Meal Planner and Grocery List Reviews

I love 99% of MealPlannerandGroceryList's functionality. It has a clean appearance. Moving items between home and shopping list is easy. I especially love being able to look at just one store or all the lists at once. The menu feature works better than most other apps I’ve tried.

But, why oh why, is there no ability to search what’s in my pantry? I have my items organized so nicely but can’t easily check what I already have. If I log all my pantry, fridge, and freezer items I have to scroll endlessly to find a specific item to see if it’s already been purchased. I tried the premium trial, but that does not give the option. I created an account, but that’s no help. A simple search function would make MealPlannerandGroceryList perfect. To have gone through a ton of time setting this up and finding it without that must-have feature is frustrating. Sorry, but that’s an absolute deal breaker for me.

If you want an app that will help you easily find what’s already in your pantry, keep looking.

I like MealPlannerandGroceryList but this is the second month I’m using it and when I uploaded my grocery list, I can’t tell if it’s for this month only, or for this month and last month. I upgraded to the paid version and all my previous meals and recipes went away. I’ve invested hours already on this thing that was supposed to make my life easier but so far it hasn’t acted like I need it to.

Could the shopping list please also count the quantity of each item you need to purchase after the menu and list are completed? This would be very helpful.

Not sure why my app calendar only shows 5 days of the calendar but the dates are super off as well as the day of the week. I paid for the lifetime app before trying because it doesn’t give you a trial option.

I’ve been using MealPlannerandGroceryList for about a week and so far it’s easy to use, would like to have a box to check off groceries purchased. MealPlannerandGroceryList does look a bit dated, but some other apps are much too confusing, this one is user friendly.

Just started using this and it is sonewhat helpful alrhought not as robust as I jad hoped. I wish the shopping list had a check mark feature to check off what you buy to making geocery shopping more effective & efficient.

I wanted a free meal prep app that I could use to help keep me organized. I have only used this one for about a week, but so far so good. It doesn’t have all the features I wish it did, and the shopping list feature isn’t my favorite but it is the best one I could find for free.

It was a very pleasant app, although it was very Skibidy It should’ve been sigma… but alas, it wasn’t! when I got on it, I got the urge to build Legos, and play Minecraft… and I don’t even like Minecraft I’m more of a Nintendo person! MealPlannerandGroceryList is great! It’s exactly what I needed to help me cook with more variety - by planning better. I love that once you enter a recipe and its ingredients, you can just choose it from a pulldown for future meals. A great feature to add would be a way to move ingredients from a recipe to the shopping list with just a click.

I was so excited when I found MealPlannerandGroceryList. I’ve been wanting to plan my meals for my family for a long time but never actually went through with it. Now I do and it’s helped so much!! My stress level has decreased. The chaos of “what’s for dinner!?” has stopped. My shopping trips are a lot more intentional and therefore less time consuming. I just love MealPlannerandGroceryList and I’m so happy to have found it.

This is exactly what I was looking for! I chose MealPlannerandGroceryList over half a dozen or so other ones that I tried ultimately because of the flexibility it offers. In real life plans change, and MealPlannerandGroceryList reflects that.

I love that you can easily drag and drop meals to change them around, you can put notes in on each meal (very useful), and there’s a place at the bottom for “extras” allowing even more flexibility and planning. Having everything in one place and all my options before me without feeling shackled to the meal plan has been a game changer.

Thought was clearly put into the users’ experience. It has all the features I would want while maintaining its simplicity. Helps to take the overwhelm out of the task of meal planning. This is the only meal planner I’ll use now.

I also appreciate that the developers really do seem to listen to feedback and continue to update and improve MealPlannerandGroceryList . Thank you!

Update: The widget stopped working for me so I reached out to the developer and got a very prompt response. They spent their time to really look into it and even outlined steps I could take to fix it. Really impressed. Turns out it’s an IOS problem.
I’d also previously complained about the ads but I get it and they don’t seem as obtrusive now.

I love planning and staying organized…I get twice as much done. Joni has been very responsive and quick to fix any issues found (which have not been many). I purchased the lifetime plan and am very pleased!

Very easy to use. Helps save a lot of time during the day. Very helpful for staying organized. Recipes feature is great. Well designed. Definitely recommend.

I wanted to just plan meals in advance on an app as if it were a calendar. Most others make you deal with ingredients and recipes. I just want to type freestyle. This may have those options but I’m not interested. My goal is to eat better and not waste food so the reminders are great too. When I start thinking about an easy drive thru option after work, I get a reminder about what I already have planned.

So simple and easy to plan meals for my family! My husband and I share so we can easily grocery shop and plan as far out as we want.

This is a great app to help keep track of what’s in my pantry and what I need from the grocery store. After the initial work of putting all the pantry, refrigerator and freezer items in MealPlannerandGroceryList it was incentive to pay for MealPlannerandGroceryList just so I could keep all that info.
We enjoy making the menus for several days in advance and it’s nice to know what’s in the pantry just by looking at the list. We also enjoy having access to the recipes included in MealPlannerandGroceryList .
I think MealPlannerandGroceryList is easy to navigate and very handy.

Using this to plan for a group vacation and it’s been helping organize

I just purchased MealPlannerandGroceryList on a monthly subscription. It appears very easy to use, yet is thorough. I like that I can easily keep track of meals, make a quick note about the meal, and then have an easy-to-use calendar of the things I’ve made. I also like that I can add the recipes and pictures for looking back.

One question and perhaps if I took a bit more time, I could find the answer but can I sync between my iPad and iPhone? Would certainly make it easier when I’m at the grocery store to have just my iPhone.

Love MealPlannerandGroceryList! I have been through several meal planner/grocery list apps- some have been great, but I just couldn’t find one that fit all my needs. But this one does! Some of the things I love about MealPlannerandGroceryList- I can view my menu in list or month view. It is easy to move or even copy a meal over to another date. I can add tags to categorize meals. I can add a picture of a recipe or easily find the recipe’s website and add it through MealPlannerandGroceryList , then save it to my recipes. I can pull ingredients from a recipe into my shopping list. I can add side dishes to a meal. The list goes on! MealPlannerandGroceryList just makes things so easy to do, which makes my life easier! Thanks for such a great, user-friendly app!

Got MealPlannerandGroceryList to help plan out family meals for the month. Love the month view and ability to save recipes and reuse them. Grocery list is helpful and I like the option to search for new recipes. Very easy to use. Just what I needed!
