Just like the title says, DraftDominator has gone downhill fast. Now this review does not come from using this for just one year. I have used DraftDominator and paid for the service over 5 to 6 years. Every year the paid subscription cost a little bit more and DraftDominator seems to be a little bit more buggy. I don’t see any improvements to DraftDominator from year to year other than roster updates and it seems like the software is only getting worse now this year, I paid for the service again and DraftDominator will not recognize my purchases. Which means I’m now paying for a service I cannot use and there’s no way to contact these people to get them to help. Don’t walk away from DraftDominator, run from it. I highly recommend not purchasing DraftDominator or any of it services.

I’ve used DraftDominator for several years now and had great experiences. The pricing increase was fine and I did pay for 1 month, but quickly cancelled my subscription. Adding and syncing leagues just spun and errored out. After trying multiple times on two different devices I finally got a sync to happen. The ui was in bad shape, columns squished together and overall poor experience. If you are going to change the pricing to a premium I would expect a premium app experience. I wouldn’t even use this if it was free in its current state.

I am in a $250 ESPN league that has been running for 10+ years. I’ve re-upped my subscription to football guys two days before my draft. For two straight days DraftDominator refused to input the settings from my league. every time I restarted DraftDominator , deleted DraftDominator , re-downloaded DraftDominator , I still got the same “ something went wrong here, please reload” response. I live a busy life and didn’t have time to input all of the intricacies of our specific league into DraftDominator before the draft-that’s what I paid as a subscriber for DraftDominator to do for me. extremely disappointing as I have been a staunch supporter and user of football guys products for three consecutive years.

As much as I have enjoyed Footballguys tools for over two decades, the inexcusably poor performance of this year’s Draft Dominator is leaving a bad taste in my mouth. DraftDominator inexplicably has Jacoby Brissett listed as the runaway QB1 despite the projections on his page on DraftDominator falling in line with him being one of the worst starters in the league. Unless it is fixed by my draft Tuesday night, this year’s version is utterly unusable and a waste of time and money. I expect much better from you guys.

Used to be my secret go-to app for mock drafts. Did the subscription for the last month or two once it came out and app has not changed although the price has. Inconsistent settings like saying I’m at my roster max for a position when I’m actually entering in picks for other teams is annoying, but the real issue is they’ve taken away the feature to view other fantasy teams rankings post-real draft unless you email it to them directly. Constant issues with no syncing between desktop and mobile app, data getting erased and having to reload all accounts, etc. makes me not justify spending any money on this antiquated app design. Emailed reports/ranking formatting also not compatible since their logo repeats itself 50x in the email body every other paragraph. We’re in 2022, not 2002 html basics. Step your game up.

I loved the draft dominator last year as a stand alone app. I purchased the month like suggested as a pro($9.99) close to draft date to try it out. Pop up’s constantly for upgrade even though it shows I am pro. My league uses 2 keepers and I don’t need elite if I custom edit the rosters before draft but app still thinks I need to upgrade so every screen it pops up with the costs annual/monthly screen. Very annoying and haven’t been satisfied with this new version.

As a long time returning customer, I was looking forward to my annual download of DraftDominator. This price gouge is a slap in the face to loyal customers who have use this service year after year. Clearly the developers have become too greedy, and do not care about a solid customer base. Now I am beginning my quest to find a new company to be loyal to.

I used DraftDominator and the League Dominator for years but they switched there pricing model to $9.99 a month instead of roughly the same amount total for the two apps….no thanks, just lost me as a customer. Is the information good? Sure. Is it anything you can’t find elsewhere for less? Not really.

As you can see by everyone else's 1 star comment I'm further expressing disappointment at the football guys money grab. People would've probably paid 9.99 for this. It's a shame you've gone this route. Like previous commenters I wondered why it was free. It's too bad your competitors will now get money that would've been meant for you.

Great job guys. Ya greedy pigs. There are plenty of perfectly decent draft apps on the market and I gladly pay the $5 because I like this one. But to heck with you guys. Not this year.

What you have done is completely alienated people who play fantasy football and enjoy a decent draft app, but aren’t at all interested in any other aspect of what you offer.

I used to look forward to the draft dominator every year. It was only $5 and was great for customizing to my league’s settings.

Now FootballGuys forces you to buy their full subscription to use the draft dominator app. I don’t want anything else, just DraftDominator. You’ve lost a customer in me through this change. Very disappointing.

