of starting over my entire mix library. I now rarely use RelaxMelodiesP because it's caused me commitment issues because it's only a matter of time what you must say goodbye to all your hard work for you now want to upgrade ur phone and now you will have to restart all over. No thanks, thus timing is timing one can never get back and it's meticulous adjust every sound to the right mediation. You really never wanna do it again nor can you remotely remember the million matriculations it took to get the mix. All hard work inevitably down the drain in time. I hate that :(

Update: Still love RelaxMelodiesP as a white noise aid, but the push for the subscription stuff is kind of off-putting, especially since I’ve already paid for RelaxMelodiesP itself. Is the base app free now, or something? I’m pretty sure it hasn’t taken away access to any of my sounds, but sometimes the phrasing makes it seem like it has or will? Mostly seems like it’s for the mediation access, which I don’t use. But the interface & sample collection is still nice!

I love RelaxMelodiesP. It has a nice mix of sounds & definitely helps me sleep. Very soothing. I do kind of wish it had a better interface for adjusting the volume for the individual sounds, but it's otherwise fantastic.

RelaxMelodiesP has been a QUALITY OF LIFE SAVER for me!!! I use it fo background sounds so my misophonia (hatred of sounds) doesn’t get triggered when I’m out running errands or simply hanging with friends... I can’t leave home without it as my misophonia is that bad (AGAIN, BIG TIME QUALITY OF LIFE SAVER!!!); I even used it to calm my ULTRA SCARED OF LITERALLY EVERYTHING AND EVERYBODY cat at the vet’s (😺👍 RelaxMelodiesP gets two furry thumbs up from her too); I use it to sleep at night or on planes(works like a charm); and I’ll be using it as sound effects in iMovie in the future!!! I use RelaxMelodiesP so much that I put it on all of my devices and have already recommended it to a ton of people and plan on recommending it to even more!!

I had just recently updated to a new phone and ended up somehow getting the more social media’d version. Eeep. Imagine my dismay , but then I remembered to check my iTunes purchase receipts and lo, there it was.. from all those years ago (2012). This version, stripped of the add-ons for sharing every mix, is perfect. As a sleep app, the sounds are capable of being blended to make the perfect audio sleep environment tailorwd for your personal tastes. The UI is freshened up and the binaural tones a nice addition. More than anything, it is a stanble, fully matured app and presents as such. I have used this for work and sleep since I bought it 6 years ago and in that time it hasn’t gotten old. Thanks for making such a great app/program.

We call RelaxMelodiesP baby crack because it has literally knocked out my two of my three kids when they are newborn and to one years old. It continues to work. I say two out of three only because I didn't have RelaxMelodiesP with my first. I used it to put my third newborn to sleep second day in the hospital so the photographer could take his picture and like magic it worked! The photographer was shocked. It became a conversation starter when walking through the store with it playing people asked me if there was water running? Lol I suggest different levels of rain, ocean waves, slow waves, and maybe the orchestra or melody. My husband and I also sleep with the sounds at night. I love RelaxMelodiesP and its definitely worth the money for the extra sounds and RelaxMelodiesP running in the background while you are in another app. Especially us momma's who multi-task. As I write this my little one is actually falling asleep to the sounds next to me. Don't be a cotton headed ninny muggin' and buy RelaxMelodiesP . 😜

About the updated version: if the bug is making RelaxMelodiesP crash, just erase it and download it again. It won't affect your paid status and will work without a glitch. Great updates. The graphics and navigation is better.
The quality of the sounds is top notch and the variety makes it really versatile. I got it for my baby and use it for me also. The mixes transform any room in a different environment, feel outdoors, or in a meditative mood, day or night. It's great. Awesome for meditation and helping to sleep. No complains. Agree with having more packages for purchase as a good idea.

RelaxMelodiesP is amazing! I occasionally use various sounds for white noise when I sleep, but primarily I use it as a concentration aid when studying for my classes in graduate school (I'm working toward a PhD). The binaural beats are fantastic - it's incredible to see how much easier it is to focus and how much more I can remember when I study with RelaxMelodiesP than when I study without it.

However, I took one star off because every time RelaxMelodiesP updates it deletes every combination of sounds that I’ve created. It’s really frustrating to have to recreate them.

Update: I deleted RelaxMelodiesP and re-downloaded it, and it’s no longer deleting my mixes!

It just needs an alarm clock to be added! That is my only gripe, that I want to be able to use it to fall asleep to at night, but there's only a timer/alarm setting, which the longest time is just 2 hrs! PLEASE PLEASE make it so I can customize it to alarm when it's time to get up for work! I would be SO happy!! This would be the BEST sleep app hands down, in my opinion, but unfortunately only good for a nap, which I'm too busy to ever have time to nap!

OMG.. my dream has finally come true!! Thank you so much to the devs for the update with the alarm and clock added!! This is now the BEST in my opinion!

