Belittled and harassed if you’re not ‘open minded’

I’ve had PeriodTrackerDeluxe for years. I love the period tracker and all of the options. I later realized that PT tracker also has a social media side to it. It was nice at first. You get to speak to other women about life, kids, careers, etc. I’ve made some amazing friends there. But then there’s the harassments : / We live in a world we’re everyone is different and that’s ok. But on PeriodTrackerDeluxe if you aren’t ‘open minded’, you get belittled and you get called names. There are guidelines on PeriodTrackerDeluxe which I like...but they are never enforced. I’ve stayed in the past because of the friends that I’ve made but the negative now overshadows the good. My nieces were looking for a period app and I told them to stay away from PeriodTrackerDeluxe. This isn’t the kind of stuff young ladies should be putting up with ESPECIALLY is you have Christian views. The sex talk is beyond insane and little girls don’t shouldn’t be exposed to that but on PeriodTrackerDeluxe they are. Is PeriodTrackerDeluxe itself a great tool for period tracking, yes. But the social side has gone down hill and unless your part of the ‘in crowd, trouble making group’ it’s just mentally draining and many amazing women have left PeriodTrackerDeluxe because of it.

Not my best purchase..

PeriodTrackerDeluxe is well past due for some real updates. More than just “bug fixes” & nondescript “improvements”.. I bought the premium version many years ago, but it’s honestly one of the more disappointing purchases I’ve made (as far as apps go). I can’t even remember the last time anything was updated/added. Same skins, message boards, format, etc. Very few noticeable improvements throughout the years.

I wish I would have interacted on here much more with my last babe, but I promised myself I’d be more active this time around. Well, maybe not since things in general seem to have slowed down on the social side of PeriodTrackerDeluxe. Functionality of PeriodTrackerDeluxe itself is fine — ok but not great, — but I understand why people may get on here as much as they used to. Other apps have more to offer, and are generally more appealing.

TLDR: PeriodTrackerDeluxe is in desperate need of some long-overdue updates.

Tracking periods, pregnancy but not inclusive.

I use PeriodTrackerDeluxe often, I tracked my periods for nearly three years while trying to conceive and now my pregnancy. It’s easy to use and I enjoy the weekly notes while pregnant. I like that you can have a back-up of your info as well.
I do have to say it’s disappointing that the wording isn’t more inclusive of various types of families that don’t have a mom and dad. My wife and I (two-mom family) are expecting our first. It would be better if the “for the dad” section was more inclusive “significant other tips” or “parenting partner info”. Another way to alleviate this problem would be upon registration to note what type of family you have so info can be personalized (single parent, two moms, two dads, mom/dad, parents who identify as transgender, or would rather use a pronoun such as “they” vs he/she). This could be easily created through an algorithm. I recommend PeriodTrackerDeluxe but the creators need to provide a more inclusive app for all individuals/families especially for the pregnancy piece.

Great but needs a new design

I’ve had the deluxe version of PeriodTrackerDeluxe for SEVERAL years now, and I love it a ton. I love how predictable it is for my cycles and how easy it is to edit compared to other apps. The only thing I do not like about PeriodTrackerDeluxe is the very outdated home screen themes. They’re way too busy and look like something a pre-teen would enjoy. A year ago there was an update for a sleeker calendar, but I don’t think there’s been a big update since then. The themes have not changed since I started using PeriodTrackerDeluxe 5 years ago. Please consider a more updated, minimalist, clean design like the other period tracker apps out there and PeriodTrackerDeluxe would be PERFECT. 👍🏼
.
My original post from a year ago:
I've been using this little period tracker for about four years now, and I absolutely love it. I love the new simple design in the calendar; but I wish we could choose a simpler, more minimalistic design for the home screen to match the new calendar. The "appearance" options are outdated and too busy. That's my only suggestion! Love PeriodTrackerDeluxe otherwise ☺️

Notifications don’t work

I started with the free version and loved it so much that I quickly got the paid version and have been using it fir a few years now.

The verdict over time: It does its job and generally has a very straightforward interface. When I was tracking symptoms and vitamins/meds each day, it had a great system for that, and I could add & save literally anything that I wanted to track by later toggling a switch. I even peeked into the community forums once or twice and found a vibrant and supportive community there to talk relevant topics if I needed it.

