I love Just Dance! I have bought the game for the last 10 years (Just Dance 2014). But I probably buy it this year. I should not have to use my phone as a controller. I just did an extreme dance that was offered to PS users, I had to hope my phone did not fly out my hands. Forget about the dance moves I was worried about my phone. Also many parents (like me) won’t let their kids dance with their phones lol.

You gave us a new layout, new in screen music, and more. This is a major step back. Design a Just Dance controller or camera. This isn’t the way.

I was so excited to get this game on the PS5, just ti find out it will not connect to my phone… I kept trying and trying! I would turn everything off to the point I thought it was a Wi-Fi problem. I wasted 1 hour just trying to figure out why it wouldn’t connect… I just want to connect my phone and not think this game was a waste of money… can someone tell me how to connect because I’ve given up hope.

So we’re out of town, and as you know I’m spending time with my fam, and so we played just dance. Because there was limited controllers, I decided to get my phone. Everything goes smooth until I connect… and what happens? Crash. “Error occurred” I think “ok it’s probably just a glitch.” (Keep in mind I have followed ALL the instructions on the screen and app.) so I try again. Another crash. I get a little mad now because it takes another 3 minutes to load the game. So I try it with my sister’s phone. 💥CRASH AGAIN!!!!!!!!💥 Big surprise. That explains why I am leaving one, (Zero if there is one) stars on this crummy app.

I don’t wrote many reviews but I have to on this one. Just dance 2023 is a huge let down. No custom playlist, unable to use PlayStation move controller and JustDance2025Controller is just the needle on the letdown that is Just dance 2023. Please do yourself a favor and get a refund on it all. This controller app does NOT work at all. Such a wasted opportunity and this is one way to disappoint your very loyal fans. Whoever wrote JustDance2025Controller either needs to be fired or actually use it and see just how bad this is.

What a terrible decision by the game makers! The Kinect was what made it fun. I wanted to see all my movements. Didn’t it to just be tracking a moving in my hand. I don’t want to use my phone for this and much less will I let my children use it for this. It’s stressful to hold a over $1,000 in your hand and swing it around because of this game. I looked forward to playing this with my kids and that won’t be happening unless they find a better option. If anything, at least offer the use of the controller. But it would still be better if we could have a camera option.

First off, I do not like letting my young children use my iPhone as a controller. They are kids. They don't have phones. My phone is too large for them to hold without dropping it and quite frankly, I'm not comfortable with them waving a $1,000 phone around. I have an old iPhone 5 that I was going to let them use exclusively for Just Dance 2023 but JustDance2025Controller doesn't support iPhone iOS less than 13. The iPhone 5 can only be updated to iOS 10.3.4. If you're going to insist on using phones as controllers, please allow older phone/iOS to be used.

Spent $75 on this title for my daughters, and it rarely works. App connected as a controller the first time we played, but never since. I’ve tried reconnecting my phone and XBox to the Wi-Fi multiple times, have uninstalled and reinstalled the game and phone app multiple times, nothing works. Microsoft won’t reimbursement for a downloaded game that is not playable. Buyer beware, waste of money for me.

Also, will note that the only way for my 4 and 6 year old daughters to play this game is to hand them my $1000 phone and have them wave it frantically. Seems like a terrible idea.

My whole life I have been playing Just Dance, but this version of Just Dance doesn’t seem like it’s even past its beta stages. When I unlock something with the new “Love Coaster” season, I don’t get the prize even though it says I unlocked it. The animations from screen-to-screen are finicky and unpolished. Almost every time I dance (no matter what controller I use) I get nothing but constant “OKs,” no matter how well I’ve mastered the dance. I was expecting a lot more from this iteration of Just Dance, but I am greatly disappointed.

Bought the latest just dance for ps5, no use of the HD camera, instead everyone should dance with a $70 console controller in their hand, or worse hand a $1000+ smartphone with an app to your kids if it connects!?! Better hope you don’t bump the screen or put the screen to sleep. They’ve added a subscription service though. Hopefully soon the devs do a little development to take advantage of next gen capability in an update.

