I have had this for awhile and it has been great until they added the ads to it. Now not only can you not turn off the ads which keep popping up but you can't get it to play the notes so that you can tune your guitar. Now it is totally useless and I went and got another app to do the same thing.

Remove the ads at the bottom, please! I’ll change my review after they are removed!
Cheap shot to out ads right where you’re gonna tap to move to the next string to tune.
Very annoying to tap the string only for the screen to go a website due to this..

Epic amounts of completely wasted screen space. Really small buttons to play the reference notes, placed at the very bottom edge of the screen right next to the click-to-activate ads. Never opened so many ads that I wasn’t interested in seeing. Plus, the reference note stops just about the time you get your fingers on the tuning knob.

GuitarTuner works well with just one minor downfall in my opinion. The notes do not sustain long enough for you to even accurately tune your string. If this feature could be improved it would make GuitarTuner one of the better ones out there. Every time I grab my guitar and press the note/string desired to tune the note quickly dies out. They should offer that or let the note auto-repeat somehow.

Have to hit each note 100 times while tuning bc it plays each one so short.

Well, GuitarTuner is not that bad. It's great for what it does. You can do all types of tuning, drop D, etc.
One gripe is that the tones don't resonate long enough. You get what you pay for, which is a basic guitar tuner.

I’m a pro player and this tuner works well. It’s quick and when I’m rushing (most of the time) I find it very accessible and useful. The ads don’t bother me. Some folks are complaining, ignore the ads that are at the bottom of the screen and don’t interfere with you striking a note at all.

Had GuitarTuner for a long time. Like it. Needs just one tweak -- as so many others have already noted -- longer note sustain. Too make tuning easier.

If it had a way to increase / decrease the note sustain, that would make it a truly 5-star winning app.

Wouldn't you like to have a tuner everywhere you go? Well if you always have your phone with you, you always have a tuner

GuitarTuner works well with VoiceOver. Be sure and use the split tap for faster response.

I have been using this tuner for quite some time, and I have had no complaints whatsoever up until the latest update. The only issue, be it menial regarding functionality, is that GuitarTuner can no longer be viewed in landscape screen mode. My tablet is always in landscape orientation, so this is a bit cumbersome having to reorient the tablet, physically, onto portrait mode, otherwise I have to use GuitarTuner sideways, which is not optimal and rather annoying. But, this is the only pitfall with the new update, so I will deal with the inconvenience. Cheers

It's a great app just wish that there was more sustain on each note when plucked for longer time

This is by far the best tuner I’ve ever used however my ear isn’t that well so if you could add a chromatic tuner that’ll be perfect

This is exactly what I needed!! Thank you! I wasn’t even sure what to ask for, I have quite a few guitar tuners but they all go from me plucking the string but I needed to be able to hear what the E string sounds like, then I can tune my guitar! Thanks again!! 5 star!!

This was easy to get & it's easy to use. I have another tuner app for chromatic tuning & key ID, but for simple guitar tuning, this has been really good. It's good for real beginners, too.

Wish it held the note out a second longer. Otherwise GuitarTuner is perfect.

In this day and age America should appreciate more and more of what a chairs together. An app like Guitar Tuner is like having a brand new set of hiking boots before you climb that mountain.I’m not saying that you’re going to get to the top of the mountain but least you got some help for free

Gotta have it. It's free and it's perfect. Anything else is either less or the same.
