I will make it simple for you. I choice Never too far to read. First 16 chapters free. The book had a total of 326 chapter. I figure out how many coins I would need and it was over 5,000. It cost $49.99 for 3500 coins. No romance book is worth that much money. Deleting app now.

I am so addicted to this novel!!! I just love Kathleen . Lot the family dynamics can wait for them to be totally together. Let Nicolette leave and go abroad. Enough of her scheming.

I was sort of enjoying the story I was reading. The premise was interesting, but the grammar and editing mistakes were really bad. Then I realized the story was just going to go and on and on. You have to use “points” every page or two! I could buy two or three books at cover price for the cost of one badly written story here. Needless to say I didn’t finish.

I want to read these books in the worst way. The blurbs on Facebook are killing me and I’m certain they they know it.
However, I calculated the cost and no book, save for one that actually gives me magical powers, is worth what’s being asked to read the entire book, which is still in progress. This makes me sad, but I’m not going to fall into this trap.

The books are good but Tapon is a rip off. It doesn’t track the hours you read and it is very costly to keep buying coins to unlock chapters. I wouldn’t recommend Tapon it’s advertised as free reading but the more you read the more coins each chapter cost you unlock. It started out with 10 per chapter now I’m up to 30 coins to unlock 9 pages of reading.

Made a mistake of reading few chapters, paid $20 just so i cam finish the story. I only reached Chapter 110. There are 460 plus chapters and the novel is still ongoing. Wasted my time and money coz the plot was poorly written. Story line has so many unnecessary branching off which is totally not needed in the story. It was obviously written just to create more chapters.
Save your time, money and tremendous frustration. TOTALLY NOT WORRH IT!

Love the books but too expensive

if you want to read a book this is not the place fir you. Some books have thousands of 4 page chapters. Yet you get to the last chapter and have to wait another day to read the next one. So so frustrating!

But dang it's freaking expensive and the chapter is getting a ng shorter and shorter

The story is interesting, but you can’t finish the book! I got to a certain point and I have to wait every day for two new chapters. It says it’s ongoing! I want to finish the book before I start a new one! So annoying! It’s also very expensive.

I started reading a book at 11pm and was up until 3am… had to buy coins to continue reading only to realize the book had over 2000 chapters and I was only at 53. Really feel like I wasted my money and just ended up quitting.

How do we turn off comments I don’t like the numbers by the words?

I am more than happy to pay an appropriate amount of money to read a book on Tapon but the fees are unacceptable! It’s unfortunate because the author is very enticing and if they charges a fair amount they would make more money versus trying to scam people.

It pisses me off how they say in their ad that all chapters are free when they are not!!!! That is false advertisement at its finest!!!! SMDH. Liars! It gets two stars because I won’t condemn the authors for a poor marketing strategy that is a lie!

I’m really interested in the book I’m reading. It keeps you very eager to keep reading. Here’s the problem I have. I have spent $90.00. I know, stupid. After spending that much money and reading 1027 chapters, it just ends. There’s nothing left and the story isn’t over. WTH Please don’t get sucked into this scam.

These books are made to spend more than $100 for each book. It’s ridiculous

Tapon keeps making you pay to open chapters. After 20 USD I still wasn’t through the book. Rediculous!

Why do you advertise a book that all chapters are free only to go and find out it’s a lie

I have read for two days and tried to redeem bonus points. None of them loaded into my queue to unlock books. I will not reload or finish and be robbed of my bonus points!

You get so many chapters free then are charged coins to continue. I’ve spent $15 in coins and I personally don’t see that allowing me to finish the book based on the number of chapters. I would prefer to buy a hard copy, and by time I finish the book having paid coins it seems like it will cost more than if I were able to buy a hard copy

I started a couple of stories, and they were mostly good, but when $20 doesn’t even get you half the chapters it turns into a rip off. Not all of us are wealthy enough that we can afford to pay this site $80-$100 a book. That $100 I figured out would cover the one book I did the math for is my book budget for the entire year.
Books on their site advertised as free to read are not. The first 6-12 chapters are but the remaining 100+ chapters all pay per chapter with the price being different for each chapter. The cheapest I saw was 25 coins. I think that chapter was 8 pages. I’ll stick to KU, the library and bargain hunting for affordable books. I love to read but I will not pay amounts that would leave me unable to buy food to eat or continue having a place to live that doesn’t involve a tent or cardboard box. This is just another scam aimed at readers. They find stories that get you hooked in the first 5-10 chapters then bleed you for money. I feel for their authors since I doubt that the majority of the income generated by their books make it to them. If it does then the authors are ripoff artists too.

