Can't change from KPH TO MPH!!!!!

Heading always incorrect. Says West when I'm do East. Heading does not correct itself. Very inaccurate regarding speed cameras. App is for fun so don't rely on it. Want my money back. Another bogus apple app. And I have many none of which actually do what they claim to do.

Speed is accurate only when car is cruising at a constant velocity. Otherwise, you might as well guess your speed because by the time aSmartHUDSpeedCams updates it will have changed anyway. Accelerating? Forget it. Decelerating? Not a chance. A real HUD must update in near real-time to be useful, so the many seconds of lag on aSmartHUDSpeedCams ruin it. Wouldn't even rely on the readout while cruising, since I could lightly accelerate beyond the speed limit and it may not be evident on the HUD for 5-10 seconds! And of course, as others have posted, you can only see the display reflection in ideal (i.e. "dark") conditions.

The author has produced a pretty display, with entertaining information, but unfortunately that's all it is due to the lag times. Too bad. I miss having a HUD.

I like the idea of aSmartHUDSpeedCams. Unfortunately on my car the reflection comes off both the front and back surfaces of the windshield, and consequently I get a double image which is mostly unreadable. I would recommend you open something else on your iPhone and put it on your car dashboard at night to see if you also get a double image before you purchase this.

I'd also like to recommend for aSmartHUDSpeedCams Store generally that if there are multiple versions of an app with different features, that each app indicate that there are more versions. That way you don't end up buying one and then discovering that there are others by the same developer that would have better suited your needs, as with HUD and HUD+.

I would say aSmartHUDSpeedCams works fine. Worth 99 cents. Only thing I see is weather needs a local weather or zipcode enter this way we can choose what's shown. Also weather currently shows 1 day ahead of current day??? Like today is the Dec 26th, but weather is showing date as. Dec 27th. Not sure why this is. If this is changed will give 5 stars. Thanks for a good app keep up the refinement of stats and fix weather date. Thank you .

aSmartHUDSpeedCams is so worth your time and money. If you live in a locale that sports red light cameras, as I do, you'll be glad to have this cool little app. aSmartHUDSpeedCams is feature rich and I love the ability to use the "Head Up Display" feature while driving @ night. It's a marvel that I can posess this technology so inexpensively. Buy it.

While testing aSmartHUDSpeedCams, the speed it showed was always really close to my actual speed. The compass works very well, and i loved being warned of nearby cameras. It crashed a few times while messing with the settings, but a simple restart of my phone fixed that. Great app to have for your car for only a buck.

I was amazed of how you point your iphone toward your windshield and be able to see the reflection of the dashboard app from the iphone. Very nice information given and I like the ability of being notified of your speed and red-light cameras. One other thing that I like in aSmartHUDSpeedCams is the ability to see your idle time when stuck in traffic. This is missing on most Iphone navigation software.

Simple app that performs well. Good attention to detail providing basic functions and good thought to customization. Good layout and easy to use. I definitely appreciated the large icons for the iTunes music functionality. I Always feel that's a key feature to enable you to keep your eyes on the road and distracted by fumbling with controls.

This is my first ever app review. I'm 5 minutes into using aSmartHUDSpeedCams and I really like it! First off about some of the negative reviews I have read A: it's not a game!! B: while it seems that it was originally developed for use in Europe, it does now have mph and Fahrenheit settings C: most cars will have a double reflection of the image, this is because the windshield glass was not set up to use a HUD (mine is minimal and acceptable at $.99)
A few improvements could be achieved by making the weather data more location acurate and maybe instead of audible tones use a voice intigration?
I recommend spending $.99 on this, maybe get one of those non-slide dash mats at the gas station, put on your seat belt and enjoy!

Not having a compass or outside temperature gauge built into my car, HUD+ takes care of all my traveling needs except for paying for the gas. With temperature, altitude, MPH, compass, traffic cam alerts, weather and of course a clock, aSmartHUDSpeedCams does everything it claims it can do plus it gives you plenty of controls to fine-tune the settings to your liking. The HUD display works better at night-time but the result is fantastic!

Really nice tool for all drivers! What i especially like - switching my music without changing aSmartHUDSpeedCams .
Not all features are easy to find, so I recommend to visit developer's website - there are some additional additional instructions there (like how to add custom camera etc).
I have also other app by same developer - aSmart HUD MAPS USA, and it's also mazing app, but includes the onboard map and take 2 GB of memory! This one is of different kind - small and still capable of doing a lot. Great package of features for small price!

Let me say, right off, that the logic behind aSmartHUDSpeedCams is genius. The ability to flip the display around and place your iPhone on the dashboard and see it's reflection as a heads up display is genius. There are lots of great options you can tweak to tailor this to your own preference, but the sheer ability to have a HUD in you car is great. This works fantastic. Well worth the money.

This is a great utility app while visiting metro cities without your own vehicle! My in-dash GPS warns me before I approach a red light camera so I can be cautious! I was in a unfamiliar city with a rental, and my iPhone basically came in handy once again! The graphics are awesome! It even shows the weather and direction. I was feeling like I was driving in the new Mercedes with the HUD running on the windshield, and I had a lot of people watching my windshield at the red lights with amazement. Also, I am excited that the magnetometer option was added finally for the 3GS users! You can't beat the $.99 price tag!

This is pretty smart app, i can imagine the amount of work developer invested into this. I would especially recommend the "jet" layout - as clear and easy to read and "Glow sciFi" for its amazing look.

Could be nice if aSmartHUDSpeedCams would record the video of what happens on the road by request ! That would make it just perfect for me!

This application is very interesting with all the things it can do!
Keep track of where you are how fast your going, allows you to play music from your phones files,
lets you know where traffic and speed cameras are, its just incredible the amount of things it can tell you!

I almost didn't buy aSmartHUDSpeedCams after all the negative reviews but I'm glad I did. It works just fine I switched it from km to mph in about five seconds and it works like a charm. Only issue is if your windshield is dirty it will good up the display a bit.

This is a terrific little app, and gives me the realtime information missing from my own separate GPS unit. The HUD feature is really terrific, too. Now if he could just finish the job and let us set the speed limit screen in the desired units (mph) instead of kph.

This may be the most value packed app I have ever paid for. I had to take a leap of faith cause it's not free, but it was a great move. This works great! The only issue I have is it needs to see the sky. Of course it does it's running from sat data. The speed cam part is great too. So far it already knows the Prior lights I am aware of in Portland Oregon. I added one to the database too. I had no idea this was even available so when I found it, the reviews helped me make a cool choice. I seen some reviews that said it freezes but they must not have spent any time familiarizing themselves with it. You can set it to MPH or KMH standard or metric. For some reason the sound did not work at first but it's good now. I am not getting weather on it but I probably just need to read about it more. aSmartHUDSpeedCams is totally worth 99 cents. Keep an eye on your battery. It's a hungry app that way.

Everything works perfectly as far as I can tell. Displayed speed is always within 1 or 2 mph of what my spedometer reads, and the compas headings seem right. I don't live near any speed cameras, so I haven't been able to test that out yet.
