Best Prayer Book Ever!!!

I used to buy the Pieta Book by the case to give out to friends and family and to leave in the church Narthex for other parishioners, but when I got poor, I had to stop that practice. iPieta is even better than the book!!! I have loved it for as long as it’s been available (and the Pieta Book for over a quarter century)!!! It may seem a tad expensive for an app, but I assure you it is well worth every penny!!! God willing I’ll get caught up financially someday and be able to distribute the book again. I promise you... iPieta is the best if you want a more prayerful life!!! Those who feel they’ve been overlooked by the Lord...try some of the prayers iPieta has to offer. I can honestly say I have seen the workings of Our Lord in my life as a result of the prayers in iPieta. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed!!! Pay particular attention to the prayers of St Bridget and the promises attached!!!! May God Bless you all!!!

Put your faith in your pocket.

I never read the Bible but iPieta takes care of that by allowing you to make use of it wherever you are. I went to iPieta tonight while searching for comfort and understanding about my daughter who is suffering from severe depression. With iPieta, support of your faith is on demand. I should only use it more.

In this world where fewer people practice their faith and modern culture is influencing values, I believe the lord works in ways like iPieta to reach out to us. Never before has any kind of information been so accessible. There’s even an app called Mass Times which makes finding a church and mass easy wherever you are in the world!

As a side note, I am editing this review after writing the first paragraph over a year ago. When I looked up iPieta to send to my daughter, I had forgotten I wrote that review. It’s well over a year and many prayers later that I write this updated review with the blessed news that my daughter is doing well after deciding to seek help. When I learned that she is praying daily, I thought that I’d send her iPieta to help her.

Her recovery has strengthened my faith for which iPieta has been such a convenient help. With all my heart I believe my prayers have been answered and for that I am forever grateful.

The lord certainly works in mysterious ways!

A must have for every Catholic

This is simply the best app that I have installed on my phone by a long shot. The resources it contains seems unending. Complete bibles, bible commentaries, libraries from the great doctors of the church, important documents from papal authorities, a large selection of prayers, daily mass readings, etc... There are reminders and search tools that can be utilized to help with your prayer life. They are actively improving iPieta to provide more content and features with each update, as well as keeping up with the changes in iOS versions.

A must-have Catholic app

I have had iPieta for years and when I first got it I gave it five stars. And in that time they have improved it and added features several times. It's even better than ever now with the newest update. You can tell this wasn't just a project for them. This was a work of love. There are so many resources available on iPieta that I can't going to all of them here. I use iPieta every single day.

DEO GRATIAS

iPieta has been a true resource for me. I love the breadth of the sources listed here, many which span back to a pre-Vatican II understanding of the world and the soul—a topic we are not hearing preached about much anymore. iPieta changes that! It gets you fired up and inspired to live the Faith; to fight the good fight; to STRIVE for perfection daily. God bless the developers ten, twenty and hundredfold for their labor of love that is, no doubt, saving an untold number of souls.

I just want to add a few suggestions, though:

1. Please consider adding a few biographies of the saints—particularly, St. Dominic and St. Francis of Assisi.

2. Also consider adding some resources about the Church’s various religious orders—like their Rules of Life and such.

Once again, thank you! I can’t wait to see where iPieta takes me on the spiritual journey!

Favorite Catholic App

I LOVE iPieta! iPieta contains such a variety of prayers and with audio versions! The calender is great too because it has the option of switching views from Novus Ordo to Latin and others. iPieta has so much information packed within it that I tend to find something new quite often. This is the best and I am so thankful to the people who created and maintain it. God bless you!

Simply Awesome!

Your one-stop resource for everything Catholic. How can so much material be placed into one app? Endless prayers, daily missal customized to your liking, complete theological writings from throughout the ages. It even provides Latin lessons, tests and vocabulary quizzes. What does iPieta not do? I haven’t found that yet. An absolute must for any serious-minded Catholic!

Good app, but be wary

This is a good app with a large repository of prayers and Church documents available. However, if you are scrolling through the prayers, be careful, because there are some that are spurious and unapproved by the Church. E.g. the promises attached to the St. Bridget 1-year prayers are not actually approved, even though the prayers themselves are. Also there is a prayer which is purported to save someone from damnation if you pray it over them while they are dying, sounds kinda sketchy. Lots of good stuff in iPieta, but also some questionable stuff.

Best Catholic App I’ve seen

Has everything. Basically an encyclopedia of prayers, devotions, and Catholic teachings. So much content can be difficult to navigate. But be patient. You’ll get used to it. Bottom line is iPieta has deepened my prayer life, and helped me be a more devoted father, husband and centered me on being and living according to what God intended for me.

Just excellent !!

There is much more information on iPieta than I will ever be able to use in my lifetime.

Right now, I primarily use it to enhance and support my daily prayer life, making a list of traditional prayers which appeal to me.

I have also looked up some Church documents, such as the encyclical by Pope Leo XIII criticizing the “crafty agitators” of aggressive advocates of socialism but encouraging the formation of Christian worker unions to protect workers against the exploitation of the wealthy unrestrained capitalists. I have also delved a bit into the extensive library of Catholic writers ranging from antiquity to American Cardinal James Gibbons.

Amazing Content

UPDATE: Beyond just a treasure trove of content, I love the developer is always taking advantage of new os features ( watch integration, dark mode, split screen). Well done!

The amount of content is breathtaking. From papal encyclicals to writings of the saints. From the Douay-Rheims Bible to a treasure trove of prayers, iPieta is the best $2.99 (at the time I bought it), one can spend.

God’s speed dial

iPieta is like a speed dial to God. I start with the gospels of each day and motor to special prayers depending on where I am and what I’m doing. I feel with iPieta I have a valuable priceless tool that helps keep my faith vibrant and accessible at any time anywhere. Thank you developers!

App Is Fantastic

iPieta has been great, allowing me to really grow in my faith. I love the DRA bible as well. The prayers and books are well listed. I do sometimes wish you had the Msgr. Knox translation available, but all in all, a wonder app every catholic should have

Little hard to Nav at first, but so worth it.

This is a great prayer book app.
You can even input and keep your own personal prayers on it.
I just wish the Apple iWatch app work better. I can never get my personal prayers on that. So I gave it a 4 star instead of 5 for that reason.

Great quality of life

Having it on a phone was already good enough, but the multi bookmark feature and the automatic page position retention is what drove me to give a 5 star review

Wonderful!

I’ve always loved the Pieta prayer book and this makes the prayers much easier to read for me. iPieta has so much content. I’m glad I came across it! Thank you.

Priceless

iPieta is a priceless resource for daily prayer, reading, and contemplation. I use it constantly on both my iPhone and iPad and endorse it heartily. Dip your toe in, or set out into the deep; either way, iPieta will help you grow in faith and love.

Must have for every traditional Catholic

Please make an update for audio version on the Old Testament.

Thank you for all the audio option so far

Must have for Catholics

I rarely ever write review, but iPieta is phenomenal. The calendar section has readings for BOTH Novus Ordo and traditional Latin mass goers like myself. Not to mention an entire library of writings from saints and pipes which could easily cost 10,000$ in total. On top of that you get a Bible app, a list of prayers, etc.

I would easily pay 20$ for iPieta and yet it comes for FREE. A steal of a deal!!!