Echoing other posts, forcing a $50 subscription to use an app that a casual player only uses for a couple weeks each year feels like a bad idea. I suppose we’ll see next year. Gonna try something else. I will say that it had been super convenient, particularly the auto league upload.

I've been a loyal user of the Draft Dominator and League Dominator apps for many years, consistently achieving success and even winning my leagues with them. This year, I was fortunate to secure the 3rd overall pick, but unfortunately, Draft Dominator and the ESPN app didn't work together. Nevertheless, I had a fantastic draft on my own in a 12-man league, selecting Ja'Marr Chase at 3rd and Patrick Mahomes at 22nd.

The ongoing issue is that the ESPN app still isn't functioning, even just a week before kickoff. Looking ahead, the prospects for next season are uncertain because I initially purchased the Draft Dominator app for my iPhone (on autopay). However, I wanted to use it on my new iPad, so I ended up buying it again with the intention of using it specifically with the ESPN league apps information. So, I'm already down over $140, and sadly, I wasn’t able to start or complete a single draft.

Give people the option of paying like normal or subscribing for the bloat that most people don’t/won’t use. I don’t care about all the extras. I want to be able to mock and customize scoring like normal. This was my go to for my drafts for years. Now I have to find something new to use and get used to. It’s a shame that greed ruins so many good things. I will be deleting DraftDominator .

I bought DraftDominator every year and would get both the draft and league dominator. The new subscription model is more than the total cost for just one month. The total price upfront is almost 5x the previous cost. At this point it isn’t worth it anymore to use DraftDominator and site. I’ll go elsewhere for my draft and roster information.

Huge shame, I’ve bought this every year for the last 5 years and used to advertise it to all of my league mates. Seems they got greedy and updated to no monthly option, charging $50 per year is so ridiculous as most people only use the service for the draft itself (why even have an app SPECIFICALLY for the draft that requires a yearly subscription?!). Not to mention they screwed up the mobile accessibility and require a computer for ESPN leagues. The extra cost has not lead to ANY improvements sadly.

Crazy cash grab from a company I used to trust and thought was ahead of the game. Check Reddit for reviews and you will see the same. Used to be touted as the best FF asset on the market.

Save yourself $50 and use your own rankings.

DraftDominator was convenient, but not that impressive. I was willing to pay the $4.99 for convenience. $48/year… these guys are about to find out how unnecessary they are. Then they respond telling me to just do the 1 month for $9.99 and cancel… that’s still too much for a draft. There are plenty of rank list available that I’ll just print. DraftDominator was convenient, not a crystal ball. Get over yourselves, your greed will be your downfall. Bye

Loved the draft app. Too bad it appears the new business model requires you get both.

Was still thinking about checking it out but can’t even start a new registration. Says I am not connected to the internet but yet I can write this review and can get into all my other apps … it is not my internet … it’s your app?

Too bad you overestimated your need. Kinda silly to open up a void in a section you could’ve owned majority of business in. Don’t try to force product onto ppl for greed. $7.99 price raise would’ve netted you much more revenue. I don’t want the cookie cutter response. It’s your business, run it into the ground if you choose. I’d rather do business with a company that treats customers with respect and this price gouge is disrespectful. Every single app that has a good thing going with a pay once fee has great success. And then somebody gets greedy, sitting around a table discussing how they can “offer” more for a sub based fee. We DON’T want more useless, we want what has been working great for our draft day and that’s it. And no do not say just pay our 9.99 1 month fee then cancel. Your app was 4.99 for YEARS, why ruin a good thing? We all are suffering in this inflation, i can understand a small increase. I would pay 5.99, 6.99 maybe even 7.99 for a one time purchase. But a switch to sub has ruined every app or website I’ve ever used. Time to find a new draft day app.

I’ll echo everyone else here and express my disappointment at their new pricing. This was my go-to app for years and I was relieved to finally find it back in DraftDominator Store. Wondered why it was free and had so many one star reviews, but then I saw why immediately. It’s ridiculous that an app that cost $5 every year is now suddenly $48. I don’t have anything else to add that others haven’t already said, I just want the company to feel the impact of their awful decision to alienate their customers

Edit: I’m adding this since they seem to be copy and pasting the same cookie cutter response to everyone. I was actually considering doing one month for $10, but now I don’t feel inclined at all to give this company any of my money unless they go back to their old pricing model. They’re probably just banking on people paying for a month and forgetting to unsubscribe.

