A Must-Play Masterpiece!

this app by Supercell is a phenomenal game that truly stands out in the crowded market of mobile gaming. The graphics are stunning, the gameplay is addictive, and the strategic depth keeps you coming back for more. Each character is uniquely designed with special abilities that add layers of complexity and excitement to every match.

The community is vibrant and the developers are consistently updating the game with new content and improvements. Whether you're a casual gamer or a hardcore strategist, this app offers endless fun and challenge. This game has set a new standard for mobile gaming excellence. Highly recommended!

Good and can't wait to see what it will become

I've played the game for hours and I can say it's good. It's not the top game I would play on my phone, but it's still a good game. When I saw that you could buy keys with the gold, I thought it would be broken. However, each time you use a key, it has a cooldown to the max. You can use 2 keys per round, and each hero has some art. I did not like some of the art, but some made me laugh. I would say give it a try. It might be weird at first, but let it play out and you will see the difference.

Frustrating Connection Issues Ruin the Experience

I had high hopes for Squad Busters, but my experience has been nothing short of frustrating due to constant connection problems. Despite having a strong and stable internet connection, the game frequently fails to communicate with the server. This results in disconnections, lag, and an overall unplayable experience.

It's incredibly disappointing to invest time into a match only to have the game freeze or lose connection entirely. This issue severely impacts gameplay and makes it impossible to enjoy the game as intended. Until these connection problems are addressed, I can't recommend Squad Busters to anyone. I hope the developers fix this soon, but for now, it's a one-star rating from me.

Introduction to the Game

Squad Busters is amazing, more specifically, very satisfying, especially when you get new characters and test it out on the field! I love it when you become the strongest and so you become the hunter of other players. It is also very funny when running away from the top player. Would recommend this game because the game modes are various and takes only 5 or less minutes of your time for one game. 5 Stars!!!

Game so good i divorced my wife

I started playing this game the other day and i fell in love with It. I mean head over heals in love with the game and then my wife started nagging about little things that would urk me, literally dumb things like take out kid to school or feed the dog or go to work. I’ve just had It so i divorced her and put our credit card to make in all purchases and couldn’t be happier with this game. If i can give 6 stars i would

Best Game on Appstore!!!

Yo, check out Squad Busters, it's seriously cool! This game is like, the ultimate squad showdown. The graphics are sick, like you're right in the middle of the action, and the missions are crazy intense.

What's dope about Squad Busters is how you gotta think on your feet. Like, every decision you make could mean victory or defeat for your squad. Plus, you can totally customize your crew with all these cool skills and stuff.

And don't even get me started on the multiplayer mode! It's like, a whole new level of awesome. You can team up with your friends or take on other squads in epic battles. It's legit non-stop fun.

Honestly, if you're into gaming and want something that's gonna get your heart pumping, Squad Busters is where it's at. Grab it now and get ready to dominate the battlefield, fam!

Game is fun but has problems

1. There is no social aspect to the game like other supercell games, other than the friend list. No clans or clubs or anyway to communicate. No reward or something to work towards with a clan.
2. Game gets boring after a while and I feel every game is the same with the same objective to get gems just with different modifiers each time.

3. No trophy system or rank system like in other games. Once I get my daily chests I feel there is no reason to play because there’s not much to grind for. They need to add something than you can work towards and grind each game.

4. Too many stupid offers and micro transactions. Clash royale started doing the same thing and it’s gone very downhill since it became pay to win. Saw a huge loss in revenue in the game.

5. Overall not a bad game though to be honest. Just is not as quality as any other of supercells games. Though it’s new and has time to improve.

Amazing Experience! (help)

Squad Busters by Supercell is single-handedly the most innovative and exiting entertainment experience I have ever had in the mobile gaming sphere, Supercell has outdid themselves once again with another masterpiece, so go and download Squad Busters by Supercell on your own mobile device right away!

P.S. I am not being forced to write this review by supercell management and I this is not a call for help*

Fun game, but does it compare?

I was a beta tester for Clash Royale, Brawl Stars, and now Squad Busters. The game is fun, but it didn’t give me that instant love feeling both Clash Royale & Brawl Stars gave me. Still new and I can see its potential!

Minor suggestions for the developers, the buttons are to close together, when you try to sprint or attack you sometimes push the emoji reaction button. Maybe spacing them out a little will help!

Great game

I played this game ever since it game out for soft launch which was around a month ago but the game can have some potential I don’t really like how you only have to collect gems it gets boring after a little while even though there’s like 1M different things happening at once but I’ll give it 4 star

By

Atrocious

This would be a good "game" for children ages 3-5 years old, as literally the only thing you do is walk around. You cannot control anything else except for a single spell that you might acquire while walking around. You "defeat" enemies by having squad members that are higher level (which you pay for). That is it. There is literally no more depth to the game than upgrading your squad members. I am honestly shocked that Supercell released this, given their reputation for having "extremely high standards" for their games. Apparently not anymore.

Great job team!!!

Been a very loyal fan for supercell, not sponsored but would love to collaborate. Great game, will continue to evolve and get better like the rest of the company’s games. For a free game that is incredibly immersive and intuitive it stands up to how great all their games are. Good job to the whole team for the very hard work!!! Please shoutout to the whole staff!

By

Lack Luster

I thought supercell wanted to be know for making memorable games that can be played for years to come, not cheap games that look like a rip off from a modern day budget app where you put no effort into making it. Coming from the people who didn’t want to release clash mini, this is crazy. It feels more RNG than skill is needed to win, and there is almost no game play, walk up to something, quit touching the phone, let it automatically do something for you.

By

Lost a toughy

this game made me lose a 3 year streak. i had been holding back for so long and it all left at once. the stream was insane unlike anything in my imagination! 10/10 i would do it again! i will start another journey and attempt to go for 5 years or more.

