It could be better.

I purchased the option to remove ads just so I have a time waster, the three starts are for the fact that it is indeed a time waster. BUT, if you like the idea of progression, you may want to skip this. Upgrades don’t feel like upgrades, and they really don’t seem to make you any more powerful. There’s also a leaderboard with names which seemed cool, until I realized that there’s no profile option in the settings. So I’m assuming the leaderboard is just a list of generated names to make it feel like you’re getting ahead… As far as glitches, there’s a few VERY frustrating glitches that make this a deal breaker. Wrong camera angle when going down curves (which doesn’t correct), going too fast through the finish line doesn’t register chain breaks and causes the balls to just “float” aimlessly. Combo reset is based on time and not consecutive ball hits (how strange). And the worse is it’s very common for the end of a round not to register, forcing you to restart. Just a few tweaks and glitch corrections could make this worth it.

Glitchy

The game is fun and pretty addictive but it’s glitchy. It will randomly act as if the ball has run its course and I need to shoot again but I have just shot the ball and nothing has touched the screen. It will then instantly tell me I have failed and ask if I want to revive. There have been a few times where the ball has been completely off the track (like floating in mid air off course) and it will still make me shoot only to kill me. I also hate how at the end if you don’t have enough balls to get to the finish it will occasionally just sit there until the end of time. I have to completely close BumpPop and play the level again - it doesn’t just auto finish.

Potential is there, but lacking so far.

The concept is nice and simple enough. Yay! Bright colors as the balls pop! But the implementation needs work.

First, the game takes over the audio. I love to listen to podcasts or music when I play games like this. That’s not an option because BumpPop always shuts down whatever else is going on. The only way to listen is if you’re using an external device you can press play on after opening this game.

Then there are the upgrades. You can keep upgrading, but the effect stops after so many levels. And just into the 20s, so it doesn’t take long to max them out. There’s no reason the cash should top at at 2.1, that stuff is worthless anyways as all you can spend it on is these upgrades that quickly become worthless. I get BumpPop probably couldn’t handle 100 balls popping out every time, so I understand the logistical reason to limit it to about 25, but at least let the score and combos go up with the upgrade.

Speaking of combos, there’s no reason they should be scored by time. A combo shouldn’t end because the balls go over a ramp. The combos should be based on how many balls you pop on each shot. Especially since they appear to be nothing other than flashy lights and one of 4 or 5 scripts that pop up.

This can be a fun little eye-candy time waster, but it needs some work.

Lag & Ads

The game is fun and it’s a great game to waste your time upon, however, the lag and ad count is ridiculous. I do not know if it’s my device’s doing, but the lag is horrendous. It makes this game seriously unplayable. As for the ads, it makes the game unenjoyable. Most of the times, ads would kill the fun for nearly everything and that’s what this game mostly consists of. I understand if you need to input an ad or so for revenue, however, placing an ad down after every completed level is unnecessary. Besides, people can watch an ad for free rewards and what not, implementing that many ads is seriously unnecessary. Because of those two strong, critical issues, I will give this game a two star mostly because the lag makes this game unplayable. If it’s my doing, then I’ll give this a three star instead. Otherwise, serious improvements. I do like where this game is heading, however, and I encourage you to continue on to this path.

The adds, and other issues

The game is fun without a doubt but the amount of adds are ridiculous. Each level is only a few seconds long. The adds take up 2 maybe 3 times as long to get through then after selecting to close the add, up to 3 additional adds pop up, as if to say, “Are you sure you don’t want this? Just take a few more seconds to decide.” Another issue I have is after about 5 minutes of active use my brand new phone starts to get uncomfortably hot and I have to get off the game and let my phone cool down. My final issue is often I will be on a role in a level, then suddenly the game ends in a manner that indicates I have lost the level. Meanwhile, I was about to relaunch to continue advancing in the level. The concept of the game is fun but the adds, and these issues need to be addressed before I decide to reinstall this game.