DraftDominator used to be amazing and helped me win my league for 3 years. For the last 2 years, however, it’s been so buggy that it essentially didn’t work at all on draft day. I blamed myself for not setting things up properly and tried again this year… but now I’m starting way ahead of time, it’s not importing my league at all, and the “help” page I’m being redirected to is just buffering (my internet connection is fine). Used to be worth it, now they’ve significantly raised the price and the user interface has gotten SIGNIFICANTLY worse. Essentially useless.

If you try to go through the website version of the page, you have to have Google Chrome installed to import your team’s settings. This is useless for an iPad user.

In the draft app itself, you can’t navigate the features as clicking on the buttons does nothing.

Trying to go “old school” and printing out cheat sheets doesn’t even give you one sheet! Even if you follow their specialized printing instructions, you end up with two sheets. Maybe some scissors and scotch tape can help in this regard.

I thought that maybe DraftDominator was designed for the iPhone, so I download DraftDominator there. But when I logged in, I saw draft data for last year’s draft.

Maybe I can salvage some of my investment with their articles, but overall a huge disappointment in functionality.

I would give one star, but I have read their content for free in their emails and don’t want to seem totally ungrateful for what they are trying to do.

After setting up my league’s team order and putting names to each, I started the Real Draft and all team names were reset to the previous season’s names. I couldn’t figure out how to change them back. Also, when I made some tweaks to the scoring, etc., an ad would continually pop up asking if I wanted to upgrade to the next level. Because of these distractions, I don’t think that I had my best draft.

I have used DraftDominator for several years at this point. To make things clear, I do like DraftDominator ….but…issues are mounting year after year to the point where it’s time to consider different apps.

This years issue is importing your league setting specifically ESPN. You literally have to download an extension on your pc (chrome only) and log in through the site and sync. If you have any active antivirus or firewalls make sure to disable after install. Otherwise while you think the website is trying to sync with your league you are just sitting there waiting and nothing will ever happen. DraftDominator itself is useless to sync ESPN.

Previous years issues, app crashing in middle of draft. Syncing with updated player data (injuries, depth chart changes, trades) takes several days at times.

Year to year there seems to be a few more bugs. They should spend a little more time on DraftDominator quality.

I’ve been using DraftDominator for years and this year they decided to go for a money grab. Expensive yearly fee or pay by the month for almost twice the cost as the draft dominator of years past. Super disappointed and will be moving on. If you lose customers you can’t stay in business, no matter how much you choose to charge. In this game of fantasy football, there’s a lot of players to take your place. Byyyyyyyeeeeeee

Sometimes the updates arbitrarily revert to last years data and players go missing. Rebooting DraftDominator , manually updating or finding the “restore purchases” helps sometimes. User shouldn’t have to scramble for work arounds. Contacted customer service and got no reply. Disappointing because It can be such a great app when it’s working properly. Been using for several years now and this release has been the most problematic.

Paid for this for first time this year instead of the fantasy Pros tool. Disappointed in the rate my team. All day today, I receive either a message that my roster wasn’t saved to the cloud or my rate my team grade is D or F because system isn’t picking up all of the spots I drafted. No it’s not the quality of my players drafted. When it does pick up my entire drafted roster, my roster grades are A or B+. Can’t figure out how to contact support directly even though the error message about the cloud not loading says to contact support. Very disappointing so far. It seems injuries that are 4 days old aren’t updated to give the replacement player a boost (e.g. Tim Patrick/KJ Hamler, Hopkins listed as high level recommended player despite suspension, etc…). Contacted the support site cited in the error message and I get message that the company can no longer be found on the zendesk site address from the error message. I’m glad I didn’t pay full price and this came as part of a heavily discounted package through Rotopass.

What happened to DraftDominator? It got insanely more expensive yet the draft grading doesn’t work correctly. It also cannot import my league from CBS. It keeps saying it can’t login to CBS but I know for a fact I’m using the correct logins.

This totally works, but you have to manually set up your league. You can import the league and the team names will be right, but things like draft order and keepers never sync. You’ll have to do it manually. And the projections don’t change for dynasty, it’ll show the same rankings as redraft.

If you know what you’re doing, and put in the work to set everything up right, then DraftDominator is great. Definitely not worth the $14 I paid, since it doesn’t work at all for dynasty. Just get the basic subscription and you’ll be fine.

I’ve used the draft dominator for at least the last 5 years, possibly longer but I can’t remember. I like the rankings but I hate that they have moved to requiring a subscription to use DraftDominator ’s features as opposed to a one time payment for each draft season. I’d give 5 stars if it wasn’t for that.