Unless you just have money to waste Tapon is ridiculous. You have to buy tokens to unlock chapters and you end up spending a ridiculous amount of money when you could buy the book outright for less.

I decided to try out Tapon because everything I’ve read says it’s free. It isn’t free at all. The least you could do is be true to your word or make it so your customers can watch an ad to unlock the next chapter instead of them having to pay real money.

Writers are great don’t get me wrong…but it’s so expensive!! It’s literally $100 to finish one book! This is a scam. An absolute scam. Why is there not an option to just the book? A waste of my time. Thanks.

Saw An Add For Tapon In Instagram, It Said “ Stop Reading Half Of The Novel, All Novels Here Are Free” I Click The Link To Go To Tapon , Download And Start Reading, Just To Find Out That The Novels Are In Fact. Not Free And Is Like Every Other Reading App. They Give You A Few Starter Chapters To Get You Hooked And Then Make You Pay For The Rest Of The Book. I Would Not Have Downloaded Tapon If I Knew I Had To Pay, I Already Have Plenty If Reading Apps That I Pay For Already, They Don’t Need Any New Friends.

You can buy a paperback for less than $15, yet to read 1 book costs a fortune! I’m on chapter 54 and it has already cost $15 with over 200 chapters in the book! Chapters are only a few pages. Stories seem good, but I’m leaving them Unfinished. Simply not worth the costs. Way better Apps out there for less and you can finish a book without breaking the bank!

Falsely advertise that all books are free - they are not! After the first several chapters, you have to start paying - A LOT OF MONEY. I wouldn’t mind paying a few dollars to read the remainder, but what is charged here, and all other apps like these, is excessive. Going back to my Kindle, where books are a much better deal.

Tapon is such a rip off. They totally scammed me out if money. Purchased coins and they would not give me the proper amount even after I contacted their poor excuse for customer support. the chapters if you can call them that are but a few pages and it cost upwards to 31 coins to unlock a “chapter”. The book I was reading had 248 “chapters” and counting. So the price of the book was just ridiculous. This is just a scam of an app. I am all for supporting authors but this is just ridiculous.

I love the story it has my attention I want to see where is going it’s exciting I just find that it’s a little expensive to keep reading

Story is entertaining. A bit too much fluff for me, with the constant descriptions of people’s looks. I thought this was advertised as “free” but I’m truth if you really want to read it you have to pay.

I love the story I’m reading but it’s getting expensive trying to finish the book when there are over 400 chapters and you only get 16 free. I think they should make it where you can unlock after paying $10 to $15 for the whole thing because I can pay for a whole book for that or less!! I have already put $20 into it but man make it cheaper would be nice.

I enjoy reading the books on this app. Their books are suspenseful and have a twist to it and not boring. So far, I’m happy with what I’m reading right now with Elisa and Garrett. I hope that Elisa finds out what really happened to her father and for Garrett to wake up and find out Linda’s true color.

I’m enjoying 7 or 8 books at the moment. I love that there is the wait to read free but I still need to pay for chapters because I just need to reed more. Thank you for making it a little bit easier to rea by having this offer.

Great stories but if you’re not willing to spend money it takes a long time to read since you only get a couple chapters daily

Tapon is free and the first 16 chapters are and then you have to buy points to unlock chapters which would be fine if it wasn’t so expensive. I spent $35 on points for one book and I’m barely half way through it. You get 16 for free but all the books are 100+ chapters with each chapter “costing” 25+ points. I think it’s a bit ridiculous to spent $80+ on each book

Great app to read books! I enjoy Tapon and the list of books that it has has. It’s a nice variety of books.

