Game breaking crashes

Yknow I thought the reviews were just people having old phones and WW2CountriesAtWar is compatible with older devices. Luckily I don’t have to face that problem, BUT I STILL FACE CRASHES. I don’t know why, BUT ITS ALWAYS TURN 33 on the full size maps. I spend a decent time on a game then BOOM continuous crashes that won’t allow me to progress. Games are long especially ones evolving all nations, so these hard crashes screws with it all the time! The game itself doesn’t restart, but the turn does. I’m not kidding when I played the same round 33 OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN. The game is clearly buggy and unbalanced at times. Some games for NO REASON all other nations will declare war on you, but that’s it. JUST ON YOU, so you’re stuck fighting literally EVERYONE, while get this, THEY WONT ATTACK EACH OTHER. You, the only human player, fight ALL OF the other countries. And even when you do fight in alliances, your allied countries are COMPLETE TRASH compared to if they were AGAINST you. I can overlook ALL of that ish, if it weren’t for the hard game crashes. Don’t waste your life on this games like I have. I want it back

World at War

Colonies at war is 5 ⭐️. There is only one very minor issue in that game (subjectively, I think the territories in Asia have too high of value). So I had high expectations for this game. However, there are too many glitches (for example, my ships just disappear; and even if they were attacked, the game doesn’t show me they were attacked). And yes, I am playing on the most current version of the game. Additionally, while I understand the increased complexity of the game considering the superior war tactics of the time period, mobility and user control is too finicky. Further, while I really like the new aircraft carriers, it is way too difficult to maintain a fleet of ships at the hardest-level. I never wrote reviews and am only writing this because I am a big fan of the developer, and while I know he always cites “time restraints,” I hope he puts a little more TLC in developing this game. It has great potential. And if you are frustrated with this game like me, go check out colonies at war. You won’t be disappointed.

Good however a couple of problems.

I am a fan of your previous works and was excited when I saw this game came out but I began to have problems with the game interface. I do get that this game is new and there will be bugs and such and I’m sure the game is alright so far. Down to the problem that disabled me from playing the game unless it starts me off with an army. When I had to buy troops or create an army, at the bottom of the screen the part listing the troops currently in the land would extend all the way above the accept but so I couldn’t even combine troops, make armies or anything that I need the accept button for. Overall from the missions where I started off with armies already created the game seemed good but I can only hope this bug gets fixed in the future.

Colonies at War Was a Better Game

Not sure which came first, but Colonies of War is better. Now I do enjoy this game a LOT, but it has quite a few issues that the other game never had.

1. Making peace/alliances is next to impossible in this game compared to CaW. And costs thousands of dollars even at start of match.

2. Division size limits are a pain endgame when you are stuck moving 10+ divisions on land and sea. No such restriction in CaW.

3. My fleets keep vanishing out of the blue. I know they were not destroyed as no enemy fleets are in the area. I’ve lost 6+ carriers plus escorts at a time to this bug. Do not reappear at my capital. Not happened once on CaW, but happens almost half a dozen times each play through on the free for all and similar game modes of this game.

4. Trade? A great feature in CaW. Does not exist here.

5. Campaign missions keep switching to “Not complete” statue even though I’ve beaten the whole campaign. Has not happened once in CaW.

So overall, 3 out of 5 stars only because the game is so addicting. Until my fleets vanish mid-match and I log out in frustration.

Easy ain’t always easy

The graphics are not pretty, and can be a little silly, but they are clear, so they do their job. Easy ain’t always easy, as my title says. Historical accuracy is lacking somewhat, simply because these scenarios are not historically accurate. How about bombing Pearl Harbor, month after month? The history is expansive, running through the 50’s, and the Chinese Communist Party’s war against the Nationalists. One of my favorite aspects of this game, is the ability to shop, allowing you to determine where to direct the nation’s resources, and what to build. The map is laid out somewhat like the Total War series maps. What else can I say? The game has flaws, which is why I gave it four stars, but it’s a very playable game.

