Zabihah: Original Halal finder Reviews

I’ve had Zabihah for years. I used it frequently and have even added new places on occasion. Now I cannot log in (tells me wrong user name/password), cannot save( because I cannot log on). Tried to reset password via e-mail (button does not work). Very frustrating - please fix. Jazakallah Khair

Zabihah is disappointing. They have restaurants in my area that have been shut down for over 5 years still on Zabihah . Which tells me nothing is done with Zabihah. The restaurants that do still exist that are on here are also misleading because they are NOT halal/this app. Very disappointed with Zabihah

I love using Zabihah I just wish they would invest more money to update it and get rid of the glitches

Great help to find halal places in new cities. Only thing they do not delete closed restaurants. So always call before you visit.

The new version of Zabihah is terrible in my opinion, slow to load, difficult to navigate, and constantly crashes. Last version was much more reliable.

I’m a big supporter of this app but this new app makes it very difficult.

I used to find good places with Zabihah but 40% of the places I try to find on google maps indicate they are permanently closed.

Its a great application. Thank you too much. Actually I use Zabihah weakly to find where is the halal markets or restaurants.

I use Zabihah whenever I’m traveling and looking for Muslim shops around.

Zabihah is outdated. There was a time when Zabihah was great and I used it frequently but now it’s no use. I can’t even add in halal places that are not listed in Zabihah . Zabihah isn’t what it used to be

Incorrect information on Zabihah Non this app Halal restaurants is listed in Zabihah one among them is kabob zone , Mehzeh etc in Woodbridge virginia . Please provide accurate information peoples faith is more important.

Alhamdulillah Zabihah is good. There is more mosques, markets, and restaurants that Zabihah doesn't show listed. Also there is many outdated and closed places that r no longer in business or not even Halal. One thing that would be great is if we were able to upload pictures. Also maybe be able to respond to others reviews , and chat with other members. More people need to join and write reviews. I like it! Good job 👍

From the moment we walked in, all the employees were very hospitable. The restaurant was super clean as well as the bathrooms, we came in on a weekday about an hour before they were to close, but they were very polite and helpful in recommending great dishes. They have a variety of things and we got the chicken tikka and gola kabob along with chapati and naan and also some chicken biryani. Everything came out in a timely manner, and they even gave us complimentary salad and pakoray. The prices were definitely very affordable! Very friendly service.

A great and needed updated, but 2 issues I have with it:
1) In the old app, you could adjust how many milage (example: 5, 10, 20, 50 miles) you were from a location. Now that it has been removed for Zabihah , I wish you will bring it back.
2) Also in the old app, you were able to type in a city and it would show you the halal restaurants of the city (regardless of your current location). Now there's no way to see that.

Other than that, I like how much cleaner the pages are and how Zabihah even has a trending and favorite section now.

They messed this great app to a point it has become unusable. I used to love Zabihah and now it’s painfully slow. Now, it takes forever to load restaurants and worse is it doesn’t even cache. So if I click on a restaurant and then go back, it reloads the whole thing. I mean who sends a server request every time like this? I can’t filter by cuisine, I can’t filter or sort by rating. I used to be one of the proponents of Zabihah and now I hardly use it. I just search halal in google maps. I hope they take this feedback seriously and fix it. Seriously if they kill the whole upgrade and roll back to the old format, it will be so much better than this.

Attention Halal Eaters! Zabihah can’t be trusted as of now because whenever I use it takes me to a grocery and or a restaurant that does serve or sell halal foods. That’s is disgusting!

Developers! I received your email. Still there is no option/setting to exclude non-halal from the search. Please add this feature (I’m not sure if I need to be logged in in order to be able the exclusion setting) I WILL GIVE YOU 5* AFTER YOU MAKE THIS FEATURE READILY AVAILABLE. MAY ALLAAH REWARD YOU

Attention Developers: this is a great idea but Zabihah is not doing what it was suppose to do (To show just halal foods). Please remove the non-Halal sources from your halal database. May Allaah grant you JANNAH “paradise” if you do that.

ASA, great update, especially the current dot release! When non-Muslims ask me where to eat for halal, or fresh halal markets, I recommend them to use “Muslim Yelp” - this app! :) I would LOVE to see filtered views that apply to list/map. In particular, an “Open Now” filter is very helpful. I’m the current release, I have to click into each individual listing and see hours. Very inconvenient..

In new version you're not able to put in the location you anticipate to be in. Rather it just assumes you want to find places that are close by to your CURRENT location (based on GPS). No, I want to be able to enter the location that I will be in the future, and have Zabihah find places close to that place. You could do that on old app. Also the masjid finder tab crashes when I press it. Fix those 2 issues and it's 5 stars. JazakAllah for your guys' efforts.
