NIV Bible App + Reviews

I truly love NIVBibleApp. I don’t typically provide reviews because I don’t use many apps on my iPhone or iPad, but this one is great. I love that I can find the Bible version AND ALL of the Bible commentaries I use in this one app. Besides the fact that I can carry all the books with me (Bible & commentaries would fill a large backpack), my favorite feature is that I can read scripture and have the commentary together on the same page with split-screen. I also love the free Bible study plans & devotionals available right within NIVBibleApp . I can setup an alert to remind me its time to pray where my plan left off.

I use an primarily use an iPad Pro circa 2018 (but also an iPhone 8) and haven’t found any bugs or annoying flaws.

I have been using the Olive Tree app for several years now and find it to be an essential tool in my daily Bible studies. I love the ability to keep my notes directly in NIVBibleApp , quickly jump to relevant references and sync the Bible reading with commentary books. I also have used the daily reading feature to walk me through reading the Bible end to end and it makes it so easy to keep track of your progress. The library is extensive as well, and I’ve found myself purchasing a lot more great books than I thought I would when I first started.

Highly recommend NIVBibleApp for anyone looking to strengthen their relationship with God!

I have been using NIVBibleApp extensively for years. I can make notations complete with tags, highlight text, and easily copy text to a document for other uses. Instead of sitting with a number of resources all around me, everything I need is here at my fingertips. With the Complete Word Study Bible I can see the meanings of words in the original text. The Resource Center features are great for more in-depth study, and the number of resources, including books by authors such as Francis Chan, available allows the accumulation of quite a library. It has all my resources keyed to the text I am currently reading. I can even have a second version (I have several) displayed for a parallel Bible experience.

I accepted Jesus 1977 and my church in the Philippines supply this “Our Daily Bread” devotional pamphlet and I read it daily. I migrated in the United States 1987 and still reading it from from my church in Virginia Beach. When you stopped distributing the “Our Daily Bread” and started the on line devotional reading… I’ve received it on my email and until now. Then I have also uploaded ur site..
Thank you for supplying all our needs for our daily lives… We need it to guide our spiritual needs. Praying for your continuously supporting our daily needs. God bless you all…

I have been using NIVBibleApp for several years and for the most part enjoy it. However, the highlight option is difficult to use. I like to mark verses that stand out to me in the same way I would underline in my Bible. When I try to select multiple lines, it grabs columns instead. I have to reverse select, which occasionally works, but not always. And the removal of highlights is even more cumbersome. This tool needs some attention and could be more useful than it currently is. Overall, I am pleased to have the Bible accessible to me at all times, and appreciate the opportunity to have NIVBibleApp.

By reading the Psalms encourages you and helps you to praise God in the mist of any situations that life gives. Proverbs is wisdom for everyday living. If you have any questions about am I doing the correct thing check Proverbs. My favorite is Proverbs 15;1 (read it & live it). It’s really possible. For new Christians or need to refresh your faith and walk with God. PLEASE PLEASE START HERE I GUARANTEE YOU THE CHANGES ARE IMMEDIATELY. I have iOS 14.3 and I really love the NIV Bible Verse of the Day that I can see on my iphone home screen everyday through widget that I added.

The issue is that I have been noticing that the daily verse does not automatically change when the day changes, so I still see yesterday’s verse today. If I don’t do anything to manually update it, it will stay on the same verse for days. I have been manually going to ‘Edit Widget’ then changing the translation to NKJV first then changing it back again to NIV then it shows today’s verse. It would then update for another day then gets stuck again. Is this a bug? Any recommendation for a fix? Thank you.

NIVBibleApp has everything you could possibly want. It’s very easy to use, has an endless supply of resources, many of which are free. And the free stuff are things you will actually use, not obscure titles that you’ve never heard of. It doesn’t matter if you’ve never read the Bible or if you’ve been studying for years, every Bible student should have NIVBibleApp. There is absolutely nothing bad to say about this. Once you download the stuff you want it doesn’t even use any data! I couldn’t be more pleased!

I was using the Kindle reader on iPad to read the Bible and search verses. It’s a little clunky and slow to open. The NIV Bible app+ is super fast to open, easy to navigate, has lots of desirable options, and with a simple tap, the interface disappears to show nothing but the page on the screen. Don’t let “NIV” in NIVBibleApp name run you off if you like a different version. Many different translations including KJV with Strongs and even Hebrew and Greek are available.

As one of several I have downloaded & read each morning, I am pleased w/the ease of use in NIVBibleApp. I can easily switch from readings in the Bible to the volumes that go deeper into explanations of our Lord’s word. The plans are easy to follow & the references in the readings are convenient so I don’t have to switch back to another app to continue reading. Thank you for an app I use every day without getting frustrated by pop-ups in the middle of trying to read a lesson.

I have been using NIVBibleApp for years. It is so helpful and allows me to enrich my knowledge of God’s word in so many ways. Today I went and looked at some of the other Bible apps and none come even close to the ease of use and resources available on this one. My hope is that Olive Tree will stay true to its mission and vet any book or Bible version to make sure it is in keeping with God’s word and not the mores and customs of today’s world.

