This app is garbage

I bought two Fitbit ace devices for my children. I needed to switch the account and FitbitAce does not allow you to move the subscription over to another device… unusable and very frustrating…

Broken permissions model

Doesn’t allow me to invite my wife , garbage

App unusable

FitbitAce is completely unusable. Clicking on anything inside FitbitAce does nothing so I can’t call, text, or locate my kid. Worked fine the first day and then nothing.

Bad connection

It takes forever to receive the text and to update location

App Freezes

The iOS version of FitbitAce freezes up and you cant click anything. Garmin kids watch is about to get my business instead.

No watch to watch calls; locked into gmail

The good: calls and gps are reliable. The bad: (1) no watch to watch calls (so my kids cannot coordinate leaving school together or walking to school with their friends); (2) only Gmail users may be added to contacts; and (3) calls to phones only may be made to users of Gmail accounts via the Fitbit ACE app. For us, this has meant very limited functionality: contacting parents and grandparents. That’s it. None of my young children’s friends have email accounts or access to receive calls on the parents’ phones (parents of friends would have to opt into the Fitbit ACE app). None of this information was disclosed up front. This only became apparent when trying to set up the watch. I probably would not have bought these watches given the limited functionality.

Good for parents, and little else

Works well for what it dies, but I can’t understand why a watch for our kid includes not being able to contact our other kids or their friends, only adults. Google, step it up and figure it out that we need more than adult contacts on here.

Works great for our needs

My 9 yr old wanted more independence and to be able to walk home from school and ride his bike around the neighborhood. This gives me peace of mind knowing I can track him and he can call me if anything comes up. The games are highly motivating to get him to move more. Yes it’s simplistic but that’s perfect for his adhd brain and keeps things focused on staying in touch with only people I allow to be added to his profile and moving/exercising more. It also prevents him from trying to find backdoor ways to download apps if he had a phone instead, like he tried to do with our iPad.

Fit bit ace Spicy

So far we liked the new Fit bit ace.Add features like parents can also send voice messages to kids.Looking forward to see more child safety features update from google for this product.

This is amazing!

I love this watch, so does my daughter playing out of her watch is amazing! We love the games and everything is including the family quest. We would like more family quests soon thank you.

Best kids watch on the market

App is nice. School mode is great. Gets kiddo moving more.

Great fun watch

Great watch. My son loves it. Games are nice. Makes him more active. Bands are fun to use.

Awesome device and app

App works well and is easy to use and reliable. Son loves his watch

Success w 11yo

My 11 yo uses his Fitbit ace watch to keep in touch with us and his trusted friends. Love how “locked down” this watch is - cannot be used as a vector for bullying or spam. Great peace of mind for parents.

Great for two young kiddos!

The Fitbit Ace is exactly what we were looking for! Love that all communications are through FitbitAce (versus a phone number where spammers could target).

Highly recommend to anyone looking for a safe communication device for the younger ones.

Best for Both Kids and Parents

The way my two kids have taken to their Aces, playing together, sharing bands, chatting together and chatting with us parents is simply remarkable. It’s solved all our problems on communicating with them when we’re apart, and knowing precisely where they are, while have active fun.

My favorite things about Fitbit Ace:
- love how all communication is thru FitbitAce
- everything in one place
- easy for parents and kids to use
- something the kids love to engage with every day

And messaging with the kids has opened up a whole new manner of communicating with them. They have unique new voices over text that we didn’t know before 😜

Connected but not distracted kids

Perfect for us, we’ve tried Apple watches SE but the spam calls and small screen made it difficult for kids to interact. This Fitbit Ace LTE is a little niche, kids don’t have a phone number, everything is done in app, but we love it since no more kids adding friends, chatting in class, etc. for my kids, the watch offers fun activities that keep them engaged but not distracted. For older kids this may not be appealing, but for 6-11 year olds, this is perfect.

My 10 yr old loves it

My 10 yr old daughter loves the watch. It gives us a peace of mind, too, when we know where she is, and the fact that she can contact us if she needs to. She’s messaged me about her forgotten water bottle (dropped off in the car trunk), her new school pickup time due to sports practice … etc. It’s given her more independence, without the smart phone “addiction“ or social media, which we think she is still too young for. And, she really enjoyed the games outside of her school time we set on her watch.

Keeping my kids connected and safe

FitbitAce has quickly become an essential for my family. Messaging my kids is a breeze. They absolutely love sending emojis back and forth!
While FitbitAce is a bit simplistic right now, I can definitely see the potential. A few quick UI tweaks and it could be even more amazing.
The location tracking is spot on, which gives me peace of mind knowing where my kids are at any given moment. The "find my watch" feature with the sound alert is a lifesaver for those inevitable moments when the watch gets misplaced.
Call quality is surprisingly clear, and I love that I can reset the lock screen code remotely if they forget it.
Overall, I'm really impressed with FitbitAce. It's easy to use, has some great features, and I can see it only getting better with future updates. Highly recommend!