JustDance2025Controller doesn’t work, doesn’t pair . I paid for the game and membership for my son and it was just a waste of my money he haven’t been able to play with it since I purchased the ps5 I need somebody to contact me as soon as posible, I’m so upset I can’t believe that you have the nerve to charge for something that you already know it doesn’t work!! Contact me please. thanks.

Bring back the Kinect! We have bought the Just Dance games every year. This year it the format is very disappointing. I hate the fact that I had to add another app to my phone and every phone of my guests who wanted to play. Holding a very expensive phone while dancing/flailing about is a terrible idea. Then add a few other players with expensive phones doing the same thing. Awful! Worst idea ever! We could not tell which player was who unless one of us stopped and didn’t get a score. We were always lined up wrong. A guest dropped his phone on my hard wood floor! It is not fun holding a phone trying to dance. Everything about this is disappointing and if next years just dance game doesn’t get a new Kinect option then it will w the first time we won’t buy this game.

When I used JustDance2025Controller for the first time it actually worked and it connected to my console but then when I connect it the second time it did not work. I tried to connect it multiple times and it keeps giving me error messages. Please fix JustDance2025Controller and I’ll change the review and give you five stars.

The game didn’t function as well as I thought it would. Of course, we were able to get through the basics like getting into a group. However, when the group was assembled and we picked a song that’s where it went downhill. The game kept crashing..we restarted multiple times which led to multiple fails. Overall, if you get this game..don’t expect it to met standards. Definitely not workable with the PS5 or 4.

I had to reinstall JustDance2025Controller several times because the camera controller didn’t work even though that my was up-to-date and so was my game software. When I tried reaching out to Ubisoft they told me they had a high volume of customer service calls and I never got a response. I get that this is in the beta test at this time but it’s just too much of a headache to have to deal with.

Bought iPhone 15 pro max for the sole purpose of trying JustDance2025Controller with older games on Xbox One X, but realized it just doesn’t work, which means I have to buy new consoles and sentenced my Kinect to death penalty. Versions of this game were released well past end-of-life for Nintendo Switch which will be upgraded next year. Developers largely gave up on Kinect long ago, but this franchise was one where it's utility really continued to shine. I think the studio grossly misunderstood the market for this game - young people who aren't chasing the latest and greatest, but just want to have a good time with their friends on a Saturday, or parents looking for a way to spend some fun physical activity time with their kids. I will NOT be purchasing this game on Xbox series x due to lack of Kinect support and the fact that this franchise has clearly lost its way.
Kinda sad, l've enjoyed these new releases every year, but will continue to play the older games until they no longer work, rather than "upgrade" to an inferior play experience...with a phone...which I heard I would no longer accidentally throw across the room while dancing, thank you very much. But bring back Kinect support, and I'd be back on

My son and I are trying to use JustDance2025Controller is having pairing issues. It says that it needs to be connected to the Wi-Fi. We have both our phones connected to the Wi-Fi the same as my PS five console and it’s not working. We’re having purring issues and is saying that we can’t pair because he might not have the same connection with the Wi-Fi that you have with the game and we do please. You guys need to fix this. This is an ongoing situation for a very long time now now it’s been going on a year and a half since we bought the game. I did buy all of the music plays and Paies for the monthly year. I don’t understand how you have such a great game and it’s not working and you guys need to fix this issue or I’m gonna request my money back. Thank you.

I was excited to see a new version with upgraded options and lots of good songs. But several months later, I am having terrible luck with connecting my phone to the game as a controller. I have tried everything! So now I have been playing it without the controller because I use this game for exercise. I am so disappointed in Ubisoft. Fix this or go away! I am so tired of what you did with the 2023 version. I paid a lot of money for both of these and now they are almost obsolete. To me it looks like Ubisoft is nothing but crooks at this point. Such a scam and a rip off!!

