This is my first payment gateway/merchant account/credit card terminal setup I've ever done. Not only is the application fantastic, they baby-stepped me through the entire payment gateway/merchant account process and answered all of my questions. Everyone I spoke with understood that I have never done this before, and just wanted to help me through the process. Easiest process I've been though. "Great, thank you for sending that paperwork in, now we're moving onto this (x), you'll hear from {a person} that will be asking for this...", at each and every step, they answered my flood of questions and calmed me through everything. Absolutely fantastic, if you run ANY kind of business where there is any possibility that you would need to take a charge out on the road, GET CreditCardTerminalReader!!!!!! You will not regret it.

I got this program barely a week ago. I decided I wanted a more robust way to process my clients credit cards and this is the solution. I run a small business and have been taking credit cards by dialing into a phone #, entering my acct #, then the customer #, etc, etc. It was a hassle, especially if you entered the wrong number. This is just the program I was looking for! Almost instant authorization of funds on Wi-Fi, 3G, even EDGE for when I'm in the middle of nowhere. The cost may seem high but once you shop for other merchant services they charge more for the just the set-up of the account! If you want to take credit cards on your iPhone, this is the only application you should consider. Also great job linking to the RING IT UP application. I love how I can create an invoice, pick my customer information and process their payment in 3min, plus it automatically sends everyone an email receipt!

I own a furniture/mattress company on Maui, Hawaii and have been using a standard merchant account through a phone line for a about a year... I heard about CreditCardTerminalReader from a friend and decided to do some research. After a two day process we were up and running and its the most simple and money saving application I have ever used! No matter what anyone says, the credit card fees are comparable to a bank, but you don't have to pay for internet/phone(if you have internet service on your phone), no contract and no set up or equipment fees. It has worked everytime for us with no problems. We take it on the road for deliveries all the time and it does the trick. One concern we had was that people would be sceptical about us swipping their card on our phone due to fraud, however we haven't had any problems after 100's of transactions, in fact most people think its awesome! Get CreditCardTerminalReader!

Perfect little app.
This is a great app, that has really changed the way that I do business.
Being able to take deposits while at networking events ANYWHERE with a cell-phone signal. This means that I can secure bookings and email a pdf transaction receipt immediately to the client. You can type in your own thank you message with confirmation of date and time of the booking too.
Great online interface, great support teams, and very easy to use. THIS IS MY FAVOURITE APP...!!!

Without CreditCardTerminalReader, I simply would not be able to do the business I am today.
Even without the card swipe, I just have to say "I LOVE CreditCardTerminalReader".
When I initially researched taking credit cards, I looked at all my options. I went to my bank, but at the time they did not support the Mac platform, I looked at static terminals, wireless terminals, web-based terminals &c. This was by far the most versatile and well supported piece of kit out there, and I didn't need to buy any hardware to start.
Any app that pays for itself in multiples in the first month is well worth getting.
The processing fees associated with the actual merchant services piece are right in line with their competitors, so make your life easy - Stop looking around for comparable apps, and get this one...

Signed up for a merchant account through Inner Fence and was accepting credit cards with CreditCardTerminalReader 2 days later. This is a very polished app. All you really need is on one screen, you can add additional information on another screen, but it isn't necessary. Some people are complaining that you have to get a merchant account, no app will allow you to charge someone's credit card without a merchant account.

They have an offer right now that they will give you a $50 iTunes gift card if you sign up through Inner Fence. I signed up and had my gift card within a few hours.

This is a great company and they are making the iPhone a world class business computing device.

We purchased this credit card application after looking at several others, but settled on Innerfence because of the service we received during our search. After finishing a three day expo over the weekend, I can tell you that this application along with the free card reader is awesome! Credit card transactions were a snap and not to mention the reaction from customers after seeing us transact their purchases over the iPhone! Not only were we able to get instant approvals for credit card sales, but once the transaction was finalized, we were able to offer customers the option to have the receipt emailed to them as well!

I am a glass artist and wanted to be able to take credit cards at festivals i was able to use CreditCardTerminalReader to take credit cards in the woods! Even on the edge network with barely a signal it only took about 45 seconds to charge the card. It took me about 3 days to get it all set up there was some paperwork involved and a credit check but basically pretty simple. As far as usage it was simple, enter the card number and the rest of the info then push the button. It can send email reciepts by going online and checking a box and the support is fantastic every question i asked was answered in detail within an hour. My only complaint is that i wish there was a decimal on the keypad but i can live without it.

I recently bought my iPhone and was anxious to get CreditCardTerminalReader loaded. We are photographers and sell framed and/or matted photos at art and craft shows. Our previous credit card processing solution was using dial pay over the cell phone which was tedious and difficult at times and virtually required use of a bluetooth earpiece because of the need to listen for prompts while trying to type in data simultaneously on the phone. Doubly difficult if there is loud live music close to our booth as was at our last show. CreditCardTerminalReader is really nice in comparison! It's so easy to simply put the information in and press "Charge". I'm really liking the ease of use. And the ability to email receipts to customer and myself is also nice.

A wireless printing option would be very nice...