Attacking Enemies

Since you have to stop to attack, the opposing players could just walk away, making it quite hard to kill them. It gets annoying after some time

By

Fun mix of the clash universe(second review)

It seems like a fun game including references to past supercell games, the idea of evolutions and growing your squad has potential. The only thing that I would complain about is the non strategic gameplay and the fact that the only way you fight is to stop moving. Over it has potential if supercell doesn’t ruin it like past games(Cash Royale)

By

Pleasantly Suprised

I’ve played all of supercells games and I liked them all, brawl stars being their magnus opus. But, I'm going to be honest I had little hope for this game. But its honestly entertaining, I can see myself playing this a long time, this is not a one and done, GG’s supercell!

By

Subtitles are a good feature

I like the subtitles because I can understand what’s going on in the game but I usually can’t hear over dad beating mom because she took his last cigarette after that he makes me pour him drinks so yea pretty good feature

By

Great Potential

So far I am enjoying squad busters a lot!! They controls feel very smooth and the gameplay is really fun. Can’t wait to see what the future holds for Squad Busters!!! It definitely doesn’t disappoint! Keep up the good work Supercell Team!!!

By

Awesome

This game I expected to have less freedom in selection and how I play. That wasn’t how it was at all. Every new match feels fresh and none of the enemies look stale or stiff at any time. Definitely am going to play this often!

By

Very Entertaining. Please Read.

Like most new games, I don't have very much faith or high expectations going into them. However this game completely surprised me. This game is the perfect balance between rng and skill. All the characters have unique and game-changing skills, as well as the ability to unlock new skills as you progress. Some of my favorite things about this game are it’s interesting take on leveling characters. Instead of a boring stat upgrade you see new abilities introduced, as well as your character age from a baby all the way into this crazy high-detailed warrior. The matchmaking is exciting too, as you watch the map and mode be selected right before your eyes.

There have only been a few problems i’ve encountered while playing. Theres no way to resize or move the movement stick so sometimes your movement will be slowed or disrupted. I also heavily recommend you only play this game on a strong wifi connection, as the slightest lag throws your team around the entire map until you die, it’s extremely disappointing.

Theres so much more to this game than what I can explain, yet at the same time, its not too difficult of a game. I recommend giving this game a try so it doesn't receive the same treatment as Clash Mini.

Disappointing New Game

The whole game feels like a cash grab enforced through their implementation of game characters from their other more significant games like Clash of Clans. It feels like TFT but Battle Royale.

The gameplay mechanic is terrible. The concept of collecting gems by destroying monsters to win the game is unoriginal. The whole game feels like a game that you would have play after watching a mobile game ad. The mechanics themselves are utter trash as you can see they got their influence from the battle royale and MOBA genre. Stopping to attack is a horrible mechanic to say the least as you can go into a chase for the whole game because it takes too long to destroy each member of an enemies party and they can just spam the dash button. MOBA games can utilize this feature well because you are forced to actually aim which takes some form of skill, but this game just automatically makes your party fight any enemy that enters a circle around your team. Fighting the NPC’s and other clashing real opponents is just so tedious that it gets boring after just a day. Even from its release, the game feels unfinished through the lack of game modes and game features. But other from these large flaws, the game is well designed and has a charming attribute to it. It’s cool to see crossovers, but the company needs to reinvent themselves and stop relying on their successful past.

Love it

"Squad Busters" is the second best mobile game of all time because it offers an engaging mix of strategy and action that appeals to a wide range of players. The game allows you to build and manage a team of unique characters, each with their own special abilities, which adds depth and variety to the gameplay. The colorful graphics and intuitive controls make it easy for new players to get started, while the competitive multiplayer mode keeps more experienced players coming back for more. Its blend of cooperative and competitive elements creates a dynamic gaming experience that is both fun and challenging.

Despite its excellence, "Squad Busters" falls just short of "Clash Royale," which remains the top mobile game due to its perfect balance of strategy, skill, and real-time player-versus-player battles. "Clash Royale" has set a high bar with its polished gameplay, frequent updates, and strong community support, making it hard for any game to surpass. However, "Squad Busters" has carved out its own niche by focusing on team-based tactics and a more relaxed yet engaging play style. Its success and popularity prove that it is a formidable contender in the mobile gaming world, earning its place as the second best game right behind "Clash Royale."

Good idea, but terribly executed.

Don’t get me wrong, I loved the look of this game and the theory behind it. But after I started to play, I didn’t even get to the point of having battle items before I noticed a good few glaring issues. The first of which is the lack of inventive to interact with players in matches. Interacting with others is incredibly punishing as unless you have a huge upper hand when starting the fight, you will be left with little to no characters left. Basically a sitting duck for anyone nearby. Second, the automatically targeting characters can act extremely odd. Many times in a single match I noticed them ignoring monsters that had practically no health left in favor of ones who hadn’t been attacked. The two issues from earlier lead to another issue, that being the lack of a feeling of fault. If we use brawl stars as an example, we can visibly see why we had lost a match. Maybe it was due to a bad random, an assassin with high amounts of power cubes, you recklessly charging into bushes, but the point is that you often know why you lost. But in this game, where anyone can ambush you, or your character can target all the wrong enemies, I never felt at fault for my loss. It just felt like an unlucky roll of the die. Because of those issues and more, I don’t think I’ll be coming back to this game until some changes and fixes are made to make matches feel more engaging and reasonable to the player.

By

Unbalanced reward system

Greetings, the game is really entertaining it’s far beyond perfect compared to the brawl stars for it keeps you playing each time you finish a match, but one thing that I realized is that the reward system isn’t the way it should be because what you’re getting from battle pass makes it a pay to win game, battle pass should be a cosmetic thing like skins or whatnot, titles like Clash Royale are more balanced in that term where you get everything you need to compete with other players that have Royale pass makes buying a pass something optional not mandatory.