The number of coins per chapter begins to increase big time so you end up spending so much money. $120 dollars later and nowhere near the end of the story. The chapters get shorter and filled with useless information that clearly serves to prolong the narrative.

Very very disappointing as the initial storyline was so captivating and you don’t mind paying something. But after $120, shorter chapters which cost more and more coins, you realize that this isn’t a mutually beneficial experience. This is quite simply scam.

To start with its false advertising because it says free and once you get into the story, then you have to start buying points to read the next chapter and then keep buying points constantly enable to keep reading. You can buy the full book in the store and only pay 1/4 of what they are charging here. Total total rip off. Nothing free about it. They should be turned in for false advertising. Attorney General’s office should be the first place to start to report this if anyone’s interested. When you say free then it should be free. It’s a con job. And they should be ashamed of themselves.

I love Tapon, but every once and a while it glitches sooo much. I had 100 bonuses and closed my app out, opened it back up a few minutes later… all of my bonuses are gone. It’s happened to me 3 different times already.

Look I got into this be cause I like the stories but when I get my check in and go to read later the bonus is gone and I have to pay for coins what’s up with that y’all took my coins if 58 and now poof I’ve not read one single page today yet and can’t read the entire thing because y’all wNt more money for coins look I love a good book but this is frustr to have to wait to get coins and or read for free after 2 1/2 hours and only
One chapter ?? At a time and this book is 2060 chapters come on !! I want to finish this book but not at this rate will take months

I started reading and enjoying a suggested book. Then, i needed to earn and buy coins to read further. The cost of coins is high. My book has 2600+ chapters. It stopped at 4 or five before I had to buy coins. I did all the bonus items for free coins. Then broke down and bought 3,000 coins. each chapter is only 4-5 pages. they average a cost of 12-15 per chapter. I can patiently read the book in about a year or pay $100+ to read at a normal speed. This is way over priced and greedy. I can buy entire published books & stories for less from other apps.
I will continue to read at the ridiculously slowest rate ever then delete your app.
This is a shame because the writer’s style is enjoyable.
If the cost to read a single book wasn’t so outrageous, I’d rate Tapon with 5 stars for the quality of the writers.

The books i read so far us nice but its so long and the coins you need is many and expensive its like every chapter 24,25,34 its much the smallest amount is 13 you can’t even save the coins so you can’t read more
Got bored end up not reading no more

I was reading “Poor Billionaire’s wife…” on Facebook. After a few short chapters, I was asked to open Tapon to continue to read for free. So I downloaded Tapon . After a chapter or two, I had had to submit some points or buy them!! There are over 600 chapters!
What a rip off!
As soon as I’m done with this review, I plan to delete Tapon.

Loving the books however I wish there was a way to spend a little less. You have to either wait for free coins or buys more to “unlock” chapters and if you get really into a book it could end quoted expensively.

Unlike other story apps, this one doesn’t price gouge, which makes me want to spend more, not only that but the variety is stories is amazing, not just romance but adventure as well!

I have to say out of all the reading apps to choose from, this one is definitely my favorite. I am reading a few of the books already & I have to say they are very amazing & interesting. I can tear myself away from them. Thank u for the awesome books.

The story I am reading is great, however, it will probably cost $100+ to finish it. Getting free coins daily is not enough to unlock one (very short) “chapter”. I don’t have the desire to read a few pages a day on free coins and the cost to purchase coins is too high. I’ve spent $30 to get a third of the way through the book. It’s just not sustainable for me.

The story was really good, but I stopped at $30! I didn’t even finish the story with over 300 chapters, it was getting ridiculous. I have read incredible stories and have bought over 500 ebooks, never once did any of them cost that much. They say it’s free and that may be true, but you have to wait everyday for free coins and watch ads. It works if you’re a person that doesn’t like to finish a story in one sitting or reading over a week.

This used to be my favorite app until they recently updated the amount of time they run those repetitive ads! They went from 30 sec ads to a full min for each. From start to finish each ad is 1 full min. 5 min to get 50 bonus that used to take half that time. Plus the stories I was reading have gone up in price per chapter. I don’t read on Tapon as much any more.

