Resort Hotel: Bay Story Reviews

Honestly I LOVE these renovating matching games. They’re always cute and relaxing even if a level might be hard. But these characters are a nightmare! The main girl is always yelling at Mike, her supposed new boyfriend(¿), about every little thing he does. I’m all for woman strength but when all she does is nag at a man who does nothing but her physical work? It’s atrocious! If he was actually as terrible as she keeps yelling about, why would she keep exploiting his labor? She keeps him from football, that is his dream, to work for free. Don’t even get me started on the Uncle. He’s the worse and shouldn’t even be in charge of the hotel anymore with how much he cares for people in general. Surprised it hasn’t been closed down for good and sold to some rich guy who wants a beach side vista! The maid is the only good character, she is such a sweetheart that is worked much too hard. Every character just needs an overhaul. The uncle needs to be less of a miser with everything, main girl needs to learn to freaking appreciate those around her and stop yelling at every little thing, mike needs to be thanked way more for all his hard work and dedication, and the maid needs a freaking raise! That’s all. Gameplay is good though.

I don’t like how in order to get the nicer things for the resort you half to have coins to pay for them it’s not like in other games you get three choices of all decent items and choose from those three for free this game gives you one free choice and the other two you half to pay with coins which you don’t earn much of after beating a board . This makes the game not fun to play especially when your only choice is the free item that’s not very colorful and pretty as the choices that you need coins to have . You don’t earn much coins only option they give is to buy more coins or keep watching videos to receive coins this becomes annoying . If they had more choices that would be free and more coins this game would be one of the best matching games out here disappointed not really sure if I wanna erase the game and find a different one . Other then that the game has beautiful graphics and colorful items .

This game quickly became my favorite game until I reached level 303. Up until then, the game had clear instructions for clearing the obstacles in each level. At 303, crabs were the new obstacle. ZERO info on how to beat them so I Googled and found ZERO help. There is no in-app help button either. I’m so frustrated that I’m ready to delete the game. I’ve made in-app purchases and am frustrated that it’s going to waste. Bottom line, do not download or become too invested in ResortHotel or you will hate everything when you reach level 303.

AMENDMENT: the developers have recently, I think, removed the crabs and replaced them with phones. While I didn’t see any directions on how to beat then, it wasn’t too difficult to figure it out. THANK YOU...I’ve adjusted my stars.

This is a good mind numbing game to play when you don’t really want to think a whole lot. Basic concepts as seen in other matching games. Neat story line. However, some levels you need to use the bombs and such in order to pass them. There’s no way to advance to the next level if you don’t have bombs and such. Also, I have an iPhone XMax. There’s no home button on this phone. This makes exiting the game a pain. I’ve gotta swipe to my notifications, a few times because the game running confuses the device, tap a notification from another app to open it, then swipe from the bottom left to bring up all open apps, find the game and swipe up. I’ve contacted the developers bringing this issue to their attention to which I receive a reply that has nothing to do with my support tickets. Then they close the support ticket. Wanna know my recommendation? In the menu add an “exit app” option. Hasn’t been done yet.

I just started playing. When I first saw this game in an advertisement, I thought I would like it and I do. I like the storylines and so far the characters I’s seen. Colors are OK, but could be some brighter and a a bit more vivid. All in all, I think I’ll enjoy playing. The only issue would be is if things cost “real life” which some players are unable to afford (like me who is on a limited monthly disability income or it could be a child with an allowance or whatever reason).

As I said in the title I like the game but.... I am actually more interested in building the resort. I like that you give options. But I don’t like that the only way to build is by playing a matching game. Would rather send my girl to work to earn money than the games. This may sound stupid to most. But I play other matching games. I started this game to do something different. Sorry there is just nothing you could do to change my mind. I did not come to this game looking for a matching game.

Side note: you need a frequently asked question section. I have IDs for friends but no clue how to use the ID numbers to add friends.

As is normal for this type of game, at first things go really well and it’s fun. Unfortunately you get to a point, only about 100 levels in that you HAVE to have bombs in order to finish the board, but you can’t get bombs unless you finish the board. There are not enough moves to be able to finish it otherwise. If you were able to get through some levels and build up bonus bombs, you lose all your bombs you had built up if you can’t finish one level. Games that make you play way too many boards in order to be successful will get deleted very quickly. Players have to feel they can be successful at some point or it is just another frustration, and who needs that.

The game is ok. Been playing for a couple of years. There’s difficulty in getting to the next level and I like building the resort having options. You don’t earn many coins no matter how difficult it gets. There are challenges but that doesn’t increase the coins or tickets you need to build the resort. The recent update is showing that the choices in building the resort now cost coins with 1 free option. So because of the difficulty of the challenges to get 20-30 coins, 1 tag, and maybe an enhancement( bombs), and not knowing if you won the challenges. It’s way to much to move forward and to build my resort. It was good while it lasted.

This is my favorite match game because the levels are challenging but not frustrating and I’m enjoying the storyline and that you can use viewing ads to get two more moves. However in the last week the game has begun to crash too often in the middle of a level or sometimes when you just are one move from winning. I have tried to slow down my playing so not to overwhelm the game and my iPad is only two years old and fully updated but the crashing is just increasing.

