Cake Sort Puzzle 3D Reviews

This game is nice but the amount of ads is completely distracting to gameplay. I don’t think it’s worth $3.99 for no ads. It’s like every five moves another ad appears. Sadly have deleted the game because of this.

It’s a fun game for mindless activity, but after the first four stages, the ads increase, and there are thirty second ads for every three pies/moves you make. When the length of ads are longer than play time, I delete the game. I’m sure I’m not the only person that does this. Shorter and fewer ads would keep me playing and more likely to pay attention to the ads. With thirty second ads, I’m not even looking at the screen. Too many ads, I’m no longer even playing the game.

The game is fun and seems to run well but the ads are driving me crazy! It’s about every 2 minutes there is an ad. They’re usually not more than 5 seconds but when they’re constant, it can get annoying and more times than not, I’d rather just close the game than watch yet another ad. To buy the ad free version is $10, which I feel is way too much for this type of game. They need to scale the ads back.

Update: been playing for a while but it has been stuck on the loading page for weeks now! I’ve updated CakeSortPuzzle3D and same thing. I hate to delete it and lose all my progress so I’m dropping the stars even more. Super buggy game and I definitely would not be buying the ad free version.

I understand that ads are how developers make money off their products, but I’ve played the game for less than a minute total and already had 3 ads. Too many ads makes a game unplayable.

The major takeaway is that it not only crashed and temporarily locked up my phone (I couldn’t even get to the close app screen), but it sucked my battery from 68% to 35% in a mere 20 minutes with no other apps open. Since closing the game about 20 minutes ago, I’m still at 35%. There’s something REALLY fishy about that.

The game would be cute if it were not so EXTREMELY ad heavy. I spent more time trying to exit a “skipped” ad than playing. On some ads, after pressing skip, it goes to wait 5 or the ad store then back to wait before it finally lets you out. Then you get about 5 moves before another ad pops up. There’s so much negativity in how the ads function that playing the game feels more like punishment than entertainment, and there’s no point in telling you what I like about the game itself. It’s not worth the trouble.

I usually don’t complain about ads… and I get it, it’s a free game where ad revenue is probably the only money they’d get from this… but I only played for less than 5 minutes and faced about 3-4 ads, each one being about 30 seconds. That, and another damage to add on is well, I got this from the ads for this game, it looked fun, but of course it’s not as advertised. Of course it wouldn’t be! Why would I think that? It’s like a worse version of all the copy-paste merging games, with tools being bought with the small amount of coins you get, really just another cash grab. It’s tolerable if you don’t care, but it is pretty soulless and draining like the rest of them. Honestly it’s boring too.

I actually really enjoyed playing this game. It’s a challenge but still offers the repetitive noises and vibrations that help you relax. It does an “ad break” every so many minutes and that was annoying, but like I said, really enjoyed playing the game so I was tolerant of the ads. Of course you can purchase the ad free version, but that’s not something I do. The most disappointing part was that every time I play the game my phone begins to freeze up. To the point where I’m dropping plates all over the screen where I don’t want them, and then I can’t even shut CakeSortPuzzle3D down without having to wait forever for it to unfreeze. I don’t have a super expensive phone. It’s just an iPhone Xr, so it may perform better on a newer version. That’s just my experience. It really is a fun and catchy little game that challenges your thinking, so if your phone can support it I def recommend it.

I love CakeSortPuzzle3D but, unfortunately, for the past week, every time I play it CRASHES, usually about 5-6 minutes after beginning playing. This was both before AND after the latest update.

I tried to contact support several days ago, BUT it’s no longer listed on the developer’s website as one of their games? That may be why I haven’t heard back (5+ days) - I sent as a general request because no version of Cake Sort is on their drop down list of games.

Note: This is the FREE version - I would probably buy the ad-free version if it didn’t keep crashing every time I played. Super bummed - good game but too buggy

First off I love this game and I’ve never really written a review. but this drives me insane and this is what is making me write this review. All the time when you’re in the middle of playing this game thinking about what to do next and an ad pops up!! I swear it pops up every 30 seconds or at least it feels that way!! This is way too many ads at the most inappropriate times. They recently did an update to shorten the ads which was really nice but they’re still way too many ads, I know they are aware that this is a problem and I hope that they take care of it.

I’m not looking for something free but when I invest a certain amount of time, I don’t want to be spammed with tons of ads.

There are plenty of other games if a company is reasonable about their ads I am fine playing for long periods of time. But when you spam us with ads, or the balance isn’t right with ads we go to other games.