Good

Hello I have been looking forward to playing this for a while however just looking it over could you add a mode like in colonies at war 1861 where you pick any of the countries and just try and get as much territory until you get enough to win and can play on, also please add in the rest of the world will that be added eventually like in colonies at war that map that was like perfect had every region my other thing would be that when u want to do a troop transfer it sometimes doesn’t let you really I think it might be a glitch doesn’t really let you combine troops

Great game

This game is one of the only games I have on my phone that I can just play for hours on end and lose track of time.

There are bugs that occur once and a while or the game crashes. A new bug I recently found is the if any nation reaches developmental level five and then gets over 100% in level 5 all nations stop developing entirely. It was really frustrating for me because I was very close to developmental level 5 and now I can’t get there because Russia is at 100% developmental

Best game ever

I have loved every single one of wombi’s games, and have played them for years. I am absolutely blown away with the growth of this game creator. Each one gets more and more advanced, but I still love playing colonies at war and french and indian war because they’re still so unique. The missions are so fun, i love the progression of the war. After i beat them all i play the global maps as pretty much all of the different countries. I’ve never written a review before but this game is hands down the best game i’ve ever played.

For the creator

This game is cool and everything but could you add a mode where everyone starts at their original starting points but only with one tile of land and no one is aligned to anyone kinda how it was in the older ones where you could form an alliance rather than have someone align themselves to you randomly or have a huge group against you for no reason or a huge group fighting with you this is kinda just advice but it would be really cool to see a mode like the one I spoke of the game is great though

It’s good, but it could be excellent.

I love this game, I’ve been playing it for quite a while. I have the paid version and it’s great. However I feel like the game is lacking some simple things that the WW3 game has, such as being able to pick your alliance. I just wish I could do interesting things like play as Japan, yet be with the Soviets rather than Axis or something like that. Also the game would greatly benefit from a sandbox mode, where you can mess around with alliances and do whatever you want.

Maybe sandbox?

I really like the game and im addicted to it. But with the system of this game there’s been an itch I’ve had. If you read the title of this you know what I’m saying. Perhaps you could add a sandbox mode, it could be limited in it’s ways of making scenarios but as long as you can choose where to place armies, the tiles countries have, your player country and alliances/ wars it’s good and useful. Maybe there’s something that would be important in sandbox that I forgot you could add it and maybe add some updates to it every now and then. Just thinks it’s a good idea.

Amazing

This game is amassing everything it’s simple almost perfect but in the simulation battle for Berlin I noticed that it starts in June 1945 but d-day hadent happend yet d-day happend a year earlier and the soveit front is off you need to have the baltics Bulgaria Bosnia and Croatia be part of Soveits and Romania needs to be free and aligned with the soveits union you also need to make it to where France is a country with all there land back but they need to have a small amount of troops with alleid troops from britan and USA be on there front lines and you need to add Norway to be apart of Germany so in total Germany should only have starting German lands except Prussia they need to have Latvia to be the konisbrug pocket and it should have max forts with elite troops in it and Germany should have NT Italy and Denmark plus Norway. I’m sorry if this seems really critical and mean but i don’t really know how to put it another way and I really suggest this game for anyone who wants hoi4 but can’t have it this game is truly amazing and adds a revolutionary way of iOS gameplay I hope you will fix this soon

WW2 Countries at War

Just finished playing through the game and I really enjoyed just as Colonies at War it is possible to win if you don’t use a Risk strategy going into it. I really enjoyed each of the campaigns and my only real complaint is how some places are not accurate to their names to the time. However gameplay is wonderful, AI more skilled, and another wonderful experience as I had in Colonies at War. My recommendations for those seeking a introduction to the series is to play Colonies at War as it doesn’t have as many features as this and War in Europe. Keep up the great work I’m excited to see where it’ll go!

Amazing game

I don’t think I have ever written a review for a game before until now. This game is extremely enjoyable and is so addicting. It is by far the best phone game I’ve ever played. Amazing job by the creator, solid job on everything.

