I’ve been a fan of gabby for a long time and the app is okay. I had a 7 day trial but didn’t feel comfortable committing to a 6 month subscription. I find it frustrating a month to month option is not available - I would have gone forward with that. So I canceled my trial before the 7 days was over. I was still charged for the subscription anyway and it’s been an absolute nightmare trying to get a refund. I sent so many emails to customer support and just kept being told that I needed to resolve the refund with the App Store, not them. Which was not true. The charge was from them directly. When I told them this they would just stop answering me. I finally had to open up a credit card dispute on the charge which finally got them to at least take my claim seriously and see that the charge was, in fact, from them. I’m still in a back and forth between them and my cc company. It’s been 13 days total and countless emails. This was not worth it….so incredibly frustrating - and from an app intended to help my mental health, no less.

I’ve loved Gabby’s work for years and it truly has changed my life. Unfortunately, the app doesn’t reflect this for me. The app itself is beautiful and easy to navigate, and picking an affirmation card each day is really fun. But my biggest issue with it is that it’s all recycled content. I’m familiar with everything there and I hardly see new releases from her. It seems like a quick way to make a lot of income from subscribers without contributing much regularly. I was very disappointed to see this as the 2 minute quick lessons for the day are very surface level and what I can do on my own or from free apps already. It lacks depth. Her meditations are wonderful and have what really kept me on the membership for a while though at this stage I’ll have to unsubscribe. It’s a shame. I highly do recommend her books though for deeper healing and reflection.

I’ve been following Gabby for a long time and found this a good place to start building the foundation of a daily practice. I was really enjoying my meditations and was actively working on committing to the journaling practice. I spent quite some time writing out my journal entry and got a notification so my screen switched. When I returned to my app all of my progress was gone. It was pretty frustrating because I know it will likely keep doing it. Same thing happens with meditations and I feel like it becomes super discouraging. I know I’m not the only one who’s notification world doesn’t stop or her screen doesn’t lock after a period of activity. Keep doing great things Gabby, please help us get more functionality out of your app. The price point is too steep for me if this element isn’t fixed :(