P.S: In some countries like IR Iran people can’t access the game without VPNs because of sanctions that have been executed after Finland joined NATO, thus a large number of players are suffering because of that, so i want you supercell to make a move for Games and Gamers have nothing to do with politics. (It hurts the people not the government)

1 Hour Review

I feel like this has a slight pay to win (in game free currency, not real money) vibe to it since you can buy keys to unlock characters mid game through the chest system. However, it is relatively limited in that aspect by setting timers on how often you can use these keys in a single match. The gameplay is smooth and the games can be challenging after the intro. I was initially blasted with free stuff starting out but after getting to the point where i could make no progress i had to either pay in game currency to unlock more stuff or wait the timer out. I can still play the rounds without earning rewards if i wanted to keep playing for the fun of it. There is much more to this game and i recommend giving it a try at the very least. The upgrade system is pretty nice and free, you get rewarded for upgrading your “troops” rather than paying to upgrade them which i really appreciate. Overall i’d give this a 4/5 playability and 3/5 for a potential future. Given this is supercell there will likely be some balances and updates to come to improve the game as time goes on. I cannot give any critical feedback on what might need improving yet.

Very exceptional

I recently played "Squad Busters" and it absolutely exceeded my expectations! The game offers a perfect blend of strategy, action, and teamwork that keeps you hooked for hours. The graphics are top-notch, with detailed environments and smooth animations that make the gameplay experience incredibly immersive. One of the standout features is the variety of characters, each with unique abilities and playstyles, ensuring that every match feels fresh and dynamic. The teamwork aspect is executed brilliantly, requiring real cooperation and strategy to succeed, which adds a layer of depth that's often missing in similar games. Additionally, the developers are constantly updating the game with new content and improvements, showing a real commitment to keeping the game engaging and balanced. Whether you're playing with friends or teaming up with random players online, "Squad Busters" delivers a consistently thrilling and rewarding experience. I highly recommend this game to anyone looking for an exciting, team-based strategy game. It's easily one of the best I've played in a long time! Five stars all the way!

Okay Gameplay, Paid Progression

The gameplay itself isn’t too bad, although I still do think more could have been done to enhance it. The RNG is too much as it basically can determine whether or not you lose, removing an aspect of skill from the game. I do like how the win streaks work and the chest mechanics, but this is limited based on the number of tickets you have. I don’t think tickets should exist. Energy systems in the majority of games limit their full potential. My final critique is that you can pay to progress which has been the case for all supercell games I have played. Even if it is possible to get far in this game without spending money, players who spend money still have an advantage over those who don’t. I get that money needs to be made, but this is never the answer. Money should be spent on things like cosmetics. By building the game in this way, you may be making more money by allowing players to pay for their progression, but you lose more players than the money benefits. Now, if you were to make purchases only for cosmetic items, you may have less purchases in ratio to the number of players but you’d have a bigger player base which would overall mean more profit if done correctly.

Bad experience

I recently tried using Duolingo to learn a new language, and I must say, I'm extremely disappointed. SquadBusters is incredibly repetitive, and it feels like I'm doing the same exercises over and over again without making any real progress. The lessons are often trivial and don't provide enough context or depth to truly understand the language.

Furthermore, SquadBusters 's reliance on gamification is more distracting than helpful. The constant notifications and pressure to maintain a streak turned what should be an enjoyable learning experience into a chore. To make matters worse, the free version is littered with ads, which interrupts the learning process and is very annoying.

Customer support is also practically non-existent. When I encountered issues with my account, I received no helpful response, only automated messages that didn’t address my problem. Overall, Duolingo seems more focused on keeping users hooked rather than genuinely helping them learn a new language. I would not recommend SquadBusters to anyone serious about language learning.

In the future…

This game has so much potential. This game brings in 4 different fan bases combing 4 of supercells games and creating it own unique one. The way you level up by defeating, encountering enemies, and by evolving your characters is a really good way of progression. It reminds me of how the brawl pass works except it does not reset and gives you more progression. It also reminds me of Clash of Clans the way you go and fight other squads while creating your own army. This game has a lot more characters in the future and it can add more maps as well as new features. I am looking forward to seeing what this game has to offer in the future. 5/5 potential 4/5 progression route 3/5 server strength (I know it’s new but needs some work) 2/5 game-modes (like brawl stars you should add other game-modes and other things to do other than just the same mode. Although it does have fun mutators.) overall 5/5 Very fun even though it may be repetitive after a long time playing in one session.

Mid game

Everything about this game is decent except for the fact that you can choose to run away the entire time and not engage in combat with anyone which kind of ruins the purpose. As far as I know, there is no way to really increase your speed and you have to stop moving to attack people (and they also have to be inside of a certain distance) Essentially trying to “bust” people that are running away is frankly impossible until they decide to engage with you. This alone almost ruins the game and it just turns into a who will stop running first game. Furthermore, the game essentially plays itself because the characters fight by themselves, no attack button or nothing, so the only controls you really have is walking, sprinting, and using these mid spells you find on the ground. This game could be a lot better, but it is still a alright way to pass the time if you are the type of person who plays games where they can shut their brain off and not have any real strategy (I happen to be one of those players, so i will probably continue to play the game occasionally, but if you are not into that, don’t play this game.)

Disappointed in Supercell

As a young adult who has played Clash of Clans since I was a literal kid with all my friends, Boom Beach for a couple of years, as well as Brawl Stars and Clash Royale. This game just doesn't hit the same at all. Supercell to me has had the mobile game genre in its hands for as long as I can remember and it’s safe to say they’ve had so much success because of their unique ideas for games and how they have made super cool universes with each of their titles. This game is just seemingly built off of the Brawl Stars engine while using all their assets all at once. I love Supercell but I genuinely do not know how this game got greenlit and launched. I loved Rush Wars and used a different country Apple ID to play that in its beta and I might not ever understand how this game was launched with confidence and Rush Wars was sadly killed. I don’t see this game doing well and I hope it is a learning experience for Supercell to remind them that they just need to do what they’ve always done best…Take your time. Come up with something unique and different. And build off that. Don’t use assets you already have and always try to create something new. Love ya Supercell🤙🏼

This game needs an overhaul.

