AEOU: Aesthetic Photo + Video Reviews

These filters are perfectly Instagrammy without forcing you to learn an Adobe product. And it works with video, which was a VERY pleasant surprise! I’m only knocking off a star because the quiz (which I LOVE the concept for! Why doesn’t everyone offer this?) could be more detailed/have longer questions to be sure the right filters pop up for you. I retake the quiz frequently, and I find my answers change with my mood. I know that’s a me problem (and might just be a sign that I’m a true Eclectic), but it would be nice to not go through a mini identity crisis, especially now that I am thinking of changing my branding, and would like to be cohesive across platforms and website. But seriously. Love AEOU !

Not trying to be a jerk but as someone who has been following Kate and Joey for at least 8 years now I’m very disappointed. Another photo editing app that you have to pay $3+ for? We have photoshop, we have FaceTune, Instagram, even my iPhone has its own filters so AEOU is useless. I would LOVE an app that has something to do with INTERIOR DESIGN… what Kate and Joey started their careers with. It’s like since getting a large following and doing other famous (YouTubers) homes y’all do not care about your followers and the original reason they followed you. Like, can I have an app that puts the furniture you sell into my home? So I can see what it looks like? I’m sure they’ll be successful cos YouTubers with this kinda following generally are but AEOU makes no sense in 2022. And I’m def not giving y’all my money for some filters that aren’t even that great.

I just… love Mr. Kate. There, I said it. She could sell a cardboard box and I’d likely buy it. But when I saw AEOU is exquisite in editing options, I mean it truly takes my breath away. Not even to mention the amazing aesthetic test to help you narrow down editing options. I’m a boho style myself and having a curated filters list for me is going to make my editing life so much easier. I love the fun Mr. Kate touches with the freckles and her moon art, etc. it just feels like your sitting with a friend editing pictures for instagram. 10/10 love it to the moon and back (pun intended)

Mr. Kate has done it again- a great space for creative weirdos! AEOU is easy to use and very straight forward. Beautifully designed!

My only critique would be to have an option to “re-paint” on what you’ve erased when adding a wallpaper, rather then just a back button. And maybe an option to zoom in when trying to erase to really get a clean edge!

Other than that- I love everything about AEOU!

So many of your followers love that you show them how to be thrifty and chic. We love your use of color. I was disappointed to see that the rainbow option on your filters was not available without upgrading. Do your thrifty followers a favor and add the rainbow to the accessible filters without having to upgrade.

Rainbows mean so many things to so many ppl; from a promise of a better future, pride in one’s self, to hope after a miscarriage.

AEOU has a been fun so far and I look forward to the creative challenges piece. Good job and thank for inspiring me to stay creative.

AEOU has more to offer than Adobe Lightroom and it’s pretty straight forward once you figure out all the categories. It would be nice to have access to all the style categories like boho and glam when you already have retro for when your mood changes. Just wish when I start to tinker around I would get less pop ups about the monthly subscription.

Also, the quiz is super fun and I found it to be accurate in terms of my own personal aesthetic. I love that there are personalized filters in AEOU that reflect my unique aesthetic! 💜

I love array of editing options available within the AUOU app. I love that the filters don’t alter my face like on instagram and Snapchat. I can show the natural beauty of what I take photos of (like my selfies) and simply enhance them. The wallpaper addition is so cool, it really adds so much creative style and weirdness that I love!!! I’ll be using this very often!

What a fun and useful app - easy to use, too! I have only recently begun to follow Mr. Kate but am really drawn to their creative inspiration and look forward to this next-level engagement. The free features are appreciated, but I am opting for a paid subscription since I’ve quickly realized this is going to be a go-to app for me. Oh - and my aesthetic is Minimalist!

I have tried many apps in my day to edit photos, this one takes the cake!! I love that it asks questions to get to know you and your personal style! It has fun creative challenges for you to do, which is so different then any other editing app I’ve seen! I can’t wait to really deep dive into AEOU.

My side hobby is taking pictures of my family and friends! I charge nothing to do this so I use free editing apps to help me create the aesthetic I love for my photos! I am so excited to use AEOU to help grow my potential side hustle!! I took a quiz and it filtered my aesthetic to fit me and everything! So user friendly and amazing!

I’ve only been playing around for a few minutes, but AEOU is really fun and easy to use!! I’ve tried to accomplish these same effects using Lightroom but these filters just look so much better and are way easier to learn!

This editing app is very unique and inspires you to try out different editing styles through the creative challenges! The features and user experience makes it stand out from other generic editing apps out there.

Some one the questions the pictures wouldn’t load page 2,4,6 and then when you choose your interior the 3rd option doesn’t show either, I’m excited to try out AEOU for editing!

I love AEOU so much! The filters are so perfect. I’ve never had a photo app match the type of filter I like but this one does! I love that you take a quiz before and it recommends filters based on your style. I’m obsessed! 🧡

I love using AEOU for my pics. I don’t Edit my pics often but it’s colorful and simple to where I find myself going there after lil photos of myself. My pets or my sweet child

I’m obsessed with AEOU. There are SO many options, it’s incredibly user friendly, and just super solid all around. (Also not a “pay to play” so to speak). I use it for things I would’ve never guessed I’d use it for, such as editing reference photos for my paintings - you can play with so much color! Palette play, as I say!! Also, seeing potential designs for spaces, color correcting various photos of family. Just like, liiiiiterally everything.

You take the quiz at the beginning which was a quick and fun thing. However, most of the styles I did not even feel the most attached too. There was no farm style, western, or a vintage inspired option. Mostly modern and colorful. Then, all it gives you is the chance to edit photos. Unless you pay for the extended version, you only have like 3 filters to choose from. I thought AEOU would have furniture and multiple wallpapers to be able to take a picture of the space and put the objects in it. Apple photo editing is easier and better than what AEOU can do!! Love mr Kate but this was a big disappointment

I remember taking the quiz when it came out years ago. And this time I did get slightly the same but slightly different. I love it. It’s spot on. And I love the filters because they don’t look fake and cheap. They are actually really nice. Only using this for now on!!

I absolutely love that AEOU is free and that you offer FREE filters and editing as well as some gorgeous filters we can purchase too! I love that even though you can’t use all the filters if you want to buy them. They are very affordable! Thank you Kate and Joey love y’all ❤️