The only trouble I'm having is that I can't figure out if there's a way to switch to the 12hr clock format rather than 24hr (ie: military time). Maybe I'm just a dummy, and the option is there somewhere, so if anyone knows, PLEASE clue me in!

I love the update! Thank you, developers, thank you so much for this awesome app!! To me, this is SO worth the $3.99 price tag!

P.S. I also preferred the old icon with the moon, but it's all good!

Use it for things I never thought I would. I used to wake up in the middle of the night and have trouble going down again. Use relaxing noises and combine with a binaural and I'm down before I know it - maybe it just helps me relax but who cares why it works. Also use it to read when focus is required on the always busy NYC subway. Binaural for concentration drowns out details of people's voices and lets me 'hear myself think'. I almost feel like I come up with ideas more when hearing that binaural - but maybe that's BS. Anyway, I'd hate to complain about too many options, but who can go through all these sounds to find out what they all do? I like that I don’t have to because I can save my favorite combinations. I haven’t done much with the meditation as I have other apps for that but it’s nice that they have that option.

I use this twice daily for my meditation. I love the "fade in" and "fade out" features as well as the "stop sounds" feature. This allows me to have a gentle, soft alarm fade in at the end of meditation and then play for a couple of minutes while I "come back up". Then, the music fades out & stops when it is time for me to open my eyes. Could not be a more perfect app for doing meditation! Also I love that they keep adding new sounds. The new "Sweet Hour Prayer" is absolutely beautiful!! I am updating this review to check out to new sounds which I am anxious to hear and I’m sure will be beautiful. This is several years later and I still love RelaxMelodiesP and could not do without it!

I originally downloaded the free version of RelaxMelodiesP back when I had an iphone 3G, so about 6 years ago. I used it very frequently and loved all the sounds it came with. Eventually, I decided to upgrade to the paid version and it was worth it. I've been using RelaxMelodiesP for over 5 years now. Beautiful sounds, and I love that the timer feature can automatically stop the sounds so I dont have to worry about wasting my battery. I love being able to listen to the isochronic tones without the headphones, so I can still get the relaxing soundwaves without worrying about falling asleep with headphones on. RelaxMelodiesP interface is beautiful, and RelaxMelodiesP overall is wonderful.

I've been using RelaxMelodiesP for years now & would not want to do without it. At home it helps me tune out my husband's snoring and the noise the pets make during the night. It's even more necessary when I travel--blocking out all the strange noises in hotel rooms. I knew I couldn't live without when I travel but didn't realize how much I've come to depend on it daily. It got buggy with a recent update & would crash every time I hit play. My husband put in some white noise from a different app that he has, but it wasn't a rich enough sound to mask that of his snoring, and I ended up not getting much good sleep. The next day I reinstalled RelaxMelodiesP & it's back to working wonderfully to give me a good night's sleep. Love it!

Guaranteed to help you sleep, relax, concentrate, etc. Whatever it is you need, RelaxMelodiesP can help further that. I have an extremely hard time sleeping and settling down before bed but RelaxMelodiesP offers lots of sounds to accommodate my mood and gets me relaxed before falling asleep. The isochronic tones help increase a better more comfortable deep sleep for me. I noticed change in my sleep within the first use. Just choose the best sounds for you. Choose a selection that won't irritate you after too long and make sure to adjust volume and use the isochronic tones offered. Definitely will to help. Helped me majorly. I don't go to bed anymore without using my sounds. It's become a helpful habit. Also good for concentration during homework or sluggish days.

I love RelaxMelodiesP and I use it every day. It has a huge selection of sounds that are very relaxing. The sounds are high quality & don't sound loopy, and the interface gives its users great control over mixing and matching their own preference of soundscapes. I love that. And you can save your favorite mixes. I also like that they continue to add new sounds & features with their updates, so RelaxMelodiesP just keeps expanding and getting better which is fairly rare for a lot of apps these days; they just do one thing, but RelaxMelodiesP keeps growing.

So many things I love about RelaxMelodiesP. I highly recommend buying the premium version. It's totally worth it, it's a high quality app. It even has guided meditation now

- sometimes the Alram clock will not work for me. yikes! That's dangerous, so I just stopped using the alarm feature, which is a bummer because they have really great, gentle sounds to wake up to. But on the upside, they updated RelaxMelodiesP to mute when the iOS alarm clock rings, and when u hit snooze, RelaxMelodiesP unmutes and continues your sounds. That's great. Buy RelaxMelodiesP. Worth it!

I love that I can change my sound combinations & configurations, down to volume of each sound component! I use it every single night to go to sleep. I've used it to relax on plane rides. Even to power nap over lunch or while getting a massage. At night, I turn it on and set the timer for an hour. Never once have I made it through the entire hour before falling fast asleep. I love the binary options, but it's a bit odd when not using with headphones as you can hear the ticking. Other than that, I swear I couldn't live without it at this point. Even helps my brain drown out the hubby's horrific snoring!