Love game, but needs improvement.

I love this game, but there are some glitches that need fixed. Unfortunately, the most recent glitch has led me to no longer want to play the game. I have been playing for 5 or 6 months now and I have gotten to level 2192. I was in 7th place after starting out in over 80,000th. Then, on the next turn, a glitch that puts me in 85,690th place tied with one other person and no one else showing on the leader board. Not only that, but I am stuck in that place and do not move even if I continue to play. I am a competitive person so this takes all the fun out of the game and makes me almost HATE the game since I spent all that time getting so high in the leaderboard to be shanked! The more I write the more irritated I am getting so this is the end of my review.

This game is so bugged

It’s a very fun game trust me but the amount of bugs are annoying. I remember one time I was off to a very good start where I hit a ball and it just kept going and going and I didn’t need to stop and hit another ball until the flow just stopped and forced me to hit another ball…

Not to mention the bug with going down the slide is so annoying. When you go down the slide your camera angle gets so messed up to where if your ball stops you can’t even see where the next ball is located, causing you to restart your game

And sometimes when your going through the chains at the finish line and you get to the final chain that your balls can go through the game kind of freezes and doesn’t allow you to go to the next level

And another problem I have with this game is where sometimes it forces you to spend your money. I would be trying to start a level and a pop up would go “don’t forget to upgrade!” And there’s no “x” button and even if you try to close the game window the pop up is still there.

This game has a lot of potential but with a little bug fixes it could be so much better!!!

Crazy amount of ads

I really like this game, it’s fun to play with your bored. BUT oh my god the ads, like come on ?! After every single game, an ad. I even had ads after choosing to watch an ad for extra coins !! Making me want to completely stop playing the game, considering after every play I have to sit thru an ad. Other then ads, great game. Don’t download if you hate ads.

Half-Baked Game

Thus game was fun for the first little bit, but after a little bit of playing, I realized a couple of things.

1. Gameplay looks nothing like what the screenshots show you. There’s very little variation in the level scenery, and individual levels don’t change much at all.

2. After finishing a level, it’ll give you the option to watch a video for bonus cash, or just continue. 95% of the time, if you decide to skip the bonus video, it’ll STILL make you watch an ad.

3. The levels on the extra balls and extra income either do hardly anything, or offer no benefit whatsoever. I’ve got my extra balls to over level 300, and I’m not seeing any difference in balls obtained or even making it further on the final chain breaking event. So you’re watching videos for extra cash and levels for literally no benefit to your game.

4. What the heck does the final chain event even do? Just to see how far you can go for kicks and giggles? It offers no noticeable bonus at all. And good luck getting past anything further than around 75.

Honestly, this is a pretty half-baked game, and the devs on this game should feel pretty ashamed for putting out something far below mediocre.

Disappointing Gameplay + Too Many Ads

I downloaded this because it looked fun and I saw a past review saying there weren’t a bunch of ads. Of course, that’s not true anymore. Every time I go up a fan in one of the levels it says I’ve failed, which is irritating because there’s nothing to prompt me failing said level for playing it like it’s supposed to.
Of course the no ads review doesn’t hold true anymore, I’ve been bombarded with ads (some of them being un-skippable) even though I haven’t selected the reward multiplier at the end of a level.

I’ve had the game for about two days, but honestly I’ve ready to delete it already because this is just awful. What even happened to the decent games developers actually used to make? I would love to know because this is just disappointing 😕

Ad Machine

This game, and so many others like it, is nothing but an ad revenue machine. I’m close to 100 levels in and have watched more ads than I can even count. Even with all the time and ads, I still can’t break the 70 chain at the end of the rounds. The game makes no sense in how it functions. You would think all the balls you multiply factor into your final total to break the chains but nothing seems to matter other than the very final ball you hit right at the end. The game is also extremely glitchy. I was stuck on a level where the balls would come to a screeching halt and then wouldn’t let me shoot again so I failed. Finally after about the 15th try one of the balls got through the glitch and activated the next ball. I’d give the game zero stars if I could. Definitely do not download.