The gameplay is a boring loop of running around and avoiding people as standing still and fighting comes with no positives. You don’t have to avoid people, but there is no incentive to fighting. The spells feel like they have close to little impact on the gameplay, so they’re just a bland nothingness added on top of the chasing. The game is boring and less enjoyable than Hay Day, supercells most timid game, which I’m actually quite fond of. Playing this game feels like a waste of time and it is, which is why this review is three stars and not one. It’s good for passing time or to numb your mind with the slow and boring gameplay. However at that point you should just play a different supercell game which would offer more enjoyment and give a better fate than this while passing the time. It’s possible this game could have potential and I want it to succeed because its concept is great, but with the way the mechanics are it would need an overhaul for them to achieve this.

By

The game

In my opinion it’s a great game and I love the way the game works with all of the other players in it but the gameplay itself isn’t that good for the gameplay itself so it’s a good one and it’s a great story but the game itself isn’t bad enough for the gameplay itself and I don’t see any issues at the moment I just want the gameplay is very interesting to play and the game itself has been a lot more interesting than it should have be so far but the gameplay itself has a really nice and unique look and overall gameplay that I think is very interesting in the gameplay that is just as well and really makes the gameplay is a bit of an enjoyable and interesting to watch as it was in my mind but the game itself and it’s a bit more interesting yyuuuuuuu and I like to think of the gameplay and I like it more so it’s just not

Great game with all of Supercell’s characters!

This game is an epic battle royale game where you squad up with characters from all of the games that Supercell has made and is similar to their Brawl Stars game modes “Showdown” and “Gem Grab” if they were combined, where 10 people are spawned in a world that changes as the player progresses through the game. These 10 players are battling each other for whoever can get the most gems, eliminating entities, buying characters from chests, and getting rid of the players with a lot of gems to progress in the game.

Although the game is great on release, it still has some bugs and fixes that it needs, so I will have to give this game 4 out of 5 stars. I would love to see this game become a completely different experience in the future, and I hope that Squad Busters will become widely known, just like their other games.

My day is completely ruined.

I woke up thinking I’d have a pretty good day. The sun was shining, the birds were singing. Then I downloaded this flaming trash heap that you guys call a mobile game. I started to tear up it was making me so sad. As a matter of fact, it’s so bad I can smell it. And it smells like rotten fish rolled up in a dirty diaper. The thought of playing this game for one more second makes me wanna gag. My entire day is ruined now that you forced this vile monstrosity of a game down my throat. Boom Beach is better than this and Boom Beach is the worst game I’ve ever laid eyes upon. I’d rather hear nails on a chalkboard for eternity than to play this bowl of dog water again. Now whenever I hear “squad busters” I will immediately get a wave of ptsd and break down into tears. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to sleep again knowing that the people who made this game are lurking in the damp, dark sewer that is Supercell hq. There’s this and then there’s war crimes. I can only hope that this abomination can be put down so that it will no longer torment those who have been wrapped in its slimy claws.

By

Not quite there, yet

The game is currently centered around luck and money. The combat is stale (to attack, all you have to do is stand still and do nothing…) and the concept of letting luck chose the characters you play makes winning less based off of your skill, but rather your luck; worsening this is the fact that you can actually spend in game currency to get boosts to your luck (and you can buy this currency using real money, much easier than grinding for hours).
The global release felt rushed and unpolished. Instead of rewarding gameplay, I only experienced bright, flashing colors and frustration when it came to my poor luck. There’s barely any skill in the combat system of the game: you can get teamed up on, get some poor characters, or get chased around an entire match.
On the positive side, the game has a pretty nice aesthetic to it. I really think this game can become better if it addresses it’s problems: the excessive amount of luck, the slow progression, and the lackluster combat.

By

This went global instead of clash mini?

I am so baffled that this game went global instead of clash mini. This game is extremely bland. Clash mini was a strategic game of chess with supercell characters, In coc u build up a base and attack others, in cr u strategically 1v1 others with a diverse set of cards, and then now… here in this boring game, everyone is running around grabbing as many gems as they could like it’s Black Friday. That’s literally all you do! Just run around, grab the most gems, and you win! I am so disappointed. Not only in supercells decision to make this game go global instead of clash mini… but also due fact that this game doesn’t match the same status quo as the other supercell games. The objective of this game sounds like it was made by kindergarteners playing recess, This game feels like another company decided to make a knockoff supercell game. Bring clash mini back, not just in cr, but in all it’s entirety. Killing clash mini was the worst business mistake you guys have ever made. I would even argue to say I believe clash mini would’ve been big in e sports.

Amazing

"Squad Busters," the new mobile game from Supercell, has generally received positive feedback from players and critics alike. The game combines characters from Supercell's popular titles like "Clash of Clans," "Brawl Stars," and "Hay Day" into a squad-based action format where players compete to collect the most gems in three-minute.

The game is praised for its polished, colorful visuals and engaging gameplay that remains fresh through varied match conditions and objectives. Despite its simple controls, it offers strategic depth, making it accessible yet challenging ,Squad Busters awakens my inner gem-grabbing,Squad Busters is a “love letter to Supercell games” says game. Additionally, "Squad Busters" is designed to appeal to both casual and competitive players, with rewards distributed regardless of match outcomes,Launch date set for Squad Busters, Supercell's first game in more than 5 years

Great game, heres some ideas

This is a great twist from the other Supercell games, and it's pretty interesting. First of all, there is a competitive idea with joystick functions. Another thing is the switch of rarity, now that coins are more valuable then the abundance of gems. It now has the touch of zooba pvp (if you've ever played Zooba). The idea is simple and fun to play. Progressing is simple. Winning games while increasing the size of your squad. One thing I don't like is that you have to stand still to fight. I get that you may not want to add another button for fighting, but for some time you just awkwardly stand there to see who is winning. It also adds a level of difficulty to the game itself. Other than that it is a really great game with a good HUD and UI. Can't wait to see what the future updates bring.

hopeful!!