My only real complaint is with the notifications, which I set up about a year ago. I thought it would be great to have an app send me reminders of things that are linked to my cycle—when I want do a breast self exam, and so on. I set up several. For whatever reason, I have never gotten a notification at the appropriate time. Most never arrive anywhere *near* the appropriate day. I just got one that’s roughly 15 days off. For a while I thought that it was necessary to log into PeriodTrackerDeluxe each day for its clock to reset and notifications to pop up appropriately (negating the “set it and forget it” benefits of notifications), but it doesn’t even seem to be that. Notifications pop up randomly, regardless of when I’ve last logged in.

I would recommend PeriodTrackerDeluxe to others, but it would be a tepid recommendation. If they fixed the Notifications, *then* we’d be talking a really great app.

Reliable, affordable

I've had PeriodTrackerDeluxe for about 5 years. Its assisted me to chart an irregular cycle, keep notes for reference on previous pregnancy losses and kept me informed on my current pregnancy which is going to term! I always recommend PeriodTrackerDeluxe to anyone of childbearing age because you can keep track of when you spot, your period begins, your period ends, how long your cycle is, when you ovulate and any symptoms you have. It also charts your weight, how many steps you take and even some details of lovemaking (for TTC, of course 😎) It has both an absence mode, TTC mode and pregnancy mode. Pregnancy mode has been helpful because it provides an estimated due date, a countdown on how far along you are and a weekly update on where you're at in the pregnancy.
Another thing I love about it is that, although its a little less fancy than apps like, The Bump, its not full of ads or articles pushing products.
One improvement could be a photo album to track your bump weekly and a baby registry checklist and hospital packing check list which is why I only gave it 4 stars. Overall a great app and worth paying for!

Great for its intended purpose!

I’ve been using PeriodTrackerDeluxe faithfully since Sept. 2015, and it has definitely served its purpose perfectly. Because I’ve been using it so long, it’s very good at predicting my cycles, etc.

My husband and I were trying to conceive last year, and we got pregnant on our first month of trying! PeriodTrackerDeluxe was very accurate on my ovulation dates. Once again, it is probably because it has almost 5 years of data! I don’t use it for tracking my symptoms or anything like that, but I can always tell my doctor exactly when my last period was! Lol.

The only reason I’m giving PeriodTrackerDeluxe 4 stars is because after I switched it off from pregnancy mode when my daughter was born in Feb 2020, it has been very buggy. I cannot choose the date my period started, and it seems a little broken. I hate to delete it and restart considering all of the history. But it’s definitely not as functional at the moment. I am hoping the developers fix it.

Used & loved for years... but native notifications are useless.

This tracker is my tried and true favorite. I’ve been using it for years and it has helped me keep better note of my periods and any oddities in my cycle(s), etc. But I do have to complain about one thing: an annoying glitch with the native notifications.

There are notifications from the native app, and then there are unique notifications one can set up for their own situation. For example, I set up two unique notifications to go off at 9 and 9:30 p.m. every night as a friendly reminder to take my birth control. These push notifications never fail, and they can be super useful for any sort of responsibility that requires constant attention i.e. a medicine, pill or activity. But then PeriodTrackerDeluxe ’s native notifications - which tell you when you’re X days away from ovulation or X days away from your “fertile” window - literally NEVER show up. When do they arrive? On the odd day that you decide to open PeriodTrackerDeluxe . I personally just use PeriodTrackerDeluxe to track my period and symptoms - so pretty much for 5-7 days out of the month. Then when it’s time to use it again, my phone freaks out and gets all of those native notifications at once, as if PeriodTrackerDeluxe takes it as, “Well, better late than never.” It’s frustrating and I wish this glitch would get fixed.

My favorite

I absolutely love PeriodTrackerDeluxe. Every app has its flaws & for PeriodTrackerDeluxe it is very minor! PeriodTrackerDeluxe is unbelievably simple. It is ALWAYS on point with calculating my period. Of course, there are months where my period is either a day early than what was calculated or a day later. Or it was exactly on point. Either way, i was expecting it because it was in that time frame of when I was supposed to get it. Even when my cycles changed, I loved how it calculated all of that information. if you don’t track your period every single time, do not complain that PeriodTrackerDeluxe is does not work or it is stupid. It cannot keep up, if you cannot log your monthly. it’s also great if you are forget about your dates and when you got yours. I made my mom and sister use it and they like it. I love it and recommend it to anyone and everyone.

