This works perfectly fine for a bubble pop puzzle game. Gameplay is not the problem. I went ahead and paid for no ads to keep having so many pop ups interrupt what should have been a relaxing time sink. I still had pop ups. Not ads. No, the game is full of options to watch optional ads for extra power ups (why would you need power ups for a bubble pop game?). If you get enough stars, you fill a piggy bank full of coins. How do you open up the piggy bank? You pay money. After every other level, another pop up comes! A season pass. Season pass? For bubble pop? Oh yes, and of course there’s a paid premium pass too.
Honestly, if this just had been a much simpler experience, I wouldn’t be complaining as much. However, I prefer phone games to calm down between stressful tasks at work, and all this monetization is extremely stressful when I just want to be in the game. I understand that the developers will only really make money off in game purchases, but honestly, if they just stripped it down to optional power up purchases and cosmetics (ie different backgrounds, different styles of bubbles, etc), I would have eventually put more money into the game.
tl;dr: I played around 30 something levels and was spammed by a season pass, a paid piggy bank, and optional adds for more needless power ups.