Bought the game in December and my daughter has not been able to play it yet. It has been almost 6 months. I was told to chat and you cannot chat. They send me emails that the hours for chat change all the time. The ask for screen shots and you can’t send screen shots even when you change search engines. I ask for a call and they refuse to call. After 4 months they tell me they are bumping it up to a higher level. The only communication from them is that the keep closing the case. Finally 6 weeks later they say they did an update to uninstall and reinstall. I follow the instructions and still nothing. Be careful with Ubisoft games. They are no help. I will keep updating the review as things change.

1st time ever getting just dance and couldn’t even play it because my phone wouldn’t pair with the game. I made sure it was the same wifi and all, still nothing. I reached out to Ubisoft to try and fix the problem and it took a week for someone to respond after I kept sending emails. I finally had the chance to speak with someone and they ended the chat prematurely so nothing was solved. I bought the game at a GameStop that doesn’t do refunds on digital games. Luckily they over charged me and I was able to take the game back. This was a total waste. And Ubisoft should do better.

Jokes on me for assuming that this game would work with my PlayStation move camera and controllers, just as the game had in the past. The decision to make this phone only has rendered the game completely unplayable as JustDance2025Controller will not connect to the game at all. I did not know this before purchasing the game, and am not only finding out that this is a known issue, but Ubisoft has given NO timeline for a bug fix. So, they continue to sell a game that for many people doesn’t function at all when they could have avoided this by just continuing to have the functionality offered in previous versions of the game. Furthermore, when I buy a game for a platform, I want the usability of that game to be contained TO that platform. The fact that JustDance2025Controller includes data collection for a game that would otherwise have been housed on my PlayStation without that level of invasiveness is absurd. Overall, this has been a terrible experience and I am currently working on getting a refund through the PlayStation shop.

You removed all peripherals from this game except for the phone app… and JustDance2025Controller doesn’t even work!!! I’ve tried everything from resetting my modem, PS5, and even deleting and redownloading the hame and I cannot for the lift of me get JustDance2025Controller to connect to the game. Completely unplayable. Spent $60 for an unplayable game

Just dance is no longer fun - unless JustDance2025Controller were to support video through use of the camera. holding the device in your hand is just not the same!

Went to drop $85 on the ultimate version of Just Dance 2023. Found out game was NOT released for Xbox One, which means Kinect support is dead. I love the just dance series and was SO excited to buy the game until I realized JustDance2025Controller was the only option. I throw my phone every time I play! I am tempted to give up and save the space on my phone.

Just bought this $60 game to be forced to use my phone as a controller and then it won’t pair no matter how many new codes I get, restarting the just dance app, restarting JustDance2025Controller, etc. waste of a game and money

Please update JustDance2025Controller just dance 2023 control because it is having pairing issues ⚠️ that needs to be fixed 🔧 and this is so frustrated 😫.

My child was so excited to get Just Dance 2023 and when she tried the paring it with a phone it just wouldn’t work. She was so sad and I feel so angry that I wasted my money on this when it doesn’t even work.

Please bring back the Kinect! Or make a camera version. This is not usable with children anymore. Part of the fun was watching the replay.

My child can't not hold my 6.7 inch screen while playing this game. Never again Ubisoft.

I keep entering the code on screen and it’s not working, it’s frustrating.

So, I would give this game 99 BILLION stars of of 5 because its SOOOOOOO fun. But with the new camera scoring I tried to do it and it worked!
But only when i was connecting it, the scoring doesn’t work. Whenever i play with camera scoring my score is 0. Idk why so I tried my other phone, IT STILL DIDN’T WORK. So, just dance pls fix this :)

JustDance2025Controller connects and works just fine for me 90% of the time. It’s just that sometimes, JustDance2025Controller stops working halfway through a song. Ugh. I like that I can use my iPhone to play just dance. I only gave it 3 stars though, because I can basically sit on my couch and just shake the phone in time with the moves and get a couple of stars on most songs. Then getting up and acting dancing the moves I only score slightly better. This is nowhere near as good as playing with a Kinect.