BEEN USING FOR 5+ YRS!

I’ve been using PeriodTrackerDeluxe for over 5yrs now & I absolutely love it. Super easy to use! I haven’t been on birth control for 9yrs and PeriodTrackerDeluxe (along with condoms of course) has helped me not get pregnant. I can see when I’m ovulating & therefore know that a condom is a MUST. I’m married and our daughter is 8 - it’s nice to know which days of the month are safer for us to forego the condom all together without being super worried about ending up pregnant. It’s also nice to know when my period is expected to come - in case I do need a pregnancy test! It keeps me from worrying to stressing prematurely about possibly being pregnant. When I DO plan on getting pregnant again, it will be great to use PeriodTrackerDeluxe so I can see when I AM ovulating and use that to my advantage. Also to know when I’ve actually skipped a period. I’ve gotten to know so much about my cycle and my body 100% bc of PeriodTrackerDeluxe. Just a fantastic app overall! I couldn’t live without it!

Great All Around Period / Cycle Tracker

This is a great all around app to track your period. I have severe endometriosis, which means I try to track my symptoms. I’ve tried other apps — even those made for endo — yet I always come back to this one. I can add my own weirds endo symptoms to track, but still super convenient & easy to use. I like the concept of the social link/section. *Only* wish is that you guys would add a “birth control” mode. Since I tend to use hormonal birth control pills to help keep my endo at bay when I absolutely have to, it seems to confuse PeriodTrackerDeluxe when I have a random 167 day cycle occasionally, because I try to skip my period when I can’t rearrange my schedule around my period. I’m sure there are plenty other women who use PeriodTrackerDeluxe & have the same wish (it could actually work as a pregnancy miscarriage setting. There’s a pregnancy setting, but nothing if you miscarried, which is very common especially with fertility treatments & did at one point find myself wishing there could be a way to track a pregnancy that did *not* make it to term.
I’m short: Great app. Please add “birth control pill mode”

The Best! Like a BFF app'

PeriodTrackerDeluxe knows all the most intimate details about my life! It's so helpful when life planning anything- from vacations to birth control to understanding my emotional state. Before PeriodTrackerDeluxe I wouldn't anticipate symptoms of my period and would be confused and emotional until my period would come. It also helped in family planning- giving me a 'flower day' to focus on. It was also a helpful pregnancy calendar and journal of events and feelings. I wish PeriodTrackerDeluxe would support a way to format and produce a journal-like document offline (as a *.pdf for example) as all my most intimate and tender thoughts and emotions are living in PeriodTrackerDeluxe. Please continue to make PeriodTrackerDeluxe a comforting and intimate place to put all the information my adult brain can no longer keep track of. Thank you!

Using this for 13 years now, and it’s still 5 stars

I’ve been diligently tracking my cycle with PeriodTrackerDeluxe since 2010, and I couldn’t be happier with it.

This is the most reliable app that has ever been on my phone. There was a stretch of probably 6 to 8 years where I didn’t update it even once, and it worked perfectly the entire time. Calculations are reliable. Logs are reliable. Seriously, PeriodTrackerDeluxe is just rock solid.

The data it stores has come incredibly useful, as I was diagnosed with PCOS a couple of years ago. In my case, PCOS made it extremely difficult to start a family, but I’m happy to report that I finally got to turn on “pregnancy mode” in December :) I look forward to seeing my pregnancy mode screen refresh with new, fun information every week!

Best App

I have been using PeriodTrackerDeluxe since 2013 it is really amazing app I pay for it and I never regret.. it helps me to family controlling and it is accurate that was really surprised me how much PeriodTrackerDeluxe is really accurate and all u need is just choose the right information about ur time then click on it now it comes with more feature I havent try them yet ( trying to conceive or pregnant mode) but I try to add notes on my intimate realtion it is really fun —- and there is a choice where u can put ur mooody and the changes per to period which really help me to understand myself and get support of my lovely husband that he will consider my hormonal changes .. I write for review because I have to thank and appreciate your effort ... Thank you all from my heart . I hope my review will guid women who’s interested . ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

LOVE this app - please new designs!!!