In airplane mode you don’t get ads but as soon as your turn it off there’s ads every 30 seconds. And even when there aren’t ads there’s pop ups in the middle of you trying to play to promote other parts of the game.
Th first few levels are easy enough but when you reach a certain point you physically cannot beat it without watching ads to get the super hammer to resume where you left off. The highest points I managed was 700 something before failing every time because I had airplane mode on to keep ads off. While the game was enjoyable at first it gets frustrating fast to be unable to beat the level without being a slave to the ads.

This game is addicting but I keep having games where they are glitching. My pies are only shuffling and won’t move to complete the pie.

The game was fine but after the first couple of plays I started getting an ad after every level. I’m not going to play a game that has a 15 second ad every 10 seconds of play.

Frustrating. Loved this game at first and decided to splurge and pay the $10 for ad removal. Then hit the unexpected infinity wall where you’ll never progress and no more cakes will be unlocked. SO disappointed.
Have now uninstalled and reinstalled to see if I can play again without activating infinity mode but now it won’t restore my previous purchases and it’s making me watch ads again.
Attempts to click on ‘remove ads’ bring up a spinning wheel that says ‘please wait’ but then never goes anywhere even after waiting more than 10 minutes.
No way should I have to pay multiple times for ad removal. Super peeved.

This game is a great way to pass the time. The animation is satisfying and colorful, it’s easy to play and engaging. However it seems like there is an ad every five seconds and it is the same ones repeated over and over.

Everything needs ads to be unlocked if you don’t wish to pay money and I understand beggars can’t be choosers but the sheer amount of ads surpasses that of any other game that I have downloaded. Also every ad seems to have particularly tricky x’s. I’m used to them being concealed/ moved but they’re clear and half cut off/missing.

Recently I was trying to change my cake set up and use some eliminated cakes. It said I needed to watch an ad to save the change. Note this was just 1 cake out of multiple that I wanted to switch. I’m mildly annoyed but I understand the game has to make money somehow.

I watch the video and go back to switch another cake but it just keeps saying I need to save. At first I thought maybe you can only change one but after watching the directions and observing the reset button I realized it hadn’t even saved the single one. I watched over three videos and still nothing.

There is just too many little things piling up that bother me about CakeSortPuzzle3D in order for me to give it five stars. I wish I could because I genuinely enjoyed it in the beginning but over time it’s proven to be more hassle than fun.

I have unlocked so many pieces of cake through the weekly chest and the wheel, but the game never remembers. By now I should have five full cakes, based on the amount of pieces I’ve received, but every time I open the game the pieces are gone again.

They recently added a daily mission to complete, and at the end of the week you can supposedly claim the rewards. Except the game never remembers. Two weeks ago I completed the week, and then for 3 days it prompted me to claim the rewards every time I opened CakeSortPuzzle3D . It never remembered the rewards I had claimed before, and it refused to start a new week. When the new week started, it counted day 2 for four days — even though I played CakeSortPuzzle3D every day, it still showed “Day 2 100%” until finally it jumped ahead to Day 5 and said I’d missed Days 3 & 4.

The game was fun before they broke it (even though they hadn’t added anything new in at least 6 months). There’s no way to contact them with issues, either. It’s clear they have zero customer service and zero quality control— and like one programmer who doesn’t work often and doesn’t really know what they’re doing.

Do not interrupt ads by actual play!

I was really hoping to find an app that would just let me watch ads uninterrupted, but this one insists on interrupting my ad-viewing with games. I have to make up to five moves in order to unlock the next round of ads. Why?? In all seriousness, that’s what this game feels like - an ads app that sprinkled some game play intermittently in between. And the “up to five moves” is no joke - you’re just drowning in ads. And if you want to fix it. It’ll cost you a Hamilton. It’s just not worth it.

UPDATE: now it comes with full, 30-second ads every five moves!!! Irritatingly, you still have to play a bit in order to see the ads. But they’re a FULL 30 SECONDS!! And you have to watch THE WHOLE THING!! And even better: you get to watch the same ad multiple times in a row! So, if you’re like me and just LOVE ads, you’ll absolutely adore this ads app!!!

I play this game daily (on iOS). I have had several instances where the game will not have ‘updates’ even though I know it does (I play with friends). I lack new cakes and the thing is- I bought no ads. So if I delete it and redownload to get the updates, it won’t restore my no ads purchases and I essentially have to restart to do that.
It also does not keep anything I win from spinners or opening chests. I don’t get the special cakes I should have (even if I’ve opened 2 pieces at least ten times) and cakes go away at random (rainbow cake, pancakes). I’ve messaged about restoring purchases for the ads before with no response. Love the game, but that stuff is frustrating!!