By

Decent Game, bad glitching though

I have had this game over a week now and at first it was fine, no issues, but then it started to glitch where a ball will go off track and disappear but the game has me in the middle of the air to start my next shot using that invisible ball, and refuses to let me angle the line towards anything so I fail. Lately, it’s been showing me the ball it says I should use for the next hit and when I do it says I failed and shows a new ball as the one I should have used! I will have balls in the air still flying and it gives me the line to shoot the next ball but the last play hasn’t finished yet!

By

It’s ok

It’s quite satisfying to watch the balls multiply down the course, but that’s about all you get out of this game. There are quite a few glitches that happen that cause you to have to restart the level and skip the ending of a course when you would’ve made it pretty far.

Also don’t bother watching the extra ads for the upgrades. They don’t seem to do much if anything. I spent the time testing it by going up 100 levels and did not notice any change.

Despite those things, it’s a fun game if you just want to waste time watching the balls go through the course.

Capped amount of balls and earnings

I don’t write reviews often but I feel like I had to for this game. I personally would’ve loved if there was no cap for the amount of balls you could have at once because it would be super satisfying. Even through you can upgrade the amount of balls you get from touching one, the maximum is 26 per ball hit. The earnings is capped at 2.1 per ball as well.

If there are caps for the only 2 upgrades you can do, why don’t you tell us it’s maxed out? Instead you force ads on us even though it’s maxed.

Also the game randomly glitches and all your momentum is stopped for no reason pretty often.

Update!! To many ads!

I used to play this game daily to pass time while waiting in line to pick up my child from school. But since the update I just can’t. Used to be able to play without internet but now it forces you to have an internet connection so that you are forced to watch the insane amount of ads they put in the game. When I say insane amount, there is an ad after every level. And even if you don’t want to get the extra money you are still forced to watch an ad. It’s pretty sad when the ads are longer than the time it takes to complete one level.

By

Overtakes system sounds

The game is a fun concept, however it overtakes all system sounds and I can’t even play my music in the background. Also, wayyyy to many ads. I get you need ads to make money but the way companies do it makes absolutely no sense. If you bombard me with ads I’ll play for maybe an hour before deleting BumpPop . But if you make it every 4th or 5th level I’m more likely to keep playing the game and become more invested. So you can either get an hours worth of ads watched or days/weeks of ads watched, which equates to more money in your pocket. Just a thought.

2 stars because it’s not the worst

If you’re looking for mindless, this is it. Past that it isn’t great.

Upgrades are pointless and legitimately do nothing. It caps out at 31 balls and $2.1 per ball.

The optimization shortcuts taken are obvious. Instead of actually optimizing the game, they just despawn the balls behind you. It makes sense to do this at a large enough distance, but pretty much once the balls go off screen they’re gone. I would have no problem with this except for the fact that majority of the balls at the end are despawned and at best you can make it to the 75-80 chain.

By

No more progression

I was having fun with it, until… Once I got to each ball producing 32 balls, it stopped there. I can watch videos to add more balls over and over, but it never produces more than 32. I’ll never make it to the weird looking vortex at the end because of this issue.

Also every level looks nearly the same. But the videos that are advertised with the game show many different looks to the levels. I’m tired of the same thing over and over. How do I get to other levels like that?

PLEASE FIX THE GLITCHES IN THIS GAME

I Absolutely Love This game.! It helps me with my anxiety and depression.! I relax when playing it. Please fix the problem.! I’m not one to write a review but for this game it’s worth it. And also if It’s not to much to ask you guys. To maybe down size on the adds. I understand that you need them but even it’s less then what is being shown would be so AWESOME.! 🥰🤩 THANK YOU FOR SUCH A RELAXING GAME.!