This credit card terminal is amazing, and getting it setup is very easy. I applied for a merchant account through Merchant Focus and was approved in no time. As soon I was approved, I was able to set up my terminal & was accepting credit cards the same day. I was blown away by the quick customer support. Whenever I needed help, or had a question, Derek Del Conte, the co-founder, emailed me with a helpful response. I even requested a terminal for my mac, and he emailed me a link to set it up! The $50 Itunes gift card is also a plus. When I was approved for a merchant account, they emailed me with the gift card. The credit card terminal only costs 99 cents, but it would still be a steal if it cost $50 or $100. If you're a business owner, this is a must have!

New signature capture & tip feature is easy to use. Just rotate the iPhone, hand it to your client, and they can enter the tip and sign with their finger. When they hit Done, they see a message telling them to return the iPhone. Nicely integrated! The credit approval process isn't unique to CreditCardTerminalReader - it's the same as it would be for any other merchant account, and I found it easy. But if you don't want to go with their merchant account, you don't have to, since CreditCardTerminalReader works with many different payment processors, including PayPal Website Payments Pro. Overall, this is a great app. Lets me accept client payments without the expense of a landline or a credit card machine. A great investment.

Have been using CreditCardTerminalReader for over a year now, and Merchant Focus has been fantastic with their customer service. We sell goods at trade shows around the world, and CreditCardTerminalReader has been used all over, and it just works. The emailed receipt makes customers happy, the quick deposit into our account makes me happy. Liz at Merchant Focus is just fantastic.... we had to open a second account recently, and as I waited until the absolute last minute, she got us approved, and setup in about 3 hours.. Just amazing. I highly highly recommend working with these folks.. they do care about small business people, and will solve any problem you toss their way.

CreditCardTerminalReader itself is really cool, I love having the option to charge a card whenever I need to but there are few too many downsides, first the monthly fees second processing fees, third the amount of people you have to deal with.
I understand there are security issues, but through the whole process of setting up a merchant account I felt like they were doing me a favor by opening me an account. They even called one of my very respectful clients to confirm my identity. Then there are the fees, the rates they advertise are very unlikely to be applied to you, you are looking at high 4% or more, then there are monthly fees, then there is the time it takes to get your money in your account.
I believe CreditCardTerminalReader can be setup with different merchants then the ones they use or however connected they are, do anything possible to set it up with somebody else, if you do go with them just pray something don't go wrong

Being in direct sales, I am always on the go. I was with another company with a Hypercom T4100 terminal and I hated lugging that thing around from party to party. Then, one evening, my boyfriend saw the iPhone office apps commercial and said, "Babe, you should get THAT!" I immediately jumped online and did my research of ALL the credit card terminal apps that are available right now. Althought Inner Fence's app is one of the most expensive, it's worth every freakin' penny!! They had a promo running when I signed up where they sent me a $50 iTunes gift card as soon as I emailed them my app purchase receipt!! So, basically, a FREE app! Their customer service is outstanding -- ask for Brad! :-)

The reason I decided to go with Credit Card Terminal was because I read reviews of their great customer service. They didn't let me down either! I have tested the iPhone app and it seems to work great! The instructions were simple and easy to follow. The application process was quite in depth, but most credit card terminal applications are - allow about a day to complete everything they need you to complete. I didn't need to mail anything in and I'm up and running one day after I purchased CreditCardTerminalReader ! The fees are straight forward and I appreciate that they are listed right on the iTunes app description.

I use CreditCardTerminalReader to process credit cards on my iPhone. It's very easy to use and I really like that the customers receipt is emailed to them automatically. Simply inter the customers info and hit charge and the money shows up in my bank account in 2-3 days. There is a card swipe that you can get that connects to the bottom of your phone but I didn't bother to get it. I just key in the card info myself, it's very easy. Would recommend CreditCardTerminalReader to anyone who would like to accept credit cards on their smart phone and doesn't want to spend lots of money for a portable credit card machine.

I purchased Credit Card Terminal in order to process credit/debit card payments for the art I sell at different conventions around the US. The reason I chose this application over the others is simply because it does the job affordably, attractively, and best of all easily. The rates are far below PayPal's and any of the other merchant accounts I have researched. I bought CreditCardTerminalReader when it first came out and it has only gotten better with each release and iOS update! Simple. Easy to use. Reliable. And it provides plenty of "wow" to impress clients. A definite plus!

It'd be nice if, when choosing a client from my address book, I could specify which of their addresses, email addresses, or phone numbers to use (and I'd been told that such functionality was in the works for an upcoming release), but that's a minor complaint, rarely an issue, and easy to work around.

Being a self-employed hairstylist is always fun but now my business just took a change for the better. I've never taken cc payments before so I also had a lot of questions. Love the new signature capture and tips but a little bummed that I payed $50 for it and then they drop it to $0.99 Also the fees are a little misleading. I capture all info (zip, CVV, etc) and almost always get the highest rate. 2% my bum. They say if you capture the zip it most often qualifies for the 2.09% but they shouldve said RARELY and most often get the 4% rate.

Edited to add after leaving my review, I figured out how to work the signature, it was 3 o clock in the morning when I tried and I was brain fried. No need to personally attack me, I am not an idiot or a moron. Then today the company called me personally to talk to me about some of my issues. That is top notch customer service and I highly recommend these guys to everyone.