I’ve bought DraftDominator for $5 for years, and would’ve gladly paid double. The switch to a per month or annual subscription is a real disappointment. It’s still good information but the ability to tailor it to your league was huge. I loved just buying DraftDominator up front and not having to worry about subscriptions. Please give us the option to go back to the way it has been for years.

Can’t use DraftDominator in split screen mode on my iPad. Says it’s not supported. Also, my leagues have IR slots and this draft app can’t cope with that making things not as compatible as I’d like. When running a mock draft using my league settings it keeps suggesting positions I’ve already filled and would have zero chance of drafting. App seems less intuitive than previous years. One plus is their player news is updated well.

I’ve been using Draft Dominator for 7 years and have the winning record in my league. I love it! I’m not sure what happened this year but I can’t load my league through DraftDominator but have to go to a computer, then use Chrome, then download the Football Guys Chrome extension. Are you for real? Well, I did all that. Now I’m there and it says to click on “the button below to refresh the page to login” to my provider but there isn’t a button below. I’ve got 24 hours to get this resolved in time for my draft. This is NOT a good experience this year!

edit - I was able to get set with my ESPN league in time for my draft. Customer support was quick to respond and very helpful. I’d give 3 stars due to the difficulty level this year, I should be able to do everything on DraftDominator and wasn’t, but the Football Guys haven’t let me down with a quality draft for years now and I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt. Hopefully next year will be much smoother and I’ll be back with a 5 star review.

I’ve used DraftDominator each year since 2016 - very comprehensive, and invaluable on draft day for building the perfect roster. Even after the recent update, which fixed not being able to filter by position, I still can’t seen to switch between expanded view and the draft board. Just stuck in expanded view unless I start the draft.

I’ve been using the dominator for a few years now so I thought I’d share. I know everybody is saying it, I too remember the $5 subscription and I’m also a little disappointed with the current cost. I think this is one of the better apps out there and do enjoy using it. I also need to make sure and mention the problems I had trying to sync my leagues last season. I was having no luck with everything I tried and I reached out to the football guys support team. Can’t remember who I was working with, but he worked hard to get it corrected and was in constant communication with me through email. I appreciated his support and response to get DraftDominator working for me again. Overall, I continue to recommend DraftDominator for draft day, but also hope they consider lowering the price someday. To be fair, everything is getting more expensive, but lowering the subscription cost sure would be helpful.

Best draft app and knowledge base in the industry. Been using them since 1998. The amount of data and information you get is second to none.

This saves me every year for my drafts. It makes things so easy on me especially with the customized settings my league has.

Very helpful tool. The response team is also very good. I had a little trouble with DraftDominator this year and they helped me sort it out very quickly. Highly recommend.

I’ve been using Footballguys for years and this tool is next level for understanding how make value based picks based on your league’s specific settings. Enjoy!

Wanna give the benefit of the doubt here but for now can’t….hopefully the podcast will explain.

I’ve been using these apps for years now and have been a subscriber as well. I like the fact that the apps are now included in the subscription since now I only have to make one purchase. The apps are great but there’s also great value in the subscription and articles on the website. Personally I always thought the price of the apps were on the cheaper side so the increase I believe is justified. There’s a lot of work that goes into daily updates all season long and people don’t realize that when they hit that update button in DraftDominator . I like the draft app but the dominator app is where the value is. Keep up the good work and remember you can’t always please everyone.

Been using DraftDominator for about 5 years now. I love how it adapts to all your individual draft settings. Also nice to be able to do mock drafts. My team is normally very close to what I see in the mock drafts. I can’t find DraftDominator for the league dominator is DraftDominator Store. I don’t mind the monthly cost because I have been purchasing both apps anyway. Does off a good discount for purchasing for the year.

All other apps are just pulling ADP info. If you’re happy losing, stick with that method. If you want to know what pick has the most value, and you want to dominate your league, you need Draft Dominator. Draft Dominator is fully customizable to your league settings, and if you’ve traded draft picks, you can even set that up in DraftDominator .

Great app and really does help the draft process, but can we please remove Calvin Ridley from DraftDominator or rank him much much lower? I’m on rd 2 in a mock draft right now and DraftDominator is telling me to pick him next. This should be fixed. To my knowledge there is no way of manually removing a player from the draft process.

Update: Switching rating from 4 to 5 stars! Contacted the developer and they got back to me very shortly with a very easy fix to correct the problem I was having. Great customer service!