Fine game but don’t pay for ads to be off

I paid for ads to be off because there’s so many in games like this and it ruins the play. Well I still have to watch ads at points for the ball increase or income increase. If I paid for ads are off shouldn’t I be able to upgrade without being blocked by videos? It takes the fun out of the game. Why give my the currency to upgrade but not let me upgrade with what I have when I want without having to watch a video after each time? Waste of money and a horrible game structure.

By

Not as satisfying as it could be

I paid to have adds removed, I’m about 300 levels in, and have reached the point where upgrading no longer gets more expensive because they didn’t expect people to play this long. Once you hit a certain point you will just waste your in game currency. I have purchased the “more balls” upgrade 136 times most of which at $16,106 where it caps and watched countless ads to get more balls just to see if it really would change anything. I regularly finish levels with less than 100 balls going across the finish line. Most levels have three balls at the end to give you a satisfying boost of additional balls to send across the line. But if my math isn’t wrong, those 3 balls should spilt in to no less than 136x3 plus the countless ads I watched to get more. I should be sending literally 500+ balls across the line every time.

In closing, your game is dog water because the progression doesn’t work properly and I want my money back.

By

poopy game

I’m going on my walk with the dogs now so I’ll call when I’m back in town I will call and see what I need for the dogs to do with them I don’t want to get in the house I don’t know what time I have a little break from the dogs and then I’ll be home I love it so I love it and I’m gonna go get some stuff from you so you don’t need me for a little bit while I go get my stuff so I’ll be stuff to back to you soon I will text me back when you’re back home I don’t want you having a long time I don’t know what you’re gonna be up for you but I’m not sure if I will call or if you’re not I love and I’m it I just want the dogs out and then I’m done so I’m gonna be a little bit late so I’ll be there at a bit before five I can get you and I’ll just be a bit after that so I can get my stuff out the car so I can take the car to go pick it off of the car and then I’ll get my stuff from the house so you don’t have a lot to get to get to work and get to work so idk

Love the game but the glitches are ruining it

It caps out the upgrades to number of balls and money you can earn regardless of how many times you buy the upgrade. I’ve upgraded over 200 times and still get 31 balls and 2 in game currency per ball.

Now things wig out with balls going off the course and getting the game stuck or the level never completes. Also, the vortex after the finish line keeps moving back. I’m over 200 now and the vortex just keeps going.

When I first started this was a 5 star game. Now the glitches make it a 3. If it doesn’t get fixed in the next update I’ll make it a 2. I’m only playing now after a new update is released to see if anything changed. It’s a shame. It has a ton of potential.

fix the ending! and more balls!

this game is so fun and satisfying. I just wish that the ending was better. For one, I should have the option to fast forward through the ball breaking the chains. And, there should be a bonus multiplier for how many you can break. And also, sometimes all my balls that I have in the end aren’t calculated (they move backwards) which makes it very frustrating. We also need new skins

FINALLY there’s a glitch where I can’t get more balls even though i’ve paid for them. I’ve maxed out at 31

By

Is something wrong?

Game is great for passing time but if you don’t pay to not see ads then you will be constantly plagued with them. I purchased the no ads option. What I’m seeing is even after maxing out upgrading one of the balls or using coins to add balls or additional income there’s no difference than when I use balls that are level zero so what’s the point in upgrading them. Another issue…I FINALLY made it to the end line after breaking every chain….NOTHING HAPPENED! The balls just sat there and level never ended. I had to completely close the game. Pretty disappointing that after crossing the finish line nothing happened considering how hard it is to get it there in the first place.

