This is a great dictionary app with an easy-to-use interface. My favorite part is keeping a list of fascinating words I come across with the “Bookmark” feature.

The only drawback? I couldn’t figure out a way to carry my bookmarks over onto my new phone. I just searched for them all manually on my new phone so I wouldn’t lose my list of fun words. YOLO, I guess? The feature is clearly important to me. Anyway, I highly recommend WordWebDictionary.

First, WordWebDictionary is great. I love the ability to configure how the results show up. It’s a fast, complete, and configurable dictionary. Great design, and thoughtful layout.

Moreover, browse the data privacy summaries for every other dictionary. Even the ones that charge you for a supposed ad free experience still collect all your info. No thanks.

Finally, what I consider a real dictionary. I was sad when Apple stopped including a dictionary app with new iPhones. I really liked the simplicity of that one.
Now this wonderful app comes along and is just amazing in its speed and utility. It starts up quickly, and easily links out to other reference sites to make lookups meaningful.
A big shout out and thank you to the developers for this.

Found this and tried, as the other free dictionary that I was using had too much clutter and annoying full page ad over & over...enough! Love Word Web for the above mentioned. Many thanks to the developer & keep up the good work! 😊

This is no doubt the best online dictionary i have used, and I used a lot. None of the others were as precise as this. Using it for 5 years, and no doubt will use it for more. Thanks to the developers and everyone involved.

Been using WordWeb for several years. Easy, great functionality and best of all comprehensive. The “web” part weaves synonyms, antonyms, similar words and more into every definition. Always keep to hand when reading older works (such as Mark Twain).

Looked for a long time for a App like this one. Am loving it.
Do recommend it. There is one- Small thing you (the developers )may want to ADD to WordWebDictionary is this.....
A way to “CLEAR “ words and their meanings after a while.
At least give the “Option” to do so.

WordWebDictionary is very helpful when I came across this just in one day I have learnt more from this than any other in my opinion this would definitely be the best preference for a dictionary learning app, I’ll happily give this a five star ratingl

Could you fix this bug (when you don’t allow auto-rotation in WordWebDictionary settings and if you open WordWebDictionary in landscape posture the screen would split { the keyboard is fine but the words and suggestions would not rotate}) ,please?

It’s a great dictionary.

So I recently switched phones and forgot what WordWebDictionary was called. I downloaded different dictionaries and they were all confusing. WordWebDictionary shows synonyms and opposites with the definition. The words are clear and not all over the place. It's simple and easy to use.

I’ve been using word web for years. I originally found out about them as part of a new creative writer’s guide to becoming a better writer during Nanowrimo 8 years ago. I would recommend to anyone whose ever wondered which dictionary/thesaurus app to use

A really good dictionary that doesn’t invade your privacy, that makes it the best to me. I know most people don’t value privacy and don’t mind being tracked, and don’t mind giving their contact information out, but I do!

Ap no longer behave the same in iOS 13. Doesn’t delete the search line so I end up accidentally typing gibberish. Also no night mode.

I make use of WordWebDictionary a lot. Just noticed that there is a button on the bottom right that presumably would say the word to understand pronunciation. But it does nothing.

Awesome app, I’ve used this for years to look up terms. It’s one I’ve always had on my phone from the beginning of apple smartphones

WordWebDictionary not only offers a wide range of services but it's also FREE. I can search obscure words with a system unique to this great dictionary with great ease. Anyhow, just as the title goes, splendid user experience. Recommended for everyone.

I was looking for an app to simply check the spelling of a word. Nothing fancy. I start keying in the word and options come up. As well as the definition. It is exactly what I was looking for. Very happy with WordWebDictionary. And it is FREE!

It’s solid.

In a pinch, you can double-tap the word being looked up and from there access the built in iOS dictionary via the copy/paste/lookup popup.

I have never found any app like a dictionary recently but this is the best app and also WordWebDictionary can be used in studies like English and many more subjects.

I use WordWebDictionary just about every day - it’s an invaluable aid for getting that one last crossword puzzle word that I am stuck on!