I was pretty excited for this game to come out, and once it finally did I immediately tested out every aspect of the game. Not even 30 minutes into it I was burnt out, I feel like it’s a little too repetitive. Sure, it offers that low sense of accomplishment when you manage not to die by the hand of the people who somehow get 11 people on their squad, but the fact that you aren’t allowed to move while attacking is annoying. Not to mention the fact that you can’t get very close to others without it just attacking them for no reason. Another negative is the way I’ll be in the middle of a match and my squad will just start jerking all over the screen as I watch someone else take the gems I just earned. I even reported this issue and they told me that it was either a result of my internet or my phone. Sure my iPhone 11 is kinda old but it’s not THAT old. On top of that, 99% of the time I have very strong wifi connection… I have seen multiple reviews reporting the same thing and my mom also experiences this issue. I believe that in order for the game to reach its full potential and attract more people this is a problem that should be fixed. I shouldn’t need a top notch device and mind blowing internet to play a game with graphics this low. I’m not trying to hate but I really wish I could enjoy the game without dying from a glitch. Please fix this, developers!!!

Needs Balancing ASAP

First is matchmaking, there is a party together option but I still seem to find myself getting hurdled by 2-3 squads at once and then they never fight each other. We should be able to fight in squads not a free for all with squads inside it. Second is gear, yes there is a cooldown between uses but being able to start with fusions/epics at the start is almost game breaking. Having a fused troop rush you at the start is like hitting a worm with a electrical flyswatter, it’s overkill. With 4 minutes in a match maybe have the first minute with no skills? Third and final is colt and Shelly, they are both good in their respective place but are too over picked for sheer dps out put, 9-10 matches you’ll find Atleast a handful of squads with one of them fused. Shelly is basically el primo for ranged attacks and colt is a mini heavy. Pair it with Archer Queen and it’s virtually unstoppable unless they don’t know what they’ve done. Overall fun game until you get teamed up on.

P2W With Little Reward for F2P

This game sounds fun in theory but the micro transactions ruin the game completely. Want to steamroll everyone in a match? Shill out a couple bucks for some extremely advantageous power-ups. Want to open more chests to get stronger and better units? Here you go: pay up and you can get the best units in the game. I have not even started talking about the gameplay itself.

It rips off from other MOBAs and has very clunky AI. Your units may attack the unit you want to damage or hey let’s go focus on a boss that walked in instead and get steamrolled because the AI decided to attack the wrong thing. Want to kill a player? Have fun chasing them around with a sprint boost and the only way to attack them being to stand still and do completely nothing.

This game is extremely frustrating to play even when you get 1st place. You only get 3 chests max and after that you need to wait a few hours to get one. So why not just play without a chest? Oh, are you saying that you’ll be able to feasibly complete the events they have each day that require 10 chests to finish? You didn’t have enough chests or money to give us? Too bad. Doing a round without a chest only gives you battle pass progress and, if you’re lucky, a level and a few hammers used to decorate your lobby.

P2W: Powerups

This game is totally pointless.. unless, you consider buying powerups for an advantage fun! You must also enjoy having to buy those powerups every single game or face players who have them! I mean who doesn’t love spending time running around and competing against players who get more value out of every move they make? Is this game fun? No, it could have been decent but without equal footing there is NO POINT in competing.. Do people enjoy races where some participants get to start a quarter down the track? Would sports be entertaining if one team had to take a penalty at the end of every play? No.. or course not.. the entertainment and value in these activities comes from honest competition; this game spits in the face of that all just to line these devs and their investors pockets a little more! But who doesn’t need just a little more money at any and all costs!? But let’s not pretend we don’t know who the people behind this game and these decisions are, and how they are going to move forward.. I knew what this game was gonna be since first hearing about it on from Clash Royale but gave it a chance. I will be deleting this game and all other supercell games, and boycotting the company indefinitely. For me this game was a litmus test for the future their company and I have better places to spend my time/money. 0/5 ⭐️

Ruined By Rates

I’ve been playing this game since it soft launched and it’s pretty fun, but there are 3 issues I have with the game. Firstly, the character rates are horrendous, I am at royal world and have yet to unlock any new character besides those from the squad journey. I’m not just trying to whine about rates since this directly affects gameplay as when you open chests in battle, some of the options you get are from characters you don’t have unlocked, which is completely unfair as I get forced into choosing one character because my other 2 are locked. Another big issue is how all characters contribute to the squad journey the same amount, how does that make sense? Why does an epic give +100 points while a common does the same? With how much harder they are to achieve, they should change rares to +200 and epics to +300. Lastly, the concept of MEGA units seems awfully boring and unfair, as they’re kind of pay to win. Apart from these issues the game is somewhat fun, but I don’t really see the appeal of chests every 3 hours, since that is my only drive for the game. I hope to see them fix these issues in future updates since I can see this game doing numbers with the right updates.

Game is good but needs a few tweaks to be great

Here comes Supercell with another cash grab right. All jokes aside the game has fun gameplay but feels somewhat luck dependent. You either get a strong start and go for 1st or you get unlucky and just hope to keep your streak alive. Not fun to loose when you feel hopeless against your opponent. Another thing, the whole limited plays thing has been in the mobile gaming industry for awhile and its just not fun. If I wanna play a bunch of games I should be able to get rewards from them. Lastly, I don’t know why we aren’t able to customize our teams of characters we want to bring with us. Adding something like a deck from clash royal would add much more replay-ability to the game and also take away some of the rng aspect of getting characters that don’t suit your build that run. Those are my main points don’t hate the game but it’s not above an average mobile game rn. Also, this is to be expected with supercell, I was disappointed by the amount of instant micro transactions that I found in the beginning of the game. I get they need to make money but it just feels like the game was made in a way to directly support them making money and not just making the game.

Pay to Win?

This is the newest supercell installment and while it has great visuals and graphics and is a fun hodgepodge of all their past games it really leaves a lot to be desired. The game promotes PvP but often the best way to win matches is to entirely avoid your opponents because when you attack it makes you weaker and an easy target for another enemy. Gameplay is fun but at the end there is too much on the screen to know what is happening and it’s hard to tell if you are having any impact at all. The only way for your characters to attack is to stand still which just makes you a sitting duck. It’s a fun but I think the PvP mechanics need some work.