I have pcos and am ttc. I’ve used every app there is and this one is the best in every way. Accurate every month which is saying a lot for my crazy cycles. None of the other apps could even get close. Plus it has far more logging and input options than the others. None of them have a note section, it’s so simple but makes PeriodTrackerDeluxe really stand out.

But for the love of pete can you PLEASE make a less childish design option? At least one or two for the adults who utilize PeriodTrackerDeluxe? I won’t stop using it regardless but it would make a long time user very happy. I feel like I’m back in middle school while in PeriodTrackerDeluxe . For such a comprehensive and effective health tool, the themes feel very out of place. But overall, amazing app. So thankful for it.

So helpful in so many ways!

As a health & weight loss coach, I recommend PeriodTrackerDeluxe to nearly ALL my clients, to help them become more self aware. For my own personal use, it’s been extremely helpful to identify my patterns and cycles, like when migraines are most likely to happen. It also has helped me not take my moods too seriously, when I see I’m feeling low 10 days or 3 days before my period—or just after ovulation. Also helped me realize I get cramps during ovulation-those “mystery cramps” used to scare me, but now they seem totally normal, in context with time of the month. The full version is worth paying for, since it allows you to zoom out and see analytics, like your mood or pain patterns over 6 months, for example. Probably the BEST app I’ve ever used!

I use it religiously...

Very useful! This is one of those apps that you can use as little or as much as you want effectively.(like just to track your periods and/or ovulation, or track all of your symptoms and additional notes in regards to your body or sex life.) You can also make your own symptoms to track, which is very cool. For instance, I have PCOS and like to keep track of my different issues and symptoms here to report to the doctor as needed. each day has a notes section.… so I’ve used that for adding notes in regards to my sex life as well. Anytime there’s a heart on the calendar with a gray dot- I’ll know I made additional notes about intimacy. (Been married 15 years so it’s a great “me” place to log notes in an effort to keep things spicy.)

Why am I eating everything in site? Oh yeah....

PeriodTrackerDeluxe is so helpful and pretty spot on with tracking and predicting your periods. You can track symptoms, emotions, weight etc. to see if you have symptom patterns. It also tracks the length between, duration of and start/end times of each cycle. I like the little tree on PeriodTrackerDeluxe front page, it will bloom in cherry blossoms to let you know you are fertile/ovulating. Also the calendar is super helpful because you can look into the future to see if your period is about to ruin your trip to Hawaii in 5 months. Definitely a must for any women. It is also helpful when you go to the doctor and they ask “when was your last period?” Whip out your phone and you have the answer.

Excellent! Recommend using!

Very customizable! You can add and remove symptoms and moods. I appreciate that it allows you to track ovulation without being in TTC mode. It’s a little clunky in some places but if you experiment and mess around with it, it’s easy to learn how to use it. It’s very forgiving. It also has a ton of other useful functions that I don’t use like sleep, exercise, water intake, etc. It’s definitely a great app for all aspects of your life.
I gave it four stars because some aspects are a bit clunky and it’s something you have to experiment with to learn how to use.
Definitely recommend!

**Updated to 5 stars because it’s still one of the few apps that I have used regularly within the past 2 years.**

This app is a life saver!

Ok, so in the past I haven't been the best at keeping up with my period. I wld get busy and forget to mark it on a calendar and wld be left guessing my next start date. I deal with extreme fatigue, depression along with other physical pain due to PMS. Now, with PeriodTrackerDeluxe, when I start feeling like crap I can pull it up and see wether or not something is wrong or if it's just PMS. I LOVE LOVE LOVE The period countdown in the main screen. I can even use it to plan around that week before! That way I won't make big plans during my normally horrible week of PMS!! I always have my phone nearby and PeriodTrackerDeluxe so easy to use! If I'm in a rush I can just click PeriodTrackerDeluxe , tap the "just started period" and it's logged. If I want to go back later and log all of the symptoms (cramps, backaches, fatigue, hurting boobs...lol!!...yes you know what I mean!! ) it's easy to do. It also helps me track the changing symptoms as I age. I'm 45 now, and my body is definitely changing. This helps me keep a record. Not
Just for me, but for my doctors.
For you wanting to have more kids you track ovulation and so on. It's so much more that just a period tracker. It's been a life saver for me!! Thank you to developers of
PeriodTrackerDeluxe!!!! 👍👍👏👏🥇🤗😊
