This has got to be the worst app I have ever used. Doesn’t even scan the pictures in my albums which is supposed to be a basic feature in a scanner app. On top of that, the “free trial” charges $0.99 per week. So I paid to get nothing. The editing features ScanNow offers is trash. I can do better with a normal (free) editing mode. If it was free, I don’t really think I would’ve minded as much. If you’re going to take money (even if that’s $0.10) from the get go, I need to get better results than this.
I uploaded a 27 page document that was an image and it quickly and easily converted it to text. When I tried to use the output it did not work. I tried 3 different ways, first “copy all” which I’d planned to drop into a word file. This gave me only about 1 1/2 pages of the 27. I tried to export as pdf - spinning wheel of death. Then I tried to export to word - spinning wheel of death.
Absolutely horrible handwriting to text app. I write very quickly when taking notes and it’s admittedly far from perfectly written letters but any adult human that speaks English could read it. When ScanNow tried to generate a digital copy it generated absolute gibberish with nothing even remotely close to what was written. And compared to my parent’s generation(age 71), my writing is WAY more legible.
It gave two options and showed the year at $5 scrolled to look at info and saw no other pricing increase or anything listed. Suddenly a charge came through for $65. Will be fighting with my bank to dispute this I canceled the subscription as soon as I saw that and never used ScanNow .
ScanNow provided a good solution for me to submit my chemistry lab documents to Canvas (a college education system), organized and in order. However, there are limits to how many things you can submit or the quality of resolution with which you download your pictures. So I subscribed, $8 a month. But after I had been using ScanNow for a while, it stopped working for me. I would get my documents organized in ScanNow but as I tried to download them to my Files app, Scan Now would refuse to let me export them. It would not explain why, just acted like it was loading then kicked me back to the starting point. I believe that this is a problem within ScanNow , because every time this has happened to me, I have had a good connection to WiFi, so there’s no reason it should not load.
I had several pages that I needed to convert into a landscape pdf. ScanNow only gave me the option of making it into portrait.
Wish it wasn’t pay-walled so hard, but it is very easy and straight forward to use, will use again.
ScanNow makes editing and sending documents from my phone quick and easy.
I have taken a scan or picture of an old photo, but I don’t know how to save it to my photos in my iPhone?
This is an amazing app especially trying to run a business in this day and time. When contracts are written and signed over the phone this is an invaluable piece of the puzzle.
App was easy to install and update my images to pdf files .
ScanNow has helped me scan documents that need to sent as a PDF when I don’t have access to a PC. I will definitely recommend to others.
Very easy to use as I’m not tech savvy! A great feature is it identifies a document frames it and straightened it. Easy to export!

Costs for APP is not apparent until you download. First 10 scans should be free to test APP before requiring a purchase.