Then there is the fact that you can get these keys to open chests in matches to get an advantage against other players. And these keys you can buy for real life money. There are also super units that you can buy to get an advantage in the game. All in all this just makes it pay to win in a real unfriendly way to free to play players. I think if there are special times that can be used to gain an advantage mid battle they need to not be accessed with real money. I like the concept of the game but it really feels like it should have been developed more before releasing.

Great, addictive game with some tweaks needed

This is a super fun game and I love the randomness of the maps and squad which takes the pressure off deck building and lets you just get to the good part! However the 3 chest tickets at a time is a perplexing choice, the matches go so fast that 3 tickets = <15mins of gameplay at a time. And the cost of the tickets is way too high relative to other things in the store.

I get you don’t want people to burn out playing too much all at once but the limit is too low and the recharge time is too long. I played with no chest tickets and ended up screwing myself by progressing to a new world but not having unlocked all the characters from the previous one; since those new characters still show up in the random deck I’ll have chests in game I open with only one choice.

Supercell is a great dev though (played a LOT of Clash Roayle) and I’m so impressed with how great this game is at launch - I haven’t encountered any bugs or lag - I’m sure as the dust settles these tweaks will be made as needed.

Meh game

I don’t uSUaLlY do reviews on phone games but this game I guess I just had to smh …..first off random loot drops ….random maps….an just the randomness of it all….. it’s basically like gem grab on another particular phone game I played but it’s nothing but gem grab nothing else an u don’t even get to pick the characters u want to upgrade or play with it’s random or u spend coins on upgrades to keep shuffling around the randomness but it’s a fast paced game for the short attention spanned kids/people….anyway I just feel like it’s an unfinished game or a cash grab if u would say 🥴and don’t get me started on the chest refresh time …u only get 3 unless u purchase more with coins if not plz wait 2hours for your next chest …..I honestly don’t see this game lasting that long tbh with the limited amount of characters and the randomness of it all …..think of brawl stars but only gem grab nothing else u run around the map fighting monsters and collecting coins/gems u don’t keep but spend on chest an hey u might get the character u want or just 3 chickens 🐔 …..it’s a fun game but I just don’t see myself getting invested like brawl stars

Lots of potential, just ok right now

When squad busters announced it was going global I lowkey wasn’t that excited. It looked kinda repetitive and not very skillful. Now that I’ve played it for a couple days I must say it’s better then I expected, but still not up to the standards of other supercell games. It has a lot of potential and I know it’s at its very early stages, but It’s not a game I could play for hours like brawl stars or clash royale. I really like the art style and the plaza idea, the gameplay can be sort of luck base at times tho. When your battling someone else, it’s hard to know who will win. Anyway, I had an idea for something they could add and even tho the devs won’t read this ima say it anyway lol. I think a solo dungeon crawler game mode could be great for this game. You can fight monsters and collect characters like regular, but you could solve puzzles to open doors or do really awesome boss fights without another player fighting you as well. Just an idea I had, but one day I think this game will be really fun. For now, it’s pretty good just needs some time.

Brawl stars 2.0 but worse

This had me so hyped that a mix of multiple Supercell games were merging to make a new ultimate game. But this feels like a more boring and slow paced version of gem rush in brawl stars, with the only difference being you get multiple characters. You can’t manually attack (brawl stars you can) the matchmaking is random (brawl stars has trophy MM depending on how much you played as a character + wins / loss) it has pay-to-win aspects (brawl stars didnt due to the matchmaking). the game is entirely based on running around and hoping you have good RNG and hoping the other squads (many seem to be AI controlled) don’t have that. There is no social system or clans like the other games, and it is super repetitive playing the same thing over and over. I played for about an hour and wished I would have downloaded brawl stars again in that time. I had extremely high expectations for this company and game, but this is a major letdown. Save your time and download brawlstars if you want a better version of this game.

3rd Party Fest

This game is nothing but getting 3rd partied and running away. It’s pretty annoying just killing someone, being low health, then having another person come in and clean up. There is no passive healing for in between fights. Once you get the medic it’s OKAY.
Also good luck if someone actually has a brain and just runs the whole time away from you. You don’t get loot during that time and they don’t. So once you give up trying to chase this one person. You have no loot and you are probably going to die soon to someone who has been farming the whole time.
Greg is OP when you spawn somewhere with a lot of trees. A Goblin is probably the best to start off with. Trees give a lot of loot, monsters do not. Bo is okay but doesn’t do enough to kill another players troop.
Where the heck am I suppose to find the Mega troop? Over 50 games and I have not gotten him before.
You really rely on being lucky every game. Also there’s no real point the game too I guess. You can just farm the game and run around. You don’t have to even try to kill another players troops. I have had many games where only 1 person get busted.

decent game ig but.

Don’t get me wrong. It’s a good game with simple features but engaging that makes you want to keep playing, as the idea is good (not the complete idea is fresh tho) and the mechanics are really easy to learn. But there are many problems, such as this game seems like a “cash grab” aka p2w. Like upgrading ur units can take absolute FOREVER but ofc there are many deals in the shop you can use to get quick and op troops to get some free wins. Also the mega unit thing seems very p2w considering you can really mostly get mega units from the season pass thingy which you pay abt 7 bucks and they r very op. Also tbh it really annoys me that it doesn’t really require any skill like, brawl stars requires u an ok amount of skill to get into high ranks and stuff but squad busters its like based on “luck”. Yes ik the troops u get r randomized and but people who still don’t know which people r good for ur squad can get easy places if u jst get lucky w ur chests and stuff. Nice mechanics and simple but fun idea but more seems like a cash grab compared to brawl stars.