I quickly got over the whole “books aren’t actually free” false advertising because it was pretty easy to earn enough coins to keep reading at a steady pace. However, this most recent update has entirely ruined the experience. Now there is constantly a flashing/changing ad at the bottom of the screen that never used to be there and there are additional ads shoved randomly between pages, which makes it feel like you’re spending coins to unlock a 12 page chapter except 3/12 of those are just full page ads.

Not to mention that the ads at the bottom are supremely distracting in dark mode since theyre huge bright colored banners. Take out the stupid ads! We already watch ads for coins! now we have to be disrupted by ads in the middle of chapters, except there’s no coin rewards for being stuck looking at them? Garbage.

Just wish it didn’t cost so much to read your book, they get you interested in. They have good sales once in awhile, just wish they were more often. I gave it a 4 star cuz of how expensive it cost to read there books.

I’m gonna be honest.. I thought this would be something similar to Wattpad, where you’re able to read as far as you want without pay but I was wrong. I hate when apps have that stupid feature where it’s playing you just to get your money, why can’t you just be like Wattpad instead of being extra? Seriously, stupid coins just to read further, that’s insane!! Not to mention that everyone is not wealthy enough to purchase $80 worth of coins… I’d have given Tapon a five star had this feature never been added, since the writing is actually really good to my knowledge and the plot is great too.

Enjoyed this so much , but I said , it was free , I don’t want to pay for the subscription, I’m not a person that reads much , but this has me very excited about it and interested of how it’s gonna end ,

I was under the impression that all chapters & books were free, but when downloading and opening app first thing it wants is money for reading, not what I expected and not what I wanted sorry but I don't think it's worth the amount I would end up spending just for reading. Already caught lots of errors so I'll pass, have a good day and start advertising that it costs money to read

So far I like the books that I’ve read so far and I really love the shorter stories the best because the ones that have a more then 200 hundred chapters is ridiculous and I end up skipping chapters because they start costing more than I’m willing to spend because it’s just not worth it to me besides they are boring and I start getting bored. So keep up with the good work with the short stories.

I didn't have high expectations of Tapon. The stories are stretched out and repetitive. A chapter is about 1, sometimes 2 short pages. So paying for a chapter is really
Only paying for a page. There are thousands of chapters at about 14 coins each. The vocabulary of the writers is limited “to Billionaire, cold look, child genius, adorable, and cute”. The men are abusive at best. I just deleted Tapon . Customer service is useless.

The stories are good and I would love to listen to them…. But i purchased $10 worth of time and could only listen to two chapters it used all the points. I watch all these ads to make points and they don’t last but a couple of chapters. Way too expensive to purchase…. $10 should have bought the whole book. I’m finding this is way too expensive for me. Deleting app.

Some writers are just great story tellers that can take base, and rewrite that th olds your interest. That’s all good but to deliberately drag out a story to make more money maybe a genius on their part but it bleeds the readers dry. I’ve already spent over $145 and only gone 286 pages and this particular book has over 1000 plus pages. By the time I’m done, if I continue , will cost me over a $1000 for one book. How is this fair. How is this a good thing. This is what spoils it all for me. It’s just plain robbery. I gave it 4 stars to be fair on the story. This interpretation is not bad. But who wants to continually reads how many time she goes to the bathroom, she brushes her hair, she lifts her foot and walk straight into his arms. So many minute details that is unnecessary and is also repetitive is only geared to rob me. I will not be finishing this book” He changed for her”. I simply cannot afford it. I will check in maybe, so I can read the complimentary few pages offered each day I check in. But I will not spend a dime more.

After checking in over the past two days and after watching some of the video ads was allowed, I am not receiving my coins-10 coins for each-maximum 50. This means I am missing the opportunity to obtain 15 ads/week which lessens my reading ability.

Also, there are too many ongoing books.

I love most of the novels in Tapon. They are enjoyable to read. I like the option to read with the adds. I know you earn money by wanting people to pay for coins, but when we have the option to earn coins for free, and they are not added or are being taken away, that’s irritating. We should be allowed to keep what we earn. If you want to stop at 1000 and we not earn past that thats fair but holding off at 530 is wrong.