I thoroughly enjoy using this Bible app. This is my Bible I carry to church every Sunday. I can follow along with the Bible study and perform scripture searches easily. But the main reason I enjoy this Bible app is because I always have my Bible with me, ready to share it with others. I prefer NIV because usually people who are not familiar with the Bible cannot understand other translations. The NIV reads in plain language and is easy to memorize. Thank you for NIVBibleApp. It is a part of my Christian walk.

I like many others found myself looking at my phone on social media. My Bible was sitting on the table beside me gathering dust. Then I received a message into my heart that since my first instinct is to grab my phone…download the Bible onto my phone and read it instead of social media… NIVBibleApp is the perfect fit… easy to read and search for scriptures. So glad I have this on my phone.

I like carrying this when it’s hard to carry my physical Bible with me. I save notes, bookmarks, and verses in just a few seconds. Something I love about this version is if you can remember a key work or part of the verse, it can search the whole Bible where other apps can only search from a specific book at a time. I appreciate that a lot (saves me time when I don’t have WiFi).

Now not to hate on YouVerison, but it seems like NIVBibleApp is more of a social media, than a Bible now days. The only thing I can recommend at the moment is that you put the full names of the Bible, when your searching. It’s kinda annoying that’s it’s abbreviated, it makes it hard to find what book your looking for sometimes. Other than that great app!

I’ve noticed it can be rather difficult to highlight and save at the same time. It would be better if the drop down menu with the ribbon, highlighter, save verse feature would remain open until you have finished. Perhaps if there was an X (close) feature in the upper right hand corner so that when you finish you can close it instead of having to open it numerous times to highlight, put a ribbon marker and save the verse.

I have used 2 other mobile Bible App. and one disappeared . The other was difficult to navigate. NIVBibleApp seems solid. It’s easy to use and has many features. It’s having your own Bible book store in your hands. Easy to sit and read and study or find more help and new books for your library. A great feature is the verse of the day that can be shared. Thanks for an easy to use app.

NIVBibleApp is titled NIV but has the full flexibility of Olive Tree software. This is a real app, not just a web scraper. It is very intuitive and acts exactly the way you hope it will: cross referencing pops-up and you can slide to the verses before and after while seeing your original passage, all of the references are in the library exactly where needed, searching is great, the paid add-ins are wide in breadth and extremely well integrated into NIVBibleApp . Great work!

I find the NIV Bible app very easy to use on my phone. I like the fact that instead of scrolling down to read, you swipe left and right like turning the pages in a book. I am still in the process of learning more about the NIV Bible app. I am very interested in using the study guide and will let you know how that goes. I use the NIV Bible app everyday to read God’s word. I also have another Bible app on my phone but I prefer the NIV Bible App. Thank you.

Struggled to find an app I could follow and have full understanding of what I was reading. Really enjoy the feature of making the back ground dark for easy on the eyes reading before bed and early in the morning. Also keeps your place where you left off when you close NIVBibleApp . If you are looking for an app to read the Bible I highly recommend.

I’ve endured many limitations over the past year,having almost loosing my life in a traumatic car accident , but nothing to Big that God hasn’t pushed me through! I’ve suffered a traumatic brain injury and find it hard at times to comprehend what I’m reading, but NIVBibleApp has given me the understanding to read God’s word again without it being complicated and frustrating for me!

I’m so happy with this bible as it’s worded to where it’s easier to understand. I’m not one that understands the word very easy but this version is so much better than the other ones I’ve tried to use. I was given a King James as my first bible which I still have but I always us this on my phone. Keep up with the versions that make us illiterate people understand.

I have found that Olive Tree Bibles give me much greater study discipline as I read through the Bible, enhance my understanding of The Word with additional study tools, and give me a place to keep all of my study and sermon notes. My only recommendation is to also create a place for non-scripture referenced study notes. I haven’t found that part yet.

The Olive Tree Bible app is my constant companion. I use it on my daily commute to work on the train to read the Bible in chronological order. Which has greatly helped my walk with Jesus. I share key verses on Parler - nice feature! I use it to take notes from the pastor's sermon in church. I know NIVBibleApp has many more features, I just have to use them yet! Thank you Olive Tree!

It’s a great application, once you download it, you don’t need the internet or WiFi. Great resources if you like study bible and there’s no need to download dictionaries separately they all in the store. Even paid version of the are not overpriced. Anything that is bought can be accessed from many devices without being limited like some apps.

I use NIVBibleApp every morning. It is outstanding.
I especially like being able to search on key words and it then shows all the verses that contain that word in the Bible. It is fascinating to me seeing the patterns and how I can usually find a key verse that applies to what I am going through or thinking about.

This is such a wonderful bible app because I can highlight, and make notes. I’ve also added other versions of the Bible within this same app and use them for better understanding of the word! I’ve used others and have others, but Olive Tree is by far the very best!

I depend on NIVBibleApp to stay faithful in reading the Word. It’s very good but I have to choose my reading plan every day to be able to get to the next reading assignment. Otherwise it may not put the marker at the end to let me complete the assignment. I’d like it to stay in a reading plan till I choose to change to a different one. But overall an excellent app.

It's very easy to use , language is quite understanding, with the reference makes it more interesting using ... I will recommend to everyone because is the best app ever ..it also allows you to write your personal note . Best of all

I am a person of vintage who learned to type on a manual typewriter 😉 and, while I am a person of at least average intelligence, I consider my self to be very “electronic device challenged”. That being said, the process of navigating through NIVBibleApp is a difficult and frustrating process for me.