Experience

Overall the game experience is fun if you spend a lot of money on the shop items to become stronger. Seems to me that it’s very predictable when it comes to getting a streak and having it lost. I was on a 30 top 5 win streak when wouldn’t you guess it I am only able to obtain a goblin, chicken, or a Greg. I used a about 16 re rolls throughout that game. On top of that 2 or 3 epic chest and a fusion chest. Which the fusion was only a chicken or a Greg. Like what am I to do. I’m not getting speed boost characters or chickens when I need them. Not to mention when you're attacking someone, a lot of times your troops will just start splitting the attack on other things near by even if the person you’re fighting is legit right on top of you and they’re the closest target. Only have 1 set of boots, and that happens ever single time I get a good win streak going on then I either get busted or I loose because I get 6th place. It’s ridiculous, if I’m not spending money on the game I’m not keeping my win streak and I get that it happens but it doesn’t seem random when it has happen to me over 11 times now where I get over 6-12 win streaks and soon as I buy chest tickets or get a free one I will instantly get into a game where this happens. Not like a supercell game go make me this mad. I have multiple accounts on most of their games. For instants I have 11 accounts that I actively play on clash of clans, and 2 boom beach, 3 hayday, and 5 clash royale.

RnG Rage Bait Game For Trynards

So many things wrong with this game. No real fighting ability besides hitting the speed boost button and spells that barely pop up. Many times in this game you’ll watch as someone just sits there and waits for you to finish fighting or looting to take you out. If you manage to get away and use all your boost that comes back so slow unless you get speed characters which are mostly trash and you have manage to keep them alive long enough to lvl them up so they don’t die in one shot. Even if you have an evolved team if you run into enough characters with stun abilities you will lose. Out of the 3 options you get to pick characters if you don’t have them unlocked you can now be down to two or even one option to pick. If the rng decides not let you evolve you will be walking around with a pack of ants waiting to be stepped on because chests are now 25+ coins and if you try and fight monsters you have bigger team just waiting to take you out once again. Bot players who leave early are also in the game so if an enemy were to run into a bot player they basically have a free level up for them. The game is fun for a little while but once you see it’s boring loop of loot, loot, get 1kill then run the rest of the game I hope you decide to play something else.

What’s with the bad reviews?

This game is awesome! The music is surprisingly addictive, and the game is just plain so much fun! Considering that this game was just released a week ago, this game has started out really strong. I hear about this game being accused of pay-to-win mechanics and slow progress for new players. Considering that this game is free and THERE ARE NO ADS WHATSOEVER (I heard Supercell is losing millions in revenue because of this, look it up), I see no reason to condemn Supercell for trying to monetize this. Progress doesn’t seem slow; I’m a free player, and after 5h 45m of gameplay I’m at level 31, almost the royal world. I understand progress could be a lot faster for payers, but it still doesn’t make the game un-fun for free players. You don’t have to be first to have fun with this, in fact, you don’t even have to be in a good position. There’s just one thing: though there are a lot of game modifiers, there aren’t a lot of game modes. The only game mode is gem collecting so far. But again, this game was released a week ago, and the modifiers are so unique that they feel like different game modes. This game is so much fun! Definitely get it!

This game is a scam.

Gathers data on your tendencies and then always gives you bad options when you have a high win streak. Not a fan of the auto attack, there is no skill, find someone and stand there. So boring. They want you to farm stuff, but you can’t when people are attacking you 10-20 seconds into the match because they got lucky on their first pull. Always have to waste coins keeping the streak going because it always cheats, gives you terrible rolls and constantly puts you in no-win situations. Use reroll tokens and literally get the same three terrible options you just didn’t want. Or the other ones that you never pick that are weak and no one else wants either. Many games where everyone else is always running around never running out of turbo but you are slow and can’t build a good squad because of the cheating system and can never get away from anyone. Games where not even a minute in and you just get your first fusion, and then someone already with 3 somehow rolls in and destroys you. I have a feeling that people are already cheating with the way some of these matches unfold. It’s a cool concept, but poorly executed and a just another money grab. You will have to spend hundreds if you want to get anywhere in this game. It has an even lower 3.0 rating on Google Play, so the verdict is in: this game stinks.

Game is okay but MASSIVE pay to play

The concept of this game isn’t really new, it’s been around with games like brawl stars, but I think there is potential. Supercell probably spent a lot of money on this game and advertisement so I’m not shocked they made this game an absolute pay to play. The card leveling system is a joke. You have to wait something like 2 hours just to get 1 chest for a game just for this chest to give you 2 characters. Not only that, but you wait this long and then get the worst RNG and get smoked. Next, the gold system is by far the worst mechanic in a Supercell game. Once you finish the gem pass, regardless if you bought the paid portion, and the squad league journey, it is a scam. Even during the grind of the gem pass it is a scam. There is no legit way to earn gold, you have to purchase it. This brings me back to the comment about how they spent a lot of money to develop and advertise this game, I don’t expect them to fix this very soon as they try to recoup what they spent. Unfortunately it might kill the game but hey at least they’ll make an extra dollar. I could go into a bunch of other stuff like how the game lags all over the place and you can tell only half the time you are winning and how you have to stop to fight, but there’s plenty of reviews that cover this garbage already.

Another beautifully crafted pay to win!!

When you first load up into this game your greeted with some promise of, everyone is on an equal playing field, and you fight to get coins to unlock more squad members to help you get more gems to ultimately win the game. After you get done with being spoon feed, SUPERCELL opens the shop to you, you don’t have to play a game after the tutorial if you wanted to, almost all characters have the potential of being unlocked via in-game purchases, the first game i played after the tutorial really opened my eyes, people can start a game with a barbarian king?! What? The barbarian king is wayyyy to over powered for someone to start the game with. Another example, my coworker is pretty far along in the game and showed me that two 2-star evolved barbarians, one 2-star colt, one evolved 2-star medic, and an evolved 2-star Greg can take out another players entire squad but if that same said player has a barbarian king, YOU. WILL. LOSE. No matter how evolved or starred up your squad may be, the barbarian king will show you why they call him king. He’s broken. If you’re going to have champions like, then make those the characters EVERYONE can chose from to start with.