I ran out of cakes so quickly so i guess i’ll be resetting my progress just to feel something again. On the other hand, i ran into an issue twice where when i unlocked a new cake, it wouldn’t get rid of the plates at the bottom with the obsolete cake, dooming my run. Also earlier today i might have moved too fast for the sorting or something but cakes shuffled between four plates for five minutes without ever making a whole cake (which should have happened, wish i recorded it). otherwise i really like the game and hope more cakes come soon because my serotonin levels are dropping quickly.

I like this game a lot, but the ads are way too long and they play the same ad over and over again (Royal Match). It’s enough to make you nutty seeing the same ad continually. I don’t mind watching some ads to play a game, but this game has way too many long ads. The ad goes on forever. I will put up with it for a little while, because I really enjoy the game, but then I finally can’t do it anymore and go on to play another one of my games.

In addition there is a new ad for a game called Splashlearn, and every time it plays the ad freezes up and I have to restart and I loose any rewards points I would have earned. Please fix, or I may delete CakeSortPuzzle3D , because it is so frustrating!

Cute game but needs work.

Ever since the latest update it no longer saves my progress. I have to start over from zero when I exit the game and come back. I have no drive to play when it's deleting my progress.

Also, I like the addition that you can now pick which cakes you play but hate that it forces you to save with a single change?? I want to see if cakes look nice together before saving– doing it one by one is inefficient and annoying. I won't bother with this feature until it's fixed. I'm not going to save my selection one by one, especially with an ad between each, that's ludicrous.

This is a funnish game, the most glaring flaw of which is, for me, the ads that appear for those other games that exist to tell impressionable young women what to think and value, what their physical forms HAVE to look like in order for others to value them, etc.. Such narrow-minded brainwashing tactics sicken me, and this game shows ad after ad for a game of just that type. Not only will I not download games of that type, I also will not keep games on my phone that show ads for games of that type. So I'm deleting this game. It's guilty by association.

On my iPad the spin wheel doesn’t work nor does the the store - it’s blank 🙄🤷‍♀️

I’m happy that there was a update but the infinity ring is back on 🙄🤷‍♀️. I don’t understand. The orange cake in the special is named a cherry cake 🤦‍♀️. What’s the purpose of the special cakes?? Can ya please fix your game??? I have 2 cakes that I can’t or don’t know what to do with coz when I tap them they do nothing. I’m not unlocking new cakes when I level up or get a higher score. What’s the problem??? Is it coz there’s too many dang ads to get to pay the game 🙄😡. You don’t have to charge $10 for ad free coz you get more money with all the ads in the game. People can’t afford $10 here $5 there coz everything else has gotten ridiculously expensive!!! I’m about ready to delete CakeSortPuzzle3D coz it’s not fun like it used to be. I guess have fun being greedy and see how that far that gets ya 😉

I love to play CakeSortPuzzle3D. It’s such a simple yet satisfying game, with enough challenge to keep you wanting more. I was okay with having unlocked all of the cakes, but was annoyed I couldn’t change which ones I had active. It would be awesome to choose which ones you can get in your bakery while you play. And after updating, I’m really disappointed with the new graphics, and I can’t get over how ugly the new app icon is. The old one was so pretty and unique! This one makes it look like all the other blah games you get ads about.

Been playing for a good long time now, and I’m happy to say it’s eventually updated with the features I’d like to see, like the ability to swap your cake load outs and such. Would be much nicer to be able to change the whole load out before watching the ad, but the option alone was needed.

I’ve collected all the cakes at this point except one, and it looks like some sort of pansy cake. I don’t know if that’s a bug or some secret achievement thing to get but seeing the grey spot in my collection bugs me.

The option to disable ads should def be cheaper, and i would like the coins to be cheaper as well, but such is capitalism.

One thing I think could be fun is instead of the infinite option at the top when you complete your collection and go for score, it might instead choose a random cake from your collection and swap out the cakes like when you first unlocked it. Could keep the board fresh and make the scores a lot more interesting to get.

Overall I’ve thoroughly enjoyed it, and I look forward to where it will go from here!

Good game! My only problem is that it kicks me out of the game in the middle of playing in the mission mode.

I do like this game, but for over a week now it has been so frustrating…it’s taking away my new special cake pieces that I earn or just not giving them to me as well as the other rewards from the spin, they’re just not there…I’ll even get a full one to play with then it will disappear. I just got a new cake and all it’s showing on the cake page is an infinity symbol and then I can’t play! My game will freeze and that’s it… even after this update nothing has changed…I’ve lost so many rewards I’m done watching ads for nothing! … I also don’t understand the maps, it’s locked. It tells me it will unlock on level 4…I’m on level 17 and I’ve played them before! Now I can’t! Frustrating!

