Clearly states on the website that approved contacts works with Gabb phone but it doesn’t. Only works with Gabb watch and company won’t refund you without a huge $50 restocking fee. Buyer beware.

I’ve had the worst setup experience ever!!!

Just installed it, GabbMessenger crashes and won’t open. Reinstalled and same situation.

App won’t even open on my phone. My experience with Gabb has been awful. From one technical issue to the next. The Gabb Id app is t working on my child’s phone.

GabbMessenger has only worked randomly on my phone. When it does work, it’s been great to alert me of sus texts being sent to and from my kids. But when it doesn’t work, it’s obviously no help.

It worked at first but now I can’t even open it.

For a few weeks Gabb Messenger for parents has not been working. I have reached out to Gabb Support and their response has been they are uncertain as to why and that hopefully it will be fixed soon? Is the issue with GabbMessenger or software?

I have been trying to use GabbMessenger for over two weeks. It doesn’t open. This bothers me because that means I can’t monitor like the phone is supposed to be functioned to do.

I installed this a couple months ago and it worked fine. Suddenly it keeps crashing. I have uninstalled and reinstalled it several times. I'm very dissapointed, because I'm excited to have this feature.

We have been using the Gabb watch and were satisfied with that. So we decided to upgrade to the Gabb Phone 3 Pro. The new phone prompted us to download the Gabb Messenger Parent app to control contacts and messages. Since the upgrade, we have not been able to sync our approved contacts to the Gabb phone. The Gabb phone has been able to receive phone calls and text messages from unauthorized phone numbers. I have spent hours texting Gabb support over a period of a few days to try and fix this issue, with no avail. Don’t try to call, the number is at its max and will not even put you in the waiting cue. At the moment, this product is not safe for my child to use, and it seems that no one on the Gabb support side can help.

It won’t sync with the phone

Why push Gabb Messenger to regular Gabb Phones before the Parent App can sync to it. No my child has messages that are in review and we can’t look at them to approve. Fix this fast or we’ll need to leave Gabb. This is unacceptable.

I am unable to cancel MMS because of this update? I no longer want my kids to beable to receive photos but was told it can’t be taken off now that the messenger has been updated.i was unaware of this when adding it to begin with. Just another way to get more money!

Installed GabbMessenger , and after a day I went in to change it it parent controlled. I was able to add a few contacts but then we had a power outage due to weather. Now I cannot get GabbMessenger to open. Rebooted my phone and still cannot access GabbMessenger .

I was only able to actually use GabbMessenger once. GabbMessenger crashes every time I open it. I have deleted and reinstalled and it is the same thing. Also I could only get one of my children’s info on it the one time it worked.

This seems like a great idea - and I can’t wait for it to be more stable.

I chose the feature where the parent chooses the contacts, and the child cannot add contacts. After doing that, GabbMessenger crashed, and no contacts can be added, so I am basically paying a monthly fee for a paperweight. Tech-support said they cannot add contacts for me, and don’t have a fix yet. Seriously?

Set up my daughter’s phone yesterday for the first time. Was able to message for a few minutes then it just stopped working altogether. Unable to even get past the opening screen without it just freezing. Have deleted and reinstalled twice without success. Frustrated with the Gabb experience already.

We bought this phone for my daughter for Christmas. GabbMessenger was crashing in January, then started working, but now is crashing again. I really want to like GabbMessenger but it has been frustrating.

I have a gabb phone I got for my bday. I am grateful but, I just want to send a voice text or make groupchats or even send photos. I have to buy the MSM plan or have permission. I also try to connect with my wireless earbuds, but it still kicks me out of the radio! And one more thing, I know if I should buy these apps or not, like Duolingo or roblox. It's kind of annoying but you can get apps on the teen phone which I find unfair because my friend has one and they can get apps. I don't hate the gabb phone.... But I don't love it. It's ok.

GabbMessenger stopped notifying me of flagged texts. All notifications setting in GabbMessenger and on my phone haven’t changed. Thankful my child came to be about a situation but this is a big issue

Gabb’s website advertises that you can monitor messages and calls. There are NO restrictions on phone calls on the phone like there is on the watch. I would like to be able to have an approved contact list for calls too. I would also like to be able to see messages.

GabbMessenger is buggy. The overall Gabb experience has been clunky.
I like that the phone itself has no social media and looks like a "real" phone.
However, GabbMessenger is constantly notifying me that there are messages for me to review, but when I go to GabbMessenger , there may be nothing, there may be 10 new messages. There is a lag time between the message on your child's phone and the message appearing on GabbMessenger .
Phone calls are not logged on GabbMessenger. I think I have to log in to the Gabb website to see that. There is also a separate Gabb app to track my child's phone location.
The fact that I am logging into 3 different things to get full use of the Gabb phone is awkward and annoying.

still lacking a few features that I beleive are key to use GabbMessenger , but it is much better now and it is working.

So some of you may think that the gabb phone 3 pro is scary because sometimes you can get calls from unauthorized users or people sometimes even robots (computers) but if that ever happens, dont answer, block them, delete them, do something besides answer. Be smart. You chose this phone so be smart with it.

I’m excited for the release of GabbMessenger. I love that I can choose how much or little control of my daughters phone and contacts I feel is needed. Plus alerts on concerning messages helps me feel more at ease with my daughter texting.

UPDATE: Gabb was able to fix GabbMessenger crash and it’s working great now.

I downloaded the parenting app. It gives you the choice to choose who controls the phone contacts: parent or child. I chose myself (parent). Then GabbMessenger crashed. Now my child’s phone is basically non functional because he can’t call or text anyone because GabbMessenger crashed before I could approve his already loaded contacts. And now GabbMessenger will not load. I have deleted and reinstalled numerous times. No luck. Beware.
Update. Gabb contacted me directly and quickly began working to find out what the problem might be. It’s still in the works but I appreciate the quick action.

Got ahead of a potentially bad thing today with GabbMessenger.

It’s pretty unbelievable what the team at Gabb has put together. I am so impressed by the seamlessness of GabbMessenger.

The parent messenger app has been great! I’ve been able to keep my children safe by getting the inappropriate messages, and ensured they can only text my approved contacts! Love it!

Stop Access to cell phone should be banned for children. Apple has enough technology to do what Gabb does, but they refused to do it because of consumers and making money. Kids should not have access to Internet. It is worse than nicotine and alcohol. buying iPhones for your teenagers. Access to Internet, and all things on iPhone should be banned from children.

Love GabbMessenger. It helps me keep my kids safe. Monitors texts that I might miss. And sends me notifications when they are received.

GabbMessenger has been a blessing! It helped me catch a bully and find out about bullying that my child didn't tell me about. GabbMessenger flags curse words, racial slurs, and Web links. in GabbMessenger , it says that your child will not receive the messages if the person is not in their contacts but if the person is in their contacts, unfortunately the child will still see the flag messages. I am using this with an old iPhone and I have no problems from day one.