Rating this game

I have so much fun playing this game. It is definitely fun and interesting. The reason I gave it a 3 star, is because once you complete a level, the developers make you sit through at 3 full length ads at about 65 seconds each. That means I sit and wait for 3 minutes and 45 seconds between levels. And, if you get killed you have sit through it all over again, and then they ask you if you want try again, and if you say yes, then another 3 minutes and 45 seconds to try again. It’s insane. I will give it another couple of weeks, and if it has improved by cutting down the ads and length time, I would be more inclined to up my 3 star to maybe a 4 star. IMHO

Lost view of board at level 38

Got to level 38 and now I can’t see the first ball to start the game and the whole board looks like solid colors. I can’t see what I am aiming at or where the ball is going and have no idea if I am even launching my first ball or not. Wish I could add a photo because I would show you what it looks like. Good game to pass the time but unless they fix this glitch I will be deleting BumpPop . Don’t mind the ads they are a bit excessive but tolerable to play the game for free but need to fix that you can’t see the level you are playing once you hit level 38. If I could give zero stars I would but since I can’t a single star rating it is. If they fix these glitches then I would consider changing my review but until it’s a one star game for me

It’s lame, way too many ads

Fun concept….. I guess. There’s literally an ad after every single level, yes I’ve tested this theory. 24 straight ads after each level. Also the “upgrades” that you buy with the in-game money do NOTHING. The levels get repetitive after 100 and the little chain thing at the end of each level is so useless. You get no extra point or balls or cash for breaking them. So why have them? There’s waaaaaaaayy too many ads. You will spend more time watching ads than you will actually playing them. Most level are less than 40 seconds and some ads are a 30 second video PLUS a demo screen that ads an additional 15-20 seconds. I’m convinced Royal Match paid for this game just to advertise their game.

Fun for a while

I really enjoyed playing it at first. It was very satisfying. But after reaching a certain level, all of the upgrades that I have earned money in the game for no longer work. I can “add balls” or “add money” and nothing changes. No more earnings per ball and no more balls spawned at all. Yet the game lets you still spend points on it. No way to advance after a point… takes the fun out of it. I emailed the game support over a week ago. No response
EDIT: Still no response. The MAX amount of balls you can get is 31, no matter how much you earn to “buy” more. What’s the point of playing if I can’t advance???

By

Caps Out

The idea of this game is absolutely amazing. The graphics are good, and there’s a lot of balls that you can get. However, I have noticed that the upgrades are absolutely fruitless after a short period of time. I have upgraded my income over 40 times, valued at 14,000 cash. It has capped out, however, none of the upgrades do anything anymore. I am still stuck at earning 2.9 cash for every ball. This is now the 11th upgrade that I’ve done that it’s been stuck like this. I’ve also noticed that the “more balls“ upgrade caps out as well. At this point, I should be producing about 500 balls per hit. It’s hard to enjoy the game when you cannot really progress i am now hundreds of levels in, and I purchased no ads so I could progress faster. Sadly, though, it was a waste. I may not have any advertisements, but can’t progress in the game. I would suggest updating where the upgrade caps out. Other than that it’s a good game but please make it worth it to your players!

Bump Pop: A Disappointing Dive into Ad Overload

Bump Pop, oh, where do I begin? If you're looking for a game that epitomizes the term "money hungry," look no further. BumpPop is a prime example of how not to balance gameplay and advertisements.

Picture this: you open up Bump Pop, hoping for a quick dose of entertainment. You're greeted with a game that promises quick rounds of excitement. However, that excitement is short-lived, as you're bombarded with an ad after every measly 15-second round.

Yes, you read that correctly. Fifteen seconds of gameplay, followed by a frustrating 40+ seconds of ads. It's a cycle that leaves you feeling more irritated than entertained. The game itself barely has time to captivate you before it's rudely interrupted by an advertisement that overstays its welcome.

But wait, it gets worse. Bump Pop's gameplay lacks depth and engagement, leaving you wondering why you bothered in the first place. It's a shallow experience that fails to hold your attention, especially when you're constantly being pulled out of the action by intrusive ads.

In conclusion, Bump Pop is a waste of time and a testament to the pitfalls of excessive monetization in mobile gaming. If you value your sanity and want to actually enjoy your gaming experience, steer clear of this ad-ridden mess. There are plenty of other games out there that respect your time and deliver on the promise of entertainment without constantly begging for your money.