It’s simple, and a little addicting to play. My only suggestion would be to make it a little easier to progress. Once a cake is eliminated, it should stay eliminated. It’s almost impossible to progress once you’ve reached the watermelon cake, because there are too many options and very little space to place them. And once you lose it immediately starts over and you just end up losing in the same spot again. It’s getting very frustrating now.

Love the game but it doesn’t take long to go through all the kinds of cakes. I’d like to earn more varieties

I had fun with this game but to many ads but I love that it told me when a ad was coming but when u earn to many pies it gives u to many different ones

Will there be a way to choose which pies you want to use? I’m through all the available ones and I would like to select the ones I want to use.

This game has been perfect for my insomnia, really fun, cute, and easy going game to wind down with! As many others are saying, I do wish we could cycle back eliminated cakes. I beat the game pretty quickly, so more customization in that area would really help with continued engagement 😊

I like this game a lot, but I too have the stuck cake problem. I’ve unlocked all of them but they say they are still locked. I agree with others that it would be nice to pick your own cakes to use, as I’m getting tired of these same ones.

Although I effectively finished the game quite quickly, I’m enjoying playing the endless mode….however, it’s getting somewhat monotonous. I just wish there was….more. More of something….anything. A different board maybe… some kind of extra goals…etc etc.

I’m am writing this review because I have quite enjoyed this game. But the biggest reason I am giving it five stars, is because this game is one of the very few that didn’t lie about what the game was in the ads. I’ve been so infuriated with other games because they are very different from what their ads state they are like. This game is not like other games and is true to its ads. It’s simple, it’s fun, you are constantly cycling out different cake designs.
I think it’s worth playing ☺️. Find out for yourself!

I’ve been playing for a while now and i rlly enjoy it and have all the cakes unlocked, however, now i think it would make it even more fun if i could pick and choose which cakes i could play with out of what i have unlocked 🍰🍰🍰

I love this game and i play it every single day. i’m on the level where i should be getting the creamy cake but it’s replacing it with (special) cakes that i don’t even have equipped.. when i change one of the cakes out from my bakery into the cake that it’s trying to take away it just changes to a different one and it’s infuriating because even if i get a score of 2000 and it offers me the cake multiple times it still won’t change

Really enjoying playing this addictive puzzler! The mechanism of merging pieces is unique from other games I’ve tried, and it just keeps pulling me back in. One suggestion: I’d love to either, as another reviewer requested, be able to customize which images get used OR simply cycle back through eliminated images once I’ve unlocked them all - it seems like a little bit of a waste to not use the earlier graphics any longer once I unlock the later ones, and changing things up would make it just that little bit more addictive.

Immediately turn off WiFi to play this or ya get hit with ads by the minute and they ain’t the 5-15 sec ones anymore. It’s 45 and then 5 more after a 15 pause, so over a min. After a few moves in a round, the game will give u double plates till u run out of room. It’ll be a clear board with like 2 plates and 6 moves ends ur round. That’s blatant trickery to make u spend money on hammers and stuff to keep the round going. I noticed it at about level 9. I still play though. It’s like bejeweled cause drops encourage losing, but u will eventually pass the level of u keep playing.

It’s a really fun and entertaining game. There’s just too many ads. Almost every 40 seconds to a minute of gameplay, there’s an ad. Luckily some of the ads are just 5 seconds but there are ads that are 30 seconds long. Most of the ads look interesting though so I’ve downloaded quite a few. I’m surprised that I kept playing the game although it had so much ads. I just enjoy it so I am still playing the game despite the ads. I understand that they have to make money and ads are probably the most money making method. I don’t mind being introduced to new fun games. It’s addictive, relaxing and easy to put down and get back to if you need to go.

awesome lil game only request is to be able to either choose which cake graphics i can use after having unlocked them all, since it seems that one theyre all unlocked there's nothing else to work for. otherwise fantastic game and i play it everyday lol

This was a surprisingly good game with 0 ads and a simple goal that played very much like the ads I saw

I’m addicted to this game. Please add more pie types. Also, when I unlock all pie types can I get the option to choose which ones I want to play with? That would be amazing!

I just wish I had daily goals or got coins with each ad like my friend on not iPhones do. :( I paid to not have ads and no regrets. I just want goals for extra coins

One of the best Simple games I have ever played, I’ve been playing for a while now and the new update honestly saved this game for me. I collected all the cakes and was just focused on beating my score since there was nothing left to do. The update added more cakes so you’ll know what I’ll be doing for a while. The newer graphics are gorgeous. I love the smooth merging. I’m glad this game is still being looked after and not just made as a one hit wonder for games. I definitely recommend this game! Although the only downside I have with this game is to remove ads it’s 10$. Maybe if it was 5$ I’d consider it but seeing as how small the game is and how quick it is to beat 10$ is just too much. But to each their own! Still a good game to get.
