Content Good, App is Garbage

Just clicked a notification to read a local news story. The app opened and immediately forced me into a non-dismissible video ad that took multiple attempts to close even after it was done. About half way through reading the article (30 seconds later), the same video ad barged in again and again the close button had no effect on it. Terminated the app and deleted it.
Aside from this sort of behavior, your app’s main screen looks like one of those sleazy ad-stuffed pages with 100 page long slide shows about celebrity secrets or some other nonsense.
Fire whoever designed this app, throw it in the trash, create something worthy of your content.
New programming

Congratulations I think, to Eric Erickson, for inheriting Rush Limbaugh’s spot from 12 to 3 on WSB. I will certainly miss him on my drive home, I enjoyed his honesty, his knowledge of current events, and his program in general. I will not be listening to Mark Arum, I shudder to think of three hours of millennial match game! He is neither informative nor entertaining. I will miss the afternoon traffic reports because that is the time that I am driving home from work. But I can’t imagine 3 hours of Arum. But then how would he ever have time to prepare for a real informative show with substance, as he is the utility guy for all things on WSB radio and TV. Sorry if I offend, just my opinion.
Too many pop up ads!

I love to listen to WSB and have had the app for a few years now to stay informed on weather, traffic and breaking news. While the notifications for these things do work well, when I actually want to go into the app to read an article constant ads pop up full screen that I have to exit out of at least 3 or 4 times. I’m sure that if I accidentally clicked on the links for these ads they would lead me to spammy sites. In addition, the bottom of any article there are click bait ads for spam sites. There is no where for me to give feedback on this app either so I decided to write a review on the App Store. This is unprofessional for WSB in my opinion and I will be deleting the app. I shouldn’t feel like my fingers are walking on eggshells while I’m reading my local news.