I like the new app. I just wish we have Kinect support back or have the ability to use our phone cameras to track instead of holding a device.

Okay, I tried the camera controller and you need a BIG room. I thought my family room was big but I have to set myself all the way back for it to connect. Sometimes, it tracked me other times, it didn’t. I heard great things and I’m not just gonna all blame it on JD but my house. Hopefully maybe I can make it 100% work but for a beta, great job!

I do miss the old just dance controllers, but i feel as if this is good. It does get tiring holding it in your hand but it does work. Some people saying they are throwing their phones across the room, what are you doing to be throwing it 😂😂. Just have a good grip and it should work, also if your hands get a little sweaty and you feel like the phones going somewhere else just grab something to attach to your phone and attach to your hand and still hold onto your phone, that is what my sister does and it still works great.

So like JustDance2025Controller is cool and all but the real thing (the game) is lit the best thing I’ve ever seen/played, the just dance team goes alllll out to bring us the best and they succeed, fave song by my fave Littleshia “Can’t tame her” by Zara Larrson, you gotta agree with that, also what’s the hype on the lights out season, it’s cool and all but…..I NEED MORE JACK ROSE, also just dance, if you see this, I know I’m young and all but it’s like my dream to become a just dance coach. So if possible we can bring it all to LIFE.

-Almost all the reviews are about Just Dance (the actual game) instead of the controller app. If you wanted to review the game, you would do it on a place FOR THE ACTUAL GAME.
-And prior to the point above, they’re also whining about Kinect support (Kinect was a motion sensor for Xbox). It was stated by Xbox officially that Kinect would no longer be manufactured or officially maintained. It’s important to note that Xbox has rules for developers who create games for the Xbox Marketplace, so it’s not their fault. Even if you had a Kinect, it wouldn’t be supported with the game anyways!!

JD has its issues, yes. But take your nostalgia about Kinect and complaints about the actual game on Reddit, or somewhere else where it’s meant to be.

Worked great! Didn’t disconnect at all, and with the size of my phone, it felt not that bad! I would recommend playing with a smaller phone, and also having a strap with your phone to enjoy it at the very best.

Yes it’s true the new gen consoles are the only ones with the game, but it isn’t specifically Just Dance either, most games now are only for new gen consoles and it isn’t a fault it just is. If you don’t want to worry about your old gen console from ten years ago not getting the latest game I’d suggest you upgraded. Either way, the game is amazing and most “bad” reviews are just from people angrily arguing about how new and old generation consoles work. I would recommend buying the game and using JustDance2025Controller as it is working on a new mobile camera controller, the game is constantly having updates and seasons for all users and with Just Dance+ the entire Just Dance series is a game changer. If you like partying with friends or dancing your heart out I’d highly recommend purchasing the game!

This game is not bad people are overreacting. This game is amazing! I have played just dance for years. It is a very fun game what I don’t like is you can do the dances and do no effort at all and you will get perfect ratings and you will end up with like 5 starts but when you put in full effort you get ok and X and you would end up with like 1 star When I did more by kda I did Seraphines version because I was trying to get her avatar and because I am a HUGE fan of kda. I did it like 5 times all different ways and got 1 star and 2 stars and I kinda got frustrated with it. My sister has just dance 2022,2021,and 2020. I can just say that this game did improve. I know the developers won’t see this because there is so many other reviews out there but I am BEGGING YOU FOR A K-POP JUST DANCE I love just dance and K-pop and it would be perfect for y’all to do that! Overall tho this game is my favorite.

I love Just dance it’s been a favorite but JustDance2025Controller really deserves a 2 star because it’s hard to connect to the game it’s lowkey annoying how many tries it take u til it connects sometimes I would have to delete JustDance2025Controller and redownload it but this is only getting a 5 star because of the new just dance and all the songs I adore <3