I did have a quick question in the instance in which you did in fact see this review. Are you working on or plan on doing a modern day version of this game? I think that would be awesome and offer a really solid end point in your series. You could do like the iraq war, Ukraine war now, and even create mock scenarios like you’ve already done and do something like, the world at war, China vs US, Russia vs US, just stuff like that or even China & Russia against NATO. Anyways that’s all I have to say and I am hoping to hear that you are going to make another one of these games and whatever time period you plan on doing it in I’m sure will be awesome.

New game ideal plus game fixes

I think you should fix the fact that some of the leaders don’t know when to quit, sometimes the leaders go to war until the end just because their Ally's don’t agree with it even though they wouldn’t have any a new game idea is a modern war,A game in which it stretches from Vietnam all the way to the Russo Ukraine war and for each mode it has a world map it’s a big stretch but hey I be,dive in you devs. Back to this game though I also think you should add contracts to this game just like colonies and the game idea I have(if you do it) but hey y’all are on the right teach developing wise this is coming from an easy inc fan as well much love.

Amazing game

I played the board game Axis and Allies years ago and this game is exactly what I need. I do have a few suggestions.

Give each nation faction bonuses or negatives. Nothing too crazy but just enough to make nations feel different when you play them. Some examples would be Germany gets a boost to tank and submarine stats, Russia has cheaper conscripts, England gets a boost to naval stats, etc.

I would also like to see battleships able to bombard coastal areas from afar just like artillery does. It would make battleships more useful and worth the cost. Only giving battleships this ability would mean it’s not overpowered but also fits with real life landings that had air and naval gun cover for the landing troops.

10/10 Amazing

I’ve played Colonies for years and loved it so figured I’d try this one, and it did not disappoint. 100% an improvement and love the more complicated and interactive mechanics, especially the artillery divisions. The scenarios are fun and can be difficult, but not so much as to make it too frustrating. In my opinion, there’re really only two things I’d add to make the game that much better. I’d love a more advanced diplomacy mechanic; maybe non-aggression pacts or trade or something. Second, maybe add WW1 missions or more Cold War. Maybe even a whole game for WW1 or the Cold War! (Which would be AWESOME) Anyway, just wanted to say I love the game and am super excited for the WW3 instalment in the series; been tracking development for months. Thank You.

Yo thanks for reading my review

Also i apologize for my sloppy review and i appreciate the response just thought I would make my response un sloppy and add a few thing’s about bug’s and other stuff.I was wondering if you could add small stuff like the npcs asking you if they can join your alliance instead of automatically joining and I’ve found a bug i was at war with another country like 80 turns in or something like that and almost all of them had like 18-25 Div armies and there wasn’t much i could do. Just letting you know isn’t that big of a deal. I love this game thank you for making these games. And one last thing i was wondering if you could increase the cap to like 20-25 Div to make fights more interesting fine if not. Thanks for reading this.

Surprisingly addictive game

I downloaded this after playing Colonies at War. This game has been a ton of fun, and I get absorbed in it for hours at a time without realizing it.
It’s a lot more complex than colonies at war, but still a ton of fun. The limitations on army size, and morale make a huge difference with battles compared to colonies at war. There’s occasionally some small bugs, but nothing that makes a big impact on the gameplay itself. There’s still a ton of gameplay I haven’t gotten to/tried out yet, especially when you factor in how many playable nations there are.
The one thing I’d like to see added would be a sandbox mode, especially for testing out different army compositions in different situations.
All in all, this game is a ton of fun and definitely worth downloading

Honestly the best WW2 game

I have played a bunch of strategy, turn based WW2 games and this is easily the best. Being able to play as almost any country in the 1936 world option is the biggest plus for me. The playable scenario's are a huge plus but I think what most people’s bread and butter is the world map gameplay. Each of these game modes are excellent and challenging. Want to play as Sweden and deal with aggressive Soviets and Germans? Done. Want to play as the US and take over South America and Africa? Have at it. 10/10 game