Pretty fun

For the people complaining about the controls, it’s because there’s a few unexplained mechanics that you need to learn. Kiting is super important, and certain people also have different attack speed. The targeting is always towards the enemy towards the center of the circle, and as long as you’re moving you won’t attack anyone unintentionally. You can place your team between a chest and an enemy to keep farming even while choosing a character, and as long as you keep merging the costs stay pretty low. Shooting people slows them down when they run away, and people with stuns like primo or Shelly can really turn fights in your favor. If you start with someone high damage like goblin or colt, you can kill a lot of early game players if they have bad starting champs. If you get an early rage spell by luck it’s also a pretty guaranteed kill. You can use bomb spells to farm clumps of trees and carrots pretty quickly. If you pay attention to these things, the game plays pretty smoothly. Overall, I’ve been having a lot of fun with this.

By

Why did you make it pay to win?

If you don’t know, one of the biggest mechanics of the game are the MEGA units, which are essentially extremely Overpowered troops that you need to spend REAL MONEY on. Sure, you can get a few for free in the season pass and all, but you run through them pretty quickly. My big problem here is that I have had multiple matches that I am really enjoying, until I run into someone with a MEGA Unit. At that point I may as well just leave the match because there is no way that I’m going to try fighting them. It’s not fun AT ALL to fight a MEGA Unit, and it’s basically a free win for anyone who spends the money. Also, you can buy items such as keys and rerolls that allow you to literally open chests during a match for free and reroll chests while everyone else has to spend the coins they gathered during the match or spend money themselves. Once again, you can buy these with the in game currency that is given for free, but this currency is pretty scarce, and can be bought with real money. Can you IMAGINE if Brawl Stars allowed you to spend gems in order to gain power cubes??? Or if Clash Royale allowed you to spend gems to make a troop cost 0 elixer??? Why don’t you just sell progression like Brawl Stars and Clash Royale do???

Disappointing new game that is in need of changes desperately

Initially, I believed it was great and fun to play with games with friends as the rewards were cool, characters had tributes to brawl stars, clash royale, and clash of clans, and leveling up while also progressing your squad journey was easy. Now that two weeks have passed and I just got to Beach World, the difficulty has increased tenfold and the squad journey feels impossible to even get to level 90. The games just feel monotonous and dull and competition feels like it’s harder because I am free to play and around this progress in the game it seems my character units are significantly weaker than those that have paid money to get to the beach world and unlock the characters. The only “new thing” are the maps and some modes but with how poor the chances of unlocking new units I don’t have, the game is just uninspiring. Furthermore, getting a unit to 4 stars is just a never-ending grind, I feel like a hamster on a wheel because of how small the rewards are even after getting up to a 54 win streak. There is not really a benefit after you get above 5 wins in a row. It’s ironic how even getting 100 wins in a row doesn’t result in better rewards, it’s only pathetic. I hope Supercell wakes up and decides to make some changes or this game is going to die very quickly.

Incredibly disappointing

For years Supercell discussed wanting to make the next great game. Took them 6 years after Brawl Stars was released to release this, and it feels like they took everything they learned from all their prior games, took all their company values, and did the opposite. The game has almost no multiplayer or competitive aspects. It was released without clans. I highly doubt it succeeds much if they don’t do a massive pre registering game within all of their other games, which are frankly better concepts and more lasting ones.

The core concept of the game seems to be a fun mindless game with little-moderate skill involved and a lot more luck and rng. Which makes it like a kids game, until you realize how pay to win the game is. Opponents regularly have better characters simply by using items or having higher leveled up characters, and with an inability to know how good opponent squads are and if you can beat them, it makes fighting other squads a horrible idea most of the time.

The other Supercell game that is pay to win is Clash Royale, but at least Clash Royale was, to me and millions of others, a revolutionary concept. This is not that. So it becomes a pay to win luck based kids game that isn’t fun to play outside of the 3 chest matches. If it wasn’t for the Supercell IP characters I wouldn’t even think the game is a Supercell game.

Buggy

To start I want to say I love the actual game play, it’s fun, strategic and has a great feel to it! Overall the game would be perfect, besides two major bug. Now I don’t know if it’s because I have an older phone or not but whenever a game ends and I click the open chest button it never loads, the screen turns black forever. The only way to by pass it, is to restart SquadBusters and loading back in before finally getting the chest, not terrible but still pretty annoying especially because it happens EVERY time. Secondly, I’ve found that the game take a lot of power to run often causing my phone to get super hot, this later leads to crashes mid-game causing me to lose. This often makes me rage quit and stop playing for a few days! I also want to say that this has never happened and doesn’t happen when I play other games, including other supercell games, so I would believe it has something to do with the game. Again I love the game play and hope that I can play it without these bugs happening so often!

SUPER CELL DOES IT AGAIN

As a long time fan of Clash Royal and then Brawl Stars, I’ve waited a very long time for Super Cell to finally make a new game. While I don’t think Squad Busters is quite as good as those two masterpieces, it’s still very early in the release, and historically these devs devote a lot of support into their games, refining them to get better and better. More importantly, the game is a ton of fun right out of the gate. It has that “just one more game” addiction that the previous two had. And just like those previous games, the monetization here is on point. Most free to play games are riddled with ads and/or ridiculous pay to win. Super Cell does neither of those, instead incentivizing you to spend some money because you want to. My only complaint is that there is no clan system in place. At least not yet. All their previous games feature one to great effect. I recommend this game highly. You got nothing to lose. Just be aware that the first early stages are rather simple, but the game opens up as you unlock stages and characters.

Fun game but coop is very unfair

Overall I enjoy the game a lot but there are a couple issues. I do not think that groups and singles should be able to play together. It’s not very fun to be playing by myself and be constantly ganged up on by players who are obviously playing together. It’s pretty much impossible to win against a group of people because they can just trap you between them and even if you have a bigger squad you get wrecked because it’s two or three against one. The people playing in groups don’t care about beating each other because they keep their streak and get the extra taps for chests by being in the top 5. Groups should be playing with other groups and singles should play with singles. If the game stays the same in regards to coop I don’t see myself continuing to play in the future. Other issues are minor. I don’t like that megas are single use. This makes the game feel very pay to play. I do not mind spending some money on the game because I do enjoy it and want to support a game I enjoy. However it is a bit excessive currently how much money you have to spend to stay competitive.