If I was able to share the screenshot I took of the game then I would. I play this game a lot and enjoy it very much but I ran into an issue on lvl 516. I have completed the board but it somehow froze one of the bells and didn’t count that I’ve made it to the bottom. It’s sitting there frozen in place with other game pieces behind it. I’m annoyed because it will not allow me to complete and exiting the game will make me lose my boosters I have earned. I would like everything that I’m losing awarded back to me for the inconvenience. I will happily give the game a 5 star rating if this issue is resolved. Thank you.

Was one of my fav games until the recent update where you took away the chances to watch ads in order to get coins. When you beat a level you get like 16-30 at the most coins. How are we supposed to buy more lives? Also the whole teams thing makes no sense. No one participates so you can't get lives and I have no idea what the yellow suitcase where you can buy things for like 1500 coins... who has 1500 coins? And it seems like in your profile you are supposed to be able to modify or upgrade your look, but there is no where I can find to do that just the standard profile pics. Overall fun games but really confusing game play and no instructions whatsoever...

It’s a match three game and I like those, so fair enough. My only complaint with the story is that Alice, whom I started out liking, quickly went downhill by being a snot immediately to one of the first characters you meet for the sin of being male, a football player, from LA (uh the game is set there and he yelled a friendly greeting from across the street, a common thing here and hardly rude, unlike Alice calling him names for it, the rude biddy), and free labor for all of her projects. Who thought this is charming behavior on her part? Not me. Hope she falls on her face and learns to be nice or she won’t last long either in LA or in the hospitality business.

I cannot stand games with matching items to gain money and points to design, but this game so far hasn’t become too difficult where I lose interest like I have in two other games with similar matching items. I like how quickly you get to design which is why I chose this game (to design) and haven’t been disappointed yet. Definitely recommend this game. Quick match games allows for a lot of designing. Let’s help the games levels don’t become so difficult that I start doing mostly that and not designing.

So far as I’ve been playing the game it’s been a great experience.👍👍The story has been cute and the game play is not easy but easy enuff to enjoy the story line where as other games of its kind you get stuck. Then lose interest and don’t touch the game for awhile. I would recommend this game to all my friends and give good credit to the game creators. 5 star ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ all around !!!

Would give zero stars if I could. Not recommended for impressionable children. Reinforces harmful gender stereotypes from the start of the game. It then has a part where the uncle gets lost on an island and they find he’s been put in a jail cell by the indigenous people of the island. The characters use the word “savages” to describe the indigenous people, even exclaiming in fear that the indigenous people “will surely eat” the uncle. This is so incredibly offensive and unacceptable. This reinforces the white supremacist myths that were created as a way to justify colonization of land by European nations and the torture, imprisonment and genocide of its indigenous communities. Do better. Stop creating games that reinforce white supremacy.

I started playing the game and I got to the morning after the character’s first night at the hotel and I get through the conversation with
Elsa and the game says loading game files and every time it gets stuck on 1 or 3 my phone is connected to the internet even if it wasn’t, I have cellular data. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling but it just started where it was when I uninstalled ResortHotel . I like the game and would like to continue playing but I cannot do anything when this happens. Please tell me how to fix this, thank you.

I’m writing again because, even after the update, the game still crashes on me before it will even open. This is one of my fave games but I’m considering deleting it because I am unable to play it. Like I said in my previous review, I don’t want to delete it then redownload it because I will lose all my progress. Can you help?

I really like this game. It uses up a lot of my time. For the past few days ResortHotel closes on me. I’m on an iPhone. I have offloaded ResortHotel and reloaded it again but that has not helped. I don’t want to completely delete it and then redownload it because I will lose all of my progress. Also, is there a way to become friends with other players?

This game is like Gardenscapes, you make it to a certain level & BAM you can’t go further without spending your hard earned $ to buy boosts to beat levels. It’s a fun game, what you win is little things.... it doesn’t really let you remodel things. I was shocked to see game let me “remodel” a cabin & poof hotel exterior matched the small cabin.

Nothing plays in order, start remodeling court yard, it then takes you to the beach, back to court yard to pool.... where you find a dog.... back to beach..... back to court yard for Christmas decorations..... back to beach to build a pier.

To me.... my opinion only, not worth the download.

I am really tired of games that get you caught and then . . . I have enjoyed this game for several days. Probably spent more time than I should have playing but once again they get you to a level that is too hard to win AND you need to win in order to do things like “answer the phone”, I stop playing. I wouldn’t mind that lame “answer the phone” if winning was doable. I just spent 30 minutes of “infinity” play and only won one game. Not even enough to do anything. This game was fun until . . . I always delete games that are just there to waste my time. So deleting now. #fail

I love this game in fact I’ve finished all the storylines that I’m just play through the levels and was wondering if you’ll be adding new storylines anytime soon?? The only problem I have with the game is that I can never get the T.V. Marathon to work and I don’t know why it shows me how many hours left until the next one but it never works for me….!!!! Please fix this so I can participate and those events as well thank you
