I had a Lorex system installed on the word of my tech guy two weeks ago. At first I was using the Lorex cloud which was somewhat stable. I then upgraded to the pro version what a complete disaster nothing work as it should..the notification works in reverse I get alerts with no video or pictures play back is the sketchy. When you do get videos it’s of moving car shadows from the streets and random stray cats. I called Lorex for help they do answer the phone but none of them are familiar with LorexPro . I am still waiting for a call back…this thing is in first stage beta testing at best stay clear unless you desire high blood pressure.
App worked fine on my iPad (7th generation) until middle of December 2024. Now app will not load. All apps are updated, iPad updated, turned iPad off and on, deleted and reinstalled app.
Frustrated.

Lorex Cloud broke for me on May 11th and stopped sending motion notifications. It wasn’t the greatest app but at least it functioned reliably for motion notifications. Lorex’s fix was to start using the Pro app, which does now notify me again, but doesn’t save a log of all events in LorexPro . All things considered, LorexPro functions a bit worse than Cloud. Please change it so that all motion events are captured in a single viewable list, regardless of whether or not you open the notification on your phone (currently seems to be the only way to get LorexPro to capture an event). ALSO - please add the Live View option to the Home Screen, so no button taps are required to open the feeds.. you just open LorexPro and see your cams, just like Cloud did. This worked way better on Cloud - you could open LorexPro immediately after a notification and catch activity, with Pro it wastes valuable seconds in having to fiddle with button presses and subsequent loading times. We open LorexPro to see feeds, not to waste time during an event that’s occurring. Many options from Cloud are not available here also. Would it be so hard to make an all-inclusive app for the diverse system it connects with? I spent almost $2,000 on my system, I think it’d be a good idea for you to perfect, Lorex. Just about the only thing right is the darker theme. Please, fix this!!!
The update DID NOT FIX the crashing issue on the iPad. Still happens every single day
Lorex home is way easier and better.
If only the nvr would be compatible with that app.
Apple device doesn’t get motion notifications.
LorexPro looks nice, that’s about it. No notifications pop up on phone. Second connection is horrible most cameras don’t connect. System should let you save your display to show how many cameras.
I recently had to change to using the Lorex Pro app after using the regular Lorex app for over 4 years. It’s been a huge disappointment, including my FIVE calls to customer service where I was run around in circles, while receiving no help whatsoever. The Pro app has no way to snooze notifications, along with the Events Page not listing motion events unless my iPhone is open & the Pro app is actively on the screen. I’d highly discouraged anyone reading this from buying a Lorex security camera system. Go somewhere else!
I have an iPhone and I can not get my settings to save for push notifications. It looks like a known problem however I’ve had LorexPro for several months now and still no fix. Can you please fix this issue. I use this for my business and I want to be alerted when something is going on.
LorexPro constantly fails to connect, even when all my cameras are online and my phone has full Wi-Fi signal. I’ve tried everything — force closing, restarting — and it only works sometimes. Most of the time, it just doesn’t connect at all. For a security system that costs over $1,000, this is unacceptable. The hardware may be good, but LorexPro makes it nearly useless. Lorex really needs to fix this.
I have an LNZ3522 and LNZ32P4B works good with Lorex Pro except for the playback and remote view..I can’t find anything online that can explain, I expect they answer back that i o need an NVR.
I love the Lorex products BUT! I am unable to view my 4K Halo series at full resolution on IoS 26. The cameras are the H30 4K+ 12MP.
Seem little better then cloud app but either app work same for now unless LorexPro make lot improvement otherwise very similar they still have not made software for Mac m Chip
So far I like LorexPro however you should be able to control all the functions of the camera through LorexPro, even WiFi camera’s, Lorex needs to be able to allow users to add other not brands and camera as well. I have a WiFi camera connected to LorexPro , but I can’t use the privacy feature, that needs to be fixed. LorexPro is better than the cloud app, you need to get rid of the could app and home app and stick with the pro app and all a universal connection through all cameras in Lorex’s line up, and all camera features should be available. Also to allow camera first time setup in LorexPro .

LorexPro is so much better than previous Lorex apps. Lots of nice features like continuous playback, fast forward, slo-mo. Recorded playback is now seamless and you don’t lose your zoom setting between motion and non-motion clips. Best of all live video is smooth and doesn’t crash. Finally an app that works with my Lorex NVR!!
LorexPro is working great now on my iPhone, iPad and Mac. I prefer using the Lorex Pro app over the Lorex Cloud app.
Awesome to use on my iPad after the recent update.
This would definitely be for the prosumer/IT enthusiast due to it being just an ip feed. Regular consumers should use the standard Lorex app with all its features.
Great job Lorex for keeping it bare bones, no data collected, using open source software to drive this!

Lorex professional line of NVRs and cameras, in conjunction with the Lorex Pro App are just top notch. Most standard users can’t grasp the system because of all the features. You do need to understand CCTV tech to appreciate and properly rate Lorex and the Pro App. Too Notch and a must have your your business surveillance needs
